Ahhh do I miss writing this? Yeah it hasn't that many reviews but just the satisfaction makes me feel good. Anyways here is the next chapter for this arc.

A New Wolf Is Born – Embers

So yeah, I made a bit of an impression on the alpha. Next up was me spending time in the bar of the wolves and I learnt some interesting things about them

Lincoln woke up, expecting to be home in his bedroom, while listening to the sounds of his sisters causing a ruckus. When his vision focused, he realised that he was in a single bed that was fashioned like a Japanese bedroom with crimson walls and a single bed.

Lincoln sighed as he went to check his phone. His eyes widened in disbelief at the message.

Luna: Sorry bro, but now Leni and Lana is involved so we are barricading the house to the next level. Just stay where you are and don't come back until we say so."

"Of course it went up. And they still say I should stay out of it." Lincoln grumbled as he went to freshen up. He saw the pristine bathroom and was nearly blinded by the sight

Hey 11 years with a dirty bathroom meant a clean one is new to him.

After freshening up, he went downstairs and saw a few wolves sitting around, eating breakfast and discussing their plans.

"Well, look who came down to join us for breakfast." Kolasi said with a smirk, while Anubis simply sipped some tea.

"Morning. So, you've been down here a while?" Lincoln asked the giant Greek.

"Yep. Me and Aljahim have been chilling before we get to work." He said as he wrapped an arm around the Egyptian male.

"Hands off Kolasi." He spoke in a calm yet demanding tone.

"Alright, alright." Kolasi spoke as he went back to his meal.

Lincoln sat by the bar and asked for some pancakes, to which Jackie served quickly with a glass of orange juice. As he was eating, he watched with uneasy eyes as he saw the many people also eating and drinking. He didn't know why but for some reason, he felt as though heat was burning into his skull.

Quickly, he decided to turn on the TV, hoping for something to calm his nerves.

Instead he was greeted to the recent soccer game that Lynn had won. Lincoln sighed. Here comes the sounds of the bar cheering her name.

"Oh, will someone change that crap?! I don't want to be bombarded by the toadies of the Loud Sister Sellouts!"

Or not. That was new.

"Huh?" Lincoln said as he turned around to see who spoke and his eyes caught sight of a trio by a table and the one who spoke it.

It was from a 17-year-old Caucasian male with blonde hair and blue eyes, wearing a crimson and white letterman jacket, white muscle shirt and blue jeans plus black boots. He was wearing a pair of brass knuckles on his fingers and scowled at the TV.

"Seriously, someone change that channel! If I have to hear how that yappy jock won the game again, I'll throw that TV out the damn window!"

"Yeah, let me." Lincoln offered and he changed it to a comedy feature of Luan.

"Oh great, not that clown!" Another 15-year-old Caucasian male with combed black hair and brown eyes dressed in crimson waistcoat and black slacks plus shoes. He was looking through a briefcase as he looked at the screen annoyed "No class whatsoever..." he muttered.

"What do you mean?" Lincoln asked.

"She tells some funny jokes and the crowd goes wild. Sorry, but how is that entertainment? There is nothing to draw the crowd in. And her jokes are just so tasteless." He clarified.

Lincoln just looked confused and changed the channel to Lola's recent pageant victory.

"Aaaannnd we go to this brat. Just turn it off, kid." A female voice from a beautiful 16-year-old girl groaned. She had pale skin, ebony black hair and blue eyes with red lips, dressed in a black leather vest under a crimson t-shirt, black leather jeans and biker heels as she fiddled with a stiletto, looking at the TV like it was supposed to explode

And it wasn't just them.

A 19-year-old French woman with black hair done in a bun and brown eyes passed by, dressed in a crimson leotard which showed her athletic build and C-cup-sized breasts and grey ballet flats, came up with a tray. She passed the TV as it showed Luna's recent concert and the report from the anchor.

"Can I borrow a bit please?" She asked Lincoln politely.

"Sure?" He said as the woman took a bit of pancake off and flung it at the screen.

"Vente Moche..." (Lousy sellout), She said.

Lincoln then saw several more people get up and throw junk at the screen as it shifted to all of them, cursing them out

Aljahim soon wiped the screen but he also scowled at the TV.

"It would be wonderful if something happened to them that caused them to lose their popularity." He grunted.

"Yeah. Those SCHMELES could use a dose of reality to their faces." Kolasi spoke

"OK, what is going on?!" Lincoln spoke up and everyone turned to him.

"How come you guys aren't praising them? I mean, everyone in Royal Woods does it." He asked but soon everyone just let out groans of disgust.

"Praise them?! Those sellouts?! Please!" The Jock said.

"Trust me, kid. Not everyone has an admiration for those brats." The biker model spoke.

"Hey. Those are my sisters!' Lincoln defended.

