The moment she opened her eyes, she knew she was low on time to find food. It had been a week since she ended up in Ponyville. She got to know the ponies who were her guides and they were all…great, if she were honest. Creative and fun and hardworking. They were both similar yet not to her (ex?) friends at home. For example, though both her Twilight and pony Twilight were scholars, this Twilight actually listened to what her friends said and treated them as equals than as if she were the "leader" of their group, though as a young Princess, she did do that once in awhile. She met many ponies other than them as well.
It was thanks to Rarity that she was able to walk around in daylight, as she made a type of hat and jacket for her.
Mr. Discord, as she used to try and subtly differentiate him from her's, had decided to be adamant about Fluttershy staying with him, as to keep a close eye on her…as well as taunt her. He was a lot more…childish, than her Discord. Annoying too.
So, so annoying.
She also had been trying to learn what she could about Ponyville and the way things worked in Equestria. It was hard, usually draining her quickly. She finally told them to call her Breeze, since Fluttershy refused to tell them her real name and couldn't think of a fake one on the spot.
Then…a few days prior, they'd gotten word that pony Fluttershy had woken up. While the other's were overjoyed, Fluttershy didn't know what to do. The hospital had decided to keep an eye on pony Fluttershy for a few days to track her progress and make sure she recovered fully. She wasn't sure what would happen after pony Fluttershy was released. Fluttershy herself would probably be pushed away, or ignored. Part of her hoped not. She'd heard plenty about pony Fluttershy from her friends and she seemed sweet.
Back in her present mind, her body, though it felt different, it was heavy, in pain and her head began to throb once again, like when she'd jumped off the roof. No venom was there, just hunger, she could tell, which was a relief. She didn't need her venom OP-ing anyone else.
Sitting up, she also realized it could've been that she'd been sleeping on a ceiling beam. 'I should get up. I should…I just want My Dissy.' She took a deep breath to stop from crying. She smacked her cheeks. Now wasn't the time! With a determined look, she glanced around, taking another look at Discord's home. It was much neater than Dissy's. She wondered if Dissy could make dimensions like this. They said she had to wait, but…
"Mr. Discord? Are you here?"
No answer.
"Hmm…" she glided down, slowly exploring the home. She looked for fruit, in hopes her body reverted to being able to use fruit as a emergency reserve. Passing by a mirror as she walked through the living area, she stopped. It was strange…still having her brands and scars from her other body. She saw her mane and tail were a tangled mess, but she still had no idea how to brush it, nor where a brush was. Laying her forehead against the oddly warm surface of the mirror, she thought about her mentally unstable lover. Were they considered that? "Please hold on until I get back home, Dissy." Her heart ached. Sighing, she put on a grin. Dissy and the other's had to be fine. She walked into the kitchen, checking everywhere. It was quiet. Too quiet. Would he really leave her alone in his home? She couldn't escape, but really she wanted out. 'How can I leave? I don't even know if it's daylight or not.' "UGH! So frustrating! This Mr. Discord is nothing like Dissy, from what I can observe so far, which is good but also bad when I need the key to escape." Opening the front door, she backed up, ready to take a running start. With a deep breath, she ran, only to tumble to the ground once she was through the door. "Oomph." After a moment, she stood, seeing she was outside! "WHAT?!" Looking behind quickly, she saw there was no portal or anything to where she was. It looked to be dusk, lucky her since it meant she could wander.
She had to find that palace.
It was well into the night and Fluttershy was exhausted. She was pretty sure she got lost. She should've waited until she was more familiar with the areas. But now she wasn't sure where she came from.
Ding
Her ears perked, turning her head everywhere to see where the chime of a bell sounded.
Ding
There it was again! Sitting still, she listened for another.
Ding
Hearing which way, she began to follow it, which most likely wasn't smart, but it was something. Chime after chime, she followed until she got to ruins. She couldn't hear any life nearby. 'Odd.' As she got closer, her curiosity getting the better of her, she began to hear what sounded like buzzing. Gulping the dryness down her throat, she moved slowly, trying her hardest to hover, trying not to make a sound, her sense of smell catching something.
Peeking around a corner, she saw a large bug-like pony creature, one with a horn, fangs, and she was yelling about her misfortune. They didn't seem to catch a whiff of Fluttershy no matter how close she snuck. A breeze blew by, having Fluttershy catch a scent instead.
It smelled like a lemon tart! Fluttershy's heart began to beat quicker, her fangs aching with hunger and her eyes beginning to glow. It was the creature and she smelled delicious.
'I'm so hungry. I can't wait.'
Moving to the best spot to ambush, Fluttershy could feel a building giddiness and adrenaline. She had no idea when her last meal was and here was a feast!
She flew to a crumbling pillar right above the large, pretty being, Fluttershy waited. It took a good 20 minutes of Fluttershy sitting stock still, waiting for her to calm and lower her guard more. Finally she laid down, letting out a big sigh.
Fluttershy's smile went large after she licked her fangs, they pulsing painfully. Folding her wings in tightly against her body, Fluttershy dived down, mouth open wide.
