AN: This is my first story. Wow, I bet you all heard that before. Anyways, I never expected for my story to get even 1 person let alone 14 favs. I do ask that you review and if you see something that can be fixed, or a plot point that doesn't make sense, or something to that effect, please by all means let me know. I grow with criticism. I learn better when I am challenged.

Now, that said, I actually had two thoughts on how to continue Fox's Legacy. First was to follow the Teen Titans cartoon episode by episode, but with Robin having been trained by Naruto. Second was to make an AU and just make up scenarios, borrow from Young Justice a bit or DC, maybe even add a few from the Teen Titans cartoon as well. I decided with the second thought process because I have trouble with fan fics being just 'Oh, this is just [insert show] featuring [insert crossover character],' while doing nothing new to change it from the original source. It's annoying when the reason you read something becomes superfluous to the story. That said, I hope you enjoy and review. Especially to critique me.

Chapter 2: Red-X

The night was silent, chilly, and dark. A shadow flashes across a field, a swift and silent as death. The assassin of the night, creeping to a walled Japanese style compound. The shadowy assassin crept over the walls, bypassing the security. Creeping past the alarm trips, and picked the lock of the central building. Soundlessly, the assassin slid the door open, only to receive a boot to the face. "You know, I gotta hand it to you, you made it pretty far. Actually might give me a good work out." The assassin drew a short straight edge blade, one and a half palm lengths, looking at the figure who kicked him. A young teen in a black bodysuit with a skull mask, a red x adorning his chest and forehead of the mask, and a short black cape billowing. The young teen, known as Red X, tosses a red four star shuriken, striking the assassin in his weapon hand. "Kai," Red X shouted as he formed a ram hand seal. The shuriken, in a poof of chakra smoke, expanded to bind the assassin. "Then again, skills at sneaking does not equal skills at fighting."

Red X looked at the captured assassin, just shaking his head in disappointment. He quickly went over to the assassin and swiftly grabbed his jaw to stop him from swallowing suicide pills. After retrieving both pills, he picks up the assassin and drags him to a different building in the compound, one that was built of stone with no windows, looking like a gray stone cube. After handing the prisoner over to the guards of the building, Red X takes off his mask, taking in the cold night air. Dick Grayson looked over to the main building to see the old man who trained him, Naruto Uzumaki, give a nod of approval.

Dick walked into the building and to the bed which held a sickly Hinata. "Damn League of Shadows. Can't they let granny rest?" Dick kneeled next to Hinata as he said that.

"Hmm. They've made twenty-six attempts at our lives this month alone," Naruto said, "which is quite freaking annoying." Naruto turned around as Sasuke landed, kneeling behind him. "Ah, Sasuke, report."

"Hn. We found the base they are operating on. It's an island off the coast about a few miles away from Jump City." Sasuke replied.

Naruto nodded, "grab a team, erase them."

Dick stood up and put his Red X mask on. "I'll go with them..." he started before being cut off by Naruto.

"No, you do not kill, as you've stated previously. This is not a mission to knock them out, this is a mission to erase them and their little hideout from existence. I respect your beliefs, but you must understand my decision." Naruto turns to look at Dick, "I do not want you to break your beliefs in anger. If you must kill, and break a core principle of yours, it should be on your own terms, not the enemy's." Naruto looks at him with soft eyes. "I may not agree with you, but that doesn't mean I don't respect your ideals." Naruto turns around back to Sasuke, "besides, I have a different job for you. My son Boruto has made it to town with his family. You need to escort them here safely."

Red X nods and shunshins away in a swirl of leaves. Sasuke leaves soon after to get the team prepped. Naruto sits down in a chair next to Hinata and holds her hand. He sighs before calling for Fuyotu. A blonde twin tailed woman with two whisker like birthmarks on her cheeks each came in. Her pale blue pupil less eyes glanced at her mother with worry before turning back towards her father. "I-is it getting close to that time?" Naruto nodded. "Father... do you have to go with her?"

