So I found this on my hard drive. Here I thought I had lost this chapter.

Disclaimer: I don't own Star Wars.
Blaster bolts flew over the overturned gas canister. Break kept his head down while the Over Hound thugs laid down a suppressing fire filling the hallway with blaster fire. He saw one of his men look over his own cover only to be shot through the head.
"Osik," the old clone cursed wanting to face palm at the man's stupidity. Instead shaking his head, he looked over to the other side of him to see the Droid lean out the opposite side of the canister and fire some bolts with his salvaged E-11 blaster. Judging from the screams down the hall, a few goons must have been hit. Taking advantage of the proceeding lull in fire, Break popped up and laid down fire of his own. His men followed suit popping up adding to the barrage.
If anyone ever told me, I'd be in a firefight, blasting away foes with a feirfekking clanker at my side, I'd have told them to go to Mustafar and take a bath in the lava. Break fired away hitting thugs too slow to take cover at the end.
"Cover me!" he shouted as he hopped over the canister. S-Cee wasn't far behind. Some thugs popped up tried to get a shot off at him but the droid leapt ahead soaking up most of the bolts. Break fired around the droid killing another thug. He heard a sharp metallic hiss as the vibroblade on the Droid's back was drawn. Break slowed down, keeping out of the massive weapons reach.
The Droid laid into the goons like a whirlwird and with each swing taking a thug's life or multiple since the goons were piled up at the end of the hall. The goons didn't really stand a chance, being sliced apart with relative ease. The subtle whines of S-Cee's servos brought back memories of the Clone Wars that Break would he rather not think of at the moment.
So he began focusing on the goons on the opposite side on the large room they entered. If the scans were right, the room they were pumping the gas into was on the other side of this one. He ducked behind more canisters as his men filed in, filling the room with more blaster fire.
One goon ran forward firing on Breaks location. Blue baster bolts firing from the man's DC-15s. An annoyed rage bubbled to surface of Break's mind. He wasn't going to be killed with a weapon he knew far better than the piece of junk in his hands right now. With a roar he hopped over his cover and tackled the human man holding the rifle. Break grabbed the rifle and forcing the man on his back. They struggled for a moment before Break let go with one hand and elbowed the goon in the face. The thug's grasp loosened as his head snapped back slamming into the duracrete. Break pulled the gun out of his hand. He shot the man in the chest twice as he stood up.
Break smiled grimly as he leveled his newly acquired weapon at the other thugs. Hitting them with pinpoint accuracy as the familiar weight of a real weapon rested on his arms. Just like riding a speeder bike, you never forget, he mused.
With most of the thugs dealt with, the last being was decapitated by the Droid's new sword. Break signaled his men to form up on the door. One of his men began slicing through the control panel finding a non-explosive way of breaking in. After a few unsuccessful minutes of watching his tech trooper grunt and groan, even letting out a small shout as he was shocked from a failed attempt forced the droid to move up to the man.
"Hey what are you…" the trooper shouted indignantly as the beskar-plated droid practically threw him out of the way.
Break shook his head but the readied his rifle waiting for the doors to open. His men followed suit brandishing their own blasters taking cover behind the canister they set up while waiting on the tech trooper.
The few seconds that the droid worked may as well been hours with the adrenaline dancing on the edge of his nerves. It felt good to have that very old and welcomed feeling again after all this time playing cop. The doors opened with a grating hiss and he was greeted with many blasters on the opposite side.
"Just great," Break muttered before pulling the trigger again dropping another Over Hound at the door. Blaster bolts filled the room again. Break growled out orders.
"Only shoot if they step through! We can't risk blowing this place to bits!" These orders limited his troopers' attack to talking careful pot shots while the Over Hounds could fire as they pleased. Things were not going well, but he had an idea. He took out a thermal detonator. He smirked having quick memories of smuggler who escaped him early in his law enforcement career. He tossed the grenade over his canister without flicking the detonator switch. The effect was what he expected, the thugs scattered throwing off their fire and letting his troops cut down at least half while they ran for the exit which Break and his men fought through earlier. The other half realized it was a bluff and continued to fire out the door.
While many readied to fire once more, blaster fire erupted behind them cutting them down. Break looked over to see the large Lieutenant of the Overhounds in the doorway. The man's gray sleeved flabby arms were up in the air and something glowed blue in his hand. Break strained to see what looked like an Imperial Intelligence Badge.
"It's about kriffing time you showed up. I was beginning to think that this sector was karked." Break stood up cautiously in case it was a trap and approached. "Captain, I am special agent Harrel Grol of Imperial Intelligence. I have been stalling the best I can until you arrived. Now It would wise we vacated the area. I managed to limit the damage when things blow, but Crous had many failsafe's put in. Ones I couldn't deactivate without blowing my cover… or the plant."
Still not trusting the man he signaled his tech sergeant to check to be sure. The trooper approached. The Imperial handed the badge to the trooper who plugged into his mobile data base.
"His credentials check out sir." Break lowered his gun. The officer seemed to be relaxing a bit as well.
"Captain, have two of your men carry out the Zabrak female knocked out on the floor. She has information on some enemies of the Empire that could be of use."
Break nodded and signaled two of his men to go into the room and retrieve the woman in question.
"Alright troopers, let move. You heard the man this building is coming down!" They filed out escorting the Agent with them.
"You want to alert your partner?" Break asked the Droid.
