A week had passed since Luffy's group's sea escape attempt and Sanji's arrival among them. And since all this time, their situation had remained the same, while they were still stuck on the island. Needless to say, no help had yet come to help them. Much to their dismay, all they could do was roam the island, looking for other survivors.

Although it had seemed strange to them for the first few days, they had finally seen their situation improve surprisingly. First, they had managed to find a cave large enough to house them properly. In addition, the habitat was within walking distance of a lake and a forest, including several fruit trees. Long story short, it was the perfect place for Nami to quickly recover her strength.

The young redhead was just inside the cave. Shirtless, she lay on her stomach as she again presented her injury to the group doctor.

"If you enjoy looking at anything other than my wound, I'll kill you."

"I know! I know." Law said, in a bored voice.

Being behind the duo, Shirahoshi also inspected Nami's back, while belaying.

"I think it's much better."

Indeed, her wound had managed to close and the duo could only distinguish a large scar whose shape resembled the jaw of the ambulocetus.

"Are you sure?" the schoolgirl asked.

"For now, we can only say that the infection has been avoided." Law declared. "At first glance, you don't seem to have a fever and your wound hasn't suffered any infection! The antibiotics we gave you worked perfectly! However,..."

Inspecting the bones of his shoulder, he looked skeptical.

" What's the matter ? "

"Just… is your shoulder hurting?"

"A little when I move my arm." Nami confessed. "Why? What's wrong?"

"No, I'm just wondering if your shoulder wasn't slightly dislocated when the monster slammed into you to bite you! Considering the power of its jaws, I wouldn't be surprised if it has degraded your shoulder bones."

"Can you confirm it?" asked Shirahoshi.

"Of course not." Law retorted. "Only an X-ray can tell us! But, if the pain continues to persist, it could confirm that I am right."

"And what should I do, for now?" Nami asked.

" Nothing so far. " Law affirmed, standing up.

Walking towards the entrance of the cave where they were, he simply affirmed.

"Just keep your brace around your arm to stabilize it! Then we'll wait a few days, hoping your shoulder is better! For now, that's all I can do."

"Thank you very much." Nami thanked him, putting her top back on. "But I hope the scar won't stay! It's awful!"

" Don't believe in miracles. " Law retorted. "I remind you that this wound almost killed you! Most of the scar should disappear during the next few days! However, there will still be traces that will never disappear. "

"In that case, it's not that bad." Shirahoshi affirmed. "After all, come to think of it, it's nothing compared to the fact that you almost got yourself killed."

Despite her beautiful words, the schoolgirl couldn't help but sigh. In truth, she was thinking about the reaction others might have to seeing the state of her shoulder and back. For a man, having such a scar could evoke a certain feeling of pride in being able to present such an injury.

But for Nami, this scar brought her nothing but disgust. Seeing her somewhat demoralized, Shirahoshi affirmed.

"Luffy-san won't mind you having a mark like that." Truth be told, the fact that he hugged you, seeing that you were still alive, shows that you mean a lot to him ! It's certainly not your scar that will change anything in your relationship.

Blushing, hearing this, Nami immediately roared.

"Luffy and I are not a couple at all! We are friends and that's it."

"Really?" asked Shirahoshi. "Yet You..."

"Luffy is nice and someone I trust." Nami assured, stopping her. "Nevertheless, I know perfectly well that I would not be lying if I said that I have no feelings of love for him. From now on, I know that I owe him a huge debt for saving me! But that does not mean that I would live by his side to thank him."

"But... Luffy-san surely has someone who likes him or there is surely a girl who likes him."

"Huh? Why this question?"

"Luffy-san... Since we've been on an island, Law-san and him have shown how amazing they are! I doubt anyone in your high school noticed that."

"In truth, Law-san has already experienced a good number of love letters or intimate confessions." Nami told him. "After all, he is gifted... someone calm and serious... athletic... and having an attractive physique! In truth, I never found it strange that he attracted attention of many girls...even though that love has always been one-sided! As for Luffy..."

Letting out a tired sigh, she declared.

"He's always been nothing but trouble! He's always had the worst grades in school...he's become the enemy of the teachers...he's loud and immature...in truth, I think few girls could be satisfied to have a romantic relationship with him."

"Still, I'm sure if another girl from your school would have replaced me, she would have immediately fallen in love with Luffy-san, knowing who he really was."

