That Once Hallowed Peak:

Thunder cracked with a horrible power, rolling across the blackened stone the mountain was made off. The massive thunder cloud above, blocking out the afternoon sky and leaving only an artificial night brightened by the last few hours of day, couldn't be natural, its clouds too perfect, its body too still.

At the very top of the peak, Kumori had come to find, was a dojo of sorts, traditional samurai architecture with white walls and gold-coloured accents, dark wood tiling giving a regal appearance to a hidden retreat. He had only heard of this place after hiding from the Stone in the aftermath of The Village Massacre. Overnight he had achieved infamy, but unattributed as far as he could tell. His time in the underground gave him some information on a man, older, one who was very strong, rich, and interested in stories.

Kumori figured he would be able to get some kind of lead from the man, so here he was, knocking on a solitary door, a storm the size of an ocean right above him.

"Come in!" spoke a gruff voice.

Kumori walked through the door, took of his boots, as was etiquette, and walked forth towards the centre of a white panelled room, sitting on a pillow on both of his knees.

From the right, a large man walked in, black robe falling over his body, open enough to show his large torso, dark skin over rippling muscle. The man had some years to him, his hair, formerly black, now holding some grey hairs, affixed in dreads, falling down past his shoulders, and his eyes holding a solid pair of blocky shades, light reflecting of the dark rims as he walked down to sit in front.

He, without a word cracked his neck, and took out a record player from underneath the table. He then touched it, and it began rotating, playing 'C.R.E.A.M.' by Wu-Tang Clan.

"You know you don't have to sit like that." He spoke, his body vibrating with the power of his voice and his hand clasping down on the table.

Kumori unhooked his legs. "Well, you never know."

The Host laughed at that, chuckling and sending an almost electrical reverb through the air. He had an insane presence, massive body and clearly restrained lightning release.

"Nice music choice, I forget when I first heard it but it's a classic."

"Let's cut the shit. You want information right, well I want you to give it up first. Say 5 questions, deal?"

Kumori smiled. "Yeah, go."

The man laughed, grabbing a cigar from… somewhere., then lighting it up, taking a long puff, then exhaling a cloud of smoke.

"1: Are you Kumori Dokusei, former leader of rain?"

Kumori looked forward for a second, the started laughing his ass of, leading to the man laughing too.

They calmed down, then Kumori said: "Fuck me, I thought I was undercover, then you show me the fuck up. You know your shit."

"2: Who attacked you when you were declared dead?"

"Technically the 3rd hokage, the rain, well 4 now, and jiraiya, as well as 2 ANBU, but it was really two of us, and a well-placed senbon laced with a paralytic. I separated the rest with a barrier seal 5 kilometers wide."

"How did you survive?"

"Well timed earth jutsu and a river. After, I made a weapon even a child could use: a dirt bullet firing gun and went from there. That's 3 by the way."

He nodded. "4: What did you do in Stone?"

Silence for a moment.

"I shouldn't be surprised. Ok, a genjutsu experts' death jutsu forced everyone around me to try to kill me. Self defense killed near 200 all because that Stone bitch wanted me dead post-mortem."

The man smiled, then leaned in. "Final question" The record switched of.

"5: Several years ago, I believe 6, an assassination mission to kill the shinobi gathered for a summit ended in the deaths of all that were gathered. Was that you?"

"That long ago. A year is a millennium in shinobi terms. Yes, I killed them all by myself. The first assassination mission I had, aswell as the first one Hanzo gave in person."

The man leaned back. "Introductions are in order. I am the former second Raikage. The first Ay. I am here in hiding, as I both did not care for the position, and wanted my son to gain the title, though I do still have some links, particularly in black ops. That was how you ended up here."

"Of course, though I am surprised at the freebee?"

He smiled wide, lips showing so much teeth gums crept out too.

"It is only fair to let someone now who you are before you kill them."

Then, like lightning, he burst forward, fist burying into Kumori's gut.

"This is for my son."

Then, like a spear, Kumori shot out the front door, sliding on dirt, before using earth release to create a shield as he flew of the top of the steps leading to the entrance, aiming it above as a massive strike of lightning hit him, destroying the shield instantly.

Kumori rolled into a stand, skidding on the floor with the momentum of the strike. Black rocks beneath charged with static electricity and wind howling with a destructive strength. He twisted his body at the last second to avoid a rapid crack of lightning from above, then looked forward as the 2nd charged into him, using his movement as an opening to attack with Rai release fist at a lightning-fast speed, before, Kumori redirected the fists, to the side. Not stopping, the Raikage shifted his hands to wrap around Kumori's, allowing him to push against Kumori's torso with an application of lightning chakra.

