Jack and Lisa sat in the waiting room at the hospital. Jack reached over and took Lisa's hands in his.
"She'll be fine." Lisa looked back at him, she smiled for a second.
"I know she'll be fine. Did I ever tell you about that time her horse threw her into a creek. "
"No I don't think you have." Lisa smiled at the memory.
"Me and June, I think we were in eight grade we were spending the summer at my aunt Evalin's farm. Her second husband had a farm like Farefield in Florida but it was much bigger of course. June and I were riding two of her horses through the forest behind her property. June was a little ahead of me and a snake came out of the bushes. June's horse saw it and threw her. She rolled down a hill and ended up the river. She was fine but her horse bolted and aunt Evalin never let us ride in the forest again."
Jack chuckled, "I thought you said you didn't ride?" Lisa turned away pulling her hand away from his. Jack was about to say something when the doctor walked up to them.
"Are you June's family?" Lisa and Jack stood up.
"Um... No where her friends her husband is on his way back from a business trip."
"Okay June broke her arm but other than that she will be okay. You can go see her if you like."
"Thank you." Lisa said. The doctor showed them to June's room then left.