With a silent thud, Fluttershy quickly wrapped her arms around the long neck of the bug, sparing no time as she bit down into the strong neck and began to devour the thick blood eagerly, even as the pony tried moving and thrashing, yelling and trying to use everything she had to toss Fluttershy off, only to result in Fluttershy releasing a loud growl, using her hind legs to kick against her spine.
Fluttershy guzzled until the blood didn't come as freely and the pony grew tired, breathing finally slowing after they'd been like that for close to 10 minutes, maybe more.
Fluttershy was still hungry, drunk on the blood and body more reluctant to let a perfect feast go to waste. Fluttershy sat still for a moment, catching her breath and reeling her head in.
"I don't know the next time I'll be able to eat. I can't do that to Discord." She blinked, her mind wandering to a sight of Discord feeding her chunks of blood soaked meat, his touch soft as always. She shuddered. "I wonder if Dissy would feed me one day?"
The memory of Discord forcibly feeding her his blood while in the middle of an episode, her heart squeezed painfully, a small sob escaping her throat.
Knowing the body wouldn't be fresh long and it would possibly attract more predators, she went towards the stomach, knowing it was the easiest to access. Looking for something sharp and long, she perked at the sharp horn on the pony's head. Breaking it with a good kick, she grabbed it with her mouth and went back to start her task.
She was so blood-drunk that she didn't hear or smell a certain Draconequus pop out of nowhere, having been trying to locate her and introduce her to his Fluttershy, who the day previous had been released but not only was the stranger sleeping, Discord had wanted to make sure Fluttershy was well enough to check on her cottage and visit her family to let them know she was okay.
So he had used his magic to locate his feisty guest and had stopped cold. Laying there next to his guest, was the former Queen Chrysalis. She'd been exiled in a way, the Changelings having had a mutiny and she ran.
With a bloody smile, Fluttershy looked to the dead pony, a good part of her feeling guilty, but she remembered that Tree Hugger had been right. They all were animals. "Thanks for providing me a feast. It's much appreciated. Not just by me either. The people I love will appreciate it as well. I'm sorry I couldn't make your death painless. I promise I'll give you the respect you deserve once I can't eat more." She smiled so sweet, as if there wasn't a dead body lying there.
Taking a deep breath, she used the twisted horn to cut deeply, not that much blood spilling out. Fluttershy huffed a breath after, humming as she went to find the organs with the most nutrients she would need. She was able to eat most, but once she ate the heart practically whole, she yelled out, her back searing in pain and burning. She wouldn't dare upchuck anything she'd eaten, even as pain pulsed all throughout her body. She curled into herself, pounding a hoof into the ground, her breathing heavy.
It felt like hours, but the pain finally subsided, Fluttershy feeling exhausted. She saw the sun was beginning to rise, but before she did anything, she'd have to properly take care of the body she'd feasted on.
With minor burns from the rising sun, Fluttershy was able to bury her in a already present ditch, finding any flowers she could and making a makeshift grave.
Fluttershy shivered, imagining a certain man's strong arms and smoky scent, she wanted to bury herself in Discord's embrace, her full belly making her extra affectionate. With a deep sigh, still unaware of her shocked bystander, she tried finding some water to wash away the blood and gore. "I feel so energized! Thanks for the meal, weird bug-pony!" She giggled happily, loving the feeling of being full.
Looking up, she realized she should return lest the others think she ran off to commit trouble.
Discord, on the other hand, had snapped his fingers to teleport himself as well, unsure what to make of what he'd witnessed, as soon as she took off into the sky, heading back to Ponyville.
It took a few hours, but when she finally saw the outskirts of town, she was excited. That lasted but a minute before she was hit with dizziness and her heart palpitating. Something strong was moving in her veins, she could feel it, her fangs growing and body on fire. She wasn't even sure where in town she was, when her eyes shut heavily, her body going limp high up, the mixture of exhaustion and pain causing her to pass out.
"But she's so sweet. Are you playing a prank on us, Discord?" RainbowDash hovered eye to eye with the Draconequus who scoffed and waved his hand at her.
"You're sure, Discord? If she's that capable, we'll have to warn the Princesses. Maybe we should investi-" Twilight was cut off, Pinkie gasping loudly, pointing to the air.
"Somepony's falling!"
Everyone looked up and saw a Pegasus, the pony jolting and beginning to fall fast.
"Discord! Get them, please!" Fluttershy asked, knowing his magic would be quicker, but she saw him hesitate, which left RainbowDash to go instead, having went before Fluttershy spoke at all.
The other's followed to help as they saw RainbowDash struggle with the Pegasus. "Why is she so hot to the touch?! She feels on fire!" Once on the ground, RainbowDash dropped her, looking at her hooves to see they truly looked like they were sizzling.
"Are you okay?" Fluttershy asked, looking to her best friend's hooves.
"Yeah." She replied, looking where everypony else was.
Twilight and even Discord had tried using magic to cool off the fevered Breeze, but to no luck, their magic barely touching her, so they had resorted to an emergency trip to the Princesses, especially when Discord had decided the easiest way to transport her would be via bubble, but it only crumbled, turning to magic powder that soaked into the still unconscious pony.
"We have to get Princess Celestia and Luna, NOW." Twilight looked, eyes wide in alarm.
They didn't know the pony that well, but something, maybe the years of experience, told them, this wasn't a good sign.
