Hi, again! Welcome back to the newest chapter! Just a heads up, I decided to skip doing a spin on So the Dramatic Prom Night because, well..there was nothing I could edit or change or even try to put my own spin on it, it's so perfect as it is! The way my best buddy I.M. Rally wrote it is so perfect and romantic, even if I try, it wouldn't even come close to that mastery of a chapter! So, imagine all the events that have happened in that chapter have happened already, and for anyone who wants to imagine how Sid would be in that chapter, that's left up to your imagination. Disclaimer- I don't own Trolls or Trollstopia in any way, size, or form. Melody Song, Mal Shredder, Stereo, Twilight Tidepool, McJagger, Buckaroo, and now finally, Sid Scales are my O.C.s and belong to me. Aggie and her family members on her mother's side, her father's side, her parents, cousins, siblings, and all other MMTs belong to I.M. Rally. Now, let's get right to it!
Poppy and Branch: You can do it solo!
Aggie and Trollex: But then you'd be all by yourself.
Stereo and Synth: (Synth: Yo!) So, it'd be more fun to share this one with someone else! (Tiny Diamond: Hit it, daddy!)
Rhythm, Blues, Quincy, Essence: Together, we will soar across the sky and beyond! (Prince D: To the great beyond!)
Holly Darling, Buckaroo, Delta Dawn: So, tune-up your voice!
Val Thundershock, Barb, and Melody Song: Stand up and sing along!
All: All different voices (Tiny Diamond: Everybody now!), our melodies ringing. We're living in harmony! Yeah, we're living in harmony! Our song is much stronger will every troll singing. We're living in harmony!
Wing' It Like Trolls
"How do I always get roped into these situations"?!
That comment was exclaimed by Branch, who was currently outside of the condo, sitting in the seat of a cannon that set directly upwards, wearing a helmet for safety reasons, shaking in dread of what was gonna happen, with Rhythm, Blues, and McJagger surrounding it and set to take notes.
"Come on, dude. We made a deal, remember," Sid commented, saying while watching from a distance, "I wore a tuxedo for one night in exchange of you taking my place for this."
"I wouldn't have made that deal if it involved me getting shot out of a giant cannon," Branch shouted back.
"Don't worry, King Branch. This experiment is just to see if it's possible for us to produce enough projectionn force-," Rhythm started to say.
"To be able to get a Troll up the ceiling of Harmonious Land," Blues added.
"And we've stocked the ground with plenty of safety cushions for you to land on once you descend back down," McJagger added while gesturing to the array of safety cushions liad out on the ground around them.
Branch gulped nervously as he got into position inside the cannon.
"Ok, B, McJ, are we set to launch it," Rhythm asked her friends.
"Angle of the cannon is at a perfect 90 degrees, the complusion of the projectile function is at 99.99% functionary, and the power in the spring has been reeled back to about 189 Funk Hertz," McJahher commented while looking at the data on his notepad.
"We are go for launch," Blues declared.
"3...2...1," Rhythm counts down before she pressed a button on her remote that shot Branch up high into the air, the Pop king shouting while he flew IP and up and up and UP!
At that moment, Trollzart had just came out, with Dante and Minuet following the Classical leader, and saw Branch up in the air.
"Uh, pray tell: why is Branch trying to fly," Dante asked curiously.
"I think he might've gone up to the air by that contraption," Minuet pointed out while pointing to the cannon.
Up in the air, Branch kept flying up until he got very close to the ceiling of Harmonious Land, and touched it with his finger before he started to fall back to Earth, shouting.
Trollzart saw this and quickly flew up, catching Branch and helping to carry him back to the ground.
Branch, seeing he was being lowered a lot slower and was being helped by the Normal Classical Troll leader, smiled, saying, "Thanks a lot, Trollzart."
"Ah, tis no problem, Branch. Anything for a friend in need," Trollzart happily replied before asking, "though, what are you doing up here"?
"Well, if you want to know," Branch answered calmly before frowning and pointing to Sid, "Ask him."
"Branch was just helping me test the "flying fool" theory," Sid commented, chuckling at the joke he made to himself.
Once Branch was brought back to the ground, the group suddenly heard a voice shout, "Guys"!
It turned out to be Trollex, Synth, the Snack Pack, the rest of the leaders, ambassadors, delegates, and associates, with Melody saying while bringing her laptop, "Guys, that video I posted of Aggie standing up to her Great Aunt Elsa about her romance for Trollex yesterday has gone viral! Everyone on FunTube and all over social media are talking about it"!
Everyone gathered to see the video, with Val saying, "So that's what you were doing yesterday while we left"!
"Look at all those comments, yo," Synth commented happily.
"There are some negative ones that still say that they think their relationship is strange, but a lot of the comments so far have been positive, saying that it was impressive seeing Aggie standing up for herself and Trollex," Demo mentioned.
"How did y'all even get that there footage, Melody," Gust commented.
"While Aggie was laying it into her relative, I recorded it on my laptop and then uploaded the video when we left to go to prom," Melody answered.
"Smart move, Mel," Blues commented, with rhythm adding, "I think seeing how Aggie defended her relationship with Trollex was what made a lot of MMTs inside the school change their minds about seeing Aggie and Trollex together as a couple."
"I'm just happy that even after everything that happened, Aggie and I are still together, and our love is as strong as ever," Trollex commented, blushing happily, thinking about his girlfriend.
"Ooh," the group said in awe.
"Aggie ayn' Trollex, sittin' in ayy tree," Holly stated playfully.
"K-I-S-S-S-S-I-N-G," Buckaroo added.
"Uh, note: there is only two S's in kissing, not 4," Laguna pointed out curiously.
"Not if it's for a long time," Legsley replied, making the group giggle, including Trollex, who felt his blush increased.
Smidge then looked around, wondering, "Speaking of kissing, where's Aggie? She usually comes out and greets Trollex with a kiss."
"Oh, she went to her Aunt Encarnacion's house to train a bit with her Earth magic," Guy Diamond answered, adding, "Something about her aunt wanting to teach her a new skill."
"Why don't we go over there and visit her and see how she's doing," Smidge suggested.
Suddenly, a loud shout declared, "Heads up"!
Trollzart turned his head, and the last thing he saw was a golden ball with dark tan pentagons heading right toward him, hitting him straight in the face, and knocking him out.
A few minutes later...
Trollzart woke up, groaning while holding his head, saying, "What happened"?
When his vision recovered, he saw his friends looking down at him, with Dante asking, "Maestro! Are you alright"?
Trollzart sat up, groaning a bit before saying, "Aside from a minor headache, I didn't sustain any major injuries."
Trollzart then saw the ball that had hit him and picked it up, asking, "What is this"?
The same voice that had called towards him to watch out for the ball earlier replied, with an MMT approaching him, saying, "Sorry, I kicked it over here by mistake."
It turned out to have come from a female Magic Rock with pale red skin, jagged pointy ears, chin-length hair with a ponytail pulling the front hair out of her face that was two-toned, comprised of shades of blue with purple lavender hair (her natural hair color) visible at the roots. She was wearing a gray tunic with a dark gray belt, light grey cowl, and matching dark gray boots, and her sleeves and leggings were green. The rest of her attire included triangle-shaped black earrings, and she even wore some light red nail polish.
Everyone looked at her curiously, with Biggie being the first to speak up, saying, "Hi there! Nice to meet you, Ms..."
The Magic Rock Troll replied, "The name's Calamity, Calamity Bright."
"Well, nice to meet you, Claamity. What brings you 'round here," Low-Note Jones asked curiously.
Calamity answered as Trollzart gave her the ball, "Well, I was just running some Grudgby drills, and I kicked the ball a bit too hard and sent it flying, so, I followed after it...and watched it hit your friend here."
"Well, no harm done," Trollzart said while flying back up, adding, "All is easily forgiven, Ms. Bright."
"And judging by how fast the ball was going, you must be pretty good at this "Grudgby" sport," Minuet commented.
"Sort of," Calamity replied before saying, "Our school's having a Grudgby match later if you Normal Trolls want to come watch."
That made everyone intrigued, as Holly commented, "Whel, hot dang! Count us in ta watch it"!
"We don't have anything scheduled today, so, yeah! We can certainly come watch this game," McJagger stated.
"Great; I'll see you guys later," Calamity said before she started to walk away.
"Awesome! We're gonna watch a Grudgby match," Val exclaimed excitedly.
"Let's go tell Aggie," DJ Suki commented as everyone started heading to the bus stop at Aggie's maternal relatives' house.
At the Mondejar household, Aggie was in the backyard, doing some training with her Aunt Anunciacion. She was wearing a blindfold around her eyes, making it hard to see, and standing in the middle of the yard.
