The next morning, the New Directions were meeting once again, still dreading the pep assembly. Kurt and Mercedes had gotten into a fairly heated argument about fashion. Grace tried her best to tune her two best friends out with their fighting as she began to stretch to get ready for rehearsals, Artie rolled up to her.

"Hi Artie," Grace smiled softly "What's up?"

"Tina told me how you stood up for me to Rachel at the rehearsal when Finn came back and I wanted to thank you for it," Artie smiled softly.

"Oh it's no trouble whatsoever. I meant everything I said that we're a team and we should all work together. Besides, I just wanted to make sure you were okay. I know the stuff most of the jocks pull and it's not cool," Grace said seriously as Artie nodded.

"Well I truly appreciate everything you did and I definitely won't forget it," Artie said seriously as Grace smiled softly, feeling as though she had gained a friend but her thoughts were interrupted by Mr. Schue arriving.

"All right, guys. How about a little Kanye?" Mr. Schue smiled as he began to hand out the sheet music as many of the New Directions gasp in excitement.

Grace wasn't as excited for the song since it wasn't really in her wheelhouse, but she faked a smile. It had to be better than disco right?

"For the assembly?" Mercedes asked in a hopeful tone.

"No. We won't be ready in time. We're still doing disco," Mr. Schue said as the New Directions' faces fell "But we can fold this into our repertoire and it'll be awesome at regionals. Communication is the foundation of any successful music group. If we're gonna succeed, we need to communicate. You guys said you wanted modern music, I listened."

"Mr. Schue, we'd really like to not do disco at the assembly," Artie said awkwardly.

"Finn, you're gonna take the solo," Mr. Schue said ignoring Artie's complaint as Finn looked back at Mr. Schue fearfully.

"What? No, I- I can't do the solo, Mr. Schue. I'm still learning how to walk and sing at the same time," Finn said awkwardly.

"No problem. I'll walk you through it," Mr. Schue shrugged.

"Ooh!" the Glee Club murmured.

"Challenge," Mercedes smirked.

"Hey, Mercedes. You know this?" Mr. Schue asked.

"Oh, I got this," Mercedes grinned as she began the solo to 'Gold Digger'.

Mercedes:
She take my money, when I'm in need
Yeah she's a triflin' friend indeed
Oh she's a gold digger way over town
That dig's on me.

Grace tried to follow along to the sheet music, being that she was completely unfamiliar with the song.

(New Directions) Will:
(She give me money) Now I ain't sayin' she's a gold digger
(When I'm in need) But she ain't messin' with no broke broke
(She give me money) Now I ain't sayin' she's a gold digger
(When I'm in need) But she ain't messin' with no broke broke
(I gotta leave) Get down, girl, go 'head, get down
(I gotta leave) Get down, girl, go 'head, get down
(I gotta leave) Get down, girl, go 'head, get down
(I gotta leave) Get down, girl, go 'head

Will (Artie):
(She give me money) Cutie the bomb
Met her at a beauty salon (When I'm in need)
With a baby Louis Vuitton
Under her under arm (She give me money)
She said, "I can tell you rock
I can tell by your charm (When I'm in need)
Far as girls you got a flock
I can tell by your charm (I gotta leave)
And your arm but I'm lookin' for the one," (I gotta leave)
Have you seen her?

Mr. Schue took off Artie's glasses during the 'Have you seen her part' seeming to play around a bit to the lyrics, he gave Artie back his glasses after going around to help everyone out.

New Directions:
No, we ain't seen her

(New Directions) Will:
(She give me money) Now I ain't sayin' she's a gold digger
(When I'm in need) But she ain't messin' with no broke broke
(She give me money) Now I ain't sayin' she's a gold digger
(When I'm in need) But she ain't messin' with no broke broke
(I gotta leave) Get down, girl, go 'head, get down (Get, get, get, get down, oh)
(I gotta leave) Get down, girl, go 'head, get down
(I gotta leave) Get down, girl, go 'head, get down
(I gotta leave) Get down, girl, go 'head (Get, get, get, get down, oh)

Rachel directed Tina and Grace who joined in singing, smiling softly together as they seemed to be enjoying themselves. Grace had to admit, the song was kind of catchy, even though it wasn't something she necessarily liked performing, it was kind of fun to perform with the group.

