Amphibia: Living In A Frog World

Stakeout

During that day at the Plantar house, Sprig, Marcy and Polly are doing dishes while KJ and Frank were clearing the table. Polly was licking a fork and humming. Marcy was telling her about anime she watched on Earth. Polly was bored at first, but then her interested grew when Marcy talked about warriors that can blow up building with a finger.

"That's cool." Polly smiled, laughing evilly as she rubbing her hands. "I could do anything if I was that strong!"

"Well, I would use my powers for good." Marcy smiled, setting a dish away in the drying rake.

"You just have to be a goodie goodie." Polly looked disappointed.

"Not all people were good. From our world, there were lot of bad guys that wanted to hurt people." said Frank.

"And that's when superheroes were born. Fighting crimes and save the day." KJ added.

"Really? Cool!" Sprig smiles.

Anne was sitting on couch along with Sasha and Hop Pop. The trio sighed deeply, they we're having another heated argument. Marcy ignored the fighting as per usually, but for Frank that he can see why they're arguing about.

"Look, dude, all I'm saying is that where I'm from you could get arrested for having a couch this firm." said Anne.

"That lumpy so called bed you gave us is more comfortable then this!" Sasha added, struggling to fine a comforty spot. "We threw out our garage back home! And get new ones!"

"This couch isn't garage it has history! I was sitting on it when Sprig and Polly were hatched. But oh, it's just a couch! Also back in my day we didn't have furniture. We sat on rocks. Sharp ones!" Hop Pop glared back, with a stink eye. Being as stubborn as they're were.

"Okay." Anne rolled her eyes, folding her arm with annoyed sigh. "But if I get butt blisters, I'm blaming you!"

"Back in my day we called those "character". Hop Pop smiled, folded his legs with a crack.

Outside of the Plantar house, the kids were carrying boxes of vegetables bringing them to the wagon.

"So...heavy!" Anne groaned, struggle to lift the box, as she exit the house, hitting her head on the way out, as she was unable to see in front of her.

"Urrgghh!" Sasha bumped into her from behind. "Move Anne! This weights a ton!"

"Sorry Sash, it's just that I can't see with this box in the way."

Hop Pop pointed at a rock that was sticking out of the ground, that Anne was just about to step on.

"Mind the flagstone." His warning came a little to late as Anne trips on a rock and yells, landing on the ground vegetables rolling all over the places.

"Ahhh" Sasha screamed and tripped over Anne's body falling on top of her, both girl's groaned in pain. Hop Pop stared in annoyance and picked up the vegetables that fell near his feet.

"Back in my day, kids spent less time complainin' and more time watching their step!" said Hop Pop

"You're lucky I'm not hurt or I'll sue you." Sasha groaned and picked herself and dusted herself off and help Anne up.

"Jokes on you, I have no money."

Sasha glared at Hop Pop as she turn to Anne, with concern.

"Are you alright!?" Sasha asked.

"Ye-yeah." Anne held her arm and hissed before she glared at Hop Pop. "Yeah? Well, where we're from people fixed their crummy houses! I could have broken something!"

"This house is like family! It's been here at the very early days of Wartwood!" Hop Pop gasped, looking offended, giving the girl's a look of frustration. "You apologize!"

"To a house?" Anne asked.

"Yeah, I'm not apologize to that death trap!" Sasha retorts.

Sprig slowly walked by with concerned as he watched the two humans fight with Hop Pop. He slowly made his way over to the wagon where Frank and KJ that were currently feeding Bessie while Marcy is writing down her notes until he tugged on Marcy's hoodie, she turned down to look at Sprig surprised to see him.

"Uh... Hi... Sprig?" She gave him a smile.

"Marcy should we do anything about this?" Sprig asked, hoping Marcy will know anything that might be of help.

"About what?" She gave a paused look raising an eyebrow.

"Is something wrong?" Frank turn his head at him.

"What do you mean? I mean that." Sprig pointed at the fighting going on.

"FINE!" Sasha groaned and turned to the house and patted the wall. "I'm sorry that your crappy old house. Is old and crappy! HAPPY!"

"Don't give use that tone with me!" Hop Pop waved a finger.

"Get your finger out of my face!" Sasha slapped his hand away.

"Oh...That's just how they're, fighting with their parents their teachers, and the mall cops. I just ignored it." said Marcy, she didn't want to get involved she normally ignored conflict or just made peacemaker.

"Or just enjoying the show!" Polly smiled, watching the argument.

"Please don't. It's just too painful." Frank looked away while tipping his hat down.

"Why?" Sprig asked.

"It's complicated." replied Frank.

"He doesn't want to talk about it. Trust me." KJ whispered.

Sprig really wants to know why they're arguing so much, but they told him to ignored it. Where did it go wrong?

Back inside of the house, Polly was playing solitaire with Frank and KJ in the living room while Sprig was reading next to Marcy. Then suddenly, they heard a loud thud.

"Where we're from, we didn't rush people in the bathroom!" Anne shouted before another thud was heard.

"Well, back in my day, we didn't have a bathroom!" Hop Pop shouted before another thud was heard.

"Where we're from, we didn't have big battering rams, either!" Sasha yells back at him.

"Yeah, so stop hitting the door with a battering ram!" Anne shouted as well.

"IT'S BEEN TWO HOURS!" Hop Pop shouted.

Frank looks a bit annoyed that those three were arguing again since yesterday when they tried to make their own pizzas to help the Plantars win, but it didn't well after they lost the ingredients and were forced to use Hop Pop's terrible recipe. Now Sprig started to get annoyed that he can't handle the arguement.

"I can't take this anymore!" Sprig exclaimed.

"Tell me about it." Frank agreed when looked annoyed.

"They're just getting used to each other. It's not a big deal." Polly assured him.