"Remembuurr, Aggie," her Aunt Anunciacion stated, adding, "If y'all want ta get bettuurr at usin' y'all earth magic, y'all need ta learn that ya ken't just do earth magic by seein' things. It's also ayy crucial thing ta use the powuurr ov earth in othuurr ways, such as bein' able ta defend yourself, ayn' launch as ayy weapon. Ayn' ta do that, y'all need ta learn how ta sense ayn' feel the vibrashuns ov what's happenin' on the earth, when someone's steppin' on it, if someone's runnin' etc."
"Ok, ay get what y'all are sayin', but how do ay do that," Aggie asked her aunt curiously.
"Use your hoof, ayn' your foot, ayn' get ayy feel ov the vibrashuns around ya. Then, once y'all feel laake ya sense somethin', give your foot, aw hoof, ayy stomp, ayn' let ayy Earth pillar rise," Anunciacion answered.
Aggie nodded and first tried rubbing her Funk foot on the ground slowly but didn't get anything at first. When she tried again with her hoof, she suddenly felt the vibrations of the ground, and it made her jump back a bit, saying, "Ay felt somethin'"!
"Naw worries, it's just the vibrashuns y'all are feelin'. Let it become ayy part ov you so it didn't startle you as much," Anunciacion instructed.
Aggie focused on what her aunt advised her and allowed the vibrations to become almost like a part of her as she felt them with her hoof. She focused on the vibrations that flowed through her body as it began to help her build a picture in her mind that let her see the vibrations in the ground.
To you and me, the ground would seem just like the ground. But to Aggie, every time she moved her hoof on the ground, she could see white vibrations be sent into the ground, which acted similar to echolocation, or a sonar ray, and it let Aggie be able to sense the things and people around her, without even needing to use her eyes to see. She could tell what was standing in front of her, behind her, etc., what Trolls were near her, and even sense if something was approaching her or coming up to her.
At the same time this was happening, the Normal Trolls had entered the house and came into the backyard to see Aggie and watch her training.
But at that moment, Aggie sensed something was coming from behind her and stomped her hoof, making an Earth pillar rise.
To their shock, it ended up emerging under Buckaroo, who shouted while being lifted up.
"I hit something," Aggie exclaimed as she took off her blindfold to see what, or who, she had hit, and saw her friends standing there, saying, "Hey, guys! Did you see what I hit"?
"Yeah, we did. Look up," Essence commented while everyone was looking up.
Aggie looked up and saw Buckaroo standing on top of the Earth pillar, who exclaimed, "Wow, y'all! Y'all ken see ever'thing from up here"!
"Buckaroo! Are y'all ok," Holly called out to her best friend.
"You're not hurt, are you," Quincy added.
"Ay'm doin' alraheet, y'all! But...maybe help me get down? Country Trolls ain't used ta bein' up so haagh," Buckaroo replied back.
"On it," Aggie said while stomping her hoof and making a few more stone pillars so Buckaroo could climb down it like stairs.
"Great job, Aggie, but maybe next taame, try ta avoid aimin' them pillars at your friends," Anunciacion advised.
Aggie faced her aunt, saying, "I'll try, but it's hard ta really know who, aw what, ay'm aimin' my earth pillars at because ay ken't tell who's who aw what's what based on what ay'm feelin' at the ground."
"Nothin' ayy lil' mawe trainin' ken't fix, but faw now, let's try something else: ayy movin' target," Anunciacion commented, adding, "Imagine y'all need ta make ayy earth pillar whaale somethin' aw someone is movin' 'round ya. If y'all want ta form it in taame, ya need ta taame it just raheet, ayn' know just where ta focus your aim."
Anunciacion then faced the Normal Trolls, saying, "Any ov y'all want ta volunteer"?
"I will," Trollex said while raising his hand.
"Are you sure, Trollex," Branch asked the Techno king curiously?
"Yeah, I'm sure. Anything to help my girlfriend out," Trollex replied happily, which made Aggie blush happily.
Then, Trollex proceeded to run around Aggie as Aggie placed her blindfold on and focused on trying to sense her boyfriend's movements and predict, with sheer focus, where he would show up or where he would approach next.
She rubbed her hoof and sensed the vibrations in the ground, and at the moment she sensed Trollex, she stomped her hoof and made an earth pillar appear right in front of the Techno king, causing Trollex to skid to a stop and try to run the other way, before another earth pillar appeared from behind, catching him in between them.
The appearance of both earth pillars caused Trollex to jump back in surprise, landing on his bottom, before Aggie took her blindfold off and flew over to Trollex, helping him up. Aggie giggled, saying, "How'd I do"?
"Marvelously," Trollex commented in reply, giving Aggie a kiss on the nose, causing him to blush.
"Awwwwww," everyone said in awe.
"Well done, Aggie! Y'all keep workin' at it, ayn' you'll get ta learn mawe ov the many marvels ov earth magic in naw taame," Anunciacion commented while praising her niece
"Hey, Aggie, if you're done with your training, we got invited to watch a Grudgby game at your school! Want to come with us," Poppy asked the colorful MMT.
Aggie gasped happily, saying, "A Grudgby game?! Yeah"!
"Wow, you sure seem to be a fan of the sport," Val commented with a chuckle.
"Grudgby is a really fun game to watch! You guys are gonna love it," Aggie commented happily before she turned around and asked her Aunt Anunciacion, "Aunt Anunciacion, ken we take ayy break"?
Anunciacion tipped her hat while saying, "Sure thing, Aggie. Y'all go have fun at the game."
Aggie hugged her aunt while saying, "Thank you," before she left with the Normal Trolls following her.
At Cabatwand Comprehensive High School, all of the students and faculty members who came to watch the game were gathering out onto the field outside, finding their seats by the bleachers, with many of the students holding and shaking pompoms, some of them had facepaint on, and some of them were either holding posters supporting their school's team. On the field, there were MMTs dressed in cheerleading uniforms, excited to put on their cheer routines, while a male Magic Pop Troll wearing a black-and-white striped shirt and hat, blue jeans, and a whistle around his neck was making sure the field was ready for the game.
The Normal Trolls were following Aggie, who found them great seats at the bleachers for them to watch the game, as Aggie passed them each some snacks she brought with her from a nearby snack booth that was selling popcorn, cotton candy, and other little treats to enjoy while MMTs watched the game.
"Our first time watching a Grudgby match! I'm so excited, I have more school spirit than the school spirits," Biggie exclaimed while taking a bite of the cotton candy he got, sharing some with Mr. Dinkles.
"There aren't any spirits in the school, luckily, but even if they were, I bet they would be just as excited as we are," Dante commented.
"Wow," Sid said excitedly, looking at the field, saying to himself, "This definitely looks like it'll be more fun than the sports we play back in my kingdom. As long as there's no bloodshed or someone trying to kill someone else, I think this will be a fun thing to watch."
"Ooh! This is so exciting! I wanna squeal; do any of you want to squeal with me," Poppy mentioned.
Before anyone could answer, Branch, McJagger, Stereo, Gust, and Demo were seen standing up in excitement, cheering loudly. Stereo was blowing into a cheering horn, while the boys were cheering, the sounds mimicking the sounds of dogs barking.
"Wow, you guys sure seem...excited," Minuet commented in confusion.
"Uh, yeah! It's not everyday we get to witness a live game," Demo commented excitedly.
"Back home, I went to watch every athletic game held in Vibe City, so, I'm also an intellectual individual, and a sports fanatic as well," McJagger commented.
"Yep. The thrill ov sports is enough ta make ayy Troll feel alive! Yeehaw," Gust said while tossing up his hat.
Minuet chuckled, saying, "Boys will be boys," before she heard Stereo exclaim, startling the Classical Troll, "Go, team! Go for the win," and blew into her cheering horn again.
Synth saw some female MMTs that were cheerleaders going over a cheer routine, saying, "Go, Cabatwand! You're really, really grand! Yay"!
He smiled in awe, saying, "Wow! Those cheerleaders look like they're having so much fun," and pulled out some red pompoms, saying, "Go, team, go! Go, team, go"!
Aggie then saw some fellow MMTs that were sitting in the bleacher see her and greet her with compliments and kind words.
Trollex saw the positive reactions Aggie was getting from some of the fellow MMTs around her, making him smile and say while holding his girlfriend's hand, "Check it out; it's like all of Cabatwand Comprehensive High's caught Aggie fever"!
Aggie giggled while saying as she grabbed some popcorn to eat from her carton, "Ever since we've officially declared to everyone that you and I are a couple, I've been feeling more confident. I guess it shows."
"Aw, Aggie thinks she's popular now. How cute," a voice mockingly commented while Aggie saw the telekinetic aura surrounding her carton of popcorn as it floated all the way to the Troll that was using telekinesis: Diana Caro, who was standing on the field, wearing a pink sports jacket with light pink sleeves, a dark pink D stitched on the front of the jacket, and a magenta collar with a white stripe on it, while her friends Jamie Medina and Aires Claire were behind her, both also wearing a matching sports jacket, but with different letters to match their names.