Hearing this, Nami stared at the stewardess, before displaying a mischievous smile.

"What's wrong?" asked Shirahoshi.

"By any chance...didn't you fall in love with Luffy?"

Hearing this, the flight attendant's face turned red. Then she stuttered.

"I...I...I don't know what you're talking about."

Then, she grabbed some clothes, before declaring.

"I'm going to take this to the lake to wash them."

Seeing her active, to avoid continuing their conversation, Nami chuckled somewhat. Then, dressed again, Alexia decided to go for a walk outside. When she was about to leave the cave, she saw two small figures moving not far from her.

Having become their new ''companions'', the two ptiloduses that Shirahoshi had met at the beginning of the adventure seemed to have succeeded in finding the trace of the air hostess. Shirahoshi, who no longer seemed to feel the slightest fear towards them, let them roam around the cave, as they pleased, as soon as Luffy and the others were not there. to tell the truth, Sanji seemed to have frightened them, the day when he had suggested to kill the two rodents to cook them.

Currently, the two squirrels were both fighting on a pile of palm fronds, or something like that, that acted as a bed.

"Hep! Get down from there, you two." Nami ordered them, twirling her good arm. "If Sanji-kun sees you on his bed, I bet you will become tonight's diner."

Although not understanding the reason for his gesture, the two squirrels immediately left the pile of leaves to seek refuge with Shirahoshi.

" It's still strange that they got so attached to you. " Nami remarked, seeing one of them climb on the young woman's shoulder.

"I think like you." Confessed the stewardess, stroking the animal's head. "But whatever! Their presence doesn't bother me at all and the boys ended up approving their presence! But if you ask me, I think giving them food is probably the reason they decided to stay with me. "

"They're like dogs." Nami remarked.

"We've been here almost a week." Luffy noticed.

Sitting on a rock, he looked at the clouds, which floated above his head. In his hand he had a kind of hatchet, similar to the one Who's Who had made to kill me. However, compared to his, Luffy's weapon was smaller, but he could wield it with one hand.

"Yes, let's hurry out of here." Sanji chimed in, as he picked to fill a bag with berries. "I can't find Vivi-san by staying here."

"You have to know what you want, guys." Law retorted, walking towards them, with his computer under his arm.

Then sitting down on a rock, he opened his computer and continued to draw his virtual map of the island.

"When there is danger, you complain about being close to death! And when we can finally breathe, you complain too! You are never satisfied. "

While listening to it, Luffy looked at his computer and wondered how the object could still have battery after all the times the high school student had used it, without being able to recharge it. The boy was going to make this remark to his owner, but he was preempted by Sanji, who replied to Law.

"Even though I'm no match for the creatures on this island, my knightly soul commands me to rescue all the girls who are eagerly waiting for me to come to them. My heart fills with guilt, every time that I think about the fact that they live in fear."

Law immediately sighed in desolation.

"When you get down to it, you really get out of big nonsense! For once you find a quiet place on this island, you might as well take the opportunity to assess the situation and rest a little! Honestly, I don't want to fall back on an andrewsarchus or some other predator! What do you think, Strawhat-ya?"

"Huh…honestly, I'm like Sanji! I wish we could go back to finding our friends."

"Everything in its time." Law retorted. "Right now, with Nami still having her injured shoulder, it's best to stay here to allow her to heal properly! Forcing her to use her injured arm could damage her for life! Plus…"

His screen now showed photos of various prehistoric animals.

"After the fiasco that we experienced, when the andrewsarchus attacked us, I think that we must now list the potential animals that we can find on this island and immediately think of hypothetical solutions to avoid getting kill. "

" It's useless. " Luffy retorted. "After all, it was precisely because we trusted Apu's theory that we almost got ourselves killed."

"I talked about hypotheses." Law retorted. "The ideas offered may not be right! But at least talking about the weaknesses of our enemies could still benefit us."

"Do we really need this?" Luffy asked, not very happy at the idea of having to spend his time learning things that didn't really interest him. "If another monster appears, we can do the usual...kick his ass."

Immediately, he felt Sanji's foot hit the top of his head.

"Idiot! Three people died because we were unable to save them! Luffy, we are not superhumans who can perform miracles whenever they want."

"But... I managed to save Nami."

