Jordan- 12

It has been nearly a couple of hours since Morgan and Jordan had gone missing, Hank was trying not to lose his cool. He kept himself pacing in his office he couldn't help but consistently check the time, it would soon be dark, and knew at times his daughter would get scared of the dark he knew if he couldn't contain his emotions or feelings he'd be kicked off the case.

Nobody wanted to bother him without getting some kind of backlash. The others were attempting to trace Morgan or Jordan's phones trying to find them until Garcia called back with any information on this Tyler James. This case needed to come to an end and it needed to come to an end now.

Meanwhile

Morgan was finally coming to when he awoke it was dark all around him, he was tied up and moving. He heard muffled voices. One that belongs to a man and another to a little girl. The last thing he remembered was him and Tyler getting into it at the district and Tyler putting him in a chokehold.

He was trying to hear more of the girl's voice and it sounded familiar to him. Like he's heard it before. But how? Then it began hitting him. The girl's voice belonged to Jordan. Tyler had kidnapped her somehow. He tried to find something to free himself but found nothing, the profiler turned and with his tied ankles he began kicking the tail light out. He had kept kicking as hard as he could to get the light out, he had bit down hard on his lip holding back the growls from his throat.

Soon he saw the light getting further and further out till it was finally out he turned and adjusted his body to do the same to the other one. His ankles had been getting too sore to continue but he pushed through it and kept kicking. As Jordan sat in the back seat of the car she heard something from the trunk, she had a feeling Derek was awake and trying to get out. Or she so deeply hoped.

Jordan looked to the floor and hoped her father and the others were coming soon, a loud noise had broken her from her thoughts. It sounded like a siren. Looking at the rearview mirror it was indeed a siren coming from a police car. The preteen had definitely got her hopes up. Where there were the police her father would for sure be notified.

"Make one sound, give yourself away, I kill you and your father. Is that understood" Tyler told her coldly.

Swallowing the lump in her throat she nodded, she caught him slowly sliding something towards him and keep at his side. Glancing out the window she saw the patrol officers and perked up more. It was Kevin Atwater and Kim Burgess, her godmother's patrol officers. She knew for sure her father and the rest of intelligence would be hot on their trail.

Tyler had shot her a look in the rearview mirror and she dropped her head, she then had an idea. The preteen leaned her head on the window and blew on it then wrote in the small area where she blew her breath. Kevin cautiously approached the driver's side while Kim took the passenger side. She saw the young girl look at her briefly and then watch as her eyes glanced down to the written message that read.

HELP. KIDNAP.

Tyler rolled his window down and gave a small smile. "How's it going, officer Atwater? What can I do for you"

"License and registration please" Kevin spoke.

"This ain't my car, it's my buddy's, he loaned it to me while mine's in the shop. What seems to be the problem?"

"The tail lights are out. I need to see your license and the registration"

"Of course"

Tyler had reached for the two items, and while he was busy with Kevin, Jordan blew her breath on the window and wrote Kim another message.

TRUNK.

Tapping on the window she managed to get the officer's attention and pointed to the new message. Kim frowned and went around to the trunk and heard what sounded like yelling. She went and dragged her partner over near the trunk.

"Kev, I'm getting a really bad feeling about this. Didn't Platt say Jordan and one of those visiting FBI agents were missing?" Kim asked quietly.

"Don't remind me, she nearly chewed us all out about finding them" Kevin told his partner.

"I think I found them. Jordan's in the backseat which means the agent is in the trunk"

"What makes you think it's Jordan?"

"I know what she looks like Kevin. She wrote on the window, help, kidnap, and trunk. It's her. We need to play this out carefully so she doesn't get hurt"

"Let's play it"

Kevin went back to Tyler. "Sir, do you mind opening the trunk?"

"What for?"

"You got a problem about opening it?" Kim asked.

"You got a warrant?"

"Just open it, if there's nothing there then we apologize but we need to see what the cause of the tail lights going out"

"Sure"

Suddenly Tyler stepped on the gas peeling away from them, Jordan was forced back into her seat and she gripped her seatbelt. Derek was going all around in the trunk. Kim and Kevin shouted through the radios about a chase in progress.

"What did you do?!" Tyler yelled back at Jordan.

"I…I didn't do anything. I don't know what you're talking about!" Jordan replied back in a panic. "Slow down before you kill us!"

"I did everything you wanted Marissa, everything! And you betrayed me!" He looked back at her, eyes full of anger.

"My name's not Marissa! Watch out!"