Trollex was quick to step in, saying in defense, "Hey, I agree, my girlfriend is very cute! But give that back," and used his hair to take back Aggie's popcorn carton and gave it back to her, saying, "Your popcorn, m'lady."
Aggie smiled and kissed Trollex on the cheek, saying, "Thanks, Trollex."
Diana rolled her eyes, saying, "It's weird that you two are a couple; I still think it's utterly strange for a Magic Musical Troll and a Normal Techno Troll, especially a leader, to be dating. Ever since prom, so many people seem to be praising you for being brave and for standing up about your relationship with this oddball."
Trollex frowned, not appreciating being called an "oddball" as Diana continued while using her flora magic to make a vine emerge from in between the bleacher seats and flick Aggie's popcorn carton away, spilling it, "But don't worry, I'm still here to show you who's boss."
Aggie frowned when she saw her popcorn get spilled as Trollex offered Aggie some popcorn from his carton, saying, "Here, Aggie."
Aggie smiled while blushing, saying, "Thanks, Trollex," as she took a bit of popcorn and ate some.
"Oh-ho-ho," Diana said with a mischievous smirk, adding, "The boyfriend wanna get in on this too, huh"?
Diana suddenly snapped her fingers and made a bunch of vines that appeared below the feet of Trollzart, Delta, Quincy and Essence, Poppy, Branch, and Barb, picking them up and dumping them onto Trollex, the Normal Troll leaders all bunched up together.
The leaders all groaned in pain/annoyance, while Aggie got up and glared at Diana, saying, "Hey, leave my friends alone, Diana"!
Diana and her friends laughed, thinking it looked funny.
Then, the referee, who overheard the commotion going on, came over, asking, "Hey! What's going on over here? no funny business before the game starts."
"There's no funny business here, good sir," Branch replied while trying to untangle himself from Delta's arm and Barb's leg.
"Diana's picking on us," Poppy added on, trying to untangle herself from Essence and Quincy's necks.
Diana, however, pulled an innocent face, saying, "My apologies, sir. I was practicing my aim for today's Grudgby match."
The Magic Pop referee first glared at Diana, saying, "Diana Caro, how could you throw the leaders of the Normal Trolls...," before he smiled, saying, "When you could throw things at me"?
"Huh," all the Normal Trolls said in confusion.
"Am I over here? Or am I over here? Anything for the captain of the Cabatwand Cavaliers," the referee said while jumping back and forth, mimicking a moving target.
"Seriously? Y'all ain't gonna reprimand huurr faw doin' this," Delta called out after she and the rest of the leaders were able to separate and return to their seats.
"Well, while I do highly disapprove her actions of throwing you all together like that, she's the Grudgby team captain, and the team can't afford to lose one of their star players," the referee replied before walking away.
"Well, that officially stinks. How is that fair," Rhythm retorted.
"Don't worry, guys. The game's about to start, so hopefully, she'll be out of our hair for now," Aggie said, trying to sound optimistic.
Suddenly, an announcer on the speakers declared, "Ladies and gentlemen! Who's ready for a Grudgby match"?!
The crowd in the bleachers cheered happily, including Aggie and the Normal Trolls.
"Then, give it up for our competing teams today! First, from Trollnila, it's the Trollnila Titans," the announcer declared as a group of 5 MMTs, all wearing light green team jerseys with dark green armor padding on their chests, shoulders, and knees, the chest armor had a white moon symbol on it, and they all wore green fingerless gloves, matching green cleats, and they had light green face paint mimicking lighting bolts drooping from their eyes.
"And representing our school, the Grudgby champions: the Cabatwand Cavaliers," the announcer declared while Diana, Jamie, Aires Claire came out, with a male Magic Classical Troll, a male Magic Country Troll, Calamity and a female Magic Reggaeton Troll with light purple skin and red, grey, green, and brown reggaeton tribal markings, brown hair styled in a pixie cut with swooped up bangs, and brown eyes, and the team's Grudgby uniforms were similar to that of the opposing team, except the armor padding were orange, the symbol on the chest plate was a music note, their fingerless gloves was light orange to match their light orange jerseys, matching orange cleats, and they had on face paint shaped like a shooting star drooping by their eyes.
All of the students cheered loudly for their home team.
"So, Aggie, how does this Grudgby game work anyway," Val asked curiously.
"Well, see those two triangular goal posts over there," Aggie asked while pointing to the posts on the field.
The goal posts were made of gold, and in the shape of a triangle. The Trollnila Titans was by the goal post on the right, and the Cabatwand Cavaliers were by the goal post on the left.
"There's a ball that's tossed into the air, and the goal is for each team to score in the other teams goal posts," Aggie continued to explain.
"Ooh! Kind of like soccer! And basketball! And volleyball," Cooper replied with a happy chuckle.
"Don't forget ice hockey," Barb mentioned.
"And tennis," Essence added.
"So, you're just throwing a ball into a goal? Sounds like my kind of game," Smidge commented happily.
"Yeah! Ayn' it seems easy ta learn," Holly added.
Aggie couldn't help but giggle, saying, "Oh, trust me, it's not that easy. Watch closely, and you'll see."
With both teams ready and in position on the field, the referee from earlier blew his whistle and tossed the ball up into the air.
Aires Claire quickly floated up and caught it with her tailfin, throwing it to Diana, who caught it, and jumped onto a light ball that Jamie created with her light magic, which popped and sent her into the air. With the shot lined up, Diana was set to throw it, but a male Magic Classical Troll from the opposing team used his wind magic to send the ball off course and into his teammate's hands, as the MMT that caught the ball charged in to try and score. But the Magic Country Troll on Diana's team made an earth structure appear that surprised the MMt, making it drop the ball, as he ran and encountered a bush barricade, trying to get around it to score.
"Woah! They're usin' magic ta defend ayn' try ta score," Buckaroo said, surprised.
"Wow," all the Normal Trolls said in awe.
Aggie stated to her friends, "Yep. Here, in Harmonious Land, when we play Grudgby, we use our magic to try and help our team win."
"Isn't using magic during the game like, i don't know, cheating." Sid asked curiously.
"Not here in Harmonious Land. This sport is specially designed for us to use our magic to help try and score points to win," Aggie answered.
"You seem to know quite a lot about Grudgby, Aggie. Have you played before," Prince D asked.
"I haven't, and even if I wanted to, I couldn't because I didn't have any magic abilities back then before I earned my True Colors. But I did go to the Grudgby games the school had, and I watched how the sport was played," Aggie answered, adding, "They're loads of fun"!
"They sure seem like a lot of fun to play," Satin commented, while Chenille added, "Look! Calamity's going for a shot"!
On the field, the female Magic Reggaeton Troll winked at Calamity and tossed the ball to her, as the female Magic Rock Troll caught it and, using her fire magic to light the ball up in flames and give it a fire-powered boost, while the male Magic Classical Troll used his wind magic to make it go a little faster, and it got shot it into the opposing goal post, scoring 3 points for the Cabatwand Cavaliers, as it landed on the ground and was quickly extinguished.
"Goal! Home team," the referee announced to the crowd, causing the cheers to erupt.
"Goal," all the MMTs in the crowd declared loudly.
"Goal," Aggie and the Normal Trolls exclaimed excitedly.
"Wow! That was a really cool shot," Melody pointed out happily.
"Smart way to use fire as turbo boost for that shot," Laguna said while writing it down in her notepad.
When the ball was returned to the ref, who tossed it up again, the opposing team got the ball this time, but Jamie was quick to intercept as she used her light magic to shine a bright light, making the opposing team stumble back and cover their eyes, while Aires Claire flicked the ball to Diana, who made another shot and scored another goal.
"Hot dang! Diana ayn' huurr team seem pretty good at this Grudgby sport," Holly pointed out while chewing on some popcorn.
"She isn't messing around on that field," DJ Suki added.
"She may be a bit of a jerk, but Low-Note Jones can respect her and her team's athletic skills," Low-Note Jones commented out of the blue.
"Diana's the team captain of our school Grudgby team, and ever since she's been leading them, the team's gone on to win a lot of games, and even three back-to-back championships," Aggie pointed out as the game continued on.
About ten minutes later, the game was over, as the Cabatwand Cavaliers won 30 to 15.
Aggie and her friend were hanging out by the front of the school, talking about the game.
"That was one of the best games I've ever seen," Val declared while chuckling happily.
"The way Calamity pulled off that final play with that Magic Reggaeton Troll was amaza-bo-bonkers," Rhythm commented happily.
"And that halfway tie was quite the dramatic moment. It left everyone on the edge of their seats," Trollzart added.
"Did you guys see that cheerleading routine they did? Haha, it was so *imitates airhorn noises*," Synth commented before stated to say while shaking his pompoms, "Go, Cabatwand Cavaliers! We the only champions here," and did a few backflips and spins, ending with a perfect split.
