Silence.

That's what followed through the arena. Izuku had just been designated to give a speech, and blew it entirely. The awkward silence lasted 2 minutes. Two painful minutes that felt like two decades.

"A-And that was a speech from Class 1-A's Izuku!" Midnight said, concluding it to spare the boy from the spotlight. He pulled his ears to his face to cover himself from the world as he descended the podium. This action did get the reaction of people "Aww"-ing at him, which made him rejoin the crowd faster. Most of 1-A didn't have much to think about regarding the speech, but it was nice to know what Izuku's name actually was! Though, as Midnight continued with an explanation on how the upcoming challenges would work, someone found themselves having floods of memories come in due to the name.

"Izuku."

"IZUKU."

"DEKU!"

Katsumi's fist clenched and tightened as smoke seeped from her fist. She knew an Izuku. A long time ago. He was…her only real friend. She looked up at the crowd of her own classmates and began to look for Izuku. Just as she laid eyes on the back of his head everyone got moving again. Damn it, she hadn't paid attention! The horde of students walked to their first challenge, all in a clump before the beginning of a tunnel.

The students stand ready for the impending race. Everyone stood ready to see the red light in front of them go green, and looking forward to the tunnel ahead. But Izuku was aiming a little higher. Anyone who looked down would see that he was at the ready to pounce. And for good reason. Izuku knew that everyone was about to be cramped.

The light turned green and Izuku shot from his spot on the ground and landed on someone's head. The yelped as they were pushed forward by the tidal wave of students, with Izuku leaping from head-to-head as the people below him became more and more packed into the hallway. Izuku could see the light at the end of the tunnel, and drew on the air around him as it began to chill. Balls of compressed air exploded from his feet in a cone shape as the floor under the students was frozen.

"And it seems that Izuku has taken the lead! Following behind him looks to be Shoko!" Present Mic announced, as Izuku came flying out of the hallway. Todoroki gritted her teeth and formed a path a path of Ice and began to propel herself forward on it to catch up with the rabbit.

After the initial air burst, Izuku lit ablaze as he flew forward as a fur covered comet. He could hear the sound of ice crackling as Todoroki tried to keep up with Izuku. He looked back at her, making eye contact for a moment. She seemed to be oddly enraged with him right now, but it wasn't his problem at the moment. He just huffed at her, and turned up the speed with more fire and a strong blast of air the blasted into the peppermint girl and knocked her back while propelling him forth. While moving at such high speeds, Izuku could see something he was approaching rapidly. It was…those giant robots from months ago.

"May I introduce you to the challenge on this part of the race: THE ROBO INFERN- oh my god little listener."

"You didn't seriously think those would still be a challenge right."

Mic's sudden cutoff of her own announcement came from the fact that Izuku barely acknowledge the fact that the robots were in his path and seemed more confused than anything. Because he flew RIGHT THROUGH SOME OF THEM. Holes were put into the chests of the 0-Pointers as they fell backward into each other, making the new challenge for the other contestants to get around the robots.

"Izuku what the heck! Least you could've done was knock them out of the way instead of in our way!" Kirishima shouted in the direction the boy flew. She quickly vaulted and smashed her way through the robot corpses, while others found different ways. Like how Bakugo was doing something similar to Izuku and was just flying over everything using her explosions.

"DEKUUU! GET BACK HERE!"

Meanwhile, said rabbit boy was laid out on the ground. He was almost motionless except the twitching of his arms and legs. Turns out barreling through multiple robots did have negative effects.

"WHAT'S THIS? IZUKU HAS MADE IT ALL THE WAY TO THE THIRD CHALLENGE! THE MINEFEILD...I-Is he okay?"

"You try headbutting through multiple layers of steel."

"W-WELL, ON THE OTHER HAND, THE REST OF THE PARTICIPANTS HAVE MADE IT TO THE SECOND CHALENGE! THE F A L L!"

Tsuyu sighed, and actually looked a bit concerned when she heard Izuku's current state from the announcement.

"I told him he would get himself hurt just ramming into things…" She began to cross the current tight rope over a chasm quicker. Every student was crossing the pits in fact. Iida was gliding along the tight ropes, and Ochako was floating herself over! And again, Katsumi was flying. Todoroki had been approaching the end quicker and quicker, sliding on ice over the roped until she got to the end, and finally reached the minefield. She looked farther to find where Izuku had landed, and spotted him easily. He was wobbly getting up about three-fourths from the finish. She considered herself lucky that Izuku had done something as foolish as he had, because it saved her some energy and now hindered his ability to finish.

But then she was doing something that went against what she was thinking. She was holding her hands out and walking towards him, like she was going to go pick him up!

"Bunny bunny bunny bunny bunny" Was the thought process that happened override her previous one.

Izuku stood up, seeing double as everything swirled around him. It took him a minute as the faint explosions got closer, but he was in a race! He lifted his foot to take a step forward, but lost balance and fell on his butt. Right on a landmine. Everyone expected an explosion to send the bunny flying, but there was nothing. Izuku just shook his head and ran off toward the end.

"He's too light to trigger them."

"That's concerning. BUT IT LOOKS LIKE IZUKU'S SMALL SIZE HAS GIVEN HIM AN AMAZING ADVANTAGE!"

"Damn, I let myself get distracted." Todoroki growled as she began to maneuver the minefield at an increased pace. Bakugo's yelling was heard behind her as she passed overhead of the peppermint.

"YOU DECLARED WAR ON THE WRONG PERSON TWO-FACE!" She screamed at the girl. Katsumi's focus went back to the running bunny who was getting to the end quickly. Todoroki grit her teeth, and pulled a move that would benefit her, but also everyone else. She froze the floor of the entire minefield with a layer of rough ice and too off running across it at full speed.

Izuku looked behind himself and huffed, his feet sparked to life as he blasted for the exit, as Bakugo and Todoroki were on his tail. They all approached the finish line, looking like they were going to tie, but with a final burst of air from his feet Izuku took the ribbon at the end in his mouth! He collapsed to the ground, feeling something pulling against him. He looked back, to find Todoroki face first into the ground behind him, and holding on to his tail. As other's began coming into the arena and subsequently seeing the situation, Izuku began kicking her hand repeatedly. Wow, all that fist clenching paid off.
