Author's Note:

1. I do not own Xiaolin Showdown but I do love both of the series. I do own Gloria/Gizmo who is Jack's daughter in fanfiction; she'll be a character throughout the story and I hope you will all like her

2. This fanfiction is an updated version of a story that I had started writing in 2014 and stopped working on in 2016 due to a lack of time and inspiration. Unfortunately I lost the original files and thus have no other choice but to post an entirely new version of the story that was copied and pasted from the original and then edited. Hopefully this version will be grammatically correct and have less errors overall.

3. Time to meet Jack's mother, since she's unnamed in the show I will be giving her one; I also don't remember her being shown in the show so her personality will be complete guess work on my part, hopefully no one will mind me doing so.

Also, you guys get to meet Jack's brother and mother in law; they're original characters of mine just like Gizmo is, hopefully you'll like them.

4. There will be more yaoi in future chapters, but if that makes you uncomfortable then you're in luck because there's none in this particular chapter; just know that it will be returning at some point.

5. Forgot to actually mention it in this chapter but Chase and Hera are not wearing what they would typically wear, instead they're both in what would be considered more normal, albeit still nice, clothing.

Anyway, time to move on, I hope those that are reading the story will enjoy it.

Jack had gone to bed very late and had known he wouldn't be getting as much sleep that night; despite that knowledge, however, he couldn't help but groan out loud as he found himself awoken by something landing with a hard plop on his bed early in the morning.

"Daddy! Get up!" Gizmo's voice whined excitedly next to him as he cracked his eyes open slightly.

"Come on Daddy! You have to wake up and start packing and go to Grandma Spicer's mansion!" Gizmo added insistently, shaking Jack's shoulder a little in an attempt to wake him up faster.

"I'm up sweetie, just give me a minute." Jack said with an amused laugh as he groggily sat up and glanced at the clock next to him.

"6:00 am, of course Gizzie would wake me up this early." Jack thought to himself as he stretched and then glanced at his excited daughter who was bouncing on his bed and staring at him expectantly.

"Looks like you already got yourself dressed, Daddy still needs to do that; then I can start packing." Jack told his daughter who was still staring at him and waiting for him to get out of bed.

"Why don't you start packing on your own, I'll come check on you in a bit to make sure you have everything you need." Jack added, trying to give his daughter something to do instead of just stare at him.

"Okay Daddy I can so that, then when I'm done packing I can go wake up Chase and Lady Hera!" Gizmo said in a chipper way.

"Oh no you don't Missy, you focus on packing or you'll miss something. We can worry about getting Chase and Hera up after I've inspected your bag." Jack said, trying to be stern but secretly panicking at the thought of Gizmo going to wake Chase up.

"Aw okay Daddy, I won't leave my room until you check my bag. That means you have to pack quickly though." Gizmo said pouting and looking at Jack in an insistent way.

"Honey, why do we have to hurry? Grandma Spicer may not even be awake yet, and your Grandma Othello and Uncle Vincent might not arrived yet." Jack said kindly, knowing that his daughter was excited but not wanting her to get her hopes up.

"I'm sure that she's up and I'm also sure that they're at her house, also if Aunt Cosette is there with little Felix she'll cook a big breakfast for everyone; and I don't want us to miss it!" Gizmo said in an extremely excited way.

"Sweetie I don't know if Aunt Cosette and Felix are even..." Jack started to say calmly when his daughter excitedly interrupted.

"Of course they're coming, they haven't seen us in two years either; they'd never miss a chance to reunite with us, I know they wouldn't." Gizmo said in an extremely confident way.

"Which means we need to hurry and get packing or we'll miss breakfast!" Gizmo added in an even more determined way.

"Oh alright, you go ahead and get started. I'll be in to check on you after I've gotten dressed." Jack said with an amused but slightly defeated sigh.

Gizmo nodded and eagerly left the room, Jack chuckled to himself and knowing that his daughter wouldn't forgive him if he didn't hurry he was quick to get himself dressed and started packing his own bag. Once he was sure he had everything ready for the two week stay Jack quickly made his way over to his daughter's room.