Stereo giggled, saying, "Nice routine, Synthesizer! You can make a really fun cheerleader"!
Synth blushed while standing up, "Awwww, thanks, Stereo," as he kissed her on the cheek, making the sparkly Techno blush alongside him.
"Well, well, you guys are still here," A voice commented as the group turned their heads and saw Diana, Jamie, and Aires Claire approaching them.
Aggie rolled her eyes, retorting back to the female Magic Pop Troll, saying, "Yes, we are, because my friends and I want to hang out here together."
"By the way, that was a good game of Grudgby you guys did today, congratulations on your win," Biggie stated.
Jamie rolled her eyes, saying, "Well, victory was inevitable, we are the best players in the entire school."
"And to stay the best, we have to practice, and lucky for us, you're all here just in time to watch us," Aires Claire stated, trying to sound impressed.
"We...are," Riff asked curiously.
"How? Don't you need targets to practice," Guy Diamond inquired?
"Yes, but lucky for us, we already have the perfect targets," Diana said mischievously as she, Jamie, and Aires Claire readied to use their magic on the Normal Trolls and Aggie.
A third of the group got tossed aside by vines courtesy of Diana, another third of the group had to shield their eyes and stumbled back from Jamie's light magic, which was shined very brightly on purpose, and the rest of them, including Aggie herself, got soaked and sent black by Aires Claire's water magic.
After the trio of MMTs left while chuckling, Aggie and her friends were left to recover from the sudden blasts of magic.
Poppy squeezed the water out of her hair, saying, "Man, even after a game, those three still won't let us be."
"What have we ever done to them that caused them to be so...critical with us," Dante asked while rubbing his eyes to try and regain his vision.
"Exist," Sid commented back while using his teeth to bite off a vine his wrists were bound by.
Aggie was brushing water off her dress as Trollex helped her up to her feet and hugged her close with one arm, saying, "Don't worry, it's not like she can follow us around all day, right"?
Aggie couldn't help but feel better when she heard Trollex's reassuring words while saying, "Yeah, you're right. She and her friends probably have personal things to do now that the Grudgby game's over."
"Exactly," Trollex replied back while sharing a cute kiss with Aggie, making their friends say, "Awwwwww," in awe.
Two hours later...
Back at the condo, Aggie and the Normal Trolls were sitting outside on the front, and they looked like complete wrecks due to Diana, Jamie, and Aires Claire following them and constantly using their magic on them as if they were targets everywhere they went.
"She followed us around all day! She literally followed us around all day," Barb exclaimed angrily while pulling a leaf out of her tank top.
"Don't they have anything more productive to do than annoy us constantly," Minuet frustratedly declared while pouring water out of her now-soaked violin.
"Who does this in their free time," Legsley commented while pulling out a flower stuck on her anklet.
Aggie sighed sadly, saying, "I'm really sorry I pulled you guys into this. We should have just kept a low profile."
"Hey, hey, hey, don't let what Diana and her friends been doing bring you down, Aggie. After all, if you're sad, I'll miss your adorable smile," Trollex said sincerely.
Despite feeling a bit down by how the day's been going, Aggie couldn't help but blush and giggle, saying while holding her cheeks, "How do you always know just what to say to make me feel better"?
Trollex grinned and answered while shrugging, "Probably my special boyfriend magic," and booped Aggie on the nose gently, making the colorful MMT blush brighter and her smile wider.
Trollex then added, "Besides, Diana's just a stuck-up, high-class figure that I bet she could get away with murder if she wanted to."
"She murdered someone," Cooper exclaimed in shock.
"No, Cooper, that's just an expression. It just means a lot of Trolls respect her a lot," Quincy explained to his son.
Cooper seemed to understand, replying with, "Oh, I get it. But if she did murder someone, the police would be close behind to catch her. Happens in every cop movie," and chuckled in response.
"We will find a way out of this, guys," Poppy stated, sounding optimistic, adding, "We just need to find a way to get her to lay off on the "teasing" as she would call it."
"But if we try to talk to her, it might make things worse," Smidge commented worryingly.
"Or it might help get those three girls to not be as stuffy around us when they see us," McJagger mentioned from an optimistic point of view.
Aggie then saw her cousin Shimmer walking down the sidewalk, making Aggie smile and shout while approaching her, "Hey, Shimmer"!
Shimmer, who was carrying some books while walking, saw her cousin Aggie and grinned, saying while ceremoniously dropping her books and running up to her, "Aggie"!
Shimmer and Aggie both high-fived and slapped tailfins together as Shimmer said, "How's everything, cuz? Up to anything new? Also, you and your friends look like you just battled a hurricane, are y'all ok"?
Aggie replied while scratching the back of her head, "Long story, but Shimmer, we need your help."
"Yes, I can help," Shimmer answered eagerly before asking, "With what, exactly"?
Aggie explained while helping her cousin pick up her books, "Diana and her friends won't stop picking on us, and no one will do anything about it because she's the "Star Captain of the Grudgby team."
"Yeah, this time of year, she's extra unbearable," Shimmer replied before accepting the books Aggie gave her.
Aggie then asked, "You see her in town often, can you talk to her for us"?
Shimmer gave it some thought before saying, "I can certainly try, cuz, but the hard part is there's no reasoning with Diana. Plus, when it's Grudgby season, she likes to speak in Grudgby terms."
"Grudgby terms," Trollzart asked curiously as he flew over with an empty wagon for Shimmer to carry her books in, asking, "What do you mean by that, per see"?
"Well, your Classicalness," Shimmer replied while putting her books in the wagon, saying, "I mean, she likes to talk the language of Grudgby and use terms related to the sport when she talks. And it can be all she ever talks about, which gets annoying, but it's not like anyone else would care about that because they constantly win every game."
Trollzart was taking all of this in while saying, "Hmm. Okay, I appear to be picking up what you're putting down."
Shimmer, in confusion, looked down on the sidewalk before saying, "I'm not putting anything down."
Aggie giggled while saying, "Trollzart just mean she understand what you're saying-,"
Suddenly, a loud shout alerted the three Trolls to turn their heads and see the group of Normal Trolls, including Dante and Minuet, were being showered by a load of garbage due to someone using telekinesis and picking up a dumpster.
Aggie and Trollzart gasped and flew over to their friends, with Aggie saying, "Guys! what happened"?
"Diana happened," Gust said while tossing an apple core aside that was on his hat.
Trollzart looked over and saw Diana being the one using her telekinesis to hold the dumpster up high, saying, "Hey, weirdos! I just thought all trash should stay in one spot."
Trollzart was ready to have some strict words with Diana before suddenly, he felt something coming, as his eyes widened, and then, something played in his mind.
In his head, he saw Aggie slam her hands onto the ground while Delta was riding on top of a large segment of conjoined vines that were together, the vine causing Jamie and Aires Claire to be sent back, while Delta appeared to be dressed in Gurdgby uniform and was holding a Gurdgby ball in her hands, riding the vine towards the goal.
When the "clip" ended, Trollzart shook his head and realized that...he just had a psychic vision! H had no time to question how it happened or why, but seeing that he, Aggie, and Cooper, among possibly a few other Trolls that were playing Grudgby against Diana and her team, he came up with the one idea to help settle this.
He flew up to Diana and addressed her out of frustration, "That's it! Ms. Caro! We, the leaders of the Normal Trolls, challenge you to... a Grudgby match"!
"You what," Diana exclaimed in shock, the sudden shock of the request surprising her so much that she lost her telekinetic focus and dropped the dumpster.
"We what," Aggie and the rest of the Normal Troll leaders commented in surprise, while the dumpster ended up landing on Synth.
"We what," Synth commented, his voice muffled inside the dumpster while adding, " Seriously, yo, what's going on here"?
"Maestro, what in BeeTrollven's bassoon are you doing," Dante commented in surprise.
"I'm just following Shimmer's advice; Diana appears to only speak in Grudgby terms during Grudgby season. Trust me, I have a plan."
"Is it to get up roped into more trouble," Riff asked nervously.
Diana looked at Jamie and Aires Claire, and the three girls appeared to laugh in unison before Jamie commented, "Okay, maybe it's the adrenaline of our Grudgby win earlier, but I thought I heard you say that you and those weird Normal Troll leaders wanted to challenge me to a Grudgby match."
"Uh, actually-," Essence started to say but got interrupted when Trollzart commented, "That's right! We'll settle this once and for all on the field."
"Or we could just talk about our issues," Poppy hesitantly commented, trying to break up the tension.
"There's no way she's gonna turn down a Grudgby challenge," Aggie commented hesitantly.
"Who knows, Aggie? Maybe she might not since she and her friends must be tired from-," Shimmer tried to say reassuringly.
But, Diana interrupted Shimmer's train of thought as the Magic Pop Troll told Trollzart confidently, "Let's do this, grandpa."
"And, she did," Shimmer commented while Aggie gulped nervously.