Heaving a simple sigh, Sanji sat down in front of him, while declaring.

"There's no need to reason with you! Nevertheless, I have to tell you that if Nami was saved, it's thanks to you. But that's bad news for me."

"What's your problem with that?" Luffy questioned him.

"No, nothing! Just that now that I think about it, I can try to take advantage of the situation to impress the girls in our group! And if I'm unable to do that with Nami-swan, I'll try to show my good sides to Shirahoshi-san." He said, looking serious and a small smile at the corner of his mouth.

"Huh?" Luffy wondered. "Weak-hoshi? Pick her up? Are you fool?"

"Huh, what's that reaction?" Sanji wondered. " I don't see where the problem is. "

"Nothing." Luffy affirmed. "It's just that you always had a habit of flirting with Nami and the others."

"Are you blind?" Law asked him. "Even me, I know he's tried to woo grown women before! This guy is the worst pervert I know."

"Excuse me?" Sanji roared.

"How can you be interested in an old woman?" Luffy questioned.

Immediately, Sanji grabbed him by his collar before shaking him.

"ASSHOLE! A 24-year-old woman will never be an old woman! On the contrary, it is the perfect age! A woman will never be more beautiful than when she is between 20 and 30 years old."

"You wouldn't be able to flirt with a 100-year-old woman anyway." Law stated.

"Think again! The first girlfriend I had was a customer at the restaurant where I work as a waiter.! She was the best."

"Did you date an adult?" Luffy wondered.

"Not really." He confessed. " In fact, ... "

Brooding, he confessed.

"She had come to the restaurant several times and I always served her like a gentleman! And each time, she had declared that I was cute! But, one day, she came... with her husband! is where it all stopped."

"How could something that never started ever end?" Luffy asked, not understanding the romantic relationship Sanji was trying to describe.

For his part, Law, according to the noises he was making, had had a hard time not bursting out laughing when he heard Sanji's misfortune. Too bad, that would have been the first time Luffy could have heard him laugh.

"Anyway, knowing Weak-hoshi, I doubt she's interested in you." Luffy asserted.

"And why?" Sanji roared, shaking him again. "You think you're better than me, maybe?"

"S...Stop." Luffy shouted, getting shaken. "I just wanted to say that she was too old for you.

"Stop saying she's old." Sanji ordered.

Then, letting go of Luffy, he heaved a tired sigh, before affirming.

"In truth, as we stay here, our characters will change! It is unlikely that we can maintain the appearance that we constantly show in high school."

" What do you mean ? "

Simply nodding Law, Sanji said.

"For everyone, this guy is nothing but an arrogant antisocial, with a bad temper, who often remained isolated."

"If I may say so, the arrogant, bad-tempered antisocial got more love letters this year than you'll ever get." Law retorted.

Immediately, Sanji spat blood, while feeling like Law's words had pierced his heart.

" I think Law is the same. " Luffy asserted, slapping the boy's back. "He's still a nice guy I can trust."

"Idiot..." Law growled, looking away from him.

" Luffy, I'm going to tell you something. " Sanji affirmed, pulling out a cigarette.

Lighting it with a lighter, he then exhaled smoke, while declaring.

"Question of survival, we can compare ourselves to animals that are forced to undergo the law of evolution! Either we decide to remain as we are and we are forced to disappear! Or we change our lifestyles in order to have a chance to survive! This is how it's going to be! No, actually, we're already changing."

Then pointing his finger at Luffy's forehead, he assured.

"The only difference with many other survivors is that we have, as a bonus, a tight-knit group that brings together all the people we need in order to live."

"It is true that each of us now has a specific role in the team," Assura Law. "Nevertheless, cohesive group or not, it is obvious that we are still too weak to fight against the monsters of this island."

At that moment, Shirahoshi came out of the cave, with a pile of laundry in his hands.

"Are you going to wash this clothes?" Asked Sanji.

"Yes!" she agreed. "I'm going to do it at the lake."

" Let me come with you. " Sanji offered her. "I'll make sure nothing attacks you."

" I'm coming too.. " Luffy affirmed, while pulling Law. "Tra-o, come too! It's boring to stay here."

" I'm a scientist and not a bodyguard. " Law retorted, not very cheerful at the idea of accompanying them.

However, Luffy ignored his remark and pulled him behind him, while he followed Sanji and Shirahoshi.
