"Destroy it!" the Goddess of Creation said when her husband told her what the being down in the cells told him. This being was clearly a threat to her child. It claimed terrible things about Samael. It also claimed they would harm him. this being could not be allowed to continue to exist.
"Wife, you must calm down," God said.
The Goddess glared murderously at her husband. "This being is a threat to our children!"
"I'm not certain that's true. She doesn't appear to have any ill will towards Samael," God said. He had been angry at Chloe Decker when she said the things she had. She accused his son of being evil. She told God that he had turned his own son away. Of course, that made him angry. However, she didn't seem to be speaking out of a place of hatred. In fact, she seemed to care for Samael.
"It has claimed that our child is evil and that you will throw him out of our home! What other proof do you need that it is a threat to him?" the Goddess asked Irritably.
Before God could respond, there was a knock at his door. "Enter."
The door opened seconds later, and Samael came inside.
"Samael, your father and I are busy. You will need to come back later," the goddess said in a firm tone.
"I'm sorry, Mother, but I don't think this can wait. Father needs to hear this immediately," Samael said. He wouldn't normally defy his mother, but this was extremely important.
"It's quite all right, Samael. Tell me what is on your mind," God said.
Samael cringed. He knew his father would not be pleased when he told him he disobeyed him. He was not supposed to go near Chloe until his father figured out what she was. "I went back to the cells to see the woman."
"What? Samael, you were told to stay away from there! You will not go near that thing! It is dangerous!" the Goddess lectured. She didn't want that thing near any of her children but especially not Samael after what it said about him.
Samael shook his head. "I don't think that's true, Mother. I don't think she means any harm." At first he did think that. He believed she was telling lies about him. Now he didn't think so. He didn't know what to make of the things she said about him, but he did believe that she thought she was being truthful.
"Son, you disobeyed me. I told you I didn't want you seeing her," God said in a stern tone.
"I know, Father, but I believe I've discovered why you can't figure out what she is. Please allow me to explain," he said.
"Very well, but we will be speaking about this later."
"Chloe and I believe she may have time traveled," Samael said.
"What? That's impossible," The Goddess said. No one but her and her husband had the power to influence time in that way Not even Amenadiel could harness it that way..
"What makes you say that, son?" God asked. he too found it hard to believe but there had to be a reason his son thought that.
"Well, I had mentioned that Earth had been inhabitable since the dinosaurs were extinct. She said that that had happened millions of years ago," Samael told his parents.
"Obviously, the creature doesn't know what it's talking about," The Goddess said.
"Unless she's not from this time. It makes sense with everything she's said. That's why she thinks Father created her, but Father has never created such a species. She also says she's from Earth, but Earth is inhabitable right now. It explains why she says she knows me, even though I have no recollection of her. It hasn't happened yet," Samael explained
God thought about it. That was a viable explanation. He remembered seeing in her memories that she was on a planet that resembled Earth, but it seemed far more advanced than Earth had ever been. This theory also explained why his omniscience wasn't working on this matter. He couldn't not see millions of years into the future. "This is possible."
"Dear, don't be ridiculous. Only the two of us have such power, and neither of us would send this creature here," The Goddess said.
"That we know of, but remember that won't happen for millions of years if it's true. We don't know what we might do then, or if some other creature gains the same power. We can't predict what might happen that far in advance. The things I was told by Chloe Decker make sense with this new theory. I must consider it," God said.
"If it is true, that means the things she said about me are true as well, don't they?" Samael asked with worry laced in his voice. The thought of hating his father frightened him. He loved him very much. He didn't want to imagine a time that that would change. He also couldn't fathom any reason it would change.
God put his hands on his son's shoulders comfortingly. "Do not dwell on what may or may not happen in the future, Samael. We will handle it then. No matter what, you know that I will always do what is necessary to insure your best interests." If that meant he ended up changing the future, so be it. He didn't know how or why he would come to force his own son out of his home, but he would not allow it to happen. As for his son being evil, no matter what Chloe Decker said, he couldn't believe that that was true. Perhaps she was confused. He would have to question her further on the matter.
"Yes, Father," Samael said.
"Good. Now, I want you to spend the rest of the day in your rooms. You disobeyed me. That can't go unpunished," God said firmly.
"Yes, Father, I understand, but please allow me to see Chloe one more time. I promised I'd go back," Samael said.
"Absolutely not! You will not be seeing that thing again!" The Goddess snapped.
"Not today, Samael. Once I've deemed her safe, perhaps. Right now, you're to go straight to your rooms," he said.
Reluctantly, Samael nodded. He hated going back on his word, but he couldn't disobey his father again tonight.
God waited for his son to leave before turning back to his wife, who looked livid.
"I don't want him anywhere near that being! Who knows what it'll do to him! I want you to destroy it!" The Goddess raged.
"I will not destroy a being that has not done anything to deserve it. If she truly has time traveled, her only sin is that she has information we don't like. As for Samael, I have no intention of allowing him near her again until I ascertain that she is no threat to him. I intend to speak with her again soon. I will get more information then. Then I will decide what to do," God said in a firm tone.
The Goddess huffed angrily before storming from the room.