"Not a big deal? Don't you remember what happened to the Hendersons next door? They used to argue all the time, and look at what happened to them." He pointed out the window.

Right at a destroyed looking treehouse that was sinking into a lake of green water. The house looked like it's been dead for years, with nothing growing around the rotting tree that had its windows bard up. There was a for sale sign out in the front, but the door was open when Wally walked out of the house with a stack of plates.

"Nothing like scavenging the remains of a broken frog family in the night" said Wally, placing the plates in a cart with more dishes and utensils and then ran as fast as he could with his loot.

"Wait, did Wally just loot some stuff?" Frank looked a bit disturbed.

"That's just really messed up." KJ commented.

"If we don't do something now, it won't be long before their bickering tears this family apart!" Sprig exclaimed, pacing around the room.

"Really? You think that will happen? Was it that bad?" Marcy pulled her hoodie over her head.

Her anxious took of her, its just a little fight. It had to be, right? Marcy just wants her friends to be together, it was miracle they ended up together so she had to keep it like this. KJ looks a bit worried about her since he's the only person who cares about her.

"Marcy, are you okay?" KJ asked.

"I know you don't like to see them arguing, but I kinda suggest that we should ignored them. It'll pass." Frank suggested.

"I still think we should just give them time. Not like we have a lot of options. You can't force people to get along." said Polly.

Just then, an idea started forming in Sprig's head.

"Of course not, Polly." Sprig began as he closed his book moved back and went behind the wall, although peeping out from it a bit, before Polly interrupted. "Of course not. Of course-"

"Just go already!" Polly interrupted.

Then Marcy followed Sprig outside, leaving the others behind. She ran up to catch up with the little frog who was too fast for her.

"Wait up, Sprig!" Marcy hollers

"Don't try to stop me, Marcy! I'm trying to save this family!" said Sprig, continuing leaping away

"Wait!" Marcy tried to catch up, but Sprig was to fast. "I want to help."

"Huh?" Sprig halt in his tracks, and turned to see Marcy. "Really?"

She finally caught up to Sprig, stopping to take a breath as she lean down holding her knees.

"Yes. I don't want use to split up. My friends are important and if we don't starting getting along they might destroy our house. I can't let them happen. If it did, we might have to separate."

Sprig smiled, happy someone was taking him seriously.

"Alright I have a plan."

Later on, the kids were on the back porch with Hop Pop and Polly. Anne and Sasha were reading a magazine with Polly, Hop Pop and KJ was sitting on a crate enjoying the view, and Frank was sitting on the edge of the platform with a spear. He looked at the water for any fish to stab and catch. Narrowing his gaze at a single fish when Frank was about to strike, but until Sprig jumps in.

"WE'VE BEEN ROBBED!" Sprig yells.

"AAAAHHHH!" Frank yelled out, startled, and fell into the water. Making a big splash.

"SAY WHAT?!" Hop Pop yelled, standing up on his crate with big eyes and grabbing his head.

Anne giggled before Frank's head came up from the water and frowned at them.

"Sorry. Sorry. It's not you. It's just that Hop Pop delivered the perfect sitcom catchphrase." said Anne.

"Must be painful to make so little sense all the time." said Hop Pop.

Frank climbed out of the water and back onto the patio before he speaks.

"What do you mean we've been robbed?"

Just then, they soon found out as the carnage wrought on the corn fields became evident, finding the entire crops were in deed gone. Marcy was trying her best to sound surprised and concern

"See! Some lowlife no one smuggler stolen are vegetables All our hard work." She exclaims.

"MY PRIZE WINNIN' CORN!" Hop Pop shouted.

"You've won prizes?" Anne asked, putting a hand on her hip

"Yeah. Here I thought you were terrible with food." Sasha smirked.

"That's actually an expression, Anne. They must've been really good if the thief stole them." Frank guessed.

"Yeah. What are you, the fact police?" said Hop Pop in retortion to Anne, only for Sasha to glare at Hop Pop.

"You stay out of this." said Sasha.

"Why would someone robbed your prize corn?" KJ asked looking concerns.

"The injustice! The outrage! We've gotta catch this thief!" Sprig exclaimed.

"Agreed. And it's nice to see you so passionate about produce, Sprig." Hop Pop grinned.

"Yes. Very odd." Polly eyes narrowing on Sprig and Marcy with suspicion.

"If the thief stole once, it'll steal again. The only way to catch this monster is a stakeout." Sprig suggested.

"I like steak."

"That's not what stakeout really means." said Frank.

"Good idea." Hop Pop agrees.

"Okay." Anne added.

"And the only ones who can do it are... Anne, Sasha, and Hop Pop!" said Sprig.

"Say what?" Anne puzzled.

"Huh?" Hop Pop puzzled.

"Not going to happen!" Sasha disagree.

"Well, I obviously can't... because I have the attention span of a..." Sprig trailed off when a small butterfly flew past his head. Distracting him easily. "Oh, look at that."

"Aw, it's beautiful." Marcy smiled and took out her notebook to do a quick drawing of the butterfly.

"Okay, I'm gonna pass on that one." said Sasha.

"Why not Hop Pop and Polly?" Anne asked. "Seems like a winning combo to me."

"Polly's a baby, Anne." replied Hop Pop.

"Just asking, Hop Pop. Ugh." Anne rolled her eyes and handled Polly to KJ.

"(sigh) "Very well. Let's be honest though. Either Sasha or Anne will probably fall asleep and it'll just be me." Hop Pop responded as he went through the fields again.

"Why would we fall asleep first?" Anne asked.

"Yeah, don't you need a nap or something?" Sasha retorts, making Anne laugh.

"Good one, dude!" Anne gave her friend a high-five.

"I'm a crisp 68!" Hop Pop yelled back.