"Gizmo, can I come in?" Jack asked after knocking on his daughter's door.

"Yes Daddy, come in and check my bag!" Gizmo said in a very eager way.

Jack chuckled to himself at this and quickly went inside, Gizmo was standing by her and was bouncing up and down excitedly on her tiptoes as she waited for him to examine her packed bag. Much to his surprise Gizmo had packed a reasonable amount of clothing on her first try, she had even folded everything so it could fit without being squished.

"Good job sweetheart, you pass inspection." Jack said proudly.

"Yay! Now can we wake Chase and Lady Hera?!" Gizmo asked excitedly.

"Yes I suppose we can, but no rushing into Chase's room; we need to at least knock. Also I don't actually know where Hera sleeps." Jack said with an amused chuckle.

"Oh I know where she is, I can go get her and you can wake up Chase." Gizmo offered, trying to be helpful.

"That's a very helpful thought sweetheart, but this is a big lair; we should stick together so you don't get lost." Jack said with a gentle smile.

"Well okay, but who should we wake up first then?" Gizmo asked with a tilt of her head.

"Chase's room isn't too far away from ours, he's already an early riser so there's a chance that he's up already." Jack said, secretly hoping that Chase actually was awake and that they wouldn't be disturbing him.

"Okay then, let's head to his room!" Gizmo said in an excited way, offering Jack her free hand while her other hand held onto her suitcase's handle.

With an amused chuckle Jack took his daughter's hand and the two started walking; they only made it into the dinning hall, however, before discovering that Chase was in there waiting for them with a dark skinned woman with golden eyes that Jack could only guess was Hera in her true form.

"Ah good morning you two, looks like you were right about them being up this early Hera." Chase said, greeting them and then turning to look at the woman next to him.

"An excited four year old is very difficult to keep asleep, I had little doubt that young Gloria would have us all up early." Hera said in a logical way, though looking the slightest bit embarrassed as Chase's attention turned to her.

"You were right, she woke me up early because she's certain my family will all be at my Mother's mansion and will be cooking breakfast for us." Jack said with an amused chuckle, feeling slightly surprised that Gizmo didn't say anything about Hera's use of her real first name.

"No silly Daddy, it won't be Grandma Spicer that's cooking; it'll be Aunt Cosette!" Gizmo corrected with a giggle.

"Right, of course. How could I forget that you're certain she'll be there." Jack said with an amused chuckle.

"Because she will be, and so will Felix; you'll see." Gizmo said with a confident nod.

"In any case, now that we're all up and packed, I suppose we might as well head out." Chase chimed in after having been watching the interaction between Jack and Gizmo.

"Right then, how about I take us there since I know where we're going and I haven't used the Golden Tiger Claws for a while." Jack offered, not wanting Chase to have to do all of the hard work.

"That's a very generous offer Jack, thank you." Chase said gratefully.

"Alright then, everyone grab your bags, Golden Tiger Claws activate!" Jack said first to the group and then activating the Shen Gong Wu to open a hole in the air.

"It's okay sweetheart, you can go through the whole thing; it won't hurt you." Jack said in an encouraging way when Chase and Hera were quick to go through the hole but Gizmo hesitated.

After being encouraged Gizmo carefully went through, once she had gotten to the other side Jack was next to go through and quickly closed the hole behind him. With that done he turned towards Chase and Hera who were staring at the mansion in front of them.

Jack couldn't blame them for staring, the building in front of them was made of beautiful white stone and was very large, the garden was well manicured and went for quite a ways; though Jack had teleported them just down the step from the front door so most of the garden was actually behind them.

"Well then, I suppose I should ring the bell and let my Mother know we're here." Jack said with an amused chuckle, causing Chase and Hera to break out of their stunned silence.

"Yes, that would be wise." Chase said, clearing his throat and trying not to look embarrassed.

