Season 1: Episode 7
Gathered at Brody's home the day after the funeral, the girls were all anxious.
"What is all this?" Becca wondered aloud."I mean, this, this message warning us of some sort of danger?"
Sarah nodded. "Yeah, I mean, who sent it and how do they have all our numbers…"
"Wait, Violet, that car you saw after you got that note to warn you? Could that have something to do with it?" Brody suddenly exclaimed.
Violet bit her lip, shifting where she sat. "I don't know...It could be, I mean, the warning is a similar style. Just through text instead of a note."
"Whoa, creepy." Becca muttered.
The girls all shared worried glances and then considered their options.
"So, what now, what do we do?" Sarah wondered.
Violet sighed. "That's the problem, we just have no idea what's going on and we have little or no information."
Worry consumed them as they knew Violet was right, there was just too many things they didn't know which left them vulnerable to whatever dangers this person was talking about. It was then Becca noticed something, a bran new USB stick sitting on top of Brody's desk, separate from everything else.
"What's this, Brody?" She asked.
Brody stood up and gently picked the USB up. "This is something important that I'll be showing at school tomorrow...unofficially."
"Brody?" Sarah asked curiously.
But Brody just stayed silent, with a slight smile.
Heading home that evening after more fruitless time spent speculating but getting no answers, Sarah sighed. Becca and Violet had also headed home, Brody had seen them off. It was strange while dealing with the concerns about the car Violet mentioned and the strange warning message. Yet at the same time, Sarah couldn't help but wonder about something else.
'What is Brody up to now, what is she hiding, she wouldn't tell us about that USB stick?' Sarah wondered.
She had to admit, that last part at least, it made her curious, but thankfully nothing worryingly suspicious. She took a deep breath and did her best to try and remind herself of the main focus right now, trying to deal with the sadness over the loss of Clem.
She shook her head. 'Clementine, how could this happen...for you of all people to die...It's just not right.'
She paused at the street corner and prepared to cross to the other side to get towards her house. That was when she saw it, just up the street, clearly watching her.
'That's, that's the car...the car Violet saw.' She realized in horror. 'N-no way, it's, it's that same one, it's following me.'
Suddenly feeling very panicked, she hurried across the street and to her home, looking around to try and make sure the car and driver wasn't able to see her before she slipped into her home and closed the door, trying to catch her breath, when her father stepped out of the kitchen looking worried and then even more so upon seeing her expression and Sarah knew that his over-protectiveness was about to get worse.

"You can't be serious!"
The Cheerleading coach glared at Rondi due to her outburst.
"Miss Pels. You will lower your voice." She said.
Rondi snarled. "Me...this is, Becca Jones should be kicked off the squad, the way she acted was-"
"Justified given you provoked her." The coach snapped.
Rondi tensed at that, seething. Despite her reporting things to the coach about Becca attacking her, she was getting this. Becca wasn't even getting reprimanded or more appropriately kicked off the squad for attacking her.
"But I didn't-" She burst out, unable to believe she was being blamed for it.
The coach shook her head. "That's enough, as I said, you provoked her and I've received plenty of proof about it. So drop it, unless you want things to get worse."
Rondi growled and stormed off, unable to believe this. Things were supposed to go her way, that was how it was supposed to go. But then something happened that made her confused, that being the PA system blaring to life again and calling the students for a school assembly. Shaking her head she walked off to the hall, wondering what nonsense they'd be dealing with now.
'Probably some nonsense about the Hutchison bitch getting herself killed.' She thought with a smirk.
She just rolled her eyes at the thought and joined the others in the hall.
Seated in the hall, Rondi had glared at Becca as she passed, Becca sitting with her friends, except for one, they all blatantly ignored her and it really annoyed her once and for all.
'How dare they, they're supposed to be grovelling for forgiveness, especially that bitch Becca.' Rondi thought angrily. 'At least one of those losers has the decency to not show her face. That slut Burress is gone somehow.'
Turning her attention back to the stage she saw the Principal stop talking, his announcement was gone from the projector and instead it was showing something else. That was when Brody appeared, on the stage.
"Miss Burress, what is this, you-?" The Principal began, glaring.
Brody looked at him with surprising contrition. "I am terribly sorry, sir. But please, whatever punishment you have in mind I'll take. But I must please ask that you let me talk and show what I've uncovered, it's important, a grave injustice has been done to someone in this school and I want to correct it."
There was a clamour of murmuring from the gathered students. The other teachers were all moving towards Brody, some shocked, others glaring but the Principal held up his hand to stop them, looking thoughtful and then finally sighed and nodded.
Brody took a deep breath and then spoke up.
"I'm sorry about this everyone, but the truth needs to be revealed. You've all been mistreating a certain student and with what I have to reveal, you'll see that's been a terrible mistake." Brody announced. "I'm going to expose the truth about the vile, fake, damaging rumours that you've been swallowing about Gabriel Garcia-!"
It was then Rondi noticed what was actually showing on the screen and she froze, colour draining from her face.
'N-no, it can't be...she can't-'
But then it began and Rondi knew if she tried anything, she'd be exposed as the one responsible. Brody it seemed had been through as she revealed the truth to everyone, the facts regarding the teacher who left, she had actually left as she had married and her husband was in the military, they had been assigned to a new base. All the stories about Gabe being perverted and taking pictures of girls with his camera were revealed to be false, the only girls he had ever taken pictures of had been those who had asked him or consented when asked. Worse, Rondi realized that she had already been exposed, all the messages she had sent, spreading the rumours, convincing various guys to believe them and several other bits of information that had been left out for people to find and spread for themselves. By the time she was done the whole hall was silent and not in a way that made Rondi feel comfortable.
Finally the shocked and in some cases, angry, whispering started. Becca looked over at the other girls, out of all of them she had the most doubt about Gabe. But now, with the truth exposed.
"Jeez, guys, this…" She whispered. "I can't believe it, all this time-"
They all just nodded, clearly shocked too. Finally the Principal seemed to recover and cleared his throat, talking loudly.
"Alright, that's enough, settle down…" He said and once it was quiet he sighed. "So...it seems that Gabriel Garcia has been unfairly treated by all of us. I wish to speak with you later Mr. Garcia."
Gabe nodded, face feeling rather hot and shocked at what Brody had done. Rondi looked around wildly but there was no way for her to get out.
The Principal finally turned to Brody. "While I do not approve of such actions Miss Burress, given the circumstances and what has been revealed, all I will say in this instance is...don't do it again."
Brody looked a little surprised but nodded, then the Principal spoke again, eyes narrowed.
"Rondi Pels, to my office at once." He said firmly.
Rondi knew then she was doomed and the announcement was ended prematurely with everybody being sent back to classes.
After the school day was done, after the others had discussed Brody's discoveries and all felt rather sorry about how they treated Gabe, so now they were all in their clubs with Sarah staying to watch, partly out of fear of being followed again.
"You're sure?" Becca gasped, surprised.
The Cheerleading coach nodded. "Well of course, especially with Rondi now no longer on the team and suspended...so Becca Jones, are you ready for your new job as Cheer Captain?"
Becca smiled. "Of course Coach, I'm always ready."
As she agreed to this they all began to get to work with their teams, Brody knew she had to be careful as due to Rondi's dismissal, Michelle was especially irate towards her. Luckily a positive change had happened as Gabe was now seen, being back on his old track team. There would still be quite a bit of rebuilding of trust to do and such, but this was a good start.
End of chapter, hope you enjoyed it, read and review please.