All the Normal Trolls gasped in shock from not only Diana's acceptance for the Grudgby challenge but also the insult she lashed at Trollzart.
"Oh no, she didn't," R&B commented in unison.
"She did not just call our leader a "Grandpa," Minuet declared, upset from seeing Trollzart getting insulted.
Trollzart, luckily, wasn't deterred from the insult, saying, "Here's the deal. If our team wins, you and your friends don't get to pick on us anymore."
Diana seemed to accept it, saying, "Fine, and when we win, Aggie and your team will be our water gofers."
"I can't be a gopher! I can't dig holes or hew through wood," Cooper panicked while dunking his head into a nearby flower pot, screaming into the dirt.
Prince D reassured his brother, saying, "Not that kind of gopher. She means we would just be bringing her water."
Cooper stuck his head back up, a flower and some dirt resting on top of his hat, as he said, "Oh, that kind of gopher? Well, it's better than having to eat bark."
Trollex smirked, shouting at Diana, "Ha! That's not even a punishment. we love water"!
"Especially us Techno Trolls," Synth added, the two brothers fist-bumping in agreement.
Diana smirked back, adding, "And we get to use you as target practice," before she jumped up and kicked the Grudgby ball she was holding, making it zoom right through the bark of a nearby tree, making the Normal Trolls quake in fright.
Trollzart shook hands with the Magic Pop Troll, saying, "You've got a deal. We play at the school field at 5pm today."
"See you then, losers," Diana commented while she and her friends walked away.
Trollzart then let the reality of the situation hit him, as he realized what he had done, saying, "O-M-B flat minor; what did i do"?
"Papa Trollzart, why did you challenge Diana to a game of Grudgby," Aggie asked the Normal Classical leader.
"I had no choice, child," Trollzart sadly answered, "I thought I was following the advice perfectly, but it came out more intense than i had imagined it to be."
"Trollzart, this ain't ayy good idea," Delta commented
"Yeah, we've never even played Grudgby before! How are supposed to beat Diana," Barb asked hesitantly?
"Plus, we don't have any magic; only Aggie does. We'll be at a huge disadvantage, "Branch pointed out.
"And I never even got to play before I got my True colors, so i don't even have any experience other than just knowing how the game works," Aggie added.
Trollzart didn't want the other leaders to feel discouraged, as he flew to them, saying, "Listen, everyTroll, I don't know much about sports, but I do know that we can be able to do anything as long as we stick together We, too, are a ragtag team of lovable misfits joined together to defeat a powerful enemy. With a little team spirit and some Grudgby training, we can win."
"Wow, Trollzart, sound like something I would say, "Poppy commented in surprise.
Trollzart replied, "Well, if there's one thing I've learned about you, Queen Poppy, is that sometimes, you just have to look on the bright side of things, and I believe that we can be able to do this. Plus, imagine how exciting it could be for us to show the MMTs that we can be able to play this sport too. We'd be one step closer to having something else to hare in common with them, helping the ties between our two tribes grow stronger. So, i sk of you today: who is with me"?
"Well, if you think this'll work, then I'm in," Quincy stepped forward bravely, saying, "Count me in on behalf of the Funk Trolls."
"Me too. Plus, it's a fun sport where we get to run and throw stuff; that's more than enough for any Rock Troll to be convinced to join," Barb spoke up with a smile.
"I'll join too, on behalf of the Pop Trolls. This sport looks similar to Bergen Ball, so I think some athletic experience from that might help us," Branch commented.
"Whel, shine my horseshoes ayn' sound the alarm, 'cause ay'm in too, y'all," Delta added happily.
"And count me in for your team as well," Trollex added happily.
Aggie added while flying up to Trollex," Same for me as well. Plus, now that I have magic, I can use it to help you guys out and level things out between the two teams."
"You sure, Aggie? You haven't trained to use fire, water, or light magic yet," Essence mentioned.
"Well, I have plant, wind, and now earth magic under control, so I think that might be enough for now," Aggie replied.
"Essence and I will be stand-ins in case anyone gets hurt during the game," Poppy commented.
"Wonderful," Trollzart said before facing the other Normal Trolls, saying, "And how about for you all? Even if you aren't gonna be playing, can we count on your full support"?
The rest of the Normal Trolls all looked at one another before smiling and nodding in agreement.
"Oh my guh, of course, you can count us in! We'll be cheering for you all the way," Smidge exclaimed.
"According to our recent collection of data based on the sport, in seasons past, these flags have waved in support of Grudgby greats," Rhythm said while pulling out some flags, and giving two of them to Blues.
"Now they will wave for the greatest: our friends," Blues exclaimed as the two twins waved flags, while everyone cheered.
Synth suddenly got a great idea, saying, "Ooh! And I can be your team cheerleader, cheering you guys on"!
"Hot dang, great idea, Synth! Ayn' Val ayn' ay will be cheerleaders 'longsaade y'all," Holly exclaimed.
Val, overhearing this, commented in shock," Wait, wha-AHHHHHHHH," before she ended up getting dragged inside the condo, with Synth following behind them.
"I'll be the athletic medical assistant and provide proper hydration and medical equipment needed in case anyone gets hurt during the game," mcJagger said while raising his paw up to volunteer.
"Ayn' ay volunteer ta officiate today's Grudgby match as Fun Sheriff ov Trollstopia," Gust commented while tipping his hat.
Melody then snapped her fingers and faced Laguna, suggesting, "Hey, you and I should be sport reporters and commentate on the action of today's match"!
"Brilliant idea, Melody," Laguna replied before asking, "What's commentating"?
"That just means we get to deliver the play-by-play on everything that happens out on the field. Every scoring moment, every little action, the score each team has, the odds, everything! It's like reporting for the news, but for something less boring," Melody explained.
"Note: quite interesting. In that case, let us commentate to the best of our ability," Laguna replied happily.
Aggie then faced Shimmer, asking her cousin, "What about you, Shimmer? Want to help us out in preparations with the game"?
Shimmer, however, looked a bit nervous about having any part in Grudgby, as she stammered, "Uh...I-I have to go," and quickly ran off, carrying the wagon of books with her.
"Well, I guess she's out," Demo pointed out.
"In any case, let's get training," Aggie declared as everyone was ready to get down to the field to start training.
Back at school, the Normal Trolls were given special permission by Principal Lauro to use the field to practice for their match later. While the team was out on the field getting ready, everyone else was in the bleachers, set to cheer them on.
Aggie was placing on the last knee pad she needed before getting up from the bench she was sitting on and saw the other leaders in their Grudgby uniforms.
For the Normal Trolls, the former of the uniforms was the same, just in a light blue/blue color scheme, and the symbol on their chest armor padding was of a rainbow, and no one had on any face paint yet. Delta, Barb, and Branch were the only ones with cleats on their feet, while Aggie, Quincy, Trollex, and Trollzart didn't have any.
"Wow, you guys look so cool," Aggie commented.
"Ay laake this armor. Looks tough," Delta said while patting the chest armor padding.
"It has a nice fit," Quincy added while looking at his knee pads.
"These cleats though feel weird on me, but I dig the spikes on the bottom," Barb said while looking at the cleats she was wearing.
"Practicing in this armor was a great idea, Aggie! Now, we can get use to playing the game in them," Trollex commented, although he was blushing while saying it because he thought Aggie looked so cute in the Grudgby uniform.
Aggie was the same as she thought Trollex looked so handsome in his uniform.
McJagger was wearing his first responder's uniform (his usual one from Trollstopia), saying, "I got water bottles, medicine, snacks, first-aid kit, and anything you guys need. Say the word, and I'll come run and tend to your medical needs."
"Good looking out, McJagger," Quincy praised the red Funk Troll, who beamed in reply.
Poppy and Essence were sitting on the benches nearby, cheering the team on, as Poppy declared, "Woohoo! You can do it, guys"!
"Give it your best," Essence declared.
Then, the team heard someone shout, "Alright, Trolls"!
It came from Synth, who was wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, with white cuffs at the wrist of the sleeves, a white stripe with red borders that went diagonal across the shirt, red pants, and a matching red scrunchy, and holding pompoms in his hands.
Beside him was Holly, who was wearing a white tanktop with a blue H on it, and a red skirt, while holding green pompoms, and Val, who wore a similar outfit concept of the white tanktop, but with a blue V on it, and matching red skirt, and she also had green pompoms in her hands.
"Ready? Ok," Synth exclaimed before he, Val, and Holly started to shake their pompoms and do a cheer routine in sync, saying in unison, "In the air or on the land, Trollstopia All-Stars are so grand! Underground or in the sea, they're gonna win this game with ease! Go, team"!
While everyone in the bleachers cheered, Trollex giggled, saying, "Nice routine, Synth, and sick cheer gear! Where'd you get it from"?
"Haha! Satin and Chenille helped make it for me," Synth replied.
