Tashigi opens his mouth several times, but cannot answer. Smoker looks at me coldly.
"I have a feeling that these are not random examples." I walk past Smoker and push the door open, bowing my head.
"You still don't know the ugly secrets the Navy keeps to maintain this system. " The door closes in a deafening silence.
I take a deep breath. Why on earth did I say that? I have to leave quickly. Without waiting I rush through the alleys, dodging the patrolling navies. I make a diversion to the inn to drop off the photos in my room, then head off in search of a good restaurant. I let my footsteps carry me to an upscale restaurant resembling a two-story Indian palace with ochre colours and tall columns. A smooth stone path surrounded by manicured vegetation leads to the front door. Through the vegetation, one can hear the voices of customers enjoying the outdoors, protected by the vegetation arches made of vines and wisteria. A waiter is waiting for me at the entrance.
"Hello sir. Welcome to Jardin des Sens, have you reserved a table?" His tone is polite and professional, his gaze scrutinizes me, probably to check if I have the standards to enter their establishment.
"Hello. No, I don't have a reservation. I hope that won't be a problem?" I give him a small smile, to which he responds without realising.
"There's no problem, are you alone?" He says as he pushes open the door to let me through.
"Yes, I'm alone." Inside, the decor is rich, marble and rough wood are very present. The tables adorn a white tablecloth with plenty of silverware. On either side of the large room, picture windows open onto the two enclosed gardens. In front of the entrance, a large dark wooden staircase leads to the upper floors.
"Really? A man like you? I wouldn't have believed it." I chuckle at the hidden compliment.
"What do you expect, I'm too exceptional for the average person." I reply, turning my attention back to him. His smile turns amused before turning professional again.
"Where do you want to eat? Outside or inside? "
"Inside preferably and upstairs, if possible." I wouldn't want the navy to find me here.
"Sure, follow me please." He grabs a large leather notebook that must be the menu and leads me to the second floor near a bay window, offering a great view of the city and the garden below. "Does this place suit you?" I nod as he seats me at a table for two.
"This place looks perfect, it suits me perfectly." He nods and hands me the menu.
"Here's the menu, I'll let you choose what you want. Once you've chosen, ring this bell and a waiter will arrive to take your order." He points to a small golden bell with a black wooden handle on the table. Then he walks away, leaving me alone. Around me there are not many people, mostly couples. I pay no attention to them and open the menu. There are a lot of exotic dishes with fruits, vegetables and meats that are hard to get, which explains the high prices. The cheapest dish is 3,500 B, then it goes up very quickly to 12,700 B. Nami would have had a heart attack when she saw the prices, even more so if Luffy came to eat here. I end up choosing an Alubarna salad, followed by duck with honey and dates and for dessert a bowl of desert fruit. I also ask for extra lettuce without sauce for Aoi and Maru.
The meal passes quietly, my eyes focused on my plate, when I hear the chair in front of me slide across the floor to let someone sit down. I shove a piece of duck into my mouth before looking up. I raise an eyebrow at the sight of Miss Allsunday in the chair. She smiles at me from under her white hat, waiting for me to finish.
"What can I do for you, Miss?" I ask once my mouth is empty.
"I saw you all alone at that table. Shouldn't such a handsome man be accompanied by a pretty girl?" She says in a mischievous tone. An amused smile appears on my face.
"And you? Shouldn't such a beautiful young woman have a man in her life?" It's her turn to smile.
"Because of my job, I don't really have time to devote to a relationship with a man."
"Oh... You prefer women then?" She blinks, obviously surprised before smiling again.
"I see you like to play on words?" I pick at a piece of meat.
"I warn you that I am a teasing person. So don't try to pull any punches on me if you don't have enough to respond." I shove the meat into my mouth. Her smile grows and she leans back in her chair.
"So... you're just playing with this young pirate and his crew?" I nearly choke on the piece of meat and cough loudly to clear my throat. A hand slaps me hard on the back, saving me from choking to death. My hand grabs my glass of water and I swallow it in one gulp, definitely pushing the irritation down my throat. I take a quick, deep breath before turning my gaze to the woman who hasn't moved but has her arms crossed. Her amused smile hasn't left her. "What's the matter? Is something wrong?" My eyes crinkle and I straighten up.
"How?"
"First, I'd like to know who you really are. My boss has refused to divulge that to me."
"Really? Yet I wrote my name on a contract." She nods and looks out with a sigh.