Naruto glanced at his daughter with a small sad smile pushing the wrinkles of his face together. "Of course dear. I can't let your mother travel to the other side alone." He looks at his daughter. "Please get the transfer room ready," he says, "and please take good care of Kurama." She nods and leaves with wet eyes, trying her hardest not to cry. She always wanted to keep her father's legacy going, and wanted to protect Kurama. She always knew this day would come but hoped it wouldn't come so soon. Even though she is 30 years, her sister was 48, and her brother 50, she never expected 70 to be age her mother dies. To her, her parents seemed immortal, invulnerable, a central pillar to her world.

That pillar was crumbling now.

Red X watched from across the street as a blonde haired, whiskered, middle aged man, with a black hair, black eyed, woman in glasses next to their five children, ages 25, 20, 18, 17, and 14. He kick starts his motorcycle when the family enters the limousine that was sent for them. Following a good three cars behind them at all times, his eyes behind his helmet and mask darting around him, looking for any potential threats. Through the long drive to the Uzumaki clan compound, nothing untoward happens. The limousine pulled into the compound's main entrance while Red X entered the side entrance.

As he took off his helmet, Dick Grayson couldn't help but to wonder about Sasuke and his team.

Even more silent than a shadow, Sasuke crept to the entrance of the League of Shadows. Since this was a erasure mission, Sasuke knew that loud would be the way to go once everyone was in position. After his team confirmed their position at all the underground entrances, three in total, he made a ram sign and channeled chakra into the paper bombs placed in entrance positions. "Boom."

Three large explosions, in different spots of the island and under the water went off. Immediately afterwards, Sasuke breathed a large fire ball down the ladder shaft as a few screams can be heard over the roar of the fire. Once the jutsu dies down, Sasuke jumps down, sword in hand sparking with electricity. He dashes down the hallway towards the incoming enemy assassins as he slaughters them to the man, his blade chirping with glee as they fall. Sasuke's stoic face with his red eyes moving to catch every single minute detail is shadowed by the low light of the underground base. Fighting can be heard in other areas of the cave, as gunfire, explosions and cries of pain echo throughout the area. Sasuke eventually finds the nerve center of the operations in this area. He flies over to the computers and starts yanking the data off of it and putting it onto a set of USB sticks he carries. While the computers are doing their job, he starts to search for any physical documentation and monetary resources. He cuts through a safe he finds using his hand covered in raikiri. Once everything has been pillaged, he exits and starts searching for any survivors. Not many were left as his men made short work of them with minimal casualties.

As they leave, paper bombs detonate throughout the base, collapsing the island slightly inwards to make it flatter. Sasuke then leaves to report back to Naruto with the data, money, jewels, gold, and scrolls filled with the bodies of the League of Assassins' ninjas. He smiles, thinking about seeing his daughter when he gets back, knowing that Boruto and Sarada will be at the compound by now.

Sakura noted down the vitals of Hinata, who weakly smiled at her. "How am I doing Sakura?"

Sakura smiled back, "you're doing fine dear. You're strong enough to meet people today. Do you want me to bring in Boruto and Sarada? They came in just last night." She put her clipboard down on the night table.

"That would be nice. Is Himawari in yet?" Hinata asked before coughing a bit. She shifted herself in order to get more comfortable and relieve some of her pain, if only by a little. Despite her calmness, Hinata is hurting, and has been for a year now. She knew her end was near. She also knew Naruto will be with her. Even though she didn't like him ending his own life for her, she was happy knowing she wouldn't have to wait long on the other side for him.

Sakura smiled at Hinata, "No, but she did call early this morning and will be in later this day. Also, Sasuke took care of the gnats buzzing around recently trying to take advantage of your situation." She changed Hinata's IV bag as Hinata frowned. The League of Shadows has been annoying and kept interrupting her sleep.