Will (Mercedes):
(She give me money) Eighteen years, Eighteen years
(When I'm in need) She's got one of your kids, got you for eighteen years
(She give me money) I know somebody payin' child support for one of his kids
(When I'm in need) His baby mama's car crib is bigger than his
(I gotta leave) You will see him on TV, any given Sunday
(I gotta leave) Win the Super Bowl and drive off in a Hyundai
(I gotta leave) She was supposed to buy your shorty Tyco with your money
(I gotta leave) She went to the doctor, got lipo with your money
(She give me money) She walkin' around lookin' like Michael with your money
(When I'm in need) Shoulda' got that insured, GEICO for your money, your money
(She give me money) If you ain't no punk
(When I'm in need) Holla we want pre-nup

New Directions:
We want a pre-nup, yeah!

Grace giggled as they finished.

"All right, just like that. Ready?" Mr. Schue asked as the New Directions nodded, excited to take on performing something recent but wishing that this was instead their pep rally performance, sadly their teacher wasn't going to take their feelings into consideration.

Meanwhile, Quinn was in the cafeteria putting up more posters for her homecoming campaign where she was approached by quite possibly the last person she wanted to see, given what could possibly be true about her, Puck.

"What do you want?" Quinn grumbled annoyed.

"Is that any way to talk to me after our night together?" Puck smirked as Quinn rolled her eyes.

"I don't know what I was thinking," Quinn said quickly, not looking up from her work.

"You were thinking of getting an upgrade from that doofus boyfriend of yours," Puck said as Quinn glared at him.

"I thought you two were best friends," Quinn said.

"We are," Puck shrugged "That doesn't mean I don't realize he's an idiot for choosing to join homoexplosion when you want him out."

Quinn seemed to consider what Puck was saying, especially since it made the most sense to her. Finn should have listened to her when she wanted him to leave the Glee Club.

"You and I both know you should dump the loser and go for the real prize," Puck smirked.

"I thought I did that when I stopped seeing you," Quinn shot back icily.

"Ouch. Well don't be surprised if your boy doesn't win homecoming king, especially since those losers in the Glee Club are performing at the pep assembly. I really think you should reconsider my offer and go for the real king," Puck smirked as he walked off as Quinn sighed realizing Puck might have a point, but she loved Finn and didn't want anything to jeopardize their relationship to free him up with be with the likes of Rachel Berry, that was something Quinn was going to make sure that never happened.

Grace glared at Puck seeing him walk away from her twin, she knew whenever he approached her, it was trouble, especially since the two hadn't spoken since that night according to Quinn.

"Please tell me you weren't just talking to him," Grace said, annoyed as Quinn sighed.

"He's not the enemy Gracie," Quinn said simply.

"After what he did to you? I beg to differ," Grace said upset, and unknowingly somewhat loudly.

"Keep your voice down!" Quinn shot back at Grace in a whispery tone.

"I'm sorry...I just don't think you should be alone with him ever again," Grace said quieter.

"Please. What is he going to do to me in the middle of the cafeteria?" Quinn said, raising an eyebrow.

Grace knew her twin had a point, but she couldn't help but worry about her. "You know what I mean," Grace sighed.

"All I know is Puck has given me a lot more than Finn these days and maybe I need to reconsider who I'm with," Quinn said as Grace laughed, shaking her head.

"What's so funny?" Quinn demanded, slightly annoyed at her sister.

"If you really do that, you seriously have a messed up view of what you should be doing Quinnie," Grace said simply as Quinn scoffed.

"All I know is my popularity is suffering because of Finn and whatever is going on between him and that thing. Puck is just as popular as Finn, granted he's not the quarterback but if I'm getting a better offer to stay popular, why shouldn't I go for it?" Quinn said simply as Grace rolled her eyes.

"You're right Quinn, it's all about status and not who actually cares for you and will treat you well. If you want to mess up your life more than you already have, go ahead, dump Finn for Puck but you and I both know it'll end in nothing but regret," Grace said simply as Quinn shook her head, completely disagreeing with her sister.

"You don't know that. Puck might surprise you. I know he surprised me when he was so sweet to me that night," Quinn said simply.

"He did it to get into your pants, why can't you see that," Grace said in a hushed tone, gritting through her teeth.

"I'd like to think my first time was more than that Gracie and if you can't see that well, maybe I made a mistake telling you the truth," Quinn said softly as Grace looked stunned. Quinn was actually taking the side of someone who hurt her over her own sister? It just didn't make any sense.

"I'm really hurt that you feel that way Quinn...from now on, I'll keep my opinions to myself about him but if he hurts you like I think he's going to, I'll be right here," Grace said seriously as she walked away.

Quinn watched her twin leave, wondering if her judgment was off. Was the bad guy everyone thought he was or was the version of him Quinn could see at times who he truly was? She wasn't sure. All she knew was she had a huge decision on her hands to either stay with Finn or get with Puck, neither option seemed perfect but she knew she had to suit herself before anyone else.