"Indeed, but he totally destroyed it once your sword was paid for. So I don't know your name yet, but I know all your new appearances. " A slightly annoyed smile appears on my face.
"And why would I say my name?" Her eyes turn to me.
"Because then I can tell my boss that you're with the pirates protecting the princess." My eyes narrow. That Crocodile knows about this isn't really a problem, but it will tell the Shichibukai that the Straw Hats have arrived here and thus impact their plan.
"Are you sure you want to go this way? You won't be able to escape me, and you can't threaten me." I say with a threatening tone. We look at each other for a long time, judging each other. Finally, she lets out a sigh.
"The reason I came here is not to cause you trouble. I understood that you are not just anyone from the moment I saw you. I don't remember your name, but your face tells me something..."
"And you would have seen me where? And when?" She looks at me, her eyes expressing many different feelings and for the first time she seems to hesitate, looking around.
"Well..." Her hands are restless, playing with her fingers to calm herself. Her eyes meet mine. "Do... you... know Ohara?" She whispers. My eyes go wide and my fork in my hand falls back onto the plate, my jaw drops open wide.
"Wh... What?" I look more closely at the dark-haired woman, adding Ohara's parameter. Until I remember her. "You are that little girl... The last inhabitant of Ohara... Olivia's daughter..." Her face closes and her gaze hardens.
"So what? What are you going to do?" I don't say anything, don't move, lest she shut down and run away.
"I... uh..." I drop my head into my hands and let out a deep sigh to calm myself. I raise my head and meet her eyes, which are on guard, probably wondering if it was a good idea to have asked that. "Look... You're probably going to have a lot of questions to ask me, but... I can only tell you a small part of them at the moment. Is that okay with you, Robine?" Hearing her name, Robine tensed even more, confirming to her that the person in front of her knew her and could therefore potentially be an enemy.
"Who are you, that's all I want to know!" Her tone is biting and cold, she just wants answers to her questions, even if it may raise others.
"All right..." I sit up and take a deep breath, expecting a violent reaction from Robine. "My name is Stella Star and you may know me as the keeper of knowledge." Robine's eyes widen in surprise before her face twists in anger and she stands up, hitting the table in rage.
"Don't fuck with me! There's no way it was you! And if it really was you, I'd have to kill you to avenge them! If you really are that person, then you must answer for your inaction that day!" Her voice draws the attention of the entire restaurant, which looks at us with surprise, but I don't really pay attention to it, preferring to focus on the last inhabitant of Ohara.
"Robine... I…"
"I don't want your excuses! Where were you on that day?! Answer me!" Her face expresses so much anger and rage but also unprecedented sadness and despair.
I stand up without saying anything and walk around the table until I am in front of her. She continues to stare at me angrily, squinting her eyes. I look at her before taking her in my arms. She tenses up even more, trying to pull away from me angrily.
"What are you doing? Let go of me!"
"I... I'm sorry Robine, I couldn't save them..." Robine freezes, not daring to move. I hug her tighter, blocking out the bad memories that invade my mind. "I didn't manage to arrive in time to prevent this catastrophe... When I arrived, it was already too late... The island was totally destroyed, only smoke and ashes remained..." Robine starts to shake but still doesn't move. "I searched the island for survivors... but I found no one... There were only burnt corpses and a frozen giant..." At the mention of Haguar D. Sauro, Robine clutches desperately at the back of my jacket and her head rests on my shoulder. "I thought I had lost you all... I confronted the marines who did this and... I eventually learned that there was one survivor, a little girl named Nico Robine. I went looking for her to take care of her and protect her but... I could never find her... Until now." I pull away from Robine and take her head in my hands, her face is desperate but she stops herself from crying. "You don't have to run away anymore Robine, if you come with me you will be free, let me protect you and keep my oath to Ohara." Robine's hands drop my jacket and rest on my shoulders to push me away.
"No, I don't need your help, I'm doing fine without you. I'm not a child anymore." Her face is closed, blocking out any expression even as her feelings dance in her eyes.
" We always need to have someone to rely on. " She lets out a sneer of disdain.
"You say that, but the day we really need help, there's no one, like the day my house burned down. You promised to protect us, but when we needed you most, you weren't there!" I clench my jaw.
"That day, I lost the two most important things in my life... But I finally got them back, when I had given up hope. Why shouldn't it be the same for you? You're looking for a family and a home, you'll find them one day, so why not today?" She pulls away from me, turning her head away.
