Notes:

Holy crap, it's over!

I finished it at long last!

Listen, I have a lot of like stressful stuff in my life going on, and I also really struggled with the Order meeting part. Because I wasn't sure if I wanted to end this plot line in this book or just continue it a little bit into the next book, and I was really struggling to figure out what to do, but then I just said fuck it. So I just continued the ending of this book into the next one because it was easier. So everything worked out, and I finished today.

I am so freaking happy with this book. I think it turned out freaking fantastic and I am so looking forward to the next book. I've already written three chapters like a psychopath. This last chapter is split into it two parts where it's the end of the book and then the epilogue.

The epilogue was something that I have been waiting to write since I started this book. I thought of the epilogue as I started writing this book. And I'm so glad I finally get to show it to you guys. You get to see what happens with the rest of it in the next book, but it's exciting.

ENJOY FRIENDS!

Three Days Later

8:38 am

Merlin was in his house dressed in black with a somber expression adorning his face. He was getting ready to go to Dumbledore's funeral, which they were holding today so that all of the students could still attend before they were sent home since they canceled the rest of the classes for the end of the semester because of the attack. However, before the funeral, there was going to be an order meeting. Mrs. McGonagall was hosting it. She planned for it to be at Hogwarts so that everyone who was attending could also attend the funeral that would be afterward. But also she was inviting everyone to the meeting, even the children. She also told Merlin to bring whatever reincarnations could make it. Right now, he was waiting for his friends to come. He informed them beforehand to come dressed in black, and he informed those who met Dumbledore what happened to him.

It took about 25 minutes to gather everyone, but Lancelot, who, as far as Merlin is concerned, doesn't remember anything.

"Merlin, are you okay?" Gwen asked; she came with Gwaine and Percival as they offered to drive her to his house.

Merlin didn't answer with a frown on his face.

Gwaine walked forward and wrapped his arm around his shoulder.

"Merls. You wanna talk before we go? Percival is great at listening." Gwaine said.

Percival rolled his eyes but smiled when Merlin looked at him.

"I am good at listening; I listen to this idiot talk for hours on end," Percival said, pointing to Gwaine.

" I could've saved him," Merlin whispered.

"Hey, don't beat yourself up about it," Gwaine said, not really as sympathetic as one could be.

"What do you mean, Merlin? You said he died in an attack on the school; you couldn't have known what would happen." Gwen said, walking to Merlin's other side and rubbing his arm.

"I saw it happen. I watched it..." Merlin couldn't finish his words, just staring at the ground, trying not to cry.

In all honesty, he wasn't Dumbledore's biggest fan, but he recognized Dumbledore as someone who was at least a passionate person fighting for what was right. All of his methods may not be amazing, but no one's methods ever are. Also, he believed it to be his fault that Dumbledore died. While he was going with the theory that it was his fault because he didn't save Dumbledore, which seemed far-fetched at best, the more he repeated it, the more he believed it.

Soon he just blamed himself for Dumbledore's death.

Gwaine, Gwen, and Percival didn't know what went down when Dumbledore died, but they knew it wasn't Merlin's fault.

Merlin was too nice for his own good.

Percival spoke while enveloping everyone in a big hug with his huge body.

"I don't know what happened, Merlin, and it's alright you don't have to explain yourself, but I know it's not your fault. I know it hasn't been long since we've met again, and I don't know you as well as these two, but I'm sure they'll agree when I say we trust you, and no matter what you blame yourself for, it's okay, it's not your fault, and we will get through this together. Merlin, you're a good person."

Gwaine and Gwen nodded.

"Yeah, Merlin, don't worry; we got your back!" Gwaine smiled.

Merlin was on the verge of tears for another reason now.

Before, he used to wallow in self-pity and self-hate before disappearing, hating how he couldn't do anything with the restraints of destiny. But now he has a support group. He has a family to rely on and lean on. It was new and different but really, really nice.

"I was there when he died." Merlin started telling his family what had happened.

"I saw the people who did it. I was in the shadows just watching." Merlin said, his frown growing deeper.

