I apologize for such a long delay. And the chapter shortness. But I hope its enjoyable. Thank you for reading! Reviews much appreciated

It was rare for the SRU to have a moment of lull, Greg took full advantage of the down time. A month had passed since their domestic dispute call, it still haunted him. That chilling moment he had to make the onerous decision of lethal force. Greg was now three months along, the team still hadn't suspected anything. This was good, he wanted it to stay this way. But realistically, he knew it couldn't.

As he was cleaning the barrel of his small pistol, the morning sickness cropped up with a vengeance. He hurried as quickly as he could to the small station bathroom. This, however, didn't get past Ed's observant nature. Parker emerged some 2 or so minutes later, to the sniper standing before him, his brow arched in a scrutinizing manner.

"C'mon, out with it. What's goin' on?"

Greg knew he wasn't prying for the sake of being nosy. It was genuine concern, and as well as he tried to hide it. Knew this part was inevitable. He groans, momentarily staring at the floor.

"Not a word to the others"

"Scout's honor"

Ed chuckled, crossing his fingers.

"Well..the thing is..I'm-I'm pre.."

"Team One! Sniper at Yorkdale Shopping Centre. Suit up!"

Greg breathed a sigh of relief. Saved again by distraction. So much for down time. Ed cracked a small smile and started making his way back towards the locker room.

"We'll continue this later, Parker"

The mall patrons, understandably, in pure chaos. Greg's eyes studied the crowds. Searching for the shooter, perhaps he was trying to blend in. Sam and Jules split off. Spike and Wordy manning the outside surveillance van. Ed's attention trying to catch anything Parker could have missed.

Suddenly, on the second level. He spotted a suspicious looking young man making a mad dash for the lower level. Sam patches over to Ed.

"You see what I see?"

"Roger that"

Ed makes his way towards the escalators. But before he could even get the chance to grab him, the kid rushed past. His rifle was recovered from the second level, thankfully as it seemed, there were no causalities. As of currently at any rate. He noticed as the rookie sniper made his way towards Greg.

"Boss, head's up!"

No sooner had Greg's eyes traveled back upward, the fugitive knees him directly in the stomach before resuming his escape.

"BOSS!"

Everything was becoming dark and hazy. Before Greg knew it, he had passed out from the pain.

The team created a tree system of communication. Once everyone was informed of the gravity of the situation, emergency services were called.

"Attention, all units. This' Ed Lane of the SVU. We have an agent injured, I repeat, an agent injured. Bring an ambulance!"
