Big Trouble in Little Iwa
At around 6:30am, on a Wednesday afternoon, a muscled man, high-ranking ninja, rapped his tanned fist against the door of a motel's room, the weathered paint and faded blues communicating decay and disuse, cheap and obfuscated. A good choice, against anyone else.
Out came a tall blonde, hair shadowing his eyes and blanketed in loose clothes, edging the door open enough for the commander to notice the clothing in disarray, strewn about in random directions, clearly showing a lack of order and discipline. The commander was getting more disappointed by the second, but he was diligent, and so he signalled his men to take him in.
"Hey, get your fucking hands of off me, what is the charge? A satisfying stay huh? Look at me you piece of shit!"
Expected really. Nobody ever sent the best of the best to spy in other villages. It was a suicide mission, and this one hadn't even lasted 2 weeks. 10 days and they had him. Not the worse, they had caught about a dozen making their way into the village alone, but it still showed an inexperience. Weirdly enough they got caught due to being over eager, yet he didn't even get taken in with a fight like one would expect with a such reckless shinobi.
They moved through the crowded market, through the crowded crowds welcoming back returning shinobi, all the way to the grey imposing T&I building, the concrete slate contrasting with the maroon browns of the rocky land of Stone, jutting out the ground in almost crystalline shards, dusty pillars crumbling away with calm winds.
Somehow the west wing was on lockdown, and a number of the other rooms were being repaired, suspicious, but a prison break will have been better timed, and he didn't trust this one to be anything special, so they shoved him into the room at the edge of the station.
Hands chained behind a chair, several shinobi staring at him and a torture expert in front, then the man's demeaner changed.
"You caught me." He spoke in a jovial tone, with a smile stretching over his now revealed face, almost taunting the commander in front.
"Only problem is, you're right where I wanted you."
Teeth clenching, the leader spoke. "Cut the shit spy! We-"

"-ight then you were planning an assassination,-"

"- but what bugs me is how were you planning to-"
An explosion ripped through the man's body, debris smashing into the rest of the guards in short order, ripping them apart.
Kumori snapped apart the pre-emptively weakened handcuffs with a bit of strength, walking through the hole his newest weapon made, the canon with seals such that it could fire anywhere aimed at any time planned, and dug a hole in the soft dirt below, extracting a tiny storage seal containing most of his weaponry and his armour: Flexible, sleek, easy to hide with clothing, and protective. His previous armour saved his life. This one was so reinforced it could make it.
The plan had gone well, the shadow clones doing their sabotages just as the commander caught wind of him. Kumori sighed, because he had to move his plans up a bit.
He launched of the plateau T&I rested upon, running along side walls across cramped alleys until he made it to a manhole, slipping into it and vanishing from the recovery squads that would eventually come for him, after the chaos back at T&I subsided of course.
Now blended into the crowd, the former leader of Rain stalked over to an inconspicuous ramen stand, just in front of the biggest mountain in Stone's Village boundaries. He slipped under the blanket, and sat next to a woman, who was talking with the ramen stand's owner.
"We all have to do our part you know! If you have the best noodles on the map, people will care more about Stone than some shitty little ramen stand in Leaf." The woman sat down had a wild smile and squinted eyes, a blond tuft of hair on an otherwise bald scalp.
The younger ramen chef, pretty young for an owner, replied "If it is so shitty then why should I care about it? Look, I know you care, but I'd prefer to start expansion after the war has cooled down. Now let me serve our customer."
At this they turned and looked at Kumori. "Sure, I'll have a bowl of pork ramen please, no naruto."
"Hey buddy." The squinting blond said, grin framing sharp bones. "How about I pay for yours, I own the place, so it'll be 'on the house'"
Kumori nodded, and the chef left without a word.
"So, I don't want to expose you or anything, but really, trying to put ichirakus out of business from Stone?"
The Woman laughed, an uproarious chuckle bellowing from her lips "Usually people just try to kill me, I'm guessing you aren't here for that, even if you know what I, and you I'm assuming, are?"
"No, I think your work on the front is impressive. Using soldiers against each other? It works well against the Leaf cocksuckers too, and I'm guessing you are pretty attached to this place?"
She rests her elbow on the counter, clearly more at rest. "I think I know who you are. Kumori Dokusei right? The crazy motherfucker who killed Hanzo and took over Rain, shit all over the status-quo and rewrote the history books, and got betrayed by leaf for it. Hell, if the legends are true you took on the rain 3, Jiraiya, and the 3rd all at once and barely got killed. Yet here you are."
Kumori looked at her with determined eyes. "Then you understand that I want the Leaf dead just a much as you do?"
She nodded, with a warm smile, just as the ramen came, both bowls being set in front.
"Well, time to eat!" She said, giddiness uncontained as she slurped up noodle after noodle.
Kumori started eating his own noodles, when again she opened her mouth to speak
"It has been nice speaking to you. Oh, by the way, your ramen is poisoned. Have a nice death you lying scum."
At this point she would've had revenge for the multiple Stone shinobi Kumori had killed throughout his 10 day stay to get information on her, one of several scenarios she had planned out when counter spying on him.
"Yeah. Unfortunately, I'm immune to poison."