"I think he missed his nap." Sasha teased with a grin.

That only leaves Sprig, Marcy, Frank, KJ, and Polly until the tadpole just realized something as soon as the volunteers are out of earshot.

"You two stole the corn, didn't you?" Polly asked when she gives them a stern look.

"Oh, absolutely. But now those three have to spend the whole night together and bond!" replied Sprig, proudly.

"You did what?!" KJ looked shocked.

"What the heck, dude?!" Frank exclaims.

"Sprig, you can't manipulate people like this!" said Polly.

"I can, and I did. And it's going to save this family." said Sprig with a squint.

"It's not really manipulating. We're just trying to fix things you know, so we can stay together." Marcy explains, but Frank gives her a stern look. "Yeah, it's a little manipulating, but if it helps us to stick together for our friendships strong, then what's the hurt?"

"That's not how it does! Clearly, I argued with Anne and Sasha all the time after we got stranded here." said Frank.

"Oh? And did you guys ever get along after that?" Sprig asked.

"Well, yeah. What's the difference?" Frank rolled his eyes when crossing his arms.

"It kinda reminds me how I watched most movies and TV series where most people can argue sometimes until they apologize for arguing." said Marcy.

"What's a TV?" Polly puzzled.

"We have so much to discuss." replied Marcy.

"Whatever you're planning, was a really, really bad idea." said Frank.

"Oh, trust me. It will work." Sprig assured him.

"(sigh) If only there could be someone's out there who is more loyalty like our friends." KJ sighed.

Meanwhile at the Tormak's hut, Darrel was already awake after got off from the bed. Today is the day as the trio make their way to Wartwood. Having discovered that he gained magical abilities. He never felt more excited in his life. Thanks to his new magical abilities, he has also discovered that Anne is in Amphibia too. And if he's not mistaken, so are the others.

Right now, he had to stick with the original plan. To find Anne and the music box first, then find everyone else. He was very grateful with Tint and Cronaxx teaching him how to control his newfound powers over the last few days.

He listened very carefully, and mesmerized all of their moves and all of their tricks. Now all that's left is to read the spell books to learn more spells. And thanks to the staff, Darrel was able to translate the ancient Salamandrian tongue.

As much as he wanted to learn more spells, today, but the only way to do that was to teleport there magically. Cronaxx and Tint prepare a ritual circle, one that is meant for transporting from one place to another.

"Is everything all set?" Cronaxx asked.

"Yep, I packed everything we needed." replied Tint.

"So, we're about ready to leave?" Darrel asked after packed his stuff together.

"Indeed we are. Stand in the center and call the staff for extra power. We're going to need all the magic we can muster." said Cronaxx.

Darrel calls to the Eternal Staff, closes his eyes, as Cronaxx begins to speak in ancient Salamandrian tongue. They've felt that the magic is getting strong, so they kept a firm stance on the circle. Bright lights filled the room and in their closed eyelids. They could feel the winds blowing on their skins. He had a great feeling that the spell was working. As the winds and lights died down, Darrel opened his eyes to see that they're not in the hut anymore. They have transported to a much more green, swampy environment.

"Did it work? Are we in Wartwood?" Darrel asked.

"Yes Darrel, we made it." replied Tint. "Welcome to Wartwood."

Darrel smiled with glee knowing that he's close to finding his friends. Just then, Cronaxx falls to his knees.

"Cronaxx, are you okay?" Darrel asked when he rush to him.

"I'll be fine, Darrel. I'm just getting too old for teleportation. I'll need rest." replied Cronaxx as he yawns.

"Wartwood is just beyond this forest." Tint points out to a clearing.

Not wanting to waste another second standing around, Darrel decided to carry Cronaxx until he had the strength to walk again. They traveled through the forest until sundown then suddenly, Darrel started thinking about his friends. He takes out his two photos and looks at them with determination.

"Don't worry guys, I'm coming." But as he stared down at the photos, his mind switched between Anne and Sasha. The Staff not only gave him magical abilities, but also gave him a sense of realization.

He looks at Sasha from the photo, only to see that she stayed popular while he stayed quiet. As he shifted his eyes to Anne from the other photo, she reminds him that she was there for him at times when he looks to Sasha for help. Then he realized something where he thought.

"Does Sasha still love me? Or has the attention got the better of her."

Later that evening, Sprig, Marcy, Frank, and KJ were watching the three of them set up their stake out. Polly who is very displeased with Sprig's actions. She knew that he can't force them to get along.

"Mm-hmm." Sprig was humming as he watched form his binoculars before he let out his chuckled. "Just look at 'em. And now to watch the flowers of friendship bloom."

Marcy gave him a high-five, but Sprig hit her with her tongue.

"Yep. Sweet fantasy." She took a jar from her backpack and let the frog salvia dropped inside. Earning a look of confuse from Sprig and Polly. "For science. Now lets see if experiment 1 will work."

"Wait experiment 1? Don't tell me you have another stupid ideas?" Polly deadpanned.

"Yep! experiment 2 is pretending were kidnapped." Marcy smiled and opened up her notebook.

"Experiment 3 s getting them trapped in the forest together." Sprig added.

"Experiment 4-" Marcy was about to speak but Polly interrupted her.

"You can't do this!"

"We're saving the family!" Sprig argues.

"Yeah!" Marcy smiled and wrapped arms around Sprig.

"This is a bad idea." said Frank.

"Definitely." KJ added.

Meanwhile, Anne, Sasha, and Hop Pop were standing guard as they sat on the ground against the brick stump. They've been sitting all day until the night falls when Hop Pop glared at Anne who was reading a book and Sasha was watching videos.

"For goodness' sakes, you two, put that lamp out. We're trying to catch the thief, not scare it away." said Hop Pop.

