Later that very morning Little Vampire was supposed to be sleeping, but it was hard for him to sleep as he tossed and turned.
Little Vampire sighed and looked up at the ceiling in his room as he thought about what his mother and the Captain had told everyone during the family meeting that involved Ellie's strange behavior earlier that night.
Everyone was gathered in the auditorium and chatting until Pandora and the Captain came into the room then headed for the stage. "Settle down everyone." The Captain called out as everyone became silent quickly.
"Mommy, what's going on?" Little Vampire asked Pandora, she sighed after looking at her son. "We need to talk about Ellie." Pandora told her family; everyone was confused about why Ellie was the topic of this talk.
"I knew that girl was trouble!" Fantomate growled in anger, he stopped growling when Pandora gave him a stern look. "She's not in trouble, but I now know why Ellie didn't want to play on the ship." Pandora replied.
"Why didn't she?" Claude asked with a frown, this time the Captain stepped up. "Young Ellie would have changed had she stepped foot onto the ship." The Captain answered him, everyone gasped at he had told them.
"You mean that Ellie has a broken heart?" Ophtatlmo responded gently, Little Vampire was shocked as his parents nodded. "What can we do to help her?" Marguerite asked in an almost serious voice as he snacked.
"We must help heal her heart by finding out what caused it break." Pandora answered him, everyone wanted to help Ellie, so they all started shouting out their ideas to help the young girl heal her heart and quickly.
As everyone talked over one another, Little Vampire was stunned by the news that was just given, he really did want to heal his new friends heart, but if she changed then Ellie would get to stay with his family forever.
Little Vampire was sure that changing Ellie and having her as part of the family would be the best way to help heal her heart, but he didn't say this out loud as he knew that everyone would try to stop him right away.
Naturally, he'd ask for Ellie's consent to change her first instead of forcing her to go through the change, just because Little Vampire was a literal monster didn't mean that was a monster without a heart to guide him.
So, when Ellie came over the next night to play, Little Vampire would ask Ellie if he could change her using the magic from the Captain's ship just like it changed him and his mother three hundred years ago to this day.
"I really hope that Ellie will agree and if not then I'll try something else." Little Vampire whispered to himself, with that resolve in mind, Little Vampire was just about to fall asleep when he started to hear music playing.
Little Vampire got up and went towards his bedroom window and looked outside only to see Ellie on her way to school while playing a portable keyboard before she started to sing another sad but beautiful song again.
[Play Wings by Jeff and Casey Lee Williams]
[Ellie]
One life,
Is not a long time
When you're waiting,
For a small sign.
Patience,
Is hard to find.
Shadows,
Seem to fill your life.
Don't be disappointed,
Don't let your heart break.
Don't spend another minute,
In this way.
It's okay.
Dry your eyes now, baby,
Broken wings won't hold you down.
You'll take flight soon, baby.
You'll be lifted up,
And you'll be there.
(Music)
Twelve hours,
Is a long night.
When you're searching,
With no hope in sight.
Aimless,
On the inside,
And the damage,
Makes you want to hide.
I know that it seems pointless,
I know that it feels fake.
I know you can't stand the thought of,
Being stray,
One more day.
Dry your eyes now baby,
Broken wings won't hold you down.
You'll take flight soon, baby.
You'll be lifted up,
And you'll be there.
At the end of the song, Little Vampire could see that Ellie was wiping some tears away before they could fall completely. "Ellie." Little Vampire whispered sadly; he knew that she wouldn't hear him as he watched her cry.
Ellie put her keyboard away into her backpack then ran the rest of the way to school which left Little Vampire to stare at where his new friend had stopped to play that sad song like she was crying out for help, his help.
"That settles it. I'm going to heal Ellie's broken heart." Little Vampire whispered to himself; he went back to his bed after closing the blackout curtains then began to dream about what it'd be like for Ellie to live forever.
However, Little Vampire wasn't the only one to hear Ellie singing, Pandora and the Captain heard her as well and knew what their son was planning and instead of going to stop him, they wanted Ellie to decide her fate.
Both adults knew that their son would do anything for this young girl as he had fallen in love with Ellie although neither of them knew it yet, so they trusted the children to find a solution to the problem at hand soon.
Whatever Ellie chose to do with her life weather she stayed human or changed to join their ranks, Pandora and the Captain would give the children their full support as would everyone else in the house would as well.
Pandora and the Captain then went back to their bedroom in order to get some sleep for the whole morning and once night came, they would give Little Vampire and Ellie the support that they would need for the night.
All throughout the house, everyone was dreaming of ways to help heal Ellie's broken heart even Fantomate was planning on helping her out, but no one was as determined to help Ellie as Little Vampire was to heal Ellie.
New chapter done! I don't own the song in this chapter, please review and no flames!