"She has been out of contact since she left for the command center. She has no doubt engaged the Over Hound Leader in the control room," Break shook his head in disagreement.
"If it wasn't for you two, we wouldn't have learned of this in time… or at all really. Let's move." He held his finger to the side of his helm. ::All units evacuate the building. I repeat evacuate the building::
"Now let's save your friend." The Droid gave a simple nod before sprinting. In the direction of the command center.
Vetrova readied herself to meet Crous' blue lightsaber blade. Her stance was steady, her eyes locked with Crous'. When Crous brought down his blade quickly, she moved to intercept it. What happened next filled Vet with a wave terror as Crous' blade passed straight through her own.
Vet with a small shriek, nervously tried to dodge by jumping to the side, but was too late. Instead of feeling the blade's impact on her armor it continued to pass through as with her saber. There was no pain and she looked up to see Crous' form flicker slightly. It… It… was a hologram.
She sensed raw malice behind her and turned around ignoring the hologram and meeting Crous' real blade at the last second. He had a cocky grin on his face.
"Like that little trick do you?" He jeered as he broke the hold and stepped back beginning a series of strikes that she matched with her own. Vet only growled in response as their blades locked once again.
"Ironically I got them from your peoples' home world." He continued while they broke their locked blades and fought. He parried a strike from Vetrova then leapt to the next row of isles on his right. He sailed through the air and landed on top a computer in one of the old cubicles. Vet held her saber in front of her and hopped up top as well to keep level with her opponent. They jabbed at each other before Vet tired of that and stuck out her left land and fired off her flamethrower forcing Crous to backflip down to the isle floor.
He growled, flinging out his hand. The Force hit Vetrova as she jumped toward Crous sending her end over end. Flying a few isles over. She landed hard on her back with a grunt. The holoconsole she hit went off with the sound of breaking glass and an explosion of sparks. She rolled to the side instantly as not a second later a blue blade plunged into the desk. She rolled to her feet, her breathing heavy. She swung her blade at Crous' exposed shoulder but the human already had his lightsaber pulled out and easily parried her slash. He took advantage of a momentary opening in her defence and stabbed at her chest. Vet shifted so the point of his lightsaber defected of her right breast plate. She brought her blade back and pushed his away from her inner guard. He growled as he seen her armor easily deflect the blow.
He swiped away her blade and kicked her hard in the side where her ribs were broken earlier. Vet resisted the urge to double over in pain. Stepping back as Crous struck again and again. His strikes were wide, and each hit was barely blocked by herself in turn. Adrenaline was the only thing keeping her from slipping up. Crous' face was a mix of fury and glee, as he knew he had Vet.
Vet had an idea she dropped her guard lazily and waited for the next strike. Crous took the bait and swung thinking her defeated. Vet smiled under helm. This would either brilliant or go down as another stupid bounty hunter death for the annals. She sidestepped at the last second and got past Crous' guard. Crous who was now off balance from his last strike, tried to pull back. Vet didn't give the chance and gave him an old fashioned Keldabe Kiss. Her helm slammed into his head, breaking his nose and loosening his grip in his saber. Vetrova reignited her blade and swung up chopping off his arm at the elbow.
Crous lightsaber deactivated as it hit the ground. Crous grabbed his stump of an arm with his other and let out a yell. The force curled around him and sent her flying back into another console. Not letting herself be distracted by pain she pulled out a blaster and sent to bolts into each of Crous' knees. He fell
She limped over to the fallen Jedi.
"So, this is where it ends? Shoot me and turn my corpse in then." He smiled and let his remaining arm slink down to the side. Vet didn't lower her blaster. There was something in his eyes. Vet realized he wanted to die. The empire would do terrible things to him, but unfortunately for him, she had a bounty to collect.
She snorted, "I should, but you're worth more alive than dead." She flipped her blaster to stun. Crous' eyes widened. Vet fired twice for good measure. Crous slumped as the blasts hit him before he could react.
Vet slumped and leaned on a nearby console. She looked up seeing one of the monitors. Some sort of countdown had started upon Crous falling into unconscious. Vet growled, and leaned down to grab Crous' lightsaber and clipped to her belt. She then attempted to lift Crous up. "You're really not going to make this easy, are you?"
She almost collapsed when she bent over as her ribs, rebroken by Crous' hit, screamed in protest. Seeing the timer, reach a minute and half. Vet gritted her teeth and picked up the man. Grabbing his lightsaber and clipping it to her belt in the process. She limped along. Common sense said to drop her bounty and get out alive, but he was worth a lot of creds. Don't get too greedy adika. Creds are no good if you're too dead to spend'em. Her father's words played in her head. She sighed and was about to drop Crous. His lightsaber would have to do for proof of death. Here she was, hoping to keep it as a trophy.
When she reached the door, it opened. S-Cee and the Captian were standing there. She laughed, "We have to go." Seeing the timer, on the monitor reach a minute. Break grabbed and aided her in running, While S-Cee threw Crous over his shoulder like a sack of grassgrain. They ran like… well someone trying to outrun an explosion. As they neared the final stretch to the exit, the place began to thunder behind them. Break's men were hovering by the platform in their shuttle, urging their Captain on. They jumped and landed on the shuttle's ramp and the Pilot didn't wait and took off. A few seconds later, the sewage plant exploded behind them in a green-orange plum of smoke and debris.
Break was the first to speak. "Well… that's going to earn me a fierfecking load of paperwork."