Anne gives him a quick glare before she blows the candle out, Sasha rolls her eyes and groans as she turned her phone off. Anne yawns when rubbing her eyes

"(chuckled) Had a feeling you wouldn't last." Hop Pop chuckled.

"Worry about yourself. I'll be fine. I just need a little boost is all." Anne assured before she pulled out a sort of red energy drink.

"Wait. Is that...?" Sasha realized something.

"Yup." Anne smirked.

"You saved that this whole time?! Anne, you sly fox!" Sasha gave her a high five.

"Thanks, good thing I've been saving these incase you get thirsty."

"Blam Berry Blitz. The drink that punches you in the face and doesn't stop." Hop Pop read the labels from the bottle before he can speak to them. "Hah! That silly drink won't keep you up! Now, this will keep you up."

out a sort of tankard shaped vessel, that resembles the face of a green grimacing frog with many warts and a tin cover.

"Aah! What is that?" Sasha exclaimed from the sight of the container.

"Ugh! Is that poison?" Anne asked with disgust.

"Mama's old gourd tea recipe. I'm not surprised you don't like the smell. It's way too strong for you." said Hop Pop.

"Ha! No way it's stronger than my Berry Blitz." Anne retorts.

"Well, how about this. If we can switch our drinks, I'll place my money that his drink taste terrible!" Sasha suggested.

Without having second thought, Anne and Hop Pop grabbed for each other drinks.

"Gimme that!"

Hop Pop gargling down the Blam Berry Blitz while Anne took a deep breath before downing the gourd with her groaned.

"Give me that!" Sasha grabbed the drink and down hit, nearly pucking because of the taste.

Hop Pop gasps looking like a fish gasping for air. Anne's whole face freeze in place for she begins coughing. That is until the unlikely trio beginning to laugh. Anne wiped away a tear from her face after she stops laughing.

"You should have seen the look on your face. You were dying!" Anne laughed.

"You looked like death." Sasha nudged him.

"And what about you two? I didn't even know you could turn that color. What, you got chameleon in your blood?" Hop Pop teased before he relaxed himself and began watching the stars.

Anne and Sasha looked up in the skies. No matter how many times Anne sees the night sky, she just feels small and helpless. She wondered if her parents were watching the stars as well and so does her twin brother. It was night like this where she wished she could be in their arms again. Being warm and snuggle up in her own bed.

"You know, sometimes I wonder if I'll ever get home." said Anne.

"We will Anne." Sasha place a hand on her best friend's shoulder. She didn't know if she believed it herself, but here she had to be strong one to keep Anne and the others save. "We'll find away out of this mud hole. I promise you."

"Thanks, Sash."

Hop Pop smiled thinking back to his daughter, his son-in-law, his wife, and his parents. Before he had millions of concern and problems going off in his head all the time. Back when he was just carefree frog without the responsible. Things were simple and easy to understand. He didn't have to go bed worrying where his grandkids next meal will be.

"I know what it's like to miss something, kids. I find myself pining after the good old days way too much." said Hop Pop.

"Yeah. We're kinda similar that way. You're always going on about the old days, I'm always going on about back home." replied Anne.

"Yeah, deep down we're just a couple of softies, ain't we?" Hop Pop chuckled.

There we see Sprig smiling that the plan is working after watching the view.

"It's working. They're...connecting." said Sprig.

"Yeah! We did it!" Marcy raised her arm in the air.

"What do you know. It worked." Frank blinked his eyes.

"Of course, my situation is way worse than yours." Anne chuckled, but Hop Pop dropped his smile and turned into a frown.

"Or not." Frank lowered his eyebrows down.

"Always gotta make it about you, don't you? "I'm Anne, and my life is worse than everyone else's." Hop Pop mocked her.

"Whatever! You're just nostalgic for a simple time that never excited in the first place." Sasha pointed her finger at him with Anne frowning at him.

"Oh, yeah? Well, at least my head isn't a teakettle." Then Anne dropped her glared before she rubbed her eyes. "Wait, what? Sasha are you seeing this?"

"Hmmm... I think so." Sasha stared at the old frog, who's face was now a teakettle.

"Oh, yeah? Well, at least my hair isn't rainbow stardust." Hop Pop shot back, as Anne's hair turned blue and Sasha's hair turned pink.

"What the-" Sasha touched her hair, as the area around turned into wild mix of colors.

"Uh... What?" Hop Pop puzzled.

"Are we tripping? What did you put in that drink!?" Sasha exclaims.

"Nothing. I swear! I don't know what is happening to us?" Hop Pop stepped back.

Anne was having a panicked attacked, but then she saw their drinks.

"Oh. The drinks! Our body chemistry must be so different that we're having crazy reactions to each other's extreme beverage. That was the smartest-sounding thing I've ever said." Anne realized it.

"This is terrible! I never shoulda let you trick me into trying something new!" Hop Pop shouted as his teakettle head whistled.

"Oh, yeah? Well, your gross old mama's tea did this to us!" Sasha glared back at him.

Back in the house, Sprig and Marcy were watching them fighting again. He started to grew worried since his plan is not working.

"No, no! This can't be! They're fighting again." Sprig frantic.

"Oh, no. What a surprise." Polly spoke in a slight deadpan.

"I told you this is a bad idea." said Frank, pinching his bridge nose.

"Okay, okay. No problem. We can try another tomorrow." said Marcy.

"We don't have time. We'll just have to take matters into our own hands." Sprig suggested before he rushed into his closet.

"Wait, you don't mean..." Polly gasps as she watched her brother putting on a dark cape with and a spooky hat.

"Oh, that's right, Polly. I'm going to steal more corn right under their noses. They'll have to do this again tomorrow, and the next night, and the next night, until they're the bestest friends who were ever friends, and then the family will be saved!" He gave a sinister chuckled.