Satin and Chenille, in the bleachers, grinned and high-fived each other.
Stereo was blushing heavily, saying, "That's my Synthesizer," and blew into her cheering horn.
Suddenly, Branch was surprised when he saw Melody, who was wearing a black fedora on her head and holding an old-time microphone in her hands, saying, "This is Melody Song coming to you live on the Cabatwand Comprehensive High School field, where the practice session for today's Grudgby game is just about to get underway! Branch, care to comment about how you're feeling about today's game"?
"Uh...," Branch said, not even able to speak, before Melody grinned, saying into the mic, "Couldn't say it better myself! For more, we're throwing you over to Tidepool in the bleachers! How's the view up-"?
"What is happening," Branch asked in confusion, interrupting the Pop/Rock Troll.
"I'm commentating on the sports action, duh," Melody replied, "Telling every detail on what's happening on the field. Right, Laguna"?
On the bleachers, Laguna, who also had an old-time microphone in her hands, said while walking over to the rest of their friends in the bleachers, "Yes, it is a bright and lovely day for a Grudgby game, which will, hopefully, settle the "Grudge"y tension between Diana Caro and her friends and the Normal Trolls. I'm right now roaming the bleachers, interviewing the ever-growing audience about their thoughts on today's game."
She approached Sid, asking, "Care to give us any thoughts"?
Sid saw the microphone and said, "Well, I'm just looking forward to seeing how this goes, hoping that our team socks it into the other team, and if anyone is gonna get hit in either the face or the nards with the ball! I love sports"!
"Interesting response! Back to you, Song," Laguna reported into the microphone before sitting down by a seat next to Smidge.
Branch then interrupted again, asking Melody, "Wait, why are you guys doing this"?
"Because it's fun to report about sports, especially when the action is exciting," Melody replied.
"At least tell me you're not recording this," Branch asked, almost in a pleading manner.
"Oh no, we're not recording it," Melody replied before pointing behind Branch, saying, "Biggie is."
"WHAT," Branch exclaimed and looked behind him, where he saw Biggie holding his phone while sitting in his seat, saying, "Got it all on camera."
"You're recording your "report," Branch asked, agasped.
"What? No, we're streaming it live from Biggie's Musicbook," Melody answered with a chuckle, saying, "It's better to catch the action when it's raw and live, not prerecorded for taping purposes," before heading to her seat, leaving Branch agasped.
Trollzart then called the team over, saying to them, "Ok, Trolls. If we are to win this, we need to work hard and practice so we can do well in today's game and hopefully win it. Aggie, care to explain how the use of magic works in the game"?
Aggie nodded, saying, "See, we use our magic to not only defend and try to block the other team from getting the ball, but we also use it to help try and score. So, we need to be prepared for every possible antic that might come at us."
Aggie then let out a shrill whistle, consulting R&B to press a button on their remotes, which summoned their disco-ball-o-gram to appear, hovering above the field.
"Uh, what's with the disco ball-o-gram, Aggie," Barb asked out of confusion.
Aggie explained, "With the help of this little device, it's gonna mimic some of the magic abilities of the MMTs so that way, we can work together on different ways to combat it or overcome it to score."
"Oh," everyone said in unison.
"it'll also be good to know what we have that we can use ot our advantage," Branch proposed.
"Trollzart and Aggie can fly, and I can float, so we can cover the air while you guys do the groundwork," Trollex mentioned.
"Precisely," Trollzart replied.
"Plus, since I've trained and can use plant, wind, and earth magic really well now, I can put my skills to the test and make it easier for you guys to combat with their magic. All we need to focus on is getting the ball into the other team's goal," Aggie declared.
"Ay think Barb ayn ay could be great offenduurrs," Delta proposed.
"Does this mean I get to insult their little heads off," Barb asked curiously, earning a deadpanned look from Delta, which made the Rock Queen straighten up while grinning sheepishly.
Delta then explained to her, "It means y'all ayn' ay would be the ones tryin' ta score."
"Oh! Well, that's better than laying insults at least," Barb replied.
"Quincy and I can help with defense and rebounds, trying to get the ball to you as fast as we can," Branch commented.
"Perfect. So, now that we have a plan set, let's hit the field," Trollzart declared.
Gust, who was wearing a black-and-white striped shirt, blew his whistle, saying, "Now, ay want ayy good clean practice, y'all. Play fair, ayn' have fun! Game on"!
Aggie grabbed a Grudgby ball and said, "Heads up," before tossing it towards Barb, who was set to catch it, until a hologram of a large plant emerged from the ground, thanks to the disco ball-o-gram, and the sight of it was enough to startle the Rock queen and make her stumble back, the ball hitting her on the head.
Quincy quickly weaved around the hologram and picked the ball up with his nose, sending it to Delta.
Delta caught it and galloped to the goal, but a hologram of an Earth structure appeared right behind her, almost catching her by the tail, making the mayor stumble and fall. When Aggie tried to use her wind magic to pick Delta up, she made the gust too strong, which tossed her high.
"Sorry, Aunt Delta," Aggie shouted as she watched Delta fall back down and land on Branch, making Poppy and Essence cringe in concern.
"Are you ok, Branch and Delta," McJagger asked while running up to her and Branch.
Delta and Branch both struggled back up, with Branch saying, "We're ok for now."
Barb was battling a hologram of a fire stream, trying to weave past it while bringing the ball to the goal, as she threw it at the post, but it hit the pole and got sent back, hitting Aggie in the back and knocking her down.
"Aggie," Trollex exclaimed as he floated to her and helped her up, asking, "Are you ok"?
"Watch out," Quincy's voice declared when Trollex and Aggie looked up and saw a hologram of a bright light ball coming.
Aggie used her plant magic to create a vine shelter that would protect her and Trollex, but while Aggie was focusing on the vines, she tapped her hoof and inexplicably made an earth structure rise from underneath her and Trolle, the pair having to grip onto it while it rose up on the field while screaming.
"Aggie/Trollex," the male and female leaders exclaimed in worry.
"Ooh, it appears that the Trollstopia All-Stars is running into some trouble on the field. Will their practice session rise up, or will it crumble like the earth structure will as soon as Aggie gets it down into the ground," Laguna commented into the mic while Biggie was recording their next report segment on his phone.
"Well, Laguna, if sports have taught me anything, it's that what goes up-," Melody said before pointing to where Aggie and Trollex let go and fell back to the field, caught by a Troll-eating flower Aggie conjured up to catch them and let them down safely, adding, "Must come down."
Synth, Val, and Holly were trying to cheer some support for the leaders while their friends helped cheer them on in the bleachers.
On the field, Trollzart had the ball and carried it before facing down a hologram of a wind tornado, as he tried to fly back to avoid it, tossing the ball over it, but the wind tornado sucked it up and sent it to Quincy, bouncing by his feet, and causing him to trip and tumble into Branch, Barb, and Delta, who all tumbled into the goal post, hitting it with a hard THUD.
Aggie signaled R&B to turn off the disco ball-o-gram, which the Funk twins did, as Aggie, Trollex, and Trollzart went over to the fallen members, with Trollex asking, "Are you guys ok"?
"We seem to be ok," Quincy reported as the group got up.
"Ay need watuurr," Delta said while holding her throat, looking parched.
"Ow! My knee," Branch said while holding his left knee, which looked bruised.
"I feel great," Barb said, puffing her chest out in pride.
"How about you three? Are you alright," Branch asked them.
Trollex replied, "Just a little startled from that sudden earth structure, but we're ok."
"I'm so sorry, Trollex; I didn't mean to make that suddenly appear like that! I guess I haven't fully gotten the hang of my earth magic yet," Aggie replied, looking down sadly.
Trollex hugged her close to him to help her feel better while saying, "Hey, don't worry, it's ok. I'm alright, and you're alright, and that's what is most important."
"I shouldn't have volunteered to play; i knew my magic still needed more training before I can things like this," Aggie commented, feeling bad she almost got herself and Trollex hurt.
Trollzart, however, wasn't ready to quit yet, as he said, "Perhaps we just need to practice more, and then-,"
"Nawht now, Trollzart; we're tired," Delta told the Classical leader while catching a water bottle McJagger tossed to her while examining Branch's knee.
Trollzart then stated, "But if we're going to be able to win and beat Diana's team, what we need is to-,"
Then, Barb interrupted the Classical leader, saying, "Dude, just stop and listen! Not everything can be solved with just thoughtful words and a positive mentality! You're almost sounding like Poppy, man"!
Trollzart looked over at Essence and Poppy, who both gave him some sad, but honest nods.
"We get you just want to help us do well, but let's face it: as much as I'm gonna sound sad for saying it, but we're going to lose, and there's nothing we can do about it."
Trollzart looked down sadly, feeling guilty that he had gotten his friends into his situation in the first place. Wanting to take some time to think he quickly flew away, despite the protests of his friends calling for him to come back.
