19 BBY

It was a beautiful morning on Coruscant and one of those rare occasions where Anakin actually got some time off from his duties. He had proven himself countless times to the Jedi council that he deserved at least a morning free from his duty and a morning to himself. So, that is exactly what he had. Rolling over to see his sleeping beauty of a wife next to him, he smiled big and moved his arm around her waist, resting his hand against her bump and kissing on her bare shoulder slightly. "Good morning." he mumbled, into her neck.

Padme mumbled sleepily slightly before turning in his arms, "Good morning." She smiled softly, looking at him. "I should not get used to waking up to you every morning." She chuckled.

"It is most definitely my most favorite thing to do." he whispered back, nuzzling her nose slightly.

Padme pouted, "Except you have morning breath." She said with a smirk. Anakin laughed and rolled his eyes, "Jedi don't get morning breath." He teased.

"Then you must not be a Jedi because it's awful." She teased back.

"Oh yeah?" He grinned, playfully tickling her and breathing on her playfully. She squealed and tried to fight him off but being heavily pregnant didn't work too well in her favor. They both laughed softly before he stopped and hovered over her slightly.

"I can't wait to grow old with you, watch our baby have their own babies, live their lives." Padme whispered to him. Anakin smiled softly and kissed on her chin.

"Once the baby is born, I think It is time for me to leave the order." Anakin whispered softly, leaning on her gently.

"But Anakin, you love it so much." Padme said, arching her brow slightly.

"Yes but I love you more. I love our baby more."

"But you said it yourself, you'll want more…" She whispered, sitting up slightly.

"Perhaps this is my more." He nodded watching her. "My wife, raising my child and some day children. Growing old with my family and watching them be happy." He said with a smile. "I couldn't think of anything more perfect than that…I'll find something I love to do." He nodded, referring to work.

Padme watched him as she stroked her bump slightly, "Only if you're sure." She smiled softly.

"I'm sure." He smiled, kissing her cheek before getting up to make breakfast.

"This is the ship huh?" Padme asked, seeing the imperial ship right ahead. Owen nodded his head and looked at her.

"Are you sure about this?" he asked knowing how dangerous this was.

"I'm sure." She said simply, grabbing a few things. "Thank you for taking me this far and please, if anything happens to me…take care of my children."

"With our lives." Beru added before hugging her tightly.

After an emotional goodbye, Padme stepped in the escape pod of the ship and took a deep breath before flying towards the imperial ship. This was so scary but she had to do this, she had to be brave, her babies were on this ship and they must be so scared. As she got closer to the ship, she began losing controls as the imperial ship pulled her in. This was it. Stepping out of the ship, she held her hands up as a prisoner and let the guards take her. She was not afraid of death, she was afraid of losing her children and she would do anything to protect them.

"In trouble your padawan is he…" The voice of Yoda rang through Obi-Wan's ears, he had been hiding on Tatooine for some time now. Since the Jedi failed to stop the Empire and lost the galaxy, all Jedi had to go into hiding and that was exactly what Obi-Wan did. "Go to him, you must." Yoda's voice again. "Your destiny, it is.." and once more.

Obi-Wan shot up from his sleep, "Anakin." He whispered out. The last time he saw Anakin was when he got him and baby Leia to safety, before going to fight in the war. A war that defeated him and many of the Jedi fighting alongside him. Obi-Wan was out of touch that was for sure, but he could not allow Anakin to fall, he could not allow him to die or be in pain, he was his master and he couldn't give up on his apprentice, even if he was a Jedi Knight of his own, or at least was.

Instantly shooting up, he found a spot to meditate and reconnect with the force once more. He could not just go into this, he had to reconnect. "Search your feelings, you must." Yoda's voice whispered in his ears again. "Ally the force, it is." Obi Wan's heart began to race as he felt it all come rushing back. "Flows from the force, a Jedi's strength does." and again. As Obi-Wan delved further into his mediation, he could almost sense where Anakin was or at least where he was heading and knew that whether this was the end of him or not, he had to do something to help.

"Daddy is coming, I just know it." Leia said softly to Luke, the pair hadn't let go of each other's hands since they reunited. It was comforting and together they felt they could take on anything.