"I've done just fine on my own so far, I don't see why I should change." She starts to walk towards the exit.
"I see... I sincerely hope that one day you will find friends to rely on and protect you... No one is born to be alone..." Robine stops at my words "Not even me..." I finish with a soft whisper. Robine clenches her fists to the point of trembling.
"You don't know what I've been through, the choices I've had to make to survive." She turns to me. "You don't know what it's like to be on the run all the time when you're free to do whatever you want! "
Robine spits out the last words before turning and walking down the stairs towards the exit. I let out a deep sigh, obviously the first interaction with the last inhabitant of Ohara didn't go smoothly, but it could have been worse, after everything that happened...
Around me, the other customers look at me with wide eyes, to them it must have looked like a lover's quarrel. I rub my hair in frustration and return to my seat. On the table, Aoi and Maru look at me with sad eyes.
"It doesn't matter... It was just a little quarrel." They continue to look at me with sadness. They were there when I learned that Ohara was going to be attacked, the stress and anxiety of not being able to arrive in time and the horror of seeing the island destroyed. It was also a traumatic moment for them because I had only had them for a few months and it was the first time they had seen something so horrible. Since then they have been better, but I had to reassure them for weeks before they were back to their old self. It was also during those days that I asked to upgrade my ship so that it could move much faster.
The waiter approaches my table with my dessert.
"Is everything all right, sir? It seems to be a rather violent argument. Is this your girlfriend?" I give him a small smile, even though my heart isn't really in it.
"I'm fine, it's just a little fight. We're not together or anything, but I'd like to fix my mistakes, even if they're not entirely my fault." The waiter puts the fruit salad down in front of me and starts thinking.
"You could get her something she really wants, maybe a piece of jewellery, a cake or a treatment at the SPA. "I blow my nose at his attempt and take a piece of fruit.
"I don't think it's something she'll like." The fruit is sweet and very fresh, which puts me in a little better mood.
"Well... Maybe you know what she likes best. You should think about it." Then he leaves to attend to another customer who calls him across the room. I think about it while chewing the fruit. She is from Ohara, the cradle of knowledge and history... She is able to read poneglyphs, she must have become an archaeologist. So a rare history book should probably make her happy. Except that the rarest books are on my ship... I let my thoughts drift until I finished my dessert. My ship must still be in Logue Town... Shanks said it would take 2 months to get it back, and so far it's only been a month... How do I do it... I snap my fingers, with an idea in mind.
"I could ask Luc to send the book to me by Martin facteur." But my smile fades, with the war and Luffy's crew, there's little chance I'll get the book for several days. Besides, no one can get past security to get into the hold.
I continue to brood in my corner until the waiter returns with the note.
"So? Did you find a gift for her?" I let out a sigh.
"More or less, do you know where I can find an antique shop or an old library? " The waiter picks up the money I hand him.
"There are a few shops that sell old things... If not for books, there is the big library of the city, but it was built only a few years ago, so you have to look for old books in the capital. "He hands me the change, which I put away along with Aoi and Maru.
"I see. Thank you for your advice and tell the cooks that their meal is excellent." The waiter smiles at me.
"Of course, sir. Have a nice day!" I give him a little wave and head down the stairs to leave the restaurant. Once outside, I realize how hot it is, I almost regret leaving the restaurant.
"Let's go shopping while we wait. I'll eventually hear from Luffy and the others." All afternoon I've been browsing the shops looking for something that might please Robine, but it's not easy when you don't know much about the person you want to give a gift to.
The sun is slowly declining on the horizon and I still haven't found anything interesting. With a sigh, I walk through my bedroom door and collapse into bed. Aoi and Maru slowly move to be on either side of my head which is buried in the pillow.
"Why the hell don't I have my ship with me! Why did I leave it in Logue Town? I could have just gone with Luffy and sailed alongside them!" I ruminate on my frustration as I stir in bed. Even though deep down I know why I didn't take my ship... It's simply because he's too well known to the higher ups in the navy, they would have spotted him quickly and started watching him from afar. This would have put Luffy and the others in danger...
"Fucking navy shit." I think back to Robine and all she had to endure, her feelings towards the navy, and especially being always on guard because of CP9 and CP0 trying to capture her... Clearly, her life is not easy, especially since it seems she has no one to rely on, a sign of many betrayals...
