When Marty Junior and Doc finally arrived at the now very run-down McFly residence, they were surprised to see Suzy passed out on the lawn.
"Doc, I'm not liking this. What if whatever future resident of this house came and beat her up?" Junior asked, upset to see his girlfriend sleeping on his former lawn.
"Don't think negatively, Marty Junior!" Doc assured him, taking note of the vehicles in the driveway. "She was probably shocked to see your dad's old black truck. At least, I think that's it."
"Given that my dad would be nearly 110 and that is clearly not his truck's rear end design, I don't think…" Junior was suddenly interrupted by Suzy coughing.
"Wh…what happened?" Suzy asked as she pulled herself up. "Last thing I remember, I was chasing a Tannen…"
"Chasing Tannens is bad news, Sooze." Junior said. "And I didn't mean to rhyme in that sentence."
"Well, I really do love it when you mix up words, or people in general." Suzy assured Junior sarcastically. Doc then noticed the gravestone Suzy had been laying on.
"Excuse me, Suzy, but whose funeral monument is that?" Doc asked.
"Uh, I don't know, Doc. Just some random person." Suzy lied, not sure she wanted to share the dark secret.
"Well, it's really not hard to see why you passed out. You probably had no idea how to work this 2070s model hoverboard and had a fall. You must have been too caught up in the excitement to catch Tannens." Doc explained.
"Oh yeah, that makes perfect sense." Suzy said, still finding a sizable gap in her memory. Still, there wasn't something else that had happened, was there?
Junior, meanwhile, was just happy the iPad was gone. "I think the mission was a success. Are you guys ready to go?" He asked.
"Actually, MJ…I kind of want to go to… 2045." Suzy grinned, noticing a piece of stone on the lawn that said 2045. She could've sworn there had been more to the stone, but it had definitely disappeared, and the possibilities of a time machine were still intriguing.
"That might actually be fun. We could sightsee, and see ourselves before getting old and wrinkly…" Junior realized.
"Wel, while it might be risky to see ourselves, I see no harm in it." Doc laughed. "I mean, it's a good year. There's some nice video games, and I'm pretty sure old Jaguars wouldn't be as out of place."
"Depends when they made the bubble car transition." Junior said, as the Jaguar suddenly shifted back to irs regular form.
"Huh, it's voice activated. That's pretty cool." Suzy realized.
"Of course. I have a lot of car smarts from those racing games I used to play. And while Pop was a bit strict about sightseeing, the future's not written. We just should accept what we see is one idea, of infinite possibilities." Doc replied.
"Well, you're certainly your father's son, alright." Junior said, noticing a crack in the Jaguar's window. "Wait, do you think someone was in here?"
Doc quickly glanced at the time circuits. "Not at all. It still says October 22nd, 2015. You're lucky there wasn't melee with your family. Pop always said that when they were in 2015-"
"Doc Senior went to 2015?" Junior asked. "With my dad?"
"Nevermind, I've said too much already." Doc quickly went to the car and opened its door. "Good thing it doesn't have gullwings, like that DeLorean Marlene and I saw in 1955…" Junior began.
"Is Marlene trapped there?" Suzy wondered. "Is that why she hasn't been around in a day? That's a shame, she was my friend."
"Yes, a most unfortunate loss, and hopefully we will find her again, and not as a grandma." Doc joked.
"Not the best of jokes, Doc." Junior sighed, as the three entered the Jaguar. It was a pretty traumatic time-travel experience, and this one had been much better so far. What the time-travelers didn't realize was that what awaited them next was going to be unlike anything they could ever have imagined.