"I could've just shielded him...just one spell, and he'd be alive," Merlin said, looking angrier now,

"But...ever since...ever since...Arth-the king, died. Ever since he died, I can't interfere anymore. It feels as if my magic leaves me; it doesn't really, but it's a suffocating feeling; anytime I have the thought of changing someone's fate, I feel like I'll die. And even if I persist through and if I save them anyway, bad things happen, worse...much worse things follow because I defied fate. It's as much of a curse as my immortality. I have to live forever, watching the world forever, but I can't save those in front of me." Merlin said, leaning into his friend's arms.

Gwaine was angry, not at Merlin, never.

But he was angry at the world for hurting his friend like this.

They hugged for a few minutes while they reassured Merlin that it was definitely not his fault and that they would get through everything together.

While they were huddled in a hug, a car rolled up.

It was a silver and pretty scratched-up Honda Sudan. Out walks Leon and Bell. Both are dressed in black as per Merlin's request.

"Hello," Leon said, feeling guilty for interrupting the moment.

Gwaine left the hug after squeezing Merlin's shoulder one last time for good measure.

"Hey!" Gwaine said, walking to Leon and Bell.

"Hi," Bell said.

"Hello," Leon said, shaking Gwaine's hand in greeting.

Gwaine turned and introduced everyone who didn't know each other.

"Okay, so, Bell and Leon, this giant is Percival, and this beautiful maiden is Gwen," Gwaine said as his accent slipped into how it was in his previous life, with no hints of American.

Gwen rolled her eyes and went to say hi. Percival patted Merlin on the back a bit more, then also went to say hello.

Merlin tried to compose himself though he looked like he had just cried.

"Hello, Leon, Bell. Thanks for coming." Merlin said, walking to hug them both in greeting.

"I know us all meeting should be a happy occasion, but unfortunately, someone I work with passed. I'll give you a brief explanation and tell you about some important things. I work at a school on my days away from my shop. I work as a teacher along with my brother; he's not really my brother, but he looks like me because of magic, so for now, he's my brother, and we work at Hogwarts, which is a school for magical children. A few days ago, a bunch of people attacked the school, and after a lot of destruction and chaos, the headmaster died." Merlin said.

Bell looked horrified, "A school? Are the children okay?"

"Yes, the teachers worked quickly and were able to evacuate and drive the attackers out of the school before too much chaos. The second floor of the school is still a mess, but most of the injured are healed." Merlin reassured.

He had stopped by the med bay and offered to help the medi-witch since he was good with brewing potions and taking care of the ill with all his practice years ago with Gaius and the few times he went to medical school throughout the years.

"Today will be the headmaster's funeral. He was not only the headmaster of the school but also the leader of a war. At the moment, the wizarding world is divided between those who believe we should be hidden from muggles like yourself and continue life as usual. And those who want those of only pure magical dissent to rule the magical world and the Muggle world. It's a fight about blood purity and stupid decades-old traditions. It's been a feud that has been going on in the magical world for a very, very, very long time, and it's about as stupid as it sounds. Basically, this guy called Voldemort decided that wizards were supreme and those of pure blood were the rulers of the world and gathered up a bunch of like-minded individuals and started destruction and chaos in the world. Dumbledore was someone who fought against him for a very long time. However, unfortunately, there was a prophecy made, and prophecies are almost impossible to divert. I mean, our lives are a prophecy, so you can imagine a new one that's just as relevant as an old one. The prophecy is cryptic, but it basically means that this kid is the only person who could kill Voldemort. And that kid is Harry Potter. A boy who, at the age of one, killed Voldemort for the first time by a spell ricocheting back onto himself after not affecting Harry in the slightest. Everyone calls it a miracle, which it kind of is, but it's just magic, advanced, old religion-type magic but magic nonetheless. Never mind, it's not important. He survived, and people sort of worship him in a weird way. It's weird. Anyway, for the first time in a while, the latter side won and got a hold of a very important item that was in Dumbledore's possession. That was partially my fault since I dropped it on the floor and practically let Voldemort grab it." Merlin said, sighing about dropping the wand on the floor.

"What was it?" Bell asked curiously.

"Ah, this is an explanation that is long to give, but it is a wand that belongs to... presumably death. I don't know about that, though. But the wand was very important for something that I needed. However, when I picked it up, it was acting really weird and started to vibrate, and I really couldn't hold it for very long, which was why I dropped it. I'll have to ask Freya about that." Merlin said offhandedly.

Gwen perked up and asked, "You mean it's one of those items you were looking for, the death earthbound items or whatever?"

