Wedding day

June 17th 2023

1pm

"Are you sure you wanna walk yourself?" Fiona asked Taylor as they stood outside the church doors waiting to start the ceremony.

"I'll be fine." She told her, trying to also give herself the confidence. All she had to do was walk to Joe and that's it, it's over. Once she gets to him she's in good hands, it's like a 15 second walk.

"You'll be great." Eddie told her as she held Layla and the basket of flower petals.

"Focus on walking to the music." Jamie added, he was linked to Jen who gave her a nod of confidence. The music changed, and everyone got in their spots. Taylor's heart started to race a little and she had a wave of anxiety hit. She prayed it would go away quick so she could enjoy this moment and not throw up.

"See ya up there, you got this." Danny told her right before Chris and Fiona walked through the doors. As she watched them all follow, watching Eddie throw the petals with Layla made her laugh and relax a little. The music transitioned and she stood at the closed doors waiting for her que in music. She was squeezing her bouquet so hard.

Before she knew it the doors opened and she started walking, she looked at Joe the entire time, not anyone else and he was nothing but smiles. She could read it on his face how happy he was and how proud he was of her. She was dreading this walk for months and it was finally almost over.

When she got to the stage Joe reached his hand out to help her up the steps and she handed her flowers to Fiona. The archbishop started talking, but Joe and Taylor were lost in each other, barely listening.

"You look beautiful." He mouthed in a whisper, her anxiety had completely disappeared at this point, she was focused on him, he was her everything. Her comfort, her safety, her love.

After the big picture perfect kiss, they were announced for the first time as Mr. and Mrs. Joe Reagan. The guests clapped and cheered as they still held hands heading back up the aisle. When they got out the doors away from everyone for the first time Joe made sure he stopped her to give her another kiss.

"We just got married!" He said, as if she didn't know.

"Ha! I know!" She laughed.

"And you look amazing, I want to say let's forget the rest and go home now!" He said laughing.

"You're telling me!" She said and they exchanged another kiss.

While they took pictures at the church all the guests made their way over to the reception hall and got to enjoy appetizers and drinks.

They had their first dance upon arriving. Joe danced with his mom after, Taylor insisted on it. She let a few tears fall as she had to watch but she made it this far and wasn't going to let it ruin her day. Life isn't fair and this was just part of it. She also had to remind herself Joe didn't have a father here either, it wasn't just her missing out.

To lighten the mood afterwards they played the shoe game. Where they sit back to back and raise one of their shoes in the air to answer questions. Except they weren't dumb "everybody knows the answer" questions like "who's older", "who is more attractive". No, they were funny and border line embarrassing if anything. "Who takes longer in the bathroom", "who wakes up grumpier", "who hogs the bed", stuff like that. They had everybody laughing harder with every answer. And the blush on both their faces was priceless at times.

After that they dismissed tables to get their food. It was around 4:30 and they were both starving. They had a handful of people come up and congratulate them while they ate, and or compliment how great they both looked.

"Everyone seems to be having fun." Joe told her as they ate and looked around at all their friends and family eating and conversing with each other at their tables.

"I think so. I'm ready to party though." She said drinking her water.

"Yeah, I'm gonna go get another drink though, loosen me up a little. What do you want?" He asked getting up.

"Nothing I'm good with this." She told him.

"You're not gonna drink?" He asked her.

"Not right now."

"Oh okay, I'll be right back then." He said leaving.

"Food is excellent, best I've had in a while." Henry stopped to tell Taylor on his way back to his seat.

"Good! I'm not very picky though, Joe was the one who kinda picked everything haha." She tells him.

"Nothing wrong with easy going." He says with a pat on her shoulder and a smile before leaving.

"I don't remember seeing this on our menu, it's called a little Italy?" Joe says taking a seat and Taylor watches him sip it.

"Whew, that is some strong shit." He says making a face but then drinks more.

"Well don't feel like you have to drink it!" She says laughing, watching him power through it again.

"No it's good, it's just really fucking strong. Try it?" He puts it out to her.

"Uh no." She pushes it away. "My god just the smell of it might get me drunk." She added with a face of disgust.

"Well we don't need that." He said and set it down.

"I don't want you 3 sheets to the wind either." She said.

"I'm not. I'll drink this and then probably take a break, let loose and go from there."

"Good." Taylor says ending the conversation just in time for the dj to start talking. He talks a little and gives some direction and then starts the music. It's a slow song, to get all the couples out on the dance floor. When it's over it turns upbeat, some people go sit back down and some stay and dance.

The night was good, people were having fun, no one was out of control drunk or anything. Joe and Taylor were wanting to get out of here and go celebrate just them two. It was almost 10 o'clock, they talked to the dj and had him go ahead and play the last song earlier then planned. They slow danced one last time with the surrounding couples.

Joe wouldn't stop whispering dirty things he wanted to do to her when they got home. Even though no one could hear him, it still made her blush even harder seeing Jamie and Eddie dancing to their left, and Frank and Erin to their right.

They got into a limo that was a surprise from Frank, also escorted by his detail. They made out the entire way home. Both of them ready to rip their clothes off the second they get there.

"I think after you help me out of this dress, we should take a quick shower together." Taylor said as they walked down the hall to the apartment.

"Why's it have to be quick?" He flirted unlocking the door.

"I don't wanna do it in the shower." She said.

"Me neither, I just want to take our time." He locked the door behind him and headed off to their bathroom. It took them 10 minutes alone to get all the Bobby pins out of her hair before they could get in the shower.

When they were done they obviously didn't even get dressed they dried off and headed straight to the bed.

"Alright, let's make a baby…baby." Joe told her with a smile, going in for more kissing, standing at the bedside. She giggled a little before stopping him.

"We can't." She told him.

"What do you mean?"

"Because…we already did." She grew a smile.

"What?!" He was shocked.

"I'm pregnant." she said nodding, letting her tears take over.

"Babe! Are you kidding!?" He asked in shock.

"No, I found out late last night, that's why I didn't drink tonight." She explained wiping underneath her eyes.

"Taylor! This is amazing!" He picked her up and she wrapped her legs around his waist. They kissed as he spun around, landing her on the bed with himself hovering over.

"I think I'm only a couple weeks, I have to call tomorrow to get an appointment."

"I can't believe you knew and didn't tell me this whole day!" He was still just shocked.

"I wanted to so bad but I wanted it to be private."

"No I'm glad you waited, I just meant you must've been busting at the seams."

"I was! I'm glad you know now, I can relax."

"Well yeah, geez. Take a minute, soak it all in." He got off her and they laid on the bed for a minute staring up at the ceiling thinking.

"I am, I still wanna have really hot sex though." She says and got on top of him.

"Don't you worry." He smiled at her before kissing her.

"I love you." She said stopping, looking into his eyes, her hand gently tangling in his hair.

"I love you too babe." He got lost in her beauty, thinking back to the entire day and the biggest thing of all, that she was pregnant with his child. He couldn't be happier, life couldn't be better, he has it all.