"Uh, is that too much to ask?" KJ asked when feeling unease a bit.

"You're mad!" Polly exclaimed.

"Try and stop me! Ha-ha!" Sprig jumped out the window by going backward.

"Oh, boy." Polly groan.

"Maybe this wasn't such a good idea." said Marcy having her second thought.

"We didn't make you drink my Berry Blitz." Anne retorted.

"Well, you grabbed for my tea first." Hop Pop poked her chest.

"This wasn't our fault." Sasha argues.

"Well, it sure wasn't mine."

But suddenly, they heard some rustling coming from nearby, causing them to stop fighting to see what it was. They gasped and turned to each other as they realized something. This can only mean one thing.

"The corn thief!"

It turns out that the corn thief was actually Sprig who was about to steal some corn, but until Polly tackled him to the ground.

"Stop this madness!" Polly shouted.

"Aah! Let go!" Sprig struggled to fight off Polly.

"You've lost your mind!"

"A small price for saving this family!"

"Please, Polly. We have to do this." Marcy pleaded after she approached to them.

She had to keep this friendship together. She didn't risk everything just to be left alone. Not after what happened when she runs away from home. Frank and KJ are the only persons are sitting there and watching them struggling.

"Uh, should help them?" KJ asked.

"Nah, I'm they'll be alright."

Just then, Anne, Sasha, and Hop Pop just burst out from the crops.

"Hey!" Hop Pop shouted.

"Stop right there, you-you... thief? Huh?" Anne rubbed her arms until she sees the thief turned into a sort of Corn Monster, which roared with laughter, making them scream in fright before the monster then breathing green fire around the trio, creating a green ring of fire.

"The corn thief! And it's the scariest thing I've ever seen!" Hop Pop shouted.

"Finally something we agree on." Sasha smirked.

"We've got to take this thing down. Are you with me?"

"Till the end." Anne smiled.

"Guess we e have no other choice." Sasha added as she comes to agree with him.

"Then let's do this!" said Hop Pop, before all three jumped up in the air, avoiding another fire breath.

"Teakettle beam, fire!" Hop Pop shot a beam of energy from his hands.

"Rainbow magic!" Anne yelled.

"Super sonic boom!" Sasha shouted as she fired the blast before both blasts combined, taking the "monster" by surprise before it hit.

But when the dust cleared, the beast was still there and completely unharmed. laughing sinisterly at that.

"Our attacks have no effect!" Anne exclaims.

"But we can't give up so easily." said Hop Pop.

"Right!" Sasha nodded.

Back to reality, little did they know that they were not firing any blasts at the "monster" which were actually Marcy, Sprig, and Polly. They were all staring at the three of them that were imitating lasers firing like kids doing their own imagination.

"Well, they're broken." said Polly.

Out from the view, Frank was recording on his phone just to see them imitating while he was laughing.

"Oh ho, man! This is so embarrassing!" Frank laughed.

"Heh, that was kinda funny." KJ chuckled.

"It must be immune to magic." Hop Pop looked at his hands.

"Quick! Grab those power-ups!" Anne pointed her finger.

"Power-ups?" Sprig puzzled.

But then, it happened. Anne, Sasha, and Hop Pop grabbed a pitchfork, a sickle, and a scythe that Frank used, which frightened Marcy, Sprig, and Polly enough to scream with the former running.

"AAAHHH!" Sprig screams.

"Run, run, run!" Polly shouted.

Frank and KJ went into shocked like things were getting out of hand.

"Oh, crud." Frank muttered when shocked.

Anne, Sasha, and Hop Pop gave chase after the three until Sprig tripped on a husk of corn, causing him and Polly to roll toward the door with her rolling off of him. Marcy tripped over the corn as well and crawls backward against the wall just as Sprig noticed Anne, Sasha, and Hop Pop roaring as they got closer and cornered him. Sasha placing Frank's scythe at hiss neck.

"No, no, no, no, no, no, no!" Sprig shouted before he hugged Marcy. "Anne, Sasha, Hop Pop, it's me! I've learned my lesson. I promise-"

"We're sorry!" Marcy pleaded.

"I'll never manipulate people-" The monster pleaded before it distorted voice was begin to sound familiar.

"Uh, does the corn thief kinda sound like Sprig to you?" Anne looked puzzled.

"Now that you mention it." replied Hop Pop.

"Wait, hold on..." Sasha was rubbing her eyes until she sees the monster slowly turned back into Sprig and Marcy that were crying and hugging each other.

"Don't kill us! Please!" Sprig sobbed.

"Huh? What?"

They were puzzled at first until the hallucination stopped and everything turns back to normal.

"Uh, wai- Wha- None of that was real?" Hop Pop was puzzled after rubbing his eyes. "But it was so terrifying!"

"Don't kill me! Please!" Sprig sobbed.

"We're sorry! We're just trying to get you to stop fighting."" Marcy cried.

"Marcy?!" Sasha exclaims before she dropped the scythe and then went to hug her. "I am so sorry for scaring you like this. I had no idea it was you."

Frank and KJ just went sighed with relief.

"I thought we were goners." said Hop Pop, rubbing his head.

"Me too. And you... defended us." Anne smiled at him.

"Wait, us?" Sasha blinked.

"And you two stood by my side." said Hop Pop.

She leaned down to place her hand on Hop Pop's shoulder and gave him a smile. She knew that she and Hop Pop will still have there differences, but in the end, she know when it counts.

"You know, Hop Pop, back home we call that having a friend's back." said Anne.