A loud horn brought Tyler's attention back to the road behind him where Kevin and Kim followed them, lights and sirens. Soon more police cars joined in on the chase.

Back in the 21st

Hank was nearly going out of his mind with worry about his daughter, she was still so young and could barely defend herself. Alvin tried to help his friend calm down. Aaron was worried for the child and his agent. He knew Derek could defend himself and Jordan, but no child knew how to defend themselves against a psycho.

His phone rang with Garcia calling back. "What have you got Garcia?"

"I searched all the police stations and districts for any new officers around the times of the murders and one name kept popping up. Tyler Jacob. I did a full search on this guy and sir it's not a pretty one. Both parents abandoned him right after he was born, he was born drug-addicted to cocaine and heroin in his system. Parents are both drug addicts and alcoholics. They died a year after he was born. Both overdosed. He has bounced around in foster care his whole life. From some of the reports, he mentioned a few of his foster parents would beat him. One used a belt, another used a switch. When he was 12 he was removed from a home because his then-foster father, Simon Franks beat him with a broom handle. Tyler then took a metal baseball bat over his head. He was court-ordered to anger management counseling, according to the records he went twice and never went back. Eventually, he aged out at 18. Right after that, it looked like he was heading on the right track, he had a girlfriend, Marissa Simms. They have one child together, a son. Wyatt Simms. Whatever happened in the relationship Marissa left and took his son with her"

"All that he was bound to go over the edge and snap. Send us a picture of Marissa Simms" JJ said.

"It seems Tyler had enlisted in the Military, he joined the Army when he was 19, and according to the records I was able to find he was dishonorably discharged. He had gone AWOL, disorderly conduct, oh no. He was accused of sexual assault against a Corporal, they didn't have enough evidence to charge or make a case. They let him go, Corporal Amanda Weston. She was discharged after the assault, she never went back to the Army. She killed herself a few months after the assault, she was pregnant. After his time in the Army, Tyler then proceed to join the police department he started out in Baltimore, Maryland. One case he took to heart, he was going after a man…oh no"

"Garcia, what is it?" Emily asked.

"The case he was working in Baltimore was a drug dealer. He was trying to bring down Walter Hines. Walter Hines had been responsible for the death of Tyler's parents. Apparently, they got arrested by Baltimore PD and in exchange for a lesser sentence, they were going to flip on Walter. They both ended up dead a day before the trial. Their murders were staged to look like overdoses when in reality Walter hired someone to give them a hot shot. He called Walter out to a parking lot at 2 in the morning, he killed Walter in cold blood. Baltimore PD bounced him from the force. They couldn't prove Tyler killed him, the lot had no security cameras and he claimed self-defense. They weren't buying it, just as they were about to prove he killed Walter Tyler disappeared. A few weeks later he started going around getting jobs in different stations in different states. New York, New Jersey, Vermont, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Tennesse, and now Chicago"

"Thanks, Garcia" Hotch spoke.

"Chicago is this guy's last stop," Hank said to the group. "I don't care if I have to take him out myself"

Before anyone could say anything Trudy rushed up. "Hank, I got word from Burgess and Atwater. They found Jordan and Jacob, they're in pursuit now. They believe Agent Morgan is in the trunk of the car"

Nobody had to be told twice they all grabbed their vests and left out getting into their cars turning on their lights and sirens speeding away to join the chase. Hank was in the lead. He was going to get his baby back.

Tyler was driving on the highway at this point he kept pressing down on the gas more and more, he was going past 90 miles an hour. Jordan was clutching the seatbelt tightly in her hands, she had always seen cars go fast in movies but had never actually been in one.

"Tyler! Tyler please, stop! You don't have to do this" Jordan pleaded with him.

"I'll show you what happens to people who betray me, Marissa. I was nothing but good to you and you took my son from me!" Tyler yelled.

The preteen figured he was in some kind of psychotic episode. The only way out alive could be to play along and hopefully calm him down. Taking a deep breath she really hopes this would work.

"I'm sorry, I was scared and afraid for him. I was only doing what was best for him. If you stop I can take you to him"

"Y-you will?"

"Yes but you've got to stop the car and let the man out of the trunk first"

"No, you take me to Wyatt first then I'll let him go"

"Wyatt is with my mom please stop the car. Stop the goddamn car!"