I let out a deep sigh as I stare at the ceiling, my mind drifting to the people I have lost in my life, the list is endless. That's the problem with knowing a lot of people, their losses are more numerous. The memories pass one after another, many are joyful and others so sad as to die. Each time I could only watch my friends go and disappear, just like my brother... Tears begin to well up in the corners of my eyes, which I wipe with rage.
"Shit! Don't cry, it won't bring them back! Concentrate on finding a solution to your problem, you'll find it in the end! Don't be depressed! I don't want to become a vegetable filled with depression!" I sit up straight, slapping my cheeks to get my head straight. On the bed, Aoi and Maru look at me with raised eyebrows, unused to seeing me like this. I undress and take off the wig and contacts, which I carefully put away on the table. Then I slip between the covers and go to bed early. I don't feel like going to the casino for fun anyway, especially as I might run into Robine or Crocodile. Which I'd like to avoid, one because she's probably still mad at me and the other because of his plans he's going to make tomorrow. I hope that Luffy's side of things is going well and that they haven't gotten lost in the desert or worse. It's slightly worried that I'm slowly falling asleep.
In the back streets of the city, a man watches the light in the room go out. He has been recruited by a nobleman named Dangus to find a young girl wearing an orange hat, a red and black dress and three swords at her belt, including a grey katana with a snake on it. The surveillance of the casino was a deadly nuisance, as the nobleman had no idea of the girl's face and his colleagues had not seen her leave the casino all night, nor when it was daylight. He left his post in frustration and walked around the city. By hazard, he saw a man with red hair and black tips wearing a long coat of the same colour.
Out of curiosity, he observed the man throughout the city, keeping a safe distance. The man entered many antique shops without buying anything. Similarly, when he entered the library, he was obviously looking for something specific but did not find it.
Despite his blood-red eyes, he gave off a calm and warm aura. Many women approached him, presumably to have a good time, but each time he kindly declined after chatting with her.
After two hours of observation, he decided to approach this man to talk a little because he seemed to be someone who had experience in combat. It was then that he saw the three swords at his belt, one of which was grey with a black snake on the sheath. He remembers the nobleman saying that the snake could move and go on the skin like a tattoo. He admits that he thought the nobleman had gone mad, but now that he sees the snake, he cannot deny that it moves from time to time on the scabbard and even disappeared at one point. He had found the katana, but the man carrying it looked dangerous despite his soothing aura. So he decided to follow him home, now he found himself at the foot of an inn, looking at the light that had just gone out.
"Well, what do I do?" He has two choices, either he goes back to the nobleman to report but the others will know his position and the bounty will be divided between them, or he steals the katana and keeps the bounty for himself. A vicious smile creeps over his lips, he's been a mercenary for a long time but also an outstanding thief. No one is as discreet and silent as he is, he even followed this man all day without being spotted. He decides to wait another two hours before acting, to make sure the man is asleep. He easily climbs to the second floor and looks inside the room. The room is in darkness, with only the rays of the moon providing a little light. In the bed there is a sleeping form under the covers and against the table there is the famous grey katana.
He easily opens the window and enters silently, controlling his breathing to match that of the sleeping man. His steps are steady and precise, slowly approaching his booty. When he gets within a metre, he reaches for the sword, but he didn't think the snake on the scabbard would try to defend itself. With surprise he saw the snake appear before him, its mouth wide open. By reflex, he jumped backwards and landed on a creaking slat. Silence fell in the room, his gaze focused on the sleeping man and he breathed a sigh of relief that he was not moving. He looks at the katana again to see the snake rippling on the scabbard, if it were a real snake it would probably hiss in anger. It's obvious he's not going to be able to pick up the sword with his bare hands, his eyes scan the room for a rope or a piece of cloth. He searches without moving from his position until he sees something red on the table, on closer inspection he recognises the man's red hair.
"What the..." He barely whispered as he was thrown onto his back by the proprietor of the katana, well... The proprietress. He looks with round eyes at the girl above him. Her white hair and light blue eyes reflecting the moonlight. He can't look away or say anything.