Then Kumori raised his gun and a shot exploded out of the barrel, blowing her head off and leaving a headless smoking stump in its wake.
He had to duck to avoid a slice from the ramen chef, as he leapt across the counter with an enraged snarl on his face. In response, Kumori kicked the man back into the counter, then roundhouse kicked him in the neck, snapping it and killing him instantly.
With the momentum of the kick, he turned around, and saw the entire crowd before him start charging at him.
Shit.
Now to explain what happened we need to slow down. A majority of these fighter aren't ninjas. They, despite never having fought in their lives, are charging at Kumori with the fervour of an experienced warrior, blood lust and all.
This is the effect of the Jutsu the kunoichi cast as she died, the last piece of her soul harbouring spite. She marked Kumori, so that every person above 18 in a 5-kilometre radius would try to kill him with every bit of their selves.
Back to the present:
Kumori smashed a fist into an auburn-haired civilian, crushing her skull but doing nothing to prevent the rest from closing in, making a circle around him of flailing bodies. Kumori jumped straight up, taking out his rebuilt assault rifle and firing a spray of high velocity bullets into the ninja that met him, cutting them in half. He then released a plank of wood from his boots and jumped of it, propelling himself over the ravenous crowd and to a nearby rooftop.
Dashing forward, he ducked under fans of projectiles and dodged around elemental jutsus, ducking into a nearby 3 floor-structure to avoid the onslaught. He pushed on to the lower entrance, placing a seal next to it, then hid in the higher levels of the abandoned factory, cloaking himself in the darkness by placing himself against a wall.
Said wall had an arm tear through it and wrap around his neck, aiming to snap it, when Kumori flipped the man over his shoulder with a judo flip, then took out his handgun and fired 2 rounds to his head. Looking out of the new opening, Kumori watched 5 Stone ANBU catapult themselves towards him, rage apparent. Kumori quickly back pedalled, firing a ball of fire, slamming into one, immolating them in flame, yet they continue to rush Kumori, even with their skin melting. At the same time the lower exit is bashed open, and a crowd of civilians are vapourised by the proximity explosive seal etched before it.
Distracted, Kumori nearly has his head taken off by a Kunoichi's jumping spin kick, barely managing to block it with his right hand and left shoulder, before using the momentum to give a jumping spin kick of his own, bashing the kunoichi's head in. Mid-air, he gets tackled by a burly shinobi, carrying him across the room whilst Kumori unleashes a devastating elbow to the back of his neck, crushing his spine, then for good measure kneeing him in the face, using his head to hold him up as he broke his face with a flurry of strikes with both legs taking turns. He then threw the body to the side.
The crowd had pushed up to the second floor, and the other ANBU were closing in, so Kumori sprinted toward the opening, flipping onto the top of the building, blasting one of the following ANBU with a burst from his rifle aimed behind, running to the opposite edge of the building just as the swarm reached the top, and leaping off. The world stopped, as a crowd of civilians leapt after him, towards their certain death, about to flatten part of the mob below, as Kumori scattered a fan of explosive seals into the crowd below, activating them in a holocaust of flame and scattered body parts.
He touched down at the edge of a crowd, using the one he collided with as a weapon, flinging them around into the surrounding enemies, then leaping up and smashing them into the floor, then turning around and unleashing a wind jutsu, ripping apart those chasing him, then continuing to flee from the remaining foes. He found a wall in front of a valley, and body flickered across, turning around, in anticipation of the manic civilian pursuit ending in a filled valley, as well as the final ANBU aiming to slice his head off with a katana. In response, Kumori took Hanzo's former scythe, and chain, and wrapped the chain around a thrust aimed to skewer him. The weapons clasped together, as Kumori dragged the sword towards himself, and swung it aiming to decapitate the ANBU. They rolled under the blow, but weren't quick enough to dodge the scythe head that lodged into their lower jaw.
Leaving his weapon in its new holster, Kumori rushed towards the next few shinobi, blood thirst clear in their eyes as they somersaulted to try and kill Kumori. The first was dispatched by a series of blows to the chest, the first few causing spit blood and the last few a ruined set of organs. The next two suffered punctures from an army of kunai aimed at them, bodies riddled with wounds. The next 10, Kumori immolated with a dual cast fire blast and wind gust, the next 20 were crushed with spine blows or sword slashes, and the next 9 were all burnt to a crisp by a slowly encroaching barrier trap.
Kumori had just killed a sizable number of the standing Stone shinobi, as well as a good deal of civilians.
Well, at least he got her.
A/N: Note: I have had all of the story planned out, including this and the next two-ish chapters, from the start. The chapter after that, I have some ideas, but feel free to suggest whatever you would like to see in the upcoming entries. This chapter is one of my favourites, a proper fucking rollercoaster. There is like 3 hook and switches in this chapter alone. I like stories to be unpredictable, but still be sensible, so let me know if this story doesn't make as much sense as I think it does. I like characters talking and sharing parts of themselves, so expect more of that soon (with similar endings). By the way, the girl doesn't have a name. The first suggestion will be canon, so go crazy in the reviews.
Thanks for reviewing, thanks for reading.