Dante and Minuet quickly got up from their seats and flew off after Trollzart to help him while everyone else watched in worry.
By the front of the school, Trollzart was sitting on a bench by a picnic table, looking down at the wood beams of the table itself.
"Maestro," a voice said, making Trollzart look up and see Dante and Minuet flying behind him.
"Are you feeling ok, your Classicalness," Minuet asked in worry.
Trollzart sighed, saying, "I am sorry that I've failed everyone. I took things too far and caused nothing but strife."
"No, you didn't maestro," Dante said while sitting next to Trollzart, "The team is just feeling a bit of pressure of wanting to do well in today's game. They're giving it everything they can."
"Yes, plus, taking to account this is our first try in actually getting to experience you and the other leaders playing the game, it's a huge step that no one can just overcome so easily on the first try," Minuet added while sitting on the other side.
"That is true," Trollzart replied before adding, "But still, it gave me no right to have them all push themselves like this. Maybe they're right: we should just accept our fates and the foreshadowed loss."
"Tough practice," a new voice asked, making the three Normal Classical Trolls look up and see Shimmer sitting on the bench in front of them.
Trollzart nodded while telling the female Magic Techno Troll, "I pushed Aggie and the other leaders too hard. It's just I hate seeing my friends get picked on, especially Aggie. She's one of the most closest companions we've ever met, and I thought that us winning this game would be the only way I know how to help prevent the teasing from escalating on longer."
Shimmer then decided to admit something, saying, "Did you know, before Diana, I was the Grudgby team captain"?
Hearing this, the three Normal Classical Trolls were surprised, with Dante asking, "Really"?
"You were a Grudgby team captain," Minuet asked.
"Yeah," Shimmer added, replying with, "Well, once I left the team, I decided that was a part of my life I wanted to forget."
Flashback to a while back...
The flashback scene showed Shimmer, who was in the same Grudgby armor getup that Diana, Jamie, Aires Claire, Calamity, and the female Magic Rggaeton Troll had. They were staring down another team, ready to play against them.
"We were playing High-Ro High for the Island Championship. We had a move planned, and it was a good one."
The referee tossed the ball up, as Aires Claire caught it with her tailfin and tossed it to Shimmer, who caught it with her tailfin. Jamie used her light magic to keep the other team down as the Cabatwand Cavaliers were ready to do their move.
"But, at the last minute, I decided I wanted to do something a bit flashier. I changed our game plan to the Magic Vault."
Trollzart spoke off-screen, asking, "What's the Magic Vault"?
"It's a move where an MMT uses their elemental magic, depending on their genre of music, to create a large projection that brings them towards the goal post, like a spring vault," Shimmer explained off-screen.
It then showed Shimmer slamming her hands into the ground, which caused a huge geyser to appear below her and push her up, also inexplicably hitting her teammates and pushing them aside while it brought Shimmer to the goal post, where she scored the winning point.
While she was cheering, she saw that her teammates had gotten hurt and realized...it was her fault they got hurt. She had risked more winning the game than seeing her friends make sure they were ok while they played.
"It went disastrously wrong. My teammates got hurt. All because I had an idea of how things should be. I pushed them too far."
End of flashback...
"I never played again after that day," Shimmer sadly admitted.
When she looked up, she saw that Dante and Minuet were listening to her up close, their presence startling her a bit and making her fall out of her seat.
Dante helped her up, saying, "Apologies, we're fans of very intriguing backstories."
"But is that why you seemed nervous when Aggie invited you to join us," Minuet asked.
"Yes. I never even told her this story, so she doesn't know why I hadn't played Grudgby in a long time," Shimmer told them.
Trollzart, hearing this story, was surprised, but before he could do anything about it, he noticed Diana and her team, in the distance, almost at the school, heading towards the field, already dressed in their game uniform.
He then flew up from his seat, saying, "I know now what I must do to make it up to my friends. Thank you very much, Shimmer. Dante, Minuet, shall we head back"?
Dante and Minuet both nodded as they followed Dante and Minuet back to the field while Shimmer watched curiously, thinking about something.
Trollzart, Dante, and Minuet had returned to the field, where they saw the leaders by the benches.
Dante and Minuet were taking their seats in the bleachers while Trollzart approached the team, saying, "Um, pardon me, everyTroll..."
The team looked up and saw Trollzart smiling in relief.
"Trollzart, are you feeling better," Quincy asked him.
"Is everything ok," Aggie asked him.
Trollzart nodded, saying, "Yes, and...I came to apologize to you all. I'm so sorry I pushed you into doing things how I thought should go. You all were just trying your best, and that's the best thing I want to see everyone do because you're my friends, and I know you all are able to do well, no matter what."
"Trollzart, you don't have to feel bad; we know that you were just worried about us not playing well, that's all," Trollex commented.
"Yes, but that shouldn't mean i should have my friends push themselves to the brink and risk getting hurt to do something they can't. I went in over my head, thinking that we could be able to exceed our limit to victory, but all i really want you all to do is just give it your best shot."
The leaders all looked up at Trollzart, with Barb saying, "Well, we accept your apology, man, but you didn't have anything to feel sorry for."
"Yeah, we were all just feelin' ayy bit pressured, nawht fro y'all, but from wantin' ta nawht disappoint the team in our game," Delta added.
"All we want to do is go out there and have fun, and play the game our way," Quincy mentioned.
"and you know what? Our way is the best way, because we can do it together as one," Trollzart said happily before asking, "So, do you all still want to play"?
"Of course, Papa Trollzart," Aggie answered happily, with the other leaders nodding happily in agreement.
"But there's one problem we still have: after you left, McJagger checked on Branch, and as it turned out, his bruised knee is pretty bad," Trollex told him while pointing to Branch, who was sitting on the bench with Poppy, who was holding his leg in place, while Essence placed ice on it.
"Oh no! Without him, we'll be missing a player," Trollzart commented sadly, asking, "What do we do"?
Before anyone could answer that, Diana and her team had came over, with Diana saying, "Well, well, are you Normal Trolls here to give up quicky"?
"Ha! The day we give up is the day pigs fly," Delta declared.
"We'll never surrender," Barb declared.
"The game's still on, Diana, and we're set to face you," Aggie told the Magic Pop Troll.
"You need seven players on your team. Where's your seventh," Jamie asked mockingly when she saw only six Trolls in the Grudgby armor.
"Knock it off, Jamie," Calamity told Jamie.
Jamie turned around and looked t Calamity with a glare, saying, "Excuse me, this is an AB conversation, so, C your way out of it and shut it."
Calamity glared coldly at Jamie as the female Magic Reggaeton Troll calmed her down by patting her on the back, saying, "Hey, we may not like her, but she won't bring us down that easily."
Calamity felt a bit better, saying, "Thanks, Luzura."
"Anytime, boo," the now-identified Magic Reggaeton Troll said while kissing Calamity on the cheek, making the female Magic Rock Troll blush.
Aires Claire then asked, "We'll ask again, where's your seventh player? Or do you not have one"?
"Uh, well..." Trollzart was about to say before a voice came, saying, "Right here."
Everyone turned their heads and gasped when they saw that it was Shimmer, wearing the Trollstopia All-Stars Grudgby uniform Branch gave her since he couldn't play.
"Shimmer! you're gonna play with us," Aggie asked her cousin.
"You bet, cuz! I wouldn't miss it for the world," Shimmer replied as she approached the team.
"You just destroyed your social life," Diana bluntly told Shimmer.
Shimmer, however, didn't seem to care, as she grinned, saying, "No, I think I've made it better," as she and Aggie high-fived each other with their tailfins.
Diana groaned while saying, "Game on"!
Gust blew his whistle, saying, "The Grudgby match is about ta begin! Cabatwand Cavaliers vs the Trollstopia All-Stars"!
The Cabatwand Cavaliers and the Trollstopia All-Stars stared one another down on the field, Diana's team by the left goal post, and Aggie's team by the right goal post.
All the Normal Trolls were cheering in the bleachers.
"Go, All-Stars! You're the Trolls! show 'em Trollstopia's on a roll," Synth, Holly, and Val cheered in unison, doing a little cheer routine.
"Looks like we're about to be in for quite a game, ladies and gentlemen, as we await the opening kickoff," Melody said into her reporting mic while Biggie was using his phone to record her and Laguna.
"There's something on your shoe," Trollzart told Diana.
Diana rolled her eyes, saying, "Yeah, right. Like I'd fall for that."
When Gust launched the ball, Diana tried to jump for it, but she saw that her foot was tied by vines, courtesy of Aggie's plant magic, causing her to trip over, while Trollzart flew up and caught the ball.
"Wow, looks like the old "Stuff on your shoe" just got a "greener" method of approval," Laguna reported.
"And Trollzart's got he ball first! Will he be able to get it to the goal," Melody reported.