"Who are you?" Asks the girl who tackles him to the floor, obviously irritated by the presence of a thief in her room. His mouth opens and closes several times, but no sound comes out. "I know you're surprised to see me like this after following me around all afternoon, but I advise you to answer me. I don't like being woken up in the middle of the night. What's up? Who are you? And why did you follow me here?" The girl's tone is dark and gloomy, promising a thousand sufferings if she doesn't get what she wants. But he's not impressed, this girl doesn't seem to be very muscular, so he should be able to break free easily. Without warning, he pushes the girl who falls heavily to the ground, grabs the bordeaux shirt to wrap the katana and jumps out the window. Without waiting a second, he runs through the alleys towards the nobleman's house. He must quickly hand over the sword, pocket the money and disappear from the city. Because even if he could push it easily, she will probably want it back.
I look down at the man and tackle him to the ground. The thief looks at me with wide eyes, obviously surprised by my appearance. I had spotted him after a while when I started to take the less busy streets and he followed me here. He must not have expected the red-haired man to be a white-haired woman.
"I know you're surprised to see me like this after following me around all afternoon, but I advise you to answer me. I don't like being woken up in the middle of the night. What's up? Who are you? And why did you follow me here?" The man did not answer, preferring to push me violently to the ground. I could have easily countered him but I prefer to let him do it to see his next move. He picks up my shirt to rob Hebi and jumps out the window. Hebi hisses in displeasure and orders the thief to let go. I quickly get dressed, grab Seima and jump after the thief.
Obviously he was there to pick up Hebi and he must have known about his peculiarity, otherwise he wouldn't have taken my shirt and wrapped it around him. I run across the rooftops following the man with my haki. Around us, the houses gradually change into mansions surrounded by gardens. The thief enters one of the gardens, in the shadows I see him knocking sharply on the door which opens on another man who lets him in and quickly closes the door.
The house seems active despite the late hour, obviously something is going on. Silently, I easily approach one of the windows which opens onto a living room with people inside. From their clothes, they are mercenaries or guards. The thief's entrance has put them on alert and they have all left the room. I look up and see a commotion at one of the windows. I jump towards it and see inside a desk with my thief talking excitedly to a man with electric blue hair. I recognise him as the man who paid for my katana after his poker defeat. The windows are not very thick, allowing me to hear the conversation.
"I told you to stay in groups! That girl is dangerous! I hope she didn't follow you!"
"I reassure you Mr. Dangus, I was not followed. Besides, I don't understand why you are so worried, I pushed her away easily. And I brought you the katana you wanted."
"What?! Did you do it? Were... Were you really able to steal that blade from her without her killing you? Or follow you?" The thief nodded until he paled when he saw me through the window. I stand in the air in the middle of the bay window, seeing the man's pale complexion, a toothy grin forms on my lips.
" Watch out!" The thief barely has time to finish before the window explodes, throwing thousands of pieces of glass, which stick into the two men.
"ARG! What the hell is that?!" Dangus yells before turning to me. He turns pale as he sees the piercing blue eyes that have haunted him since the casino. "It's... It's you!" He says, pointing at me. I walk into the office, stepping on the shards of glass that crackle under my soles.
"Yes, it's me. How we meet again Mr. Bad Loser." My posture is nonchalant, my arm resting on Seima's guard. My eyes focus on the thief. "If you could just tell your man to give me my stuff back, I could put this whole thing behind me and we could all go to sleep peacefully." I say sarcastically. Dangus' face turns red with anger.
"That katana is mine! I paid for it! I'm only taking back what is rightfully mine!" He turns to the thief and snatches the package from his arms. "If you want it back, you'll have to come and get it! TO ME! KEEP!" The door opens violently, letting a dozen men into the room.
"Mr. Dangus, what's going on?" Their gaze quickly turns to me, some surprised, some judging me, and some with a lustful look on their faces. As I haven't had time to dress properly, they look at my nightgown which gives a glimpse of my body. I barely had time to put on my trousers and shoes.
"Get rid of this girl! Do what you want but make sure she stays away from me!" Says Dangus as he puts the men between him and me. A mischievous smile appears on my lips but disappears when I hear the comment from one of the men.
"Can we really do what we want?" Says a burly guy with a huge gash on his face, looking at me hungrily.
"Do whatever you want, I don't care!" Like a signal, the man pounces on me before anyone else. I give him a hard look and kick him in the head, sending him crashing into the others. Strike! My foot hits the ground, turning the glass to dust.
"Try to touch me or stop me!" They all throw themselves at me. I use my feet and fists to send them flying. My smile turns to carnivorous and excitement runs through my veins. A good little fight always gives me a boost. But things quickly turn sour when one of the men manages to take Seima from me.