Jack tried no to smirk at Chase's embarrassment as he made his way up the step to the door, he hadn't even managed to ring the doorbell when suddenly the door swung open and his very excited mother hugged him tightly. In the two years she had gotten a few more white hairs mixed in with her very light elaborate blonde bun but other than that she looked the same as she had when he was younger.

"Oh Jackie! It's so good to see you dear!" She cued happily as she continued to hug him.

"It's good to see you too Mom." Jack said feeling slightly embarrassed to be hugged like this in front of Chase and Hera but allowing it because it had been two years since his Mother had seen him.

"Oh and little Gloria, my dear sweet granddaughter. Com to grandma sweetie!" His mother squealed happily, taking one arm off Jack and signaling for Gizmo to come over.

"Grandma! I'm so happy to see you!" Gloria said, rushing to hug her grandmother once she'd been invited to do so.

"And you must be the guest Jack said were coming with him. I'm Sylvia Spicer, it's a pleasure to meet you both." His mother said finally letting go of Jack and Gizmo to greet Chase and Hera.

"A pleasure Miss Spicer, I am Chase Young, and this is my assistant Hera." Chase said with a graceful bow before politely taking her hand and kissing it.

"Oh what a charming man, so good to meet you; and you as well Miss Hera." Jack's mother said with a pleased chuckle as she shook Hera's hand.

"A pleasure to meet you as well Miss Spicer, my employer and I are very honored to have been welcomed in your home." Hera said, also bowing politely after having shaken his mother's hand.

"Such lovely people, honestly Jack, I think these two alone are better than some of your other business partners." His mother complimented in a very pleased sounding way.

"I'm glad you think so Mom, I don't suppose we could all come in now though?" Jack said with an amused chuckle.

"Ah right, sorry about that. Just leave your bags on the front step, the robots Jack made me will take them to your guest rooms for you." His mother said looking embarrassed for only a moment before clapping her hands together; causing very sleek robots to appear from nowhere.

"Aren't they lovely, they're the latest model my son made. They're not available to the genre public yet but Jack let me have them early." His mother bragged happily as the robots took the bags and zipped away without a word.

"Mom you don't need to brag about my robots, those robots are two years old already; I need to make..." Jack started to say in an embarrassed way, as his mother started to lead them inside, but getting interrupted before he could finish.

"Nonsense Jack, these models are wonderful; there's no reason for you to go and make new ones." His mother complimented kindly.

"Now then, enough worrying about those robots. Cosette is in the kitchen with the cooking staff making breakfast for us and I for one am famished." His mother added in a very excited way.

"So Cosette is here, that's good; it'll be nice to see her." Jack said with an amused smile as he noticed the I told you so look his daughter was giving him.

"Well of course she's here you silly man, did you think Vincent would leave her and Felix at their home after not having seen you for two years, also you brought guests here to meet your family so it would have been rude not to have come." His mother said with an amused chuckle.

"Speaking of Vincent, you know he'll want to give you an exam of some sort after not seeing you for two years and knowing who you were with; so don't even bother arguing with him." His mother added, still sounding the way.

"An exam? Forgive me for asking, but why would Vincent give Jack an exam?" Chase asked curiously.

"Did Jack not tell you? Vincent is a well known doctor and is Jack's personal physician." His mother told Chase, looking surprised that Jack hadn't informed him.

"Vincent's profession didn't come up until now, I actually haven't told Chase or Hera anything about any of you guys to be honest." Jack explained in an embarrassed way.

"It's just like you to forget these things, probably busy worrying about other things. In any case Chase and Hera will be able to learn more about all of us while staying here." His mother said with an amused roll of her eyes, smiling at Jack and at Chase and Hera.

"That would be nice." Chase said with an approving nod.

"Well here we are, this is the dining room, Vincent will be waiting for us inside so let's head in." His mother said happily before opening the door.

Sure enough sitting at the large table was a man that Jack knew very well, he was tall and thin but was also still a muscular man with dark blue eyes and long black hair that was tied back; at the sight of them all he quickly made his way over.