Sakura leaves after checking everything one more time to let Hinata's son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren in. Boruto immediately went to his mother's side and holds her hand. "Hey mom. How are you feeling?" he asked worriedly. His eldest son, a 25 year old name Arashi, walked in next with his mom, Sarada Uzumaki. Next was Ayame, 20, named after Boruto's favorite ramen chef, old lady Ayame (unbeknownst to Boruto, Sarada was always little jealous of Ayame in their youth for being able to get Boruto's attention so easily). Then came Shinki and Kana, 18 and 17 respectively. Following them all was their shy brother Saruto, 14. They crowded around Hinata, talking and telling her about their life so far. Hinata laid their contentment radiating from her. This was exactly the way she wanted to go.

After a while, dinner was being made and the family enjoyed each other's company with Dick Grayson also getting to know them better. As this was going on, another limousine pulled into the Uzumaki compound. From the back came a dark blue short-haired woman, with two whisker marks and piercing blue eyes, and a sensually curvy body. Behind her came another girl, around 16, with raven black hair, beautiful amethyst eyes, a red diamond at the center of her forehead, and three whisker marks on her cheek. Himawari wore a casual light pink business suit and yellow pants, with her short hair just brushing her lower ear lobes. Raven wore a purple hoody with jean shorts. "Mom," Raven spoke hesitantly, "w-will it be ok?"

Himawari smiles kindly at her daughter, "yes dear, your grandma and grandpa will absolutely love you. Plus, being part demon won't bother them one bit. Remember how I told you about your grandpa? He would never judge someone except by their actions. He'll absolutely adore you." She then takes Raven's hand into her own and walks into the front door of the main building. The whole family was sitting around a table talking when they walked in.

"Yo! Sis, you finally got... here..." Fuyotu petered off when she saw a younger girl shyly enter beside her. The whole room grew quiet as they took in the scene. Fuyotu stared at the young girl, slowly the implication dawned on her as she grew stars in her eyes. "Oh... OH! Oh, oh, oh! I have a new niece! Hima why didn't you ever tell us! Whose the lucky man? Is he still with you? Are you having more secret children? Can I do her makeup? Did you train her? Is she strong? Can I train her? Is-" Fuyotu was cut off her by Himawari who was growing a tic mark on her forehead from the bubbly girl's incessant questions.

"Fu, will you please calm down! You're scaring her!" she sighed in exhaustion. Not even five seconds here and already she's being bombarded with inquiry. She expected that, but it is still exhausting. "Yes this is my daughter, Raven. Raven, the excitable one is Fuyotu." She proceeded to introduce her to the family. "Now, yes I've been training her, yes she is strong, and no her father isn't in the picture," Raven flinched at each mention of her father, "nor shall he ever come near her. Because I will personally shove an Oodama Rasengan up his ass. Speaking of, we need to talk dad."

As Naruto got up, Boruto and Fuyotu got up as well. While Raven was guided to sit in between Dick and Saruto. Himawari then followed the other adults into the backroom. Saruto and Raven shyly started a conversation about video games they like, with awkward pauses thrown in intermittently. Eventually Dick joined in. While that was happening, Himawari was telling her story to her father and siblings. "So yeah, interdimensional demon chose me as the vessel for the gateway that will lead to our doom thanks to the cult hiding at the highest levels in LexCorp." Himawari rubbed her arm trying to forget about that moment. "It wasn't fun. But I did get a daughter out of it. I sent her mainly to live with the people in Azarath. They trained her mind, while I would occasionally come to train her body. Eventually though I realized that she would be safer her on Earth with family. Dad you can't follow mom just yet! I need you. Raven needs you. You're the strongest person I know." Himawari begged him. He looked shocked and angry, as did Boruto who was more angry than shocked. But Fuyotu was absolutely livid. So livid her pale blue eyes turned blood red, and her whisker marks darkened as Himawari felt Kurama's chakra coming from her. Himawari looked at her dad, shocked, "you already made the transfer!" Naruto nodded sadly.

"For the rest of my time, I'll take over Raven's training. We will not let that asshole have his way with her," Naruto grew determined and hugged Himawari, "I promise."

Himawari, for the first time in decades, broke down in her father's arms.

Naruto, for the first time since Haku's death, regretted his actions.