"Yes. I'll explain this to everyone later. Anyway, the most important thing you have to know is that my name it's not Merlin. I know it is Merlin, and I know you know it's Merlin however, people in this world call me something else. A disguise, if you will, because in this world, people idolize me as the great wizard Merlin. I thought I put a stop to those rumors years ago, but it seems in my absence, they became even bigger than intended. So I would appreciate it if, in front of company; anyone other than you lot would call me Myridian. Or Emrys if it's easier. Also, Bell, I have no problem with you coming with us; however, a few wizards might be bothered since you're not really involved in the darkest hour stuff; just pretend you were reincarnation. How would they know? Just stick to what's happening in this life. Just pretend you were the same back in the day and you have medical knowledge, so just keep it simple. If anyone tries to bother you or has any problems, just let me know. I'm just saying that as a precaution; I'm pretty sure everyone will believe me if I say that you're a reincarnation because they don't know otherwise."

"Is there a reason I can't come if I'm not a reincarnation?" Bell asked, confused.

"Well, there's no problem for me. And I'm sure nobody else here minds. However, as I said earlier, the whole keeping magic a secret from muggles thing prevents a lot. The only reason that they are letting me tell you any of this is because you are reincarnations. They don't see how you guys can help in the war. I tried to explain it to them, but they are old-fashioned if you will." Merlin said, rolling his eyes.

"Don't worry too much about it. I'll protect all of you no matter what." Merlin said, smiling.

Leon smiled, "Anything else?" Leon asked.

Merlin thought. "Well, after the meeting, we will attend the funeral; I'll have to go stand with the other teachers, so I'll leave you with some colleagues of mine. And then after that, we can head to my shop, and I'll either discuss further or just I'll introduce you to a few of my magical friends."

"Okay. I think I got it all."

"Yep, me too." Leon and Bell said.

"Okay, let's go!" Merlin said, holding his hands out.

Gwaine backed up. Percival also looked upset.

"What's up?" Leon asked about the look on their faces.

Gwen rolled her eyes and held Merlin's hand.

"These two are acting like babies," Merlin said.

"No! I need clarification. Are we doing it your way or the normal way?" Gwaine said.

Percival nodded.

"My way, hold my hand or grab my arm. Come on, let's not be late." Merlin said.

"Are we not taking the cars?" Leon asked as his car was still running.

"Oh, no, we aren't, here park in my garage," Merlin said, waving his free hand to open the garage with magic.

Leon and Bell looked awed but felt like it was a stupid thing to be awed by, as they had remotes to do the same already.

Leon parked his car and grabbed Merlin's arm; Bell grabbed his hand after grabbing her purse from the car. Gwaine and Percival grabbed his shoulders and waited.

Luckily for them, the wind started to pick up.

A whirlwind gathered at their feet and covered them, obstructing them from view until they disappeared.

The Order Meeting

10:20 am

Merlin's group landed near the front of Hogwarts, on the grounds but hidden, so no one saw them. He led his group of six into Hogwarts and brought them to an almost empty classroom. This was the selected meeting room, his newly reconstructed classroom.

After Merlin's group entered, the other inhabitants looked alive.

Harry Potter and his two best friends were in the left corner next to Sirius and Remus. Merlin smiled a sad smile and walked over, his friends following.

"Hello," Merlin said in greeting as he got closer.

Sirius waved; he looked like James Emrys still. Seeing as if Sirius Black showed up, that would cause major problems.

Harry didn't wave; instead, he looked cautious of Merlin, like he wasn't happy with him.

Hermionie and Ron waved, however, smiling but confused.

"Who are these people?" Ron asked.

Hermione glared at Ron's way of asking but was also curious.

Remus looked panicked as he didn't know why Myridian brought them; apparently, Myridian was the only one to receive the letter that said he could bring the reincarnations.

"Ah, these are my friends. They are going to help in the fight." Merlin declared.

Sirius looked a little skeptical. He understood the whole Darkest Hour concept, even though it's still kind of confusing. Especially with reincarnation and the fact that it's real, even though magic is real, reincarnation is something different, especially from the legends that these people were supposed to be a part of. He understood enough that they were reincarnations and they had come to help in the battle, but he couldn't figure out what humans, like normal Muggles, could do in a situation like this.

But the children misunderstood, assuming that they were wizards and witches, and just nodded their heads smiling.