"Jack! Gizmo! Oh it's so good to see you both!" Vincent said, hugging both Jack and Gizmo at the same time.

"Uncle Vincent, I'm so happy to see you." Gizmo said happily, eagerly hugging her uncle back.

"It's good to see you Vince." Jack said happily as he once again allowed himself to be hugged.

"God you're so thin Jack, did that bastard not feed you?!" Vincent asked in a concerned way as he let go of both Jack and Gizmo.

"He fed me enough to keep me from dying, but I've definitely lost weight." Jack said in a very embarrassed way.

"Listen, my mother already told me that you wanted to give me an exam; in the meantime let me introduce you to the people I brought over while we wait for Cosette to get done cooking." Jack added desperate to keep his brother in law from examining him right there in front of everyone.

"Right, sorry about that." Vincent said apologetically before turning to Chase and Hera.

"My name is Vincent Othello, my sister Alana was Jack's wife before she was killed by the man I'm forced to call my Father." Vince explained as he introduced himself.

"A pleasure to meet you Vincent, I am Chase Young and this is my assistant Hera. I'm very sorry about what happened to your sister but I assure you that your Father will get what's coming to him." Chase said with an odd look in his eyes as he shook Vincent's hand.

"I like the sound of that, unfortunately we'd have to find him first." Vincent said, looking pleased by what Chase had said but also looking a bit frustrated as well.

"You'd be surprised by my employer's connections, he'll find your Father." Hera chimed in, trying to reassure Vincent.

"Enough about that man for now all of you, you all sit down and I'll see if Vivianna has managed to get little Felix up yet." Jack's mother said before Vincent could comment on what Hera had said.

"Right, forgive us for bringing the topic up, Miss Spicer." Chase said with an apologetic bow.

"Not to worry dear, and please... call me Sylvia." Jack's mother said with a kind smile.

"Grandma Spicer, can I come with you to get Felix and Grandma Othello?" Gizmo asked suddenly, surprising everyone because she had been fairly quiet the whole time.

"What are you plotting Missy?" Jack asked knowing there had to be a reason Gizmo had spoken up.

"I'm not up to anything Daddy, I just want to see Felix and Grandma Othello." Gizmo said, giving Jack her best innocent smile.

"Oh come now Jack, what will it hurt if you let Gloria come with me?" His mother asked, looking a bit confused.

"I suppose it won't hurt anything, I just know she's got something in particular on her mind; I'm sure you'll hear all about it on the way." Jack said, signaling for the two to go ahead and go.

"Do I want to know or would you rather not say?" Vincent asked curiously.

"Let's just say it involves Chase and I, I'm sure she'll tell you about it later too. Just know that I do still miss Alana, I just..." Jack started to explain, feeling a bit surprised to see Chase blush, but getting interrupted by Vincent.

"Jack I know you'll never forget Alana, but whatever you're talking about is your and Chase's business; you don't need to explain yourself to me." Vincent said kindly.

"Thanks Vince, I appreciate that." Jack said with an embarrassed smile.

"As do I." Chase chimed in, also looking embarrassed but also appreciative.

"I can't promise my mother won't interfere with whatever is going on between you two, by I for one promise to behave." Vincent said with a chuckle.

"Yeah there's not much we can do about my Mother or Vivianna, I'm afraid we'll just have to deal with them the best we can." Jack said with an amused sigh.

"Try not to worry about it for now, let's sit down and talk about other things while we wait for them to come back and wait for my wife to come out of the kitchen." Vincent said in an encouraging way.

"He's right, we should discuss other things; we can worry about Jack's Mother and Mother in Law later." Hera encouraged as well when Jack and Chase gave each other a knowing look.

"Very well, it probably would be best not to worry." Chase said with the slightest of sighs as he sat down.

Jack nodded in agreement as he took a seat, he was glad for the distraction but also couldn't help but wonder what his mother and mother in law would ultimately do to get involved with him and Chase after Gizmo told them what was currently going on between them.
