"We may have to march while it's still dark then if we want our forces near that castle at sunrise.", Adam reminded.

"We'll have the army sleep in early tonight; and have those that do the final watch get some sleep on the move; we can have them carried if need be.", Mickey told the group.

Everyone agreed on it, and so the entire army gladly slept in early after having rations, and the United Talons took their turns between sleeping and watching, and perhaps around midnight, the march set out one last time.

There was definitely tension, anxiety, excitement, and many more emotions going around, and there were whispered conversations, several vows of brotherhood and sisterhood, and all that stuff.

Many hopefully had in their mind, was that come the next time the sun would set, would mean the end of the war, once and for all. For the Talons, they were just hoping that they could deal with Frollo and the Chernabog and all stay intact.

From what they can tell, the day will be quite clear, with the sun to overlook the battle, almost like the day of the Battle of Beruna in the 1st Narnia movie.

As they got closer and closer, it's getting cooler and cooler, and with dragon noses, they can smell dark magic a mile away. The Griffins rested their wings to walk, along with the Pegasi and ice dragons, and the Ketaks & Martags hovered low as possible, keeping their engines quiet as possible.

"It's gotten really dark...", Mulan said as she looked to the sky. "Means it's almost morning then... Hopefully, Aslan will bless us with good weather for this final day...", Jason smiled as he leaned over to hug her.

Mulan laid a hand on the spot where Jason's heart is beating behind, "I believe in Aslan, and most of all, I believe in you, Jason.".

Jason kissed her softly, "Thank you, Mulan. You gotta promise me that you're gonna stay on the cliffs or stay close to the griffins to hide in their formation of attack.", laying a hand on her belly, rubbing it gently.

"Don't worry, I'll stay safe for this last fight... for you and for Dove.", Mulan told him as he nodded. "I can't believe this day has finally come...".

"Just one more day, Mulan. One more day and we might finally end it all.", Jason said softly with a chuckle and a determined look.

Mulan smiled, "And we will have our apple orchard place together, making it a home for all of us.", and Jason grinned, "Home...Sounds perfect to me.", as Mulan kissed his cheek.

Other couples are doing similar things, with Zuri and Haku talking about their dreams with their spouses and all, half wishing that they were back in Cair Paravel, but knew that this final battle, this last day would change lives, for the better or worse.

Soon, with the front of the march announcing quietly that they made it, the army then spread out into the trails the scouts led them on, climbing quietly and quickly into the ravine tops and cliffsides, waiting for the moment the sun rises.

The group took a deep breath as the fighting would soon begin... however, it depended on who would make the first move, obviously, and the army was hoping that Zira would make the mistake of attack and abandon her advantage for her bloodlust and rage.

As the sun rose, the very few dark creatures that can see long distances, they saw dragons on the ravine tops, and one of them went to Zira. "General, we've sighted dragons across the valley.", the dark creature reported as it approached Zira.

"So, they've finally arrived...", Zira growled as she tightened her fist. Just waiting for the chance to be able to slay the Talons for killing Scar.

"What are your orders?", the creature asked as Zira looked out to see the army slowly starting to build on the horizon.

Zira narrowed her eyes, "Send them out. It's time to prove Frollo that we can win.", and the dark creature, knowing how Zira is, thanks to the strict training regime, nodded, "Yes, ma'am.".

Was she making a fatal error in deploying her forces rather than just holding back into the defenses? Of course, she was as she was unaware of what the allied army had waiting for her while they had pretty good ideas of what she had thanks to the Talons' scouting. But Zira wanted revenge and she would only be denied by her death as the orders soon spread amongst the dark forces to prepare to move out from the walls and engage the enemy ahead on mountain valley ahead of the fortress.

Mickey whispered to Emma on the other side of the mountain valley, "Zira's buying it.", hiding in the rocks as Emma stood on the ravine floor, in her dragon form, nodded in affirmation. Emma held up a paw, and Mickey nodded, "I know. We have to wait for them to cross the river.".

"Might take a bit... she's probably planning on throwing thousands of her forces out.", John chuckled as he hunkered down.

"Still, we must wait... we already have a plan on how to win... we just need for her to go according to our plan.", Mickey said. "She's certainly walking into it like an idiot...", Logan whispered.

Emma snorted, 'You're telling me.', and Phoebus tiptoed over to their position behind the rocks, speaking quietly, "Queen Elsa and her army, along with the Griffins, the Pegasi, along with King Edward and his army, they're all set, waiting for the first signal.".

"Good. If we can wipe out Zira and her army, that'll give us a better chance to focus on dealing with those shields and not be distracted or harassed by Frollo's forces.", Mickey said as they could see off in the distance, the dark creatures slowly starting to empty from the defensive walls as Zira was organizing them into battle formations.

