"What kind of training are we doing today?" Stella asked, taking a bite out of some toast. The two were having breakfast in his dining room, where once again chase had his cat warriors cook way too much food for the two, but with his overwhelming wealth, it didn't matter to him. He wiped his smirking lips and looked at her with a devilish smile.
"Actually, I've decided we're going out today."
"What?"
"You've been here for two weeks, and you've improved greatly on your combat skills. I think it's time you were rewarded for your hard work."
Stella took a sip of her orange juice and stared at the table.
"I don't know what to say." She felt his hand lift her head up.
"How about a "thank you ?"" He smirked. Stella jumped up to kiss him before running to their room to change. There waiting was another outfit chase made just for her: A simple black spaghetti strap dress, along with a silver anklet and necklace with a purple version of his insignia. Stella squealed and quickly put it on, barely getting her strapped heels on when chase came in, matching the same shade as her in simple robes.
Stella spun for him. "What do you think?"
"You look wonderful."
"Thank you." She walked over to him. She placed her hands gently on his chest. "And thank you for the dress."
"It's not a problem. You are my lady, and you deserve everything." He said as he leaned down to kiss her hand.
"Now, hold onto me. We're going somewhere I think you will like." He ordered.
Stella obeyed, holding onto his arm, and suddenly, she felt the wind knock out of her as chase teleported them to a random place. They were in an alleyway of a big city, one Stella doesn't recognize. When they walked out, the Eiffel tower greeted them in its metal glory.
"PARIS?!" She yelled in excitement.
"Your silly interest in clothing gave me the idea of bringing you here. Apparently it's "fashion week" in Paris.
"It's not silly. It's what makes you all interested in me, no?" She teased
"Seeing you with nothing looks better." He muttered. Stella blushed, and he chuckled. "Come, lets go explore the city."
The day was spent admiring the sites of Paris. Most of it of course was spent in the fashion boutiques, with chase carrying all the bags till it got too much and with a snap of his fingers, the bags were sent to his lair. Stella didn't mind and kept going, not noticing chase straddling behind. He stopped when he noticed a ring in one of the shops windows. It was a yellow topaz hoisted up and surrounded by little topaz gems in the black band. Chase looked over at Stella going into another store, still not realizing his disappearance, and quickly went in.
"I'll take this ring." He said, taking it off display
"It's very lovely. Who's the special girl?" The clerk said
At that point, Stella was back out and looking for chase. He pointed at her.
"Her?? Nice try, mister. There's no way someone like her could be with someone like you." The clerk laughed.
Chase had an annoyed look.
"I was gonna be a gentleman and pay for this, but with that insult, I've changed my mind." He shoved dark magic into the guys chest, who screamed at the pressure.
"You're gonna let me walk out of here with it, and if you try calling the cops, I'll know." He transformed and snarled at the clerk. "Got it?"
The clerk whimpered but nodded his head.
"Good." He snapped back and walked out, hiding the ring. Stella was at a fountain in the center of the shopping area, looking around for Chase, who wrapped around her waist from behind.
"Looking for me?"
"Chase! There you are! I've been looking everywhere for you." She said while resting her head against his chest.
"Not hard enough. I had to do an errand real fast. Did you find anything else in that store?"
"Nah. It was way too snooty for me."
"It's almost time for the fashion show. We need to head over."
"FASHION SHOW?!" Stella yelled. She kissed his cheek and clung his arm tightly. "You sure know how to please a girl."
"I know." He smirked.
They arrived at a fancy cubed shape building and went inside. It was a minimalist design, a white runway, silver lining curtains, and gray chairs lined up the brightly lit runway.
"Wow..." Stella gasped. Chase started at her with a smirk on her face.
A clerk walked up to them looking snooty and mean. "Are you on the list to be here? We don't allow peasants."
"Excuse me?!" Stella snapped
"We're under Chase young."
The clerk checked his clipboard and went pale.
"O-huh. You're in the VIP section. Terribly sorry sir."
"Yeah, next time don't make assumptions, peasant." He growled and pushed him out the way. At the very front of the runway was a roped off section with silver cushioned chairs for VIP only.
"I got us the best seats." Chase said while helping her sit down.
"This is really nice. Not as nice as a solarian fashion show, but still nice."
"How is it on solaria?"
"A lot brighter and colorful."
"Hmm. I think some black and olive green and it be nice in here."
"You do look good in black."
"I make anything look good on me." Chase mused while flipping his bangs away. Stella rolled her eyes, giggling.
The crowd starting filing in and taking their seats and soon it became a full house. Stella was talking to another girl next to them when they heard commotions near the back of the runway.
A white haired man in a bright red suit came out with a sober expression.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I'm afraid the fashion show is cancelled. Our lead model cannot make it, and without her the show cannot go on. I'm very sorry."