"Well, back in my day we called it "pulling a Stinky McGuire." But if you don't know Stinky, the saying don't mean much, so let's just stick with yours." replied Hop Pop before the two of them let out their soft laugh. "Boy, I'm tir-"

Just then, Hop Pop fell asleep. Sasha looked at him sleeping. She's been thinking that Anne has a heart talk to him after all they've been through. But between Sasha and Hop Pop, she always argue sometimes and telling him that he's not her only parent. She sees him when he treats her like a child. Why can't she learned to get along like she used to be? Then she turns her head at Marcy when she's calmed down.

"Hey, it's gonna be okay. The hallucination is over." said Sasha, soothing her.

"B-but we robbed the corns." Marcy wiped her tears.

"What? Marcy, why on Earth would you do that?"

"(sniff) Because...Sprig thought that if you three fought a lot, t-then our friendship will torn apart."

"Oh, Marcy. We would never torn our friendship. You're our best friend. No matter what." Sasha hugged her.

"We forgive you." Anne added after hearing things.

Marcy grew her small smile before she hugged Sasha back. Then Frank and KJ approached next to them, just in time to see that Anne and Sasha can easily forgive her.

"Wow, girls. That was very deep." said KJ.

"Well, speaking of tired, I feel like I could use some rest. But first..." Frank paused before his stomach growls. "Who's hungry?"

"We do!" The kids said together at once.

Meanwhile, Darrel, Tint, and Cronaxx were halfway there to Wartwood. As the night grew darker, and the mushrooms glow from the roots of the trees, Darrel decided to let off some emotional steam.

While thinking about Anne, he reflects on all the good times they had together. Some of these feelings may feel confusing, but whatever it was, he felt like he had to get it out of the open. So while they stopped at a tree, Darrel took out his pocket knife and carved something on the root.

"What are you doing, Darrel?" Tint asked.

"Illustrating different feelings, Tint." replied Darrel.

He watches him carve initials D+A inside a heart.

"Does the A stand for Anne? I thought Sasha was your girlfriend." Tint asked.

"Yes. I don't know if it's just a fling, or an eye opener. I just want to know if I'm doing the right thing." Darrel explains.

"Wisdom knows that relationships can change over time, courage knows when it's time to change the relationship." said Cronaxx.

Darrel didn't know what to say after that, but only to smile before he finishes his carving. Then he got up and walks off along with the Salamanders, leaving his carve initials. Later on, they have finally arrived at the Gates of Wartwood.

"Well, here we are. Wartwood." Cronaxx announced.

As they have entered, some folks like Mrs. Croaker and Loggle's attention, thinking them like an outsiders.

"Great, just what we need. More outsiders." Sadie mumbled.

Darrel ignores that comment. He's fully aware what outsider means. Just then, Tint's stomach started to growl as they stopped walking.

"Welp, guess I'm pretty hungry." said Tint.

"Me too, buddy. Why don't we look for a restaurant like that one?" Darrel pointed at a place called Stumpy's Diner.

"Great idea, Darrel." Cronaxx agrees.

"Let's eat!" Tint chimes.

Then they have entered the diner, with only a few patrons hanging out and it was a bit messier like from Earth's diner before it was remodeled.

"Yeesh! What a mess." Tint commented.

"Now, Tint. Show some respect." said Cronaxx.

"Sorry."

As they sat down at the table until Stumpy, a big frog came in and gave them slop. He's wearing a chef hat, white shirt, stained with grease and other stains. He possesses an interchangeable hand, usually with a spatula in it. One of his legs is missing and has been replaced with a piece of wood.

"Enjoy, or don't, doesn't matter to me." said Stumpy in a monotone before he walked off.

"Poor guy, it's like he and this place lost its passion." Tint frowns.

"Well we can't magically give it back to him. There are things that people have to find within themselves." said Cronaxx.

Darrel couldn't help, but thinking about Stumpy how he's in a bad taste along with his restaurant. Then all of sudden, he came up with an idea.

"You know, whenever my friends or my family feel a bit down. I always cheer them up with singing and dancing. My strongest passion is music after all." said Darrel.

"Is that so? Tint here is an expert with the flute." Cronaxx smiled.

"Way ahead of you." Tint takes out his flute as Darrel's staff starts glowing blue.

"Everyone! A toast, to the world of Amphibia." said Darrel as he takes his mug in the air for a toast.

As the frog patrons look with curiosity or fear, the staff begins to glow brighter with music notes as Tint plays the first note.

(Toast to Amphibia - Darrel Loyalitat)

Darrel: We met many days ago, upon a muddy road

You a humble mage, and me I'm just a rogue

I was the weakest of the weak, the lowest of the low

But when we journey together, this legend will grow

(Darrel takes the staff in his hands and stomps it in rhythm. In doing so, the frogs do as well. Stumpy looks puzzled at first until his only is tapping before he smiles.)

Darrel: We'll journey our way from Blackrock Spire to Moulton Core

Take 40 hours in Ragnaros and only now want more

My days of being weak are firmly in the past

And now my shield is stronger, my bonds are built to last!

(This got Wally's attention as he smiles before he takes out his accordion and dances with Darrel and Tint. His hands produce light in many colors, like the ones in a dance club. He smiles and continues his jamboree.)

Darrel: So whether you are a salamander or if you are a frog,

It's time to toast to Amphibia, so everyone raise your mug!

No enemy can defeat us, there's no battle we can't win.

When we crunch the numbers, stand together and...

(Then Stumpy comes out from the kitchen, he watched in the dining room and climbed on his bar stand.)

Stumpy: STUMPY! STAGE DIVE!

(Stumpy performs a stage dive and Darrel catches him with his levitation spell. The whole crowds enjoyed the performance, and it caught some folks attention until it was all packed, even Toadstool and Toadie were entertained.)

"My, what a delightful performance!" said Mayor Toadstool.

"I don't know what it is sir, but I love it!" Toadie agrees.