Merlin figured that they misunderstood but introduced them anyway.

Hermione was probably smart enough to eventually realize where this was going.

"Guys, this is Hermionie, Ron, and Harry," Merlin said, pointing to the kids as he said their names.

"And kids, this is, Gwaine, Percival, Gwen, Leon, and Bell." Pointing to them as well as he called out their names.

Hermione tilted her head, "Like the Arthurian legend?"

Merlin smirked, "Yeah, kind of."

Hermione laughed, "It's like you've gathered the Knights of the Round Table to help."

"Wow, how'd you know?" Sirius asked, surprised.

He didn't realize she knew just from their names since he grew up never hearing that legend. He heard a twisted magical version that didn't include any of the knights.

Remus and Merlin simultaneously facepalmed together without realizing it. They were going to eventually tell the children, but not like that.

"Know what?" Ron asked.

"That these guys were reincarnations," Sirius answered, unaware of his two friends crumbling behind him as he kept talking.

"WHAT?!" Hermione exclaimed, looking at the reincarnations with new interest.

Gwaine was laughing at the defeat on Merlin's face.

"That's right; we are reincarnations." He said, grabbing Sirius' shoulder, still laughing.

Sirius looked confused; he thought Hermionie had known by how she was talking.

Merlin sighed, grabbing Sirius' other shoulder, "It's a popular muggle legend; she didn't know. She recognized the names from the legend." Merlin clarified.

Sirius made an 'O' with his mouth as he never expected this.

"Oops." He said, laughing.

Merlin let it go as he was planning on saying something anyway.

"Okay, so yes, they are reincarnations of the Knights of the Round Table; there is this prophecy called the Darkest Hour, which calls them back in order to fight evil," Merlin explains briefly since most of the Order members know this already.

Moody enters the room suddenly and walks over; he pauses next to Gwaine and Percival for a second before just moving on.

"I see you brought the muggles," Moody said to the group.

Merlin frowned and looked annoyed.

Gwaine wanted to punch the jerk but held back as he knew someone had just died.

Gwaine could be thoughtful at times.

10:00 am

After Moody came, he was soon followed by Mrs. McGonagall and a few teachers who were going to help end a few other Order members. The last person to show up with Kingsley, who looked at Myridian and Remus and walked over, deciding to stand by them.

Though he was curious about the group that was gaggled around Merlin but he didn't say anything waiting for the meeting to start. He only recognized two people in the group, but he assumed that the rest of them were of the same nature.

Once everyone was finally gathered, the mood suddenly changed. What were once friendly greetings and a somber mood turned into an icy and angry setting; one way or another, all of the people in the room wanted revenge, whether it was for Dumbledore or for their self they were ready to go. And this meeting was a precursor to the start of a new age, and unfortunately, that age predicted war, a war like no other.

"Welcome, everyone. I called this meeting to set a new precedent for the future. Since Albus will no longer...w-will no longer be at our side in this fight, I want you all to remember how hard he fought and to keep that within your heart so that when we face the battle's coming, he'll still be with us. That being said, I want this meeting to be a place for us to regroup and assess all of our allies and the weapons we have, and what we will do going forward. As hard as I know, this may be. I would like to ask some of the people who witnessed Albus' final moments to enlighten us about what happened exactly. I know this will be hard... But knowing what happened in his final moments will help us. Harry has volunteered to share." Mrs. McGonagall said, pointing to Harry as they had a talk before the meeting when Harry said that he wanted to talk about what happened because he wanted to bring to light what Snape had done.

Harry, who was silent this whole time, stepped up.

"I was with Dumbledore before he was killed. I- we were just having a chat in his office when the attack happened." Harry lied since Dumbledore said to keep the Horcrux hunt a secret.

"We ran to the top of the Astronomy tower because Dumbledore said that's where to go, and he told me to hide so that I could surprise attack the coming enemies."

Some of the Order members were listening with bated breath.

"But...he instead hid me with spells so no one would find me and silenced me so I couldn't make a sound," Harry said, his fists going into balls.

Mrs. McGonagall rubbed his back, so he kept going.

"Soon I heard footsteps and..."

Harry glared, looking at Merlin,

"And Draco appeared."

Merlin sighed but stayed quiet.

His friends looked confused and curious but also kept quiet. They didn't know who Draco was, nor did they understand why Harry Potter was staring, glaring at Merlin.

