Sam and O'Connell were looking out the window of Evie's room at the black sun. As one they turned away looking at her sister.

"We must stop him from regenerating. Who opened that chest?"

"Well, there was me and Daniels here, and then poor Burns of course. Oh and that Egyptologist fellow."

"What about my buddy Beni?" O'Connell asked.

"No, he scrammed out of there before we opened the damn thing."

"Yeah, he was the smart one."

"Sounds like Beni," Sam commented.

"We must find the Egyptologist and bring him back to the safety of the fort before the creature can get to him." Sam and O'Connell looked at each other, then Evie and the two Americans.

"Right, Evelyn, you wait here, you two come with me." Everyone had a protest over that and the two friends looked at each other again sighing before O'Connell picked Evelyn up, tossing her over his shoulder.

"O'Connell! Jonathan!"

"Sorry, Evie's he's just a little . . .tall," Jonathan replied, lamely.

"Jonathan! Coward that you are! Samantha!"

"I agree with him, Evie," Sam replied, right before O'Connell shut the door and locked it giving the key to Daniels.

"She doesn't come out and no one goes in right?" He warned. Daniels nodded and he looked at Henderson, who nodded as well. "Come on, Jonathan."

"Me? Why not Sam?"

"Now!" Sam smirked at her brother and sat down on the window ledge staring out into the night. Henderson walked up to her and placed an arm on the window above her head, leaning close.

"So you and that warrior seem to have something between you." He whispered in her ear.

"He aims to kill me once the creature is dealt with." She told him, honestly.

"No doubt he'll kill any of us that survive the creature, still I saw the way he looked at you. There was a heat in his eyes that any man would recognize, I've worn it for you a couple of times myself, but not so deeply." Sam bit her lip at his words, she had known that Henderson wanted her, but to think of Ardeth wanting her was enough to cause a responding heat to awaken in her. What she wouldn't give to be able to spend just one night with him. About ten minutes later Daniels who had taken up residence in the window decided he was bored and to get a drink.

"You want anything?" He asked, making his way to the door.

"No, thanks," Sam called.

"Yeah, get me a glass of bourbon," Henderson replied, Daniels started to leave. "And a shot of bourbon!" Henderson continued, then got up and chased after him. "And a bourbon chaser!"

"Yeah yeah, I'll get your damn bourbon."

"Never mind the door," Henderson muttered, shutting it. He turned and grinned at Sam. "Alone at last." He turned and playfully drew his gun on his canopic jar a couple of times and they both jumped when a gust of wind blew in and Henderson was lifted before her very eyes and sucked dry. Imhotep appeared almost fully regenerated in front of her.

"You bastard!" She yelled charging at him, but with very little effort he grabbed her and slammed her into the wall knocking her unconscious. She came to in a car that was racing down the streets and looked around confused.

"You ok, Sammy?" O'Connell asked, seeing her awake.

"Evie!" She yelled, before noticing her sister next to her friend, then she recalled what happened to Henderson. "Oh . . . Henderson." Not even an hour beforehand he was teasing her about some steamy looks coming from a dark desert warrior, and now he was gone. They made it to the museum and all rushed inside where the two medjai rushed up to them, Ardeth lightly touching her arm and searching her eyes, before Evie swept passed them rushing up the stairs everyone following after her.

"Last month I came across an inscription that mentioned the Book of the Dead."

"That book we found at Hamunaptra?" Daniels asked.

"Yes. I dismissed it because it talked about bringing people back from the dead. A notion I was unwilling to believe."

"Believe it, sister that's what brought our guy back." O'Connell put out.

"And now he's trying to use it to bring his girlfriend back to life." Jonathan reminded.

"And if he succeeds, the two of them together will bring about the apocalypse." Sam threw in.

"I'm thinking if the black book can bring people to life . . ." Evie started.

"Then the gold book can kill him." O'Connell finished.

"That's the theory." Evie agreed.