Since the sun rose with the first sighting of the forces of good, it took perhaps an hour to fully empty from the defensive walls, unknowing that the good army is resting in their positions, hunkering down with passes of jerky meat and waterskins, retaining their full strength.

But since the valley field is vast, they haven't crossed the river yet, but being spread out, they are coming faster than before, and in perhaps 30 minutes, they are finally crossing the river.

"Quite the force she's got.", John couldn't help but admire the force that was before them. It wouldn't help especially if things went to plan.

"It'll be even more impressive with how fast it gets wiped out.", Logan added as he looked to Mickey. "Are we ready or do we give them a bit more distance before striking?".

Mickey glanced at Logan, "Resume your dragon forms and taunt them if you must. We must lure them as far as the end of the forces exit the river.".

Logan nodded, and shifted to his dragon form, joining Emma as the others did the same, and the United Talons roared, and Zira narrowed her eyes in fury and anger, recognizing many of them from the stories and reports, "Faster!".

The order passed on, and the army of dark forces crossed the river faster, not wanting to make their General order their deaths before they could even do some fighting, and in a quick 10 minutes, they were clear of the river, and the United Talons roared, sending blasts of fire into the air.

Suddenly, the first swarm came of ice dragons, Griffins, Pegasi came, with Queen Elsa instantly dropping a mini blizzard on the dark forces as Triton shouted, and suddenly, water rose up as high as 50 ft high like a Moses-style standing wave, and Elsa immediately froze the wave, changing it into an ice wall all the way across the valley, trapping the dark forces like roaches.

Griffins dropped boulders like missiles, Pegasi carried archers, shooting downwards, and the ice dragons blasted ice balls.

Zira was completely shocked at the sudden turn of events. She had been whipping this army into decent shape to where they might stand a much better chance in a fight due to the lack of numbers to truly overwhelm the allies... but this... in less than a minute, a large percentage of her forces had just been caught in a trap and were being slaughtered without even drawing so much as a drop of blood from the Talons and their friends.

Mickey then nodded to Phoebus who shouted, "Fire!", and swarms of archers on the cliffs and such fired all kinds of arrows. Arrows on fire, arrows on acid, arrows of silver, arrows of poison, and arrows of sharp, deadly normalcy.

As the wave of Griffins, Pegasi was done, leaving the ice dragons alone as they are practically invincible, and with another signal of dragon roars, Martags and Ketaks came out, with the riders to fire, using their blue-white blasts from the vehicles.

Mickey smiled to Phoebus, "It's all yours.", and nodded to Emma, who formed a portal for the United Talons and their spouses excluding Mulan, to appear on the other side of the river, behind the ice wall, and Mickey rode on Emma's back as she was the last one to go through the portal.

Mickey got off Emma's back, and went to work, clicking his fingers for his magician's hat to appear on his head, and his hands glowed as Triton held his Trident, aiming for the first shield, working together to break it.

Haku stood on the ice wall to watch the progress on the other side, seeing the dark forces slaughtered as the armies of good alternated between waves of tactics.

"She's at least putting up a fight...", Haku told the others. "Unfortunately.", he added since a fight would mean lives lost for their forces, which would be a true tragedy as it was always tragic to be killed in the final hours of a war, when the light at the end of the tunnel could be seen.

"They'll finish her off, trust me.", Pippa assured him as they kept their eyes out while Mickey and Triton continued to work.

Under perhaps 15 minutes, maybe a record for all what the United Talons would know in the books about battle traps, the dark forces were all but slaughtered, and Zira was the last one standing, covered in blood, gore, guts, injuries and wounds, but she didn't care, her eyes were mad and all, and she went straight for Mulan as she was only the real dragon on that side.

But she was blind to Captain Helga's attack, and she fell dead to Helga's sword just as the first shield broke down at last. The extra troops behind the defensive walls swarmed out, and Emma roared as the United Talons went all dragon, blasting the troops away.

Triton and Mickey took a breather for a few moments before working on the second shield further on, and then suddenly, the sun began to change. They looked up to see the sun slowly getting covered, not behind clouds or mountains, but by the moon!

"What the hell is going on?", Logan quickly shifted back to human as he landed next to Mickey and Triton. "Was an eclipse in the forecast?".

"I don't think so...", Triton admitted. "This is very odd... of all the days for that to happen... and for it to be in this area..."

"You don't think-?" Mickey looked at the merman king as worry began to grip him. Triton nodded, "It's like Phoebus said. Frollo must be doing a dark ritual to force the sun into an eclipse. We must hurry to break the other shields for some of you to go in there and stop Frollo...".