"I was confused as to why he was there because someone told me that they weren't a Death Eater, but he showed his dark mark and proved he was one," Harry said, looking to Merlin, who avoided his gaze.

Kingsley saw the weird looks and started drawing his own conclusions.

"After that, he disarmed Dumbledore. But then, for some reason couldn't go through with killing him. Dumbledore was trying to talk reason to him, and it was working until...that bastard...eh... I mean, Snape appeared." Harry said, correcting himself after Molly looked affronted that he cursed.

"Professor Snape?" Moody asked, not in the know yet.

"Yes. He was a Death Eater. He...he...killed Dumbledore with an Unforgivable curse." Harry said, struggling as he remembered what had happened that night.

Harry was going to continue, but Merlin stepped forward away from his friends.

"I then met Snape and Draco escaping," Merlin said, surprising Harry and everyone else who was present that day as he didn't say anything then.

"I confronted Snape, but he bested me for a moment and dragged Draco out of the room. I was going to give chase, but then I wondered what exactly they were doing up in the Astronomy Tower, so I headed up instead. Also, as I was running to the Astronomy Tower, I passed by several Death Eaters, and I assumed that if I followed them, I would have been outnumbered." Merlin said, lying.

Kingsley, Moody, and Remus all looked like something was wrong with this story.

Moody and Remus had a feeling that he was lying because they both witnessed Merlin up against Death Eaters and Voldemort himself, and he never looked overpowered or outnumbered in any of those situations. And Kingsley was wondering why he was going to the Astronomy Tower in the first place.

"I then found Harry," Merlin said.

"No. Voldemort was there first." Harry said, causing all the wizards and witches in the room to flinch except Merlin.

"Yes, that's right. I found Dumbledore's wand on the floor, and I picked it up the Dark Lord appeared. It seems like Snape had told him about me." Merlin said.

"Then we battled, and I had the upper hand, but..." Merlin frowned, not sure how to explain the wand.

"You tossed him into a wall," Harry said, making sure Merlin didn't leave any details out.

"No, I mean yes, but I didn't mean to. I mean, of course, I was planning on fighting, but the wand was weird; any spells I used amplified them. I tried to trip him, and I knocked him into the wall; then I tried to cast a light spell, and a fireball shot through the roof. I ended up dropping the wand, and the Dark Lord gained it and fleed." Merlin said, looking confused at the effects of the wand still. His magic had never acted that way before.

Sirius then stepped up and continued the story from when he arrived, and the other children chimed in, but Merlin couldn't shake this weird feeling he had.

After he finished telling the story of his events, he got this weird itch in his soul that he couldn't figure out what it was. He had moved off to the side, but he had a frown on his face and was clutching his chest. His friends were looking at him worried, but he hadn't made a sound that he was in pain or anything, so they didn't want to interrupt the mood of the meeting.

The meeting continued for a little while, everyone else telling their story of what happened that day and then figuring out a plan about what to do for Snape and the Dark Lord.

But soon, Merlin's friends weren't the only ones who caught onto Merlin acting weird.

Gwaine walked over to Merlin and wrapped his arm around him, and whispered,

"Merls?"

Kingsley saw the action but didn't hear what he whispered; from then, he focused on Myridian concerned.

Bell and Leon rushed over after noticing he was clutching his chest they were worried something was wrong.

Remus and Sirius caught onto something being wrong and walked over.

"Myridian?" Remus called out.

At this point, everyone looked at him. But he wasn't hearing anything; Merlin was just clutching his chest and staring lifelessly at the floor.

10:20 am

While everyone in the room was really worried about him, he couldn't answer them anyway. The weird feeling in his chest had magnified as he had been standing there, and it was like all the sound other than his own heartbeat was gone.

He felt something; something was coming, something powerful and strong, something old.

All of a sudden, he let go of his chest and gasped like he hadn't been breathing that whole time. Everyone was startled, but Merlin paid no attention to anything.

He even shook off Gwaine's arm heading to his desk to look for something.

"Myridian?" Gwen asked, walking up to him concerned.

He was fervently searching through his desk drawers as if he was looking for something very important, but he still didn't talk or say anything. All of a sudden, he reached all the way back into one of the desk drawers and pulled out a red-clothed drawstring bag.