And just like that Tyler hit the brakes hard making the entire car stop and screech. Jordan flew forward and jerked back as the car came to a halt, she knew good and well that without the seatbelt she could have easily gone forward in the car and have been killed or badly injured. Behind them, all the police cars had stopped and the officers all had gotten out with their weapons drawn, coming up in front of Tyler were black SUVs and the intelligence team.

"You're lying to me again aren't you?" Tyler's voice was cold.

"No. No, I would never lie to you, they're all here for the agent you took. If you let him go then they'll let you go and I'll tell them I'm taking you to Wyatt that's the plan remember? I'll go with you the entire time to prove it" She took her seatbelt off and held her hand out. "Do you trust me?"

"If I find out you're lying, I will kill you"

She swallowed hard and nodded her head. "I understand. Let's go let him go then we'll see Wyatt"

Tyler got out of the car from the front and Jordan got out from the back, he kept her close knowing none of the cops or the feds will fire in his direction with her in the way. Jordan looked on and saw her father, the look in her eyes he knew she was up to something. He could always tell when one or both of his children had been up to something just by looking into their eyes. She was definitely up to something.

Kim, Kevin, and the other officers lowered their weapons to a point to avoid firing and hitting Jordan. Tyler opened the trunk and just as he did he was met in the face with a crowbar by Derek. He fell which gave Jordan the out she needed as fast as her legs would take her she ran backward to Kevin and Kim the two immediately put her in their car while Derek yanked Tyler up off the ground.

"We got you now you sick bastard and if you did anything to that little girl, I will make it my life's mission to make your life a living hell where you're going," Derek told him sharply.

Hotch came over and gave his cuffs to his agent. "Are you alright Morgan?"

"I'm fine. Jordan, where's Jordan?"

"She's safe, she ran to the officers. What happened Morgan?"

"I think Jordan managed to talk him down"

Hank ran down as fast as he could to get to his daughter, Kim opened her door peeking her head in. "Someone wants to see you"

It took a moment for it to click in her head and she hopped out and saw her father, she took off in his direction, and as soon as she was within his reach Hank picked her up holding her close. Jordan kept her arms wrapped around her father's neck.

Pulling her back the older man scanned her for injuries. Jordan had a small smile and let him. "I'm ok daddy, I promise"

"Are you sure? We can still have paramedics look you over"

"I promise I'm ok. My head hurts a little but otherwise, I'm alright"

"I'm sorry sweetheart. I'm so sorry, I should have never let him get that close to you"

"It wasn't you're fault. You couldn't have known"

The BAU team had come over, JJ had bent down to Jordan's level, and Hank had made sure to keep her right by his side. "Jo, can you tell us what happened?"

She held onto her father's arm looking at him, Hank smoothed her hair back and nodded. Jordan had then looked back to face the agents, she wasn't sure if they would believe her. A 12-year-old talked down a raging psycho path that was most likely going to kill her and Morgan.

"When Morgan and I were at the district, he disappeared and that's when Tyler took me out the back way. As we were driving he kept calling me a name, Marissa. I told him that wasn't my name but he only got angrier. When Kevin and Kim pulled us over I wrote on the window to Kim, he and Kevin were talking the next thing I know I was fast and furious, he was going so fast I thought he was going to crash. He nearly caused the car to hit another one. He kept calling me Marissa and how I betrayed him, I didn't wanna get him angry anymore so I thought if I played along and pretended to be Marissa he would stop. He wanted to see his son, Wyatt. I told him that if he let Morgan go, I'd take him to Wyatt. He thought I was lying and said if I was he was..he was going to kill me, I kept my face straight"

"That was one of the bravest things anyone's ever done, especially for someone your age," Rossi told her proudly with a smile.

"Agent Rossi's right, you did something most kids your age wouldn't have been able to. That took a lot of strength and courage" Hotch says with one of his many rare smiles.

"Thank you. Is Morgan alright?"

"He's just fine, the paramedics are checking him out now," Spencer told her.

She glanced at her father using puppy dog eyes silently asking him, Hank knew no matter how hard he tried he couldn't resist them.

"You can go see him, just stay where I can see you," Hank told his daughter.

"I will" She flashed him a smile.

She went over to the ambulance where Derek was getting looked over, he saw the young girl and the paramedics stepped away giving them a moment. The agent immediately bent down to her level.

"I'm ok Morgan, I wanted to see if you were alright," Jordan told him.

"I'm perfectly fine. Did you manage to talk him down?" Morgan asked.

