Authoress Note: Welcome to Chapter 9 of Someone Like You. Thank you to those who have left reviews for this story. It does mean a lot to me. I hope that you guys will love this next chapter. I tried my best with adding new scenes to this part of the story. I'm going to make sure that I add new things so it doesn't follow the movie. Even if it does it has extra scenes. I'm going to try and make sure that it turns out as well as I can. Even though it's been a bit hard as of late trying to make sure that the story turns out well with new added scenes. I'm trying my best to write this story… well rewrite it of course. And what they say is true. Writing can be tricky. Hopefully, I won't fail with this next part. Without further ado Chapter 9. Enjoy!
Chapter 9
Jack came over to Will and Rose. "Keep a sharp eye!" He ordered the two of them before turning on his heels to leave the two of them alone and walking with a purpose back towards Gibbs with some tankards in his hands one for him and one for Gibbs.
Rose took a soft breath as she watched Jack moving over to where Gibbs sat at a table in the shadows. Rose looked at Will. "I have an odd feeling about this whole thing…" She said, pursing her lips together thinly as she looked over nervously to where Jack and Gibbs sat. She had a sinking feeling in her chest that Jack was up to no good. She chewed the inside of her cheek nervously. She didn't know if she should tell Will how she felt about the whole thing. The question would be if he believed her or not of having such a sinking feeling inside of her chest.
Will looked over at Rose seeing her distress. "We'll get Elizabeth back." He said softly to her, grasping her hand and giving it a soft squeeze. He knew that she was worried about Elizabeth not even thinking that Rose was thinking that Jack was even up to no good. He had to believe that Jack was helping for a good reason, he couldn't allow the feeling that he felt inside of his chest to cloud the idea that they would save Elizabeth and make it back home safely.
Rose looked over to Will with a worried gaze. "You sound so sure of that… those pirates that came and she willingly went with them." She said softly tears coming to her eyes and keeping herself calm in trying not to cry. Her hand gripped his hand tightly since it hadn't moved from hers. Her knuckles turned white. She wished that Elizabeth didn't willingly go with the pirates that invaded their home. But perhaps she was wrong in what happened with Elizabeth.
Will looked at her with wide eyes. "How…"
"It's just a feeling that I had…" She looked over to see Jack jerk his head in Will's direction. Her brows furrowed together in worry wondering what Jack was doing. She couldn't help but feel the sinking feeling even more of what Jack was doing.
"You think she willingly went with them…" Will said softly, trailing off a little bit. He looked down rather concerned. That was something that he didn't want to hear.
"They had to be searching for something…" She shook her head lightly. "I may be overthinking it though…" She admitted softly rubbing her tunic-clad arms shyly. "Perhaps they took her and she didn't go willingly."
Will suddenly whirled around at the sound of tankards hitting the table hard. He jerked his sword out, kicking over a table searching for an opponent.
"Will what in the world…" She put her hand on his shoulder. "Calm down." She said, rubbing his arm softly. "You're alright… no one is going to hurt me or you. We're safe…." She let out a breath as she continued to rub his arm softly. She knew that Elizabeth wouldn't be pleased if something happened to Will since she knew of her sister's feeling for Will, which she found rather endearing.
Will looked at her with wide eyes panting hard, lowering his weapon slowly. His brows furrowed as he locked his brown eyes with her blue eyes.
"You're fine, we're fine, Will…" She said soothingly. "We'll find Elizabeth and go back home." Rose took a soft breath knowing that Will was worried about what would happen to Elizabeth and she didn't blame him in the least bit. She could only hope that she wasn't too late. She hoped that she would be able to get the two of them together and perhaps admit their feelings to one another.
"You're right." He said softly, taking a soft breath. "We'll find her."
She smiled a soft smile. "I am sure that we will." She then frowned a little.
"You're thinking of what was said, aren't you? By Commodore Norrington proposing to her?" He questioned softly knowing that this probably was the one thing that was bothering Rose. He had a feeling that the elder Swann sister cared deeply about Commodore Norrington more than she had let on.
Rose let out a soft scoff. "It seems everyone knows that happened." She shook her head lightly knowing that it was not a good thing that everyone seemed to know that Commodore Norrington had proposed to her younger sister when she knew that Elizabeth didn't see him in that light. She could only hope that Elizabeth would tell him that they saw one another again.
"But she never gave her answer to him. There is a chance."
"That what? He would still care about me?" Rose snapped as she looked at him, her cheeks flushing in anger. "He cares about Elizabeth and has long forgotten me. Whatever he admitted the night of the attack, was just the heat of the moment, Will." She shook her head lightly looking down at the ground and glowering at it.
Will looked down rather ashamed. "You know your sister doesn't love him."
Rose looked down as a few tears slid down her cheeks. "She may not love him, but he fancies her. Not me."
"You could always change his mind," Will said softly knowing that this was hard for her, but he honestly was willing to help her get through to James.
Rose shook her head and held her hand out. "I want the key to our room." She said softly keeping her eyes on the ground. She didn't want to go into any more detail about anything that dealt with James. She couldn't be thinking of him at that moment.
Will slowly handed her the key. He knew that he had said something wrong to upset Rose, which he didn't mean in doing so.
"Thanks." She said softly before moving away from him. She let out a soft breath keeping her hand on her sword as she walked holding anyone who leered at her at bay. She took a soft breath as she walked. She shouldn't have blown up on Will about Elizabeth and James. Perhaps she was a bit thick regarding things between the two of them. Was she that transparent when it came to James?

This is the end of Chapter 9. I hope you enjoyed it. I know I added quite a bit more in the scene and have Will and Rose talk some. Please leave a review and let me know what you think. Reviews keep me going. Hopefully, this chapter turned out better than what I had planned it on being even with adding the extra stuff into the chapter. Hopefully that you guys enjoyed it and hopefully I will be able to update soon as I can. Until next time.