The larger man moved forward with a speed unexpected of his size, lashing out with quick kicks and furious jabs, riddling Kumori's guard with bruises until it faltered, and the 2nd launched himinto the sky with a barrage of blows to his torso. the word shouted by the strikes? hate.

They then grabbed Kumori by the leg, smashing them into the ground, crushing the wind out of their lungs and scattering flecks of black rock about, burying him half way into a crater, then punching down with a strike with the power of thunder, electricity coursing through his toned forearm. It impacted the floor, just as Kumori substituted himself a half meter into the dirt, just enough exposed to cast a jutsu, blowing a white-hot stream of flame at the Former leader's face. He had just enough time to create a shield of lightning, blocking the powerful stream, the two forces pushing against each other. Eventually, the lightning shield exploded forth and destroying the rock around it, forcing Kumori to backflip and avoid the attack with pace, allowing the Raikage to attack, rushing forward to meet himagain. Anticipating this, Kumori substituted with a log filled with explosive notes, creating a terrible boom, and allowing Kumori some space.

The fight wasn't over yet.

Kumori took a deep breath and centred himself.

Out of a dust cloud, came and arc of lightning. Next, he knew, a bolt would come from the heavens. Then he would charge in, to fight with his fists. How did he respond?

He slowly walked to the side, avoiding the arc.

He twisted his whole body, the lightning strike nearly grazing him.

Then, as the figure charged through the cloud, he grabbed his outstretched fist, pulled him in close, and smashed his fist into his kidney. With the momentum of his sprint, the 2nd rolled past, body rag dolling after the precise blow.

Slowly walking to his quarry, he responded to 3 jabs and a mid-kick, by moving his head to dodge all 3 hits, then smashing a fist into his face to interrupt the next blow.

Lightning arced down twice but neither could hit him. A blast of lightning was aimed at him but he dashed under and spartan kicked the man.

No matter what came at him nothing worked. He had adapted.

The two began walking towards each other, intent on finishing the fight.

A bolt flashed next to Kumori, yet this time it was different. The man had body flickered into the strike, and capitalized on the surprise by throttling Kumori in the chest with a chakra infused fist, piercing his skin, paralyzing him with an electric shock, ruining his armour, and propelling him to the edge of the mountain, Kumori slipping off and falling to a ledge below.

The cloud began rolling more and more as chakra, an insane amount, fed into it. Kumori forced himself up, and used earth release to carve his way through the rock to find shelter, finding himself inside just as a flurry of lightning strikes splashed into the entrance. He worked fast, burrowing in further and further, until he reached the middle of the mountains' radius. Then came a shock, his body pulsating with energy. The 2nd was running lightning through the mountain, so Kumori's only way to avoid it was to remove the earth from below him and fall when it struck. He found a rhythm of sorts, dig, drop, dig, drop, destroying each layer, filled with anxiety and pain, until he felt he had reached the bottom, and he began to dig his way out.

As he got out, covered in mud and his own blood, He had to leap out of the way of a strike, not getting far enough away to avoid the strong kick aimed at him, smashing him into a rock.

He charged up his fist from afar, the intention to create a railgun blast and fire it into Kumori's heart

The thunder from the earlier strike came down, and the jutsu from before failed to charge. As the Raikage looked down to see what happened, he noticed a massive hole in his stomach. He turned around, and saw the canon Kumori had set up seconds before.

He smiled. Then fell to the floor dead.

Kumori looked at the aftermath, a near destroyed mountain and a spent cannon, and he laughed hysterically to the clear sky above.

A/N: Much shorter chapter, as less happened this time. I wanted to have a character represent the apex of where Kumori is heading right now, that being mastery of the ninja arts, and then beat the shit out of him. The perspective of you may remember the large man from Kumo from chapter two. Well, his dad is here, and fucking angry. I wanted to explore the aftermath of a full life as an si, and how that would change a person, and how it wouldn't.

Pretty cool fight, with an interesting gimmick and some cool shit form Kumori too.

Next chapter will be much longer, and probably take a week to finish. If you guys want it to come out sooner, I do get a burst of motivation each time you review, and tips on how to improve the story are always appreciated

Thanks for reviewing, thanks for reading.