"Dude, they cause more messes in this town than the crooks that hang around here." The magician countered

Lincoln deflated as they had a point "True. Even I am annoyed by the amount of praise they get, despite their insane antics getting us into trouble." Lincoln sighed.

"That's how we roll." A voice said as Lucifer came in.

"Hey Okami." Aljahim said to his King as he sat by the bar, turning the TV off.

He then turned to Lincoln.

"Your sisters are like savage beasts. Most of the time they cause trouble but put them in a competition or event and the town is busy kissing their asses. The one thing they don't show is humility." He spoke.

Lincoln thought about it and he did have a point. His sisters did boast a lot when they won, and they weren't shameful in bragging about it.

He decided to continue to eat in silence when Highrise came in.

"Hey, Jason. What's up?" Okami asked.

"We got some information about those goons that jumped...' he then saw Lincoln who was looking back at him 'Can we do this in private?"

"Of course. Hades, Anubis. Come on." He spoke as the quartet's masks formed.

"Well that happened." he spoke as he finished his plate. He then decided to explore the place.

He walked along the corridors, seeing the many rooms on the side. There was a med bay where a 22-year-old Caucasian woman with a blue eyes and a blonde bun, dressed in a crimson nurse's outfit and a red wolf head in a flame on her right forearm was busy organising her medical supplies to a computer room where X-Ray was busy typing on a laptop, his mark shown on the back of his neck.

There was a large garage with many motorbikes and vehicles where a biker gang was busy fixing them and running maintenance.

"Man, this place has it all." He said to himself. He then heard the sounds of grunts in the air from one of the rooms. Curious, he decided to see where it came from. When he got there, his eyes widened to who was inside.

He saw a Japanese girl, the same age as him, practicing sword stances in the air, her raven black hair in a ponytail while her brown eyes furrowed in determination. She was in a white shirt and blue shorts as she danced in the air. The way she moved, Lincoln saw a beautiful dancer fill his vision as his face went red.

"Woah..." He spoke stupidly but then he saw the girl stop as she peered over her shoulder with a glare.

"Is someone watching?!" She demanded as Lincoln hid himself.

"CRUD! She heard!" He whispered shouted to himself. The girl approached the door, practice sword pointing at the door as she approached.

"If you don't come out there, I will drag you by your own nuts!" She yelled.

"OK! OK! I'll show! Don't hurt me please!" He said as Lincoln revealed himself. The girl raised a brow at the boy looking.

"Who the hell are you?" She asked.

"Um...just a visitor. The king allowed me to stay due to home troubles?" he said, hoping she would believe him.

"Oh yeah. Nii-san said someone was bunking here for the night. Guess that must be you." she said as she lowered her sword.

"Yeah. I'm Lincoln. Lincoln Loud." He said, holding a hand.

The girl frowned at the last name but decided to be curt and reply back.

"Hisako Hinotori. But around here, my name is Firestorm." she replied, shaking his hand. After that she went to grab a water bottle, taking a long sip from it.

"So, you are related to the Loud sisters?" She asked.

"Yeah. I'm related to them." he said.

"So, how do you handle not throttling them every day?" She asked.

Lincoln looked a bit shocked. Another person not worshipping the ground his sisters walk on. This was not something he was used to.

"I have a lot of patience." He said.

Hisako looked impressed.

"Good for you. If it were me, I would've cut them down in irritation." He said. Lincoln decided to change the subject.

"So, your brother is the king?" He asked.

"Yep. I joined as he wanted to protect me. Better if I had the aura and he trains me to fight. Been homeschooled here as well." She said with a smile.

"Doesn't it get lonely, though? I mean, most of the members are teens and adults." Lincoln asked.

Hisako was silent. He had a point, though.

"I gotta get going." She said, hurrying out the room.

Lincoln wanted to say something but decided against it. It wasn't his business to pry.

Hisako meanwhile was walking, miffed at the question.

'He is cute though.' she thought to himself.

Lincoln then came back to the bar, and saw the trio from before, and Jason heading out, their masks showing.

"Uhh, what's going on?" He asked.

"A job. They are investigating where those guys that jumped me came from." Kolasi answered.

Okami, now Lucifer spoke to the trio he saw earlier.

"Rampage, get the car ready while we investigate the area. Knives, you and Copperfield distract anyone outside. Highrise, try and get some eyes in the sky from the buildings and see if there is a way in. The sooner we find them, the better." Lucifer relayed his orders as he took his sword.

Soon, they all went out.

"Should we...?" He asked but a lot of them said no.

Lincoln was about to sit when he saw Hisako sneaking out, a tanto strapped behind her as her mask formed.

Lincoln decided to follow. For some reason, he had a bad feeling about this.

Looks like Lincoln is about to get a glimpse of the Wolves in action. What will he see?