Logan blinked in surprise as he then remembered the prophecy. "The prophecy. Today is the equinox of late summer/early autumn, and an eclipse...Light becomes into darkness...Aslan...He had foreseen this happening, but he didn't know the end of it...".

Mickey exhaled in horror, "The Chernabog. Frollo is doing this ritual to bring him out, to change the war!". Logan widened his eyes, "Shit. Keep working, your majesties!", shifting back into dragon and flapped up high to warn Emma.

"Would it be even possible?", Triton asked as Mickey shook his head. "Better we don't wait and find out, we need to get through those defenses...", Mickey soon noticed ahead movement. "And looks like Frollo's deploying reserves from the fortress...".

Emma roared after she had heard Logan's report, and the United Talons changed tactics in using their gifts as Mickey and Triton worked on the second shield, the reserves swiftly killed, and the ice wall became water once again, with Queen Elsa creating ice monsters to assist the United Talons as she flew by on one of her ice dragons.

The Pegasi followed behind with swordsmen riding on them, and with Griffins carrying boulders once more as the second shield broke down, and more reserves came out as Adam riding on John's back, followed by Jasmine, using the distraction of the reserves to shift into human form to slink into the basement under the defensive walls.

With the two shields broken down, and one remaining, Adam hoped that the magic mirror would help them navigate through the citadel via the basement and such as much of the dark magic is gone.

"Jeez, it's so dark down here...", Adam cursed as he tried to find a light source. "These creatures can see in the dark, makes sense this place would be so dark.", Jasmine reminded.

John replied, "Try the mirror, Adam.", and Adam nodded, "I hope it works now.", and he politely asked the mirror to be a light source and map, and the mirror turned on, and to his relief, the mirror works, but not fully.

Jasmine comments, "Is that normal?", and Adam replies, "No, but I think the mirror is being cautious since there's still dark magic, but luckily, with the two shields down, there's a map of the defensive walls and the courtyard now, and being in the basement, we should have no problem sneaking around.".

"We should be careful though... we're in a real bad place if we start getting swarmed by Frollo's creatures.", John reminded as the other two nodded. "Come on, let's head this way.", Adam waved and took the lead.

Outside, the sun is already halfway to being covered by the moon, and the United Talons has been extinguishing the reserves when the shadows began to move.

Logan growled to the others. 'Are those shadows moving funny?', he asked to the others who could understand him.

Emma narrowed her eyes, and snarled, 'It's getting dark because of the eclipse. More shadow minions. Aim for them, hard, like back on Pixie Hollow Island.', seeing Elsa's ice dragons and ice monsters taking care of the stragglers from the reserves.

At the river, Triton and Mickey is getting a bit exhausted, but still determinedly working hard on the last shield as the armies climbed down the cliffsides and all, clearing the way with the dead bodies of the trapped dark forces into piles, aiming to help out somehow.

"How much longer can you hold out?", Triton asked Mickey as they were trying to destroy the last shield. "I'm hanging on, but I've never pushed myself this far before...", Mickey admitted as he kept up his conjuring.

Elsa landed besides the kings, along with Kida, getting off a Ketak and an ice dragon, and the queens saw the kings' struggle, and decided to help along, with Kida using her crystal as she laid a hand on Elsa's shoulder, and Elsa's ice magic became even more blue, shooting straight like a beam at the last shield.

Kida laughed, "First time for everything!", as Elsa increased the magnitude of her ice magic, and under five minutes, with Triton, Mickey, and Elsa's magic altogether, the final shield broke at last. Suddenly, a minute later, the eclipse moved faster than before, almost there to cover the sun entirely, and there was a rumbling, like the earth was shaking.

"You need to move fast now!", Mickey shouted at the Talons. "If the Chernabog is unleashed, none of us will leave this area alive!". The Talons nodded and moved as fast as they could into the breach, praying that could stop Frollo in time.

In the basement, Adam, Jasmine and John shouted in bewilderment as they felt the shaking. "What's going on?!", John shouted, and Adam saw the mirror becoming more brighter, "They broke the last shield! Let's keep going!".

They picked up the pace, running through the basement, having found different doors, but didn't take them earlier because they didn't want to be caught when the last shield was still on, and now, they are reaching another door, opening it to run up the stairs, and glimpsing through the windows, they realized that they are now in the citadel itself.

Jasmine was quick to notice that the citadel was basically empty, only loitering with a few straggling guards and such, and with dragon claws and strength, she and John took care of them. As they got higher up via stairs and such, they heard pained cries and screams, but not monster sounds of any sort, but human, and dare they say, child-like?

"Am I the only one hearing that?", John asked as the other two shook their heads. "No, I'm hearing it as well...", Adam said as he motioned for them to keep following him, getting closer and closer to the sounds.