"Ah ha! Why do you have that sword if you don't want to use it?" He looks at me with a victorious smile and puts his hand on the hilt to take it out of its scabbard.
"Stop it! You idiot!" Dangus shouts, watching in horror as the blade is pulled out completely. I look at Seima in the man's hand and smile.
"Feel like having some fun, Seima?" Seima answers me happily. The man's smile fades and he looks around, horrified.
"What?! Who are you?! Haaaa! Stay away from me!" Caught up in a sudden madness, the man uses Seima to attack everyone around him except me.
"What's wrong with you?! Stop it!" The other men try to reason with him and restrain him, but they can't. It is as if the possessed man's strength has increased tenfold. A bullet finally goes through the poor man's head and he collapses to the ground, leaving Seima to slide to the feet of one of the guards. The gun smokes in Dangus' hand.
"Don't touch that sword! It is cursed, just take care of that girl! I'll double the bounty for whoever kills her!" After the shock, they jumped on me again. But after seeing the man being shot, I'm no longer in the mood to fight. A wave of haki knocks everyone to the ground, except Dangus. The nobleman looks in horror at all the men on the ground. The silence is broken by the sound of my footsteps heading towards Seima.
"What the... Hey! Get up! What are you doing?!" I lift Seima up and look at the bloody blade.
"Sorry, looks like playtime is over." Seima replies with a pout, not happy that it's over so soon. I wipe the blade on the shirt of one of the men on the ground. The click of a loaded gun echoes behind me.
"That's it, no more games! I'm going to kill you now and sell these two cursed blades. You've pissed me off enough!" The bullet leaves the barrel and passes by my head. As if Dangus hadn't said or done anything, I look at Seima, making sure she's not bleeding anymore. A second bullet passes by me. "Fuck! Why can't I hit you!" Another bullet ricochets off the wall. I finally turn to Dangus and slowly approach with a neutral face. Dangus continues to fire without ever hitting me. Even when the gun is empty, Dangus continues to pull the trigger. He looks at me in horror as he bangs on the door behind him. "Stay away! Stay away from me!" He shouts as he holds Hebi against him. Without a word, I reach out to him.
"Give me back Hebi." My tone is neutral, emotionless. Dangus looks at my hand, then my face, and swallows. His eyes search for a way out but find none. Slowly, he reaches for Hebi until it is in my hand. I pull back the shirt that wraps him and he hisses with contentment now that he's back with me. "See, it's not so hard to listen to what people say." The nobleman's fists clench but he doesn't have the courage to add anything. My gaze lands on Hebi, who moves between my fingers. "Sorry you had to go through that Hebi, but I wanted to know who was after me." Hebi hisses, letting me know that it doesn't matter, as long as I get it back. With a small smile, I turn around and walk towards the broken window.
"W... Wait! You're just going to walk away?! We're not done!" Shouts the nobleman in a fit of anger. But he squeals as I turn slightly and look at him angrily.
"Yes we are, from the moment you tried to rob and kill me." I pull Hebi out of his scabbard. "You say Hebi is yours because you bought it, well, take it back." I throw Hebi in the direction of the nobleman, who moves out of the way, and goes to plant himself in the ground missing Dangus' foot by two inches. The nobleman stares at the blade planted right in front of him but doesn't move. "Well? What's the matter? If you take it, it's yours. I won't try to take it away from you if you manage to get it out of the ground. "I cross my arms and watch with amusement as Dangus does what he is going to do. He looks at the sword, then at me.
"Are you kidding me?! I can't take it in this state! He's going to kill me as soon as I get my hands on him!" He walks away from Hebi, being careful not to touch him. Seeing that he has no intention of doing anything, I go to get my sword.
"That concludes the debate, Hebi is mine and no one else's, especially not yours." With a flick of my wrist, I easily pull Hebi off the ground. But Dangus doesn't seem to want to leave me alone as he points a new firearm at me, which he has retrieved from one of the passed out men. I let out another sigh as the shot rang out. But Dangus didn't get another shot off as a black blade lands on his neck and a black snake bites him, injecting a large amount of poison.
"Wha... What?" Foam begins to build up in his mouth and his eyes roll back, a moment later he falls to the ground, dead. I look at the body with a cold stare and walk away with my face closed. I don't like killing, life is important to me, but he has left me no choice. My feet land softly on the wet lawn. The drops of water glisten slightly in the moonlight, as does my white hair, giving the impression that the reaper is standing in the middle of the garden having already taken a life.*