Back from the outside of the restaurant, Hop Pop took all of the kids with him after he woke up from his slumber. They've been so hungry since he and the girls were on the lookout for the corn thief until they realized that it was Sprig all along, but at least they forgive each other. Once they've arrived, they heard somethings going on from the inside.

"Hey, do you hear that?" KJ asked.

"Sounds like a music." replied Frank.

"Yeah, let's check it out." Anne suggested.

"Well, as long as there isn't any loud music." said Hop Pop.

As the group have entered Stumpy's Diner, they looked surprised and feeling quite fascinated.

"Whoa! Nelly!" Sprig surprised.

"Wow! Look at all the pretty lights." Marcy astonishes.

"Stay close kids." Hop Pop ushered until he spotted Tint playing. "Ah, a salamander mage."

"(gasp) A mage?! Like a wizard?! Here?!" Marcy smiles.

"Really?! Cool!" KJ chimes.

"It looks like he's not alone." said Anne as she looks to see a figure in a blue cloak, but couldn't see who it was as the song came close to an end.

Darrel: I have a little news for you, it's something of a treat.

Are you ready to travel Amphibia on your own two feet?

We're going down to places where anything can hurt ya!

So Polish your shield, sharpen your axe, we're going back to Vanilla!

(Music Ends)

The performance was a success. All the citizens of Wartwood came together, either they really liked their performance, or they were entranced by their magical abilities. Either way, the three had to wrap it up before they could cause any more rukkus across the valley.

"Alright, simmer down. Simmer down, now. As much as the people of Wartwood liked your performance, I would advise you keep this to a minimum. People are about ready to sleep around here." said Mayor Toadstool.

"I promise you, Mr. Mayor, it won't happen again. I'll keep a close watch on these two youngsters." replied Cronaxx.

"Yeah, this is a one time thing. We'll be on our way now." Darrel agrees. "I gotta say, Cronaxx, That was nothing compared to the videos I've created before. Those were real life special effects."

Then suddenly, a voice was heard.

"Darrel?"

recognized the voice and was shocked that he dropped his staff. He turns around to see Anne and her friends right in front of him. He removed his hood to get a better look. The six friends were shocked.

"Anne? Guys?"

Anne, Sasha, Marcy, Frank, and KJ were filled with relief and excitement.

"DARREL!"

"GUYS!" Darrel was cheerful, he found his friends. All five of them.

Anne suddenly lunged at Darrel and almost fell to the ground. Luckily, his footing was in the right place and caught himself as they swung around, laughing. Sasha and Marcy were giggling as they rushed to him to give him a hug while KJ jumps in.

"BABE!" Sasha smiles.

"Hey, Sash!" Darrel looked so happy to her.

"Dude!" KJ laughs with joy.

"Darrel? Is that really you?" Marcy asked when smiling.

"Of course it's me, my dungeon buddy!" replied Darrel.

"Oh My Gosh! I can't believe it! You're here too?!" Anne asked when fully happy to see him.

"You? Me? Here!?" Darrel was loss for a word.

"We know, we know. We missed you so much." KJ hugged him so tight.

"Oh, I missed you too." Darrel accepted his hug until they all releases their embrace. "What are you all doing here?"

"I wasn't sure. I woke up, I was all alone, and... Is Andy and Ivan with you? Tyler and Ethan? Where have you been?" Anne asked.

Before Darrel could even have a chance to talk, but Anne hugs him again.

"I missed you so much!" said Anne before letting out her small tears of joy.

"I missed you too, Anne! You have no idea what's happened to me the past few days!" Darrel returned her hug.

The Plantars watched over with joy and happiness.

"Aw!" Polly smiles at them.

"Well, what do ya know." said Hop Pop, smiling at them.

Darrel released his warm hug again, just to see Frank that was staring at him smiling with his arms crossed.

"Hey, Darrel." Frank greeted.

"Frank?" Darrel looked surprised at first. "You looked...defensive?"

"Well, it's been a long day."

Darrel knew him well, but seeing him with his friends after the stunt they've pulled. He was expecting to have some lecture, but instead Frank tipped his cap to him with respect.

"Good to see you, buddy." said Frank.

"It's good to see you too." replied Darrel with relief and gave him a quick hug much to Anne and Marcy's delighted. "So this is where you've been, all this time?"

"Yep! Well, me and KJ were separated from the others. It took us a week to adapt until we found Sasha, then Frank has found us after killing that praying mantis, and now he led us to Anne who was found by the Plantars. Can you believe that?" Marcy smiles as the girl explain to him.

"Huh, I'll be darned." Darrel looked impressed.

"So Anne, who's your friend?" Hop Pop asked when Darrel noticed something.

"You guys, meet Darrel." Anne introduced the Plantars to Darrel.

"Oh guys, there's someone I like you to meet. These two are the Salamander wizards. They found me out in the wilderness when I was lost." said Darrel as he introduce his friends to the Salamanders.

"Salamanders? Oh my gosh, are you two salamander mages?" Marcy exclaimed.

"Indeed. My name is Cronaxx, this young fellow is my great nephew, Tint Tormak." said Cronaxx.

"So you go around all Amphibia, training by his side?" Marcy asked.

"Of course." Tint nodded.

"I'm Marcy, and these are our friends. Anne, Sasha, Frank, and KJ." Marcy introduce herself and to her friends.

"Nice to meet you. Darrel, Salamanders, meet the Plantars. Here's Hop-pop, Polly, and Sprig." said Anne.

"Hello there." Hop Pop greeted.

"Sup?" Polly added.

"Hey there, I'm Anne's best friend too." Sprig smiles just as Darrel takes a knee and offers Sprig a handshake.

"Well any friend of Anne, is a friend of mine. Put 'er there, pal." said Darrel as he shake hands with Sprig.

"Nice to meet you, Tint." KJ shake his hands with Tint.