On the field, Trollzart flew up and quickly weaved under the male Magic Classical Troll that tried to block him, dropping the ball to Aggie, who summoned an Earth pillar to "kick" the ball into the goal, earning the Trollstopia all-Stars their first point.
"Goal," the Normal Trolls in the bleachers cheered.
"Goal! And the Trollstopia All-Stars take the lead," Laguna reported.
"What a spectacular play, folks! And a smart way to kick without using your feet," Melody reported.
"Brilliant job, Aggie," Trollzart praised Aggie.
"Thanks, Papa Trollzart! Perfect timing with the ball," Aggie replied back.
After the Trollstopia All-Stars got their first point, Barb had the ball, and Quincy was trying to help her to the goal, but Calamity created a firewall around them that made it hard to get passed. Quincy got a great idea and used his hair as a fan to blow part of the firewall away.
When enough of it was parted, Barb angled her shot and threw the all, which Delta then came along and used her back feet to kick it into the goal, making the score now 0-2, with the Normal Trolls and Aggie winning.
"Go, Trollstopia All-Stars," Holly and Val cheered in unison, while Synth did a few backflips and told the audience to, while shaking his pompoms, "Make some noise"!
All the Normal Trolls in the audience cheered happily and loudly for their friends.
A few minutes into the game and Luzura had the ball in her hands but was being blocked by Quincy and Trollex. she looked left and right before tossing the ball up and summoning a colorful fog that blinded both Normal Trolls, before she caught the ball again ran forward, scoring a goal.
"Nice shot," Barb praised the female Magic Reggaeton Troll.
"Thanks, Queen Barb," Luzura replied, before she saw the scowl Diana had, but Luzura rolled her eyes and picked up the ball, bringing it back.
The score changed as now, the Cabatwand Cavaliers led with 6-5.
"And with quite a creative shot, the Cabatwand Cavaliers have regained the lead with 6-5," Melody reported.
"With a tiny bit less than 8 minutes left, the Tollstopia all-Stars are still in the game, set to play," Laguna reported.
On Biggie's phone, while he was livestreaming the play-by-play, he was getting a lot of comments from MMTs that were watching, many rooting for both teams.
Back on the field, minutes into the game, Diana used her plant magic to make a vine wall to block Aggie from trying to see the goal. But Aggie grinned and closed her eyes, remembering her training with Anunciacion, as she rubbed her hoof on the ground, and then, she stomped the ground, making an earth structure rise behind her that carried Barb before she threw the ball at the Rock queen, who tossed it to Shimmer, who used her tailfin to fin slap the ball into the goal, making the score now tied, 9-9.
Everyone in the audience was up on their feet, cheering loudly.
"Nice work," Aggie shouted to her friends.
"Thanks," Shimmer and Barb called back to Aggie.
"And with 30 seconds left in the game, it's now do or die! Each team needs to be the first to score one more point to win the game," Melody reported.
"At this rate, it's any Troll's game! All that lies on each team is the right play," Laguna reported.
"Go, go, do your best! Show them we've got Grudgby zest," Synth, Holly, and Val cheered excitedly while shaking their pompoms.
Eyeing the time, Trollzart reported, There's time for one more play. And this play could determine whether we win or lose, but no matter what, let's make it the best we got."
"Here's what I have to offer. I think we should try," Aggie said before whispering to the team, "The Magic Vault."
Everyone gasped quietly before Trollzart asked, "The Magic Vault? Are you sure"?
"Yes, I think we can do it," Aggie answered, getting nods of approval in response, before asking Delta, "Delta, want to volunteer to be the one riding on it"?
Delta nodded, saying, "Y'all ken count on me."
"We'll all cover for you, Aggie. Just tell us what you need and we got it," Trollex told his girlfriend.
"Break," the team shouted before they faced the Cabatwand Cavaliers, set for the final play.
Gust blew his whistle and tossed the ball up, which Trollzart caught and threw to Aggie, saying, "Coming towards you"!
"Watch out, Aggie," Trollex said while pushing Aggie out of the way in time, letting Diana tackle him hard to the ground.
"Trollex," Aggie called out in worry, but got reassured when Trollex pushed the Magic Pop Troll down, saying, "It's ok, I'm ok, Aggie! Just get the ball to Delta, hurry"!
Aggie saw the MMTs on the ground coming after her and quickly flew to get away.
Barb, Shimmer, and Quincy worked on blocking the MMTs on the ground while Trollzart confused the male Magic Classical Troll with aerial maneuvers, making him too dizzy to see.
Aggie soon got to the ground and saw Delta coming right behind her. She grinned and tossed the ball over her shoulder, before slamming her hands onto the ground.
On cue, a giant set of conjoined vines emerged together, with Delta riding on it like a springboard.
Jamie and Aires Claire, who pushed through the Troll barricade, saw the huge vine form and got pushed back, while Delta rode the vine towards the goalpost.
Trollzart watched this and smiled, seeing that his first vision had just come true.
And to make it even better, Delta slammed the ball right through the goalpost before swinging back down to the ground.
The final buzzer rang, and the final score at the end of the time was 9-10, meaning the Trollstopia All-Stars had won.
"We won," Barb declared while the Normal Troll leaders, Shimmer and Aggie cheered happily.
All of the Normal Trolls in the audience were up on their feet, cheering for their friends
"It's over! The Trollstopia All-Stars have won the Grudgby match," Melody reported excitedly.
"After a spectacular back-and-forth game with almost no end, a victory has landed in the clutches of the Normal Troll leaders," Laguna reported excitedly.
Diana, Jamie, and Aires Claire looked very displeased to have lost the game, while Calamity, the male Magic Classical Troll, the male Magic Country Troll, and Luzura were surprised but very impressed.
Poppy, Essence and a limping Branch joined the rest of the leaders, almost all the leaders, and Shimmer and Aggie on their celebration.
"Whoo! You did it, guys," Poppy praised them.
"That was an amazing game you all did," Essence stated.
"Yeah, congratulation on the win," Branch added.
"We did it! We won," Delta cheered.
"We all did it, together," Quincy praised the entire team together.
"Great job, everyone," Trollzart commented, "That was a truly fun feat of sports."
"Yeah! It feels so good to be back out on the Grudgby field again," Shimmer added excitedly.
"Awesome job, you guys! That was a lot of fun," Aggie added happily.
Diana, Jamie, and Aires Claire were not happy, the Magic Pop Troll saying, "Whatever," before she, Jamie, and Aires Claire walked away from the field.
Then, the group saw Calamity, the male Magic Classical Troll, the male Magic Country Troll, and Luzura approach them, with Calamity saying, "Hey! Good game, guys"!
"Ay had so much fun playing y'all," the male Magic Country Troll said happily.
"Oh, really," Trollzart asked curiously.
"Yeah, that was muy bien! Marveliosa," Luzura commented.
"Shimmer, you're really good! You haven't lost your touch a bit," the male Magic Classical Troll commented, adding, "Would you wanna be on our team again"?
Shimmer gave it some thought before saying, "Mm, thanks for the offer, but I think I'm done with Grudgby for a while. Although if you invite me for a friendly game, you can count I will be there"!
"The offer extends to you Normal Trolls too," Calamity mentioned, saying, "For Trolls without magic, you all played really well"!
"We appreciate it, Ms. Bright," Trollzart replied.
Aggie then noticed that, out of all the Normal Troll leaders, Trollex seemed to be missing, making her ask, "Hey, where's..."
Suddenly, she heard a grunt of pain and saw that Trollex was hurt, making her gasp in concern and shout, "Trollex," while flying up to him.
She helped her boyfriend up, saying, "Trollex! What's wrong"?
"I think... I think I hurt my fin. But I'll be okay," Trollex commented.
McJagger came out to see, looking at Trollex's fin, saying, "It's not broken or sprained, but I do recommend he stays off it for the day so it can rest."
"I could help carry you if it really hurts," Aggie told Trollex.
The idea of Aggie carrying Trollex made him blush a deep shade of pink, saying, "I'm fine. Who's Trollex? I'm part fish"!
"And scoop," Aggie said while picking up her boyfriend and hovered in the air, giggling shyly while she blushed.
"Oh, wow. Sports," Trollex said, speechless, blushing redder but with a huge smile of glee, as he and Aggie shared a romantic kiss together.
"Let's head back ta the condo, guys. After ayy game like that, ay really need ayy back massage ta handle this knot," Delta said while stretching her back out.
"And I suppose we shall rest by spending the rest of our time composing," Trollzart suggested, making him, Dante, and Minuet smile as they flew with the rest of the Normal Trolls, starting to head back to the condo together.
Synth was feeling giddy, saying, "That was so *imitates airhorn noises*! I should be a cheerleader more often"!
Stereo giggled, saying, "Well, you do look very cute in uniform," and shared a kiss with Synth, making him blush while giggling shyly.
While everyone was walking back, they were still feeling the hype of how much fun the game was, and were excited to see what else their stay would bring.