"Good, I don't want to be here anymore."

"Neither do I." Leia said softly.

"What if he doesn't come?!"

"He will. I just know it."

"But how do you know?" Luke asked.

"Because daddy always says to me, 'No matter how far you go, no matter the distance, if you are lost or simply somewhere else, I will always find you.'" Leia said softly to him. Luke's eyes widened.

"Mommy says that to me too." He said with a smile.

"Then it must be true."

Padme was so sad, Anakin was leaving her for an 8 month stint in the outer rim territories after the clone wars had hit hard there. She was clinging to him.

"I'm not sure I can let you go." she whispered to him.

"I know, I do not want to let you either but we must." He whispered, holding her so tightly, so protectively, completely unaware that she was in the very early stages of pregnancy.

"What if I never see you again?" Padme asked, she was very good at rationalizing things but when it came to Anakin, she couldn't bear the thought of not having him.

"Don't talk like that Padme." He said moving his hand to her cheek.

"But.." Anakin cut her off. "Padme, it does not matter how far you are from me, no matter the distance, whether you are lost or simply somewhere else, I will always find you and I will always come back to you." He whispered, kissing the top of her head.

"Why do you think we are here?" Luke asked her, she seemed to know a little more than him but only because Anakin was open and honest with her.

"Daddy is in danger, some really bad men want to hurt him and I think these people are trying to find daddy. They know he will come for us." Leia said so innocently but so intelligently.

"Do you think they will hurt us?"

"No. Daddy won't let them." She whispered.

"But he's not here." Luke added.

"He will be."

"How do you know?"

Leia looked to her brother, "Close your eyes and take my hands." She said softly, moving to sit in front of him. "Daddy taught me this." She whispered, as she focused and closed her eyes too, his hands in hers. "Do you feel that?" She asked him.

"Yes, what is it?" Luke asked softly.

"It is the force…you have it too. Powers like daddy." She said with a small smile. "Daddy said whenever I feel scared or lost, close my eyes and feel the force. It makes me feel safe and when I feel it, I know that daddy will always keep me safe." She said, opening her eyes again, Luke opened his and smiled softly, instantly feeling better.

"Senator Amidala, I've been expecting you." Darth Sidious said to her as she was escorted into his throne room. Padme clenched her jaw and looked at him.

"I can only assume you are blinded by this darkness, a fool to believe you have truly won." She said simply. The Emperor laughed.

"The galaxy is under the control of the Empire, I believe it is you who is blinded…blinded by hope." He said with a smirk, Padme clenched her jaw.

"My children…where are they?!"

"They are safe…for now." He smirked. Padme flinched slightly at his words and looked at him. "You will see them in time, upon the arrival of Lord Vader, you will see them."

"Anakin! His name is Anakin and he is not your puppet!" She spat.

"Lord Vader's connection to the dark side of the force is far greater than you could ever imagine and you are foolish to believe otherwise." He spat, getting rather tired of her answering back.

"I do not believe that. You lack the true understanding of Anakin's loyalties and his true power. You could not turn him to the dark side and you will fail to do so again." Padme told him, she truly believed Anakin had so much strength to avoid it but what she didn't know was that every moment he was away from her, was a struggle, a struggle that led him one step closer to the dark side of the force. A struggle that only Leia could get him out of by simply breathing, but now he had neither of them and he was falling, falling fast.

"Then perhaps we put his true nature to the test." Sidious said simply, before signaling for her to be escorted out.

Anakin had sped through light speed until he was finally in the imperial zone. Seeing the rather large ship in front of him, he clenched his jaw and swallowed hard. His eyes had gone yellow with anger, anger towards Palpatine and his need to kill. A part of him had forgotten the true meaning of why he was going there and his loyalty, his pull to the dark side would truly be tested.

As he approached the ship, he grabbed his lightsaber that he had not used properly in 5 years and was prepared for anything.

Sidious smirked as he felt his presence. "Prepare for Lord Vader. He is near." Sidious said with a smirk, before leaning back and letting out a rather eerie sigh of relief.