"You too, but what's KJ stands for?" Tint asked curious.

"Kenji."

"Ah, gotcha."

"Hey um, hate to break the introduction. Should we have order food to go?" Sasha asked when it's getting late.

"(yawns) It's getting late, we should get some rest." Cronaxx suggested.

"That's probably a good idea. We just ate dinner already." Frank agrees.

"Hey, you guys can come with us to the Plantar's farm." said Anne.

"Woah, hold on Anne. We run a farm, not bed and breakfast. We may not have any more room for these three." Hop Pop looked concerns a bit.

"What about Bessie's Stable? There's plenty of room there." Sprig came up with an idea.

"I'm cool with it since KJ and I were bunking at the stable." said Frank.

"Yeah, it's probably easiest ways when the boys bunk in the barn while me and the girls are sleeping in the basement." Sasha agrees.

"I'll take anything that's a roof over my head." Darrel shrugged.

"If you let us stay, we'll gladly help around the farm. You don't even need to pay us. All we ask for is shelter. Deal?" said Cronaxx.

Hop-pop was reluctant at that point, but he eventually shook his hand.

"Okay, but you're responsible for your human." said Hop Pop.

"I can handle myself Hop Pop, you don't have to worry about me." replied Darrel.

And so, they all exit out from the diner, just as the human teens explains everything to Darrel how they've been living in a frog world for weeks. Just then, Polly was on Sprig's head so that she can speak to him.

"Wow, Sprig, I owe you an apology. Your dumb ol' plan actually kinda worked." said Polly.

"Thanks, Polly, but maybe next time we do it your way." replied Sprig.

It won't be that long as they have arrived at the Plantar's farm. Darrel and the Salamanders settled in Bessie's barn with Frank and KJ. Inside the barn, it showed Bessie sleeping inside of her shell as the 12 year old boy already explain this to Darrel about their life going on. Darrel was very grateful to Frank after telling him that he was always there to protect Anne from dangerous creatures.

As they set up their sleeping equipment near the haystacks, Frank and KJ were helping Tint and Cronaxx to unpacked their stuff while Darrel walked outside to see the Plantar's farm. The crops looked fresh and the view of the land was breathtaking. Suddenly, Darrel hears a knock on one of the windows leading to the basement.

"Anne?"

"Darrel, come on in." Anne opens up the window, smiling.

Darrel crawls in through the window and sits down on a crate. Sasha and Marcy were smiling that he was here, all this time.

"I can't believe I found you, guys. I knew you would be here." said Darrel.

"How do you know?" Anne smiled, but was confused.

"Wait, is that a real magic staff?!" Marcy asked.

"Yes it is Marcy. This is the Eternal Staff. I found it in the wilderness with the salamanders. Watch this." Darrel knew that Marcy would flip with what he's about to do next.

At that moment, he takes a glance at a barrel full of water and he performs hydrokinesis in front of these girls. Anne and Sasha watched in shock and amazement, Marcy was at a loss for words.

"No way!" Sasha looks awestruck.

"How else can a wizard know these things?" Darrel asked.

"You can perform magic!" Anne exclaimed.

"OH MY GOD! You can perform MAGIC?! That is so DOPE! Now we can play Creatures and Caverns in real life! Think you can do that?" Marcy asked when fully excited.

"Indeed I can, but I don't think I have the power to transport us back home. So far, our only option is that music box. Do you still have it?" Darrel asked.

Anne pulls out the music box from her backpack to show this to him.

"I do, but it's not working. Think it's busted." Anne answered.

Darrel gets a good glance at the box. She opens it to reveal nothing happening, and then Darrel was curious to see that the six gems loses their colors.

"Strange, but the colors were turned grey. Does the Plantars know about this?" Darrel asked.

"No." Anne shook her head.

"What about the wizards? Did you tell them?" Sasha asked.

"Yes, I thought if I could show them the box, then Cronaxx may have an idea what we're dealing with. But, if you want to wait until we can trust everyone, we'll keep it hidden until the time is right." said Darrel.

"That's sounds like great idea." Marcy agrees.

"Thanks, Darrel." Anne thanked him.

Darrel smiled back until Hop Pop opens the hatches just to remind the four of them.

"C'mon kids, bedtime." said Hop Pop.

"Okay, Hop Pop." replied Darrel before the eldest frog closes the hatch door. Then he looked at the girls. "I'll see you in the morning."

Just as Darrel got up, Anne hugged Darrel in a firm grip.

"I'm so glad you're here with me." said Anne.

"Me too. I'm so glad I found you first." Darrel returned her hug.

Marcy couldn't help, but smiling at these two. However, Sasha slowly frowns that Darrel is hugging Anne instead of her. She slowly started to reconsider how she treated him back then. Once Darrel let go of his embrace with Anne, but he sees Sasha's frowning.

"Hey, you okay Sasha?" Darrel asked.

"Hm? Oh, it was nothing." Sasha rubbed her hand in the back of her head.

"Okay. Well, goodnight girls." said Darrel.

"Goodnight, Darrel." replied Anne.

"Sleep tight." Sasha added.

"Don't let the bed bugs bite." Marcy chimes.

He smiles back at the girls before he gets out of the basement and makes his way back to Bessie's Barn. As he got inside, he could tell that the boys and the salamanders were already fast asleep. He lies down next in between Tint and KJ, and then looks to the stars as the shooting star just passed until he falls asleep.

"I'm so happy we're together again. She has always been there for me."

Reunion at last, but there's only five more kids left to find them. If you're wandering where this songs comes from where I looked up, it's called "A Toast to 15 Years" that was sung by Pixel Pirates for World of Warcraft. Hope you enjoyed reading and I'll resume some other fanfics where I left off. Stay tuned for the next chapter!
