"Can we go and ride my bike today in Central Park?" Gracie bounced up and down and looked at her dad who was reading the newspaper and had a day off work which Harvey didn't have in such a long time, probably since Christmas which was six months ago.
"So does that mean your stabilisers are ready to come off then little miss?" Harvey closed his newspaper and tickled Gracie who squealed with excitement.
"No, no daddy stop! Stop! Okay! I give up! I think I am ready." Gracie slid down her daddy's knees breathlessly as Gordon came into the room with two coffees in hand.
"I made you a coffee, I don't know if you wanted one or not or if you had one already, but here you go son,." Gordon handed his son a cup of coffee as Gracie looked up at her grandpa and then to her father who sipped his coffee.
"Hey how did you know I loved vanilla in it? You never ever make me a coffee in my entire life?" Harvey was shocked that his dad exactly knew how he liked his coffee in the mornings especially when he loved different types of coffee like lattes, espresso.
"Dad you love vanilla? You're such a girl!" Gracie laughed at him, as Harvey raised his eyebrow and sniffled a laugh in his coffee as he couldn't believe how cheeky his daughter was towards him.
Ten minutes later there was a knock on the door, and Donna answered it it was Mike, Rachel and the twins Roman and Tiegan they were also coming to the park with Gracie, Harvey and Donna because they were also learning how to ride their bikes and Gordon was also tagging along. Gordon was planning to spend another week with them, as he and Harvey were still sorting things out for him and trying to get settled here in New York. Donna hadn't been feeling well for the past few days but she was still going with on the walk to the park, Harvey suggested that Donna should make a doctors appointment to see why she wasn't feeling so well and also that she was nauseous every now and then.
Donna probably ate something rotten from that shitty Thai place that she loves, but Gracie and Harvey hate that place, Gracie won't even touch anything from there because her favourite food is pizza and fries as well as Chinese like her father. Gracie gets her taste buds from her daddy and Harvey can't be anymore prouder that she can be just like him. Gracie loves going baseball with Harvey and Gordon as well as Mike when he is available because he is also Managing Partner at the firm, so it depends when he is available so sometimes Harvey volunteers to take the twins along.
"Your here! You're here!" Gracie screams in excitement as she jumps up and down as she hugs the twins.
"We are going to the park and getting ice cream." Roman said to Gracie as he took off his jacket.
"I'm coming too and my daddy is going to take off my stabilisers." Gracie told her best friend who just smiled and sat down on the floor to play with her toys.
"My daddy took mine off weeks ago it's so easy, all you've got to do is get your balance right and then you've got it." Roman told Gracie frowned as she wasn't the first one to have her stabilisers taken off her bike in fact she was getting a little jealous of her friends.
"Well at least I have a pretty bike, yours is ugly!" Gracie stuck her tongue out at Roman and he had his eyes widened.
"Gracie Rose! We don't do that!" Donna scolded at her daughter who heard her being nasty.
"I didn't do anything mommy." Gracie pouted as the twins looked at her and then started to shout as Harvey looked at her way and frowned.
"Errr... Gracie no shouting, why are you shouting at your friends? I don't like your attitude young lady me and mommy didn't bring you up like this at all." Harvey went over to her and went down to her level to discipline his daughter.
"But the twins were looking at me in a strange away and I didn't like it! Make them go home daddy." As she started to cry and got into a tantrum as Harvey, made sure Gracie didn't scream and shout any more.
"Okay, you know what you're acting like a baby right now you know that right? Tiegan and Roman are behaving themselves more than you. Uncle Mike and Aunt Rachel are going to go to the park without you with mommy do you want that?" Harvey looked at his daughter who was crying her eyes out.
"Harvey it's okay she's only a child." Rachel said to him.
"I know babe, but she doesn't need this attitude does she? She should know better than this, we didn't bring her up like this." Harvey whispered in Donna's ear.
"I know, I know, honey but she's probably just jealous of the twins and we have to talk about this later when little ears are out of the way." Donna smirked at her husband.
"Can we go now I want to go to the park now!" Gracie opened the condo door to let out her friends and took her bike to the private elevator and pressed the button.
"Hey, hey guys wait a minute we aren't ready yet!" Mike called out to the kids who ran out of the apartment with their scooters and bikes.
The kids had ran out of the condo because they were extremely excited to go to Central Park, as they managed to gather their bikes and scooters and go to the private elevator at the condo waiting for their parents. The parents wanted their kids to run down their energy on their bikes and scooters as well as having some ice cream or a choice of frozen yoghurt because it would be easier to put them to bed that night as they had a ton of energy in them as they were screaming and had a lot of excitement in them.
Mike and Rachel didn't think it would be possible to have such energetic twins like Tiegen and Roman, but they were happy, especially Gracie who was an only child at the moment, Gracie did ask her parents when she would be having a brother or a sister but they were thinking about having another sibling for Gracie soon otherwise it'll never happen, Gracie was growing up extremely quickly and she wasn't getting any younger. Most of her classmates had siblings and she wasn't the only one in the class who was an only child in her class.
It was a chilly but sunny day in New York city, Donna and Rachel made the kids wear their autumn jackets to make sure they wouldn't catch a cold or even a cough when they went into the lobby of Harvey and Donna's apartment building before going outside, before the two families made their walk into Central Park to have their long walk, the three kids laughed and rode their bikes and scooters ahead of their parents when they made into the massive park as the best friends and colleagues laughed and talked about work and home life especially the kids.
"I don't want to wear my jacket!" As Gracie took off her jacket and rode her bike to catch up with the twins leaving Harvey and Donna shocked by their daughters actions.
"Okay you know what? Gracie Rose we are going back home see you later bye bye!" Harvey shouted out to her so she could hear with the crowd.
"NO! I don't want to go back home! I want ice cream!" She shouted back.
"Then you know what to do don't you?" Harvey held up her jacket to her.
"Gracie if you don't listen to daddy, we are going to get ice cream without you and you get nothing and you go to bed early tonight and that's the truth!" Donna gave her the warning.
"I don't want to wear it!" Crying and snatching it from her daddy putting it on the floor as Harvey took her off her bike kneeling down to her level.
"Okay, listen to me this isn't acceptable behaviour Gracie, pick up your jacket please you aren't having no ice cream and your going to bed an hour early tonight I gave you a warning and you didn't listen to me, you can't keep up this behaviour in front of your friends it's not nice." Harvey told his daughter calmly as he took her off her bike as he told Donna to take Gracie's hand as he took the bike as Gracie screamed jumping up and down in a tantrum.
"NO! GIVE ME MY BIKE BACK!" Gracie screamed as the public looked on where the screaming came from.
"Gracie calm down please your working yourself up." As Donna picked her daughter up.
"Mike, Rachel I'm sorry but we have to cut our trip short, unfortunately Gracie isn't behaving herself." Harvey told his best friends as he bought Gracies bike up to them as Gracie kept on kicking and screaming in Donna's arms as Harvey took her from his wife.
"Oh no! That's not good, well maybe next weekend we can do something else if you want to do something? Maybe the twins can think of something won't you kids?" As Rachel called out to Tiegan and Roman.
"YEAH!" The twins scooted back to them as they were a bit upset that Gracie was in a tantrum.
"Don't worry guys, kids are in tantrums all the time." Mike patted his best friends back for support.
"I know that dude, I know but today of all days." Harvey laughed a little.