Funnily enough, Sirius recognized it he had seen it once before when Merlin had grabbed it from his Gringotts safe. But he didn't know what was inside nor why Myridian had taken it.

Merlin smiled for a second, then grimaced before opening it; he dropped the crystal out onto the desk and stared at it.

Everyone saw the Crystal, but nobody knew what was so important about it or why it caused this chain of events.

However, before Merlin could grab the crystal, Gwaine's arm wrapped around his shoulder, snapping him out of it for the first time.

"Huh? Gwaine?" Merlin asked, confused, before he noticed everyone else in the room staring at him.

His face heated up in embarrassment as he realized he was just doing something weird in front of everyone. But the feeling didn't leave his chest he still had to confirm what it was he was feeling, and unfortunately, the crystal was the only way.

"Hey, buddy, what's wrong?" Gwaine asked as he saw Merlin's eyes gravitate to the Crystal.

"What's this?" Gwaine went to touch it, but Merlin slapped his hand away.

"Don't!" Merlin yelled.

"Ah...I sorry. It's just...don't touch it it's not safe." Merlin apologized.

Everyone in the room who had walked closer to see what was going on stepped back one step after Merlin had said that the crystal was dangerous.

Some of the people in the room wondered why it was in his desk in his classroom in the school if it was dangerous, so dangerous that you couldn't even touch it. It seems like a bad foresight to have it in the room where nosy children could get at it.

"Oh, is it like that gem in your vault?" Sirius asked.

"Nooooo. No, it's not that dangerous. It's not dangerous, really, if you know how to use it. I just have to check something, is all. I felt something; I just have to see clearly." Merlin said, looking as if he was lost in the crystal already.

"What is it then?" Sirius said, walking closer.

"It's called the Crystal of Neahtid; it's an old relic; it's not really important I just need to look into it," Merlin said, brushing the questions aside, and he picked up the crystal.

The effect was immediate the moment he grabbed the crystal it was like he couldn't tear his eyes away as the scenes of the future were flashing in the mirror images of the crystal.

He saw Morgana briefly, then he saw Mordred for a second, and then a face he never thought he'd see again appeared.

Merlin dropped the crystal shattering it.

A few people in the room flinched because Merlin had called it a relic, and those things tend to be important, but there it was, shattered all over the floor.

"Mer-Myridian?" Gwaine said, correcting himself.

Merlin's face was shocked.

"No way...no way!" Merlin loudly said in a whispered tone as he repeated those words and backed up.

Not a second later, he disappeared in a crack of apparition.

...

After Merlin disappeared, questions swarmed around the room, but nobody had answers; not even the reincarnations knew what was going on with their best friend.

Begrudgingly the meeting continued on, and then it ended with no sign of Myridian in sight. Before long, they had to stop the meeting because the funeral was about to start. Either way, when Myridian came back, he had a lot of explaining to do.

The Order, for the moment, scheduled another meeting after the funeral was over. They assumed Myridian would come back by then, and they could have dinner together while he explained what exactly the fuck was going on.

Remus and Sirius took charge of the reincarnated people acting as their tour guides, walking them around the school, and leading them to the funeral.

The Funeral

12:45 pm

Silence fell across the wizarding world on this day. Mrs. McGonagall stood on the podium looking out to all those dressed in black mourning the death of Albus Dumbledore.

Mrs. McGonagall cleared her throat before starting her eulogy for her good friend,

"The loss of a powerful ally of the light was felt by everyone, even those standing in the dark. The death of Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore was a death that will never be forgotten throughout history. A man who defied the limitations of wizardkind throughout many generations. A good, kind, and honest man, who fought against evil his whole life, will be remembered, and his death will not be in vain. No, his death will not be in vain; all the souls that he had touched throughout his long life will carry on his legacy and fight for what is right and just. His death was not a loss to the light but rather powerful encouragement to continue the fight and take down He-who-must-not-be-named once and for all." McGonagall said, empowering the crowd even amidst the sadness that was permeating the air.

A change was going to come, a change that would throw off the world of magic as we know it, but whether it was for the good or for the bad was yet to be decided.

But change was happening even if nobody saw it, even if nobody felt it; the change was happening all over the world.

The effect of this war would impact the lives of witches and wizards for generations to come.

The stories that will be passed down in history will be unbelievable and legendary. Well, they're already legendary, but nobody knows it yet.

