"I can't believe you"!
Rita flinched at her husband's accusation, Lynn had his arms crossed across his chest. he looked furious.
Lori shook her head and ushered the kids into the house, Leni and Lincoln comferted Lucy. the girl in question clung to Lincoln sobbing.
it's was bullshit and Rita couldn't believe she was the only one seeing it, Lucy's play crying. the entire car ride home was passed in stoic animosity between the mother and daughter, as soon as they get home, the water works start.
" Lynn please ".
Rita tried to reach out for her husband, recoiling when Lynn smacked her hand away.
" what you did completely betrayed all the trust that we had, I told you that Lucy was completely fine. you didn't respect my feelings and now our daughter feels betrayed.
Growing frustrated Rita tried to reason with Lynn but her husband refused to listen to her, Lynn surprised her a handful of papers, the words separation hit Rita like a slap in the face.
" what is this Lynn"?
Lynn sr shook his head sadly, " you did this Rita, I think we need some time apart".
gasping Rita clutched her chest, the dissapointment in Lynn's eyes stung. never had Rita thought that she'd hurt Lynn in such a way. this was Lucy's fault as well, to alienate her from her family.
" you need to stay somewhere else today, I don't feel comfortable around you right now".
crying Rita feels her who world crashing down around her, her marriage is in danger.
" I'm sorry Lynn, please don't do this".
Lynn thrusted several notes into his confused wife's hands, " go find a hotel for the night, in the morning you can come and get your clothes".
with that Lynn took the van keys from a numb Rita, turning Lynn walked up the porch steps leaving Rita distraught and alone.
inside Lincoln sat with Lucy snuggled next to him, it was terrible seeing his little sister this upset. even worse was knowing the role his mom played in this, " it's ok Luce" Lincoln whispered softly.
the little goth must of fallen asleep, smiling Lincoln gently picked up the Raven. balancing her weight with his while goingup the stairs, knocking on Lynn's door the jock takes Lucy from him.
a look of unusual tenderness overtook Lynn as she carried the sleeping Lucy, Lincoln himself was reeling. Since Lola's disappearance a month prior things had taken on a dark parlor, mom taking Lucy to Dr Lopez was messed up though.
sighing Lincoln tried to shake off the worry of the day, pushing his door open Lincoln isn't really surprised to see Leni.
ever since that night a month ago Leni would often come to Lincoln when she was sad and upset.
it was strange how close they had gotten, Leni was surprisingly thoughtful in her own way. Lincoln had discovered a whole other side to the sweet but ditzy teen.
they would talk for hours, Leni curled up next to him in bed. Lincoln couldn't help himself one night he asked the blonde why she kept coming to him, Leni smiled and took a minute to answer, " you make me feel happy"
that's all she would say, Lincoln himself was caught of gaurd but he felt incredibly happy.
Leni looked up from the comic she was paging through, smiling the blonde greeted him.
" hi Linky"!
Lincoln felt his chest flutter as his stress melted away, Lincoln pulled the door closed behind him silently.
in the room from across the hall Lucy crept from her bed, dressed completely in black the goth crept downstairs into the kitchen. grabbing a pair of rubber gloves, Lucy then slips a knife into the pocket of her black hoodie.
slipping out of the house Lucy followed the path to the cave by memory, Lucy finally had Lincoln's attention. despite her joy Lucy felt something nibbling at her, her mother was out of the house but still very much a threat. her mind rested with the rotten corpse of a former beauty queen, Lucy knew she needed to get rid of the body.
the sentimental part of herself was saddened to see her fist trophy go, the thought of losing Lincoln kept her on task. Lucy would do anything for him, to be with him...