She gave a nod. "I did. I didn't want him to get any angrier so I thought if I played along with him he wouldn't be angry anymore. I guess it worked"

"That was an amazing job you did Jordan, you did good work for someone your age" He pulled something from his pocket. "If you ever need to talk about anything or if you need help, here's my card. Call me any time day or night" He had put his business card in her hand.

She smiled softly. "Thanks, Morgan"

"You can call me Derek, kid"

"Thanks, Derek"

The two shared a hug. Hotch glanced over at Hank. "You have a strong daughter Sergeant"

"Thank you. I can't take all the credit, she gets it from her mother" Hank said.

Soon intelligence and the BAU had parted ways, and Derek had even invited Hank and Jordan to DC to see the office. Jordan couldn't wait to go. After a long exhausting day, Hank had finally taken his daughter home. He stopped off and got pizza for dinner not in the mood to cook.

During the drive, the day's events had been setting and sinking in Jordan. The adrenaline left her body and everything was replaying over and over in her head. Hank had looked at his daughter worried, he knew she was coming to terms with what happened. She was in shock and had been getting hit by everything at once. He would be there for her when she was ready.

Once at home the father and daughter had gone inside and Hank locked the door. Jordan had set the box on the table and sat on the couch, the dam of tears in her eyes was close to bursting, her body shaking and trembling. Her mouth slowly opened trying to say something but nothing came out. Instead of words coming out sobs had left her mouth and the dam of tears had burst as she started crying.

Without a second thought, Hank had gone over and pulled her in his arms as she began to let out the emotions of the day's events. He held her protectively, his hand rubbing soothing circles on her back. The older father felt his own tears swell up in his eyes, he was the cause of his daughter being in the hands of a total psychopath and nearly being killed. Never again. Nobody will ever get near either of his children without going through him first. He would always be there for his children. Nothing would ever stop him from being there for either of his children.

After a few days, Hank and Jordan had flown out to the DC area to see the BAU Headquarters. Like any new person to a new city, it took a little bit to get there, and eventually had gotten to Quantico, Virginia where the headquarters was. They had gone to the floor and had been met by Derek.

"Sergeant, Jordan" Derek greeted them with a smile.

"Hank please," Hank says kindly with a smile.

"That was my pop's name" He kept the same smile. "I don't wanna keep you guys long, we have a case. I have something for you kid" Behind him was a huge gift bag. "The first is this because of your hard work helping on the case" He handed her a small black box.

Jordan opened it and saw an FBI junior badge inside with what looked like a medal. She looked up at him. "Thank you"

"You're welcome, my team and your father here have all agreed you've earned them" He then pulled the bag around and pulled something out. It was the American flag inside a wooden case. On the front of it was Anna's picture, the same picture that was on the wall of the FBI building, and a small engraved plate. "We weren't sure if you had gotten this when you lost your mom so I wanted to present you and your dad with your mother's flag. Your mother loved serving her country and she loved her family just as much. She was one of the bravest, toughest agents the FBI could ever have. It looks like you've inherited some of her best qualities"

The preteen looked at him with tears falling from her eyes. "It's beautiful Derek. Thank you"

"I know it's not easy having one parent but just remember, your mother watches over you and is with you every day. She lives on through you. Make sure you keep up the good work and make her proud. And if you, your father, or your brother ever need our help. We're just a phone call away. Your mother may not have been a profiler but she was one of us in the FBI, that makes you guys family. And we protect our own"

Soon the preteen hugged the profiler and he hugged her back. After the hug Derek and Hank shook hands, the father and daughter gathered the stuff and headed for the elevator they stepped in and Jordan waved to the profiler and he waved back smiling.

"That was so great what you did for Jordan," Emily told her partner.

"Morgan's going all soft" Spencer teased.

"I might be, I know what the kid's going through. Losing a parent to the job and not having the parent growing up. She has a good father but having a demanding job, could potentially lose him. I figured she could use more people in her corner if she needs it" He took one last look at the elevator and then followed his team to the conference room.

Hank and Jordan headed back to Chicago, during the drive she just looked at the sky smiling knowing not only did she gain more friends that could be family. But the fact she feels her mother watching her, she could feel her mother's warmness inside her. Leaning against the window she slowly fell asleep and muttered something under her breath.

"I love you, mommy"

As the preteen slipped into sweet blissful sleep and allowed it to overtake her, her head filled with sweet dreams. A very soft breeze came through the car and came with it a very soft voice that the father or daughter could hear.

"I love you too my sweet baby girl. I love you both so very much"

And with that concludes the mini crossover! I hope you all enjoyed!