Maybe not even the legend himself.

With the death of Dumbledore, the balance has been tipped.

The state of magic on earth is shaking, unstable even.

No one would know this, only someone of Merlin's caliber.

Except someone else catches on to the fact.

With the magic of the old religion not being balanced out, someone took advantage of it.

Even from beyond the grave, magic is still persistent in one's soul.

Another old soul is born again.

Epilogue:

The shores of the lake somewhere

10:24 am

A light drizzle was happening all over Europe.

Since the death of Dumbledore three days ago, it had not stopped raining.

On the day of his death, the sky thundered and cried a raging storm, but now it was but a simple shower encasing the lands because even after death, time moves on. And death brings life even in the grimmest of circumstances.

Near one particular sandy beach, the weather was calm and quiet.

The sun was shining underneath the clouds, and there wasn't a dark cloud in sight.

A very odd occurrence was happening. The lake that the beach surrounded was calm; no wind nor fish rippled the water. It was unnatural. It seemed like life itself was at a standstill here, like they were waiting for something to happen with bated breath.

It happened rather slowly; the lake, which was calm, started to move, and one little ripple from the middle of the lake grew.

Soon not just one but tens of ripples were forming coming from some point in the middle of the lake. It looked like something deep within the lake was rising.

A dark blob was pushing its way to the surface at a fast pace.

All too soon, it breaches the surface, and a head appears, followed by a body.

Floating above this unassuming lake was a person who rose from its waters.

They were dressed in weird clothes, medieval in nature, and looked a bit ragged.

They were also sopping wet.

The person soon glided to the shores, where they were gently placed down with elegance. It took a moment before they got their barrings. The sun was rather bright on their unused eyes, and the air was tough to breathe.

The person looks ahead and sees a rather large truck drive by in the distance behind an old wooden bench on a black paved road.

The person opened their mouth and, with an unused soft voice, said to themselves,

"Well, that's...different."

To Be Continued...

Notes:

Also, since it's the end of the book, I'm going to be creating a new book so look out for it. I don't really know the name of the new book yet I forgot what I chose for it, but it's something along the lines of Harry Potter, and the blah blah blah so just look for that very soon cuz I've already written the first three chapters, and I will not wait for uploading them.

I have so many cool ideas for the next book that I can't wait to implement; hopefully, I can get it all in there. Also, the next book will be twice as long because I'm going to try to fit in the last two Harry Potter books in that one book. Basically, it's just going to be an extra long book; I'm expecting like 50 chapters, but who knows because I write too much.

Also, I can't wait for the rest of the characters to come in. There are still a few reincarnations that need to appear. And also, there are a few relationships that I planned on keeping from the books in my book. It's cuz there are a few children that I want to exist in my book, and for that to happen, their relationships and parents need to get together, so if you can guess who I'm thinking of then feel free to get excited for that relationship to happen at some point. That was really confusing, but I don't want to spoil anything. Just look forward to people getting together and babies being made far into the future.

Also, for those of you who may or may not remember, I talked about writing a spin-off going into the Marvel Universe, and I still plan on doing that. So hopefully, once the last book finishes, I can get started on that.

The last book has to finish before I get started on that because the Marvel Universe spin-off happens like 6-8 years in the future. So I hope you guys look forward to that as well, even though it seems far off in the future. I wrote the outline for that as well, but I haven't started any chapters or anything like that. I can't start writing that book because I don't really know how exactly I'm going to end the next book I'm writing, and I don't want to start writing that stuff and then have to change it if I do something weird in the next book. Also, it spoils the end of the last book, so I can't post it yet.

Anyway, thank you, guys, for reading and enjoying my two books in the series so far. I am so happy with all the positive feedback, and I love that you guys are enjoying the story. I'm planning on posting the next book very soon since all I have to do is edit and just create the next book really, but after I post like three to four chapters, I'm going to take a little break from writing this book so that I can actually work on my others Fanfictions that I have completely abandoned while writing in this glorious book.

I'm just going to take a Hiatus long enough for me to update at least two to three chapters in my other books, and then I'll come back. Depending on how much of a psychopath I am, it could be a short break or a long break. It just depends on how pumped I am for writing, really.

Anyway, seriously, thank you, thank you, thank you for reading and sticking with this long-ass book.

I'll see you when I see you; peace!