The crowd went nuts, yelling and booing at the man. He looked panicked as he scanned the room at the angry people below till he saw Stella, then his eyes beamed in excitement. He ran down the runway and slide off to get face to face. Chase put his arm in front of her to protect her.
"You! You look like the lead model!"
"Imposible. No one outshines her beauty." Chase mumbled.
"You're right. She looks way better. Will you model my clothing and save this show?"
"Me?!" She looked at chase, who nodded his head.
"You're perfect for this." He mused.
"Great! Let's go!" The man said. He snatched her wrist and dragged her to the changing rooms. A swarm of females rushed in to do her hair and makeup, then pushing her to a screen changing room to put on the first outfit.
Chase waited in the vip section, looking bored and miserable. He sat up when the lights dimmed and the runway lights lit up.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to this years Fashion show!" The man shouted.
The crowd went nuts but quickly shushed as the man lowered his hand.
"Up first, is a design made from myself. I call it, "Rose and thorns!"
The surrounding models came out wearing tan jumpsuits with black boots and studded accessories to look like thorns.
Finally Stella stepped out, wearing the lead outfit. A dark red dress with a very deep v neck trailing down. She walked down the run way with ease, her legs popping out the slit and making her golden beaded belt sway. Her hair was put up in a tight bun to shown off her face, though everyone wasn't paying attention to that.
Not even chase. He sat back, chin resting in his hand, smirking at the blonde beauty. He winked at her when she made it to the end and posed for the crowd and sashayed back.
"Next is nighttime havoc!" The man announced.
Stella came out in all black leather pants and halter top and had her hair in a high ponytail with the collar popped all the way up to give her a modern vampire vibe. A random guest couldn't control himself and leaned way too much onto the stage, howling like a madman. Chase growled at the guys incompetence, but calmed down when Stella kicked his face with her stiletto shoes. Stella looked pleased at her actions and went back for the final outfit.
"And now, it's time for the main event. The one you've all been waiting for. This one is called Magic in Paradise!"
Chases eyes lit up in awe the moment Stella walked out.
Out she came in an one shoulder top swirled in a mixture of pinks, purples, and orange, with orange bell bottoms cut open in the front that revealed purple stockings with dark purple heels and orange ascot to match. Her hair flowed gracefully, having finally been released from their hair tie prison and it swayed with her movement down the runway. With a flick of her wrist she made the lights shine brighter when she stopped to allow the patrons to admire her beauty. Chases jaw dropped. Stella giggled and walked away.
They met up 15 minutes later, Chase kissing her as soon as he could.
"You were wonderful up there."
"I noticed. You couldn't keep your eyes off me."
"You were the only real model up there. The rest were too skinny and malnourished."
"Thank you chase."
They walked out and noticed how late it was.
"Well let's go to the tower. It's almost sunset. I have something to show you."
Stella gave him a puzzled look. "Oh. Okay." She took his hand and they went to the Eiffel Tower, where chase had a small table with champagne waiting for them.
"I didn't know you drink."
"Only on special occasions." He said as he poured them a glass. Stella coughed at the taste, making chase smirk at her.
"And I take it you never drank?"
"Legal age is 20 on solaria."
"Well this is France, so the age is 18."
"Shame I'm not breaking any laws."
"We could do something evil later." He mused before taking a sip. They watched the city below in silence, watching the people below go about their lives, and couples holding hands and spinning around in their lovers embrace. Doves flew in front of them, startling Stella at first. Chase looked nervous then hid it under a neutral expression.
"Princess Stella.." he started.
Stella turned to him with a smile.
"Going formal on me, huh?"
"This is important."
Stella straightened up, a look of concern covers her face.
"What's wrong??"
Chase cleared his throat. "We've been together for almost a year now, correct?"
"Yes."
"And you're...happy with me, right?"
"Of course." She said, coming closer and laying her hands on his chest.
"Well you've already seen how the monks think of you, and you're not a xiaolin monk anymore. Soon my reign on this world will be here, and..."
Stellas face leaned closer to his.
"And?"
"And..." he dropped down on one knee, ring in hand. "every evil King needs an Evil queen."
"Chase..." she gasped
"Princess Stella of Solaria...will you marry me?"
Stella started crying, but nodded her head vigorously. Chases smile grew wide.
"Yes..yess Chase Young! I will marry you!"
Chase put the ring on and hoisted her up in the air, spinning her around the balcony. A long heated kiss ensued after chase finally put her down. He pulled away and hugged her tightly.
"We'll get married after we have total evil domination."
"I like the sound of that."
"Now let's go home, my darling fiancée." He muttered in her ear, summoning black smoke to take them back to his, but soon to be "their, lair.
