Ciana got up early in the morning to get ready for her big day… today is the day she starts out at her next new school. Ciana brushes her hair as well as her teeth, then soon puts on her new school uniform… stepping into the view of her mirror to see herself in her new look, Ciana smiled and twirled around a little to model her new uniform. "Looking good!" Ciana comments on herself cheerfully, still having her green butterfly hair clip in her hair.

After having a quick breakfast, Ciana quickly grabbed her backpack as she was now ready to head out the door for a new beginning…

One month passed by, and now, UA was in sight as Izuku had left early after making sure all his belongings were packed to be moved to the dorms. It would be strange living with complete strangers for three years, but he'd come often to visit his Mom when they had time off. Right now, however, nervously adjusting his very short tie, Izuku waited anxiously outside the residence of an apartment that would soon be vacant again. Ciana would no longer live here until she found a place of her own after UA. If she wasn't back home by then.

The thought of her returning home now made Izuku's chest sore, but it didn't deter him for long as the door opened to reveal the girl in question wearing the same uniform as him only with a skirt in place of trousers, and that distinct butterfly hair pin. She... looked really good in a uniform. "M-Morning, C-Ciana." He could contain his blush... hopefully.

Ciana smiled very cheerfully as she stepped out to see her friend. "Hey Izuku!" She greets him, noticing he was wearing his new uniform as well. "Wow you look really nice! Are you all excited for the big day?" She asks as her hands were behind her back cheerfully as her smile widened more.

"Uuh, yeah! D-definitely," He perked up, looking away with a bashful smile. "Y-You look great too,"

She perked up more from his comment, already feeling flustered. "Thanks! It's so funny for me to switch from one uniform to another, time sure moves by so fast doesn't it?"

"Mmhm, now we're moving into dorms too, it feels like everything's been a flurry one after the other," He agreed, looking back into her now vacant apartment. He gave her a comforting smile. "You okay?"

"Hm?" Ciana glanced at her old place, realizing she won't be living there anymore. It was sad but… she believes she will be okay. "Yeah, I think I'll be alright. It'll be nice to move into a new place where I won't have to feel so afraid to be alone anymore." She responds with her smile still. "I'll even get to be closer to you in the process."

His heart ticked faster at that last part, again, one whole month to digest his feelings about the girl before him, but that wasn't important right now. "Y-yeah, it'll be great! Let's go then, we need to take a train to get there," He motioned forward, the two moving into step with one another.

Once down the flight of stairs, Izuku stepped out into the early morning light before someone nearly walked in front of him, causing the greenette to stumble back in surprise. "Ah, sorry!" He quickly sputtered out.

"..." The person said nothing, oddly standing just as tall as Ciana, which made her shorter than Izuku. Her visible left eye is a pearl white with short snow-white hair tucked under a black hood with a black mask covering her mouth and nose, leaving only a single, piercing eye to watch them both.

The girl was petite. Wearing a black jacket that was sleeveless and fishnets reaching down half her biceps. Tied just below the left arm's fishnet was a blue cloth. Her trousers were short, revealing half her shins, and a pair of black combat boots with white soles. The girl also wore black gloves with a belt buckle wrapped by her wrists. A small bag was hung on her lower back. Her pupil was sharp, much like her constant stare.

"U-um, are you okay?" Izuku tried again, this time, she blinked.

"Yes," She replied once and soon continued her walk past them as if she were a ghost.

Ciana suddenly froze up when she saw this mysterious new girl, the way she eyed them both especially her gave her an uneasy feeling… She was basically speechless as she watched as she continued on her way past them. "What was that about…?" She asks herself, though her concern soon shifts to Izuku as she eyed him a bit worryingly.

"Are you okay Izuku?" She asks, knowing he bumped into the girl a little.

"Yeah... I'm fine," Izuku blinked. He too was wondering the same. But he shook his head. "Let's just get going, I don't think we have any right to be late on the first day,"

"Right! We better get moving." Her focus now back on their destination as she took hold of her friend's hand. "Come on!" Ciana now picked up her pace as she dragged Izuku with her, getting pumped back up for their first day again.

[Transition to UA]

Arriving back through the halls of UA, the halls weren't overly chaotic or crowded, giving the pair ample time to locate their classroom, but with the clock nearing homeroom, Izuku began to mutter. "Class 1-A, 1-A... come on, where is it?" Then he blinked. "Oh, there!" He pointed to the rather obvious sign that said the classroom.

Ciana could see Izuku was nervous but it's understandable as she felt pretty nervous herself, Ciana had no idea what the teachers or the students would be like so she is pretty anxious. "I guess this is it for us once again… I wonder how hard it'll be here compared to regular school…?" She wondered out loud as she stared up at the class sign.

"I know, I-I mean, look at the size of this door," It was much, much taller than them. "And the most promising students in the country are behind this door," The image of Katsuki and that blue-haired guy from the exam came to mind as he quickly shook those thoughts away. "Maybe we'll be in a different class than Kacchan and that guy who yelled at me, and everyone in here is nice."

Opening the door, it proved to be wishful thinking.

"Take your feet off of that desk now!" It was the blue-haired boy.

"Huh?" Katsuki grinned mockingly at the guy.

"It's only the first day and you're already disrespecting this academy by scuffing school property, you cretin!"

"You're kidding me right? That old school of yours put a stick up your ass, or were you born with it?" Katsuki gave a colorful reply.

"Great... lucky us," Izuku muttered in dismay next to Ciana who looked no less amused to be back in the same class as Katsuki.

The boy berating Katsuki, however, didn't give up. "Let's start over, I'm Tenya Iida from the Soumei Private Academy," The man, Iida, introduced.

"Soumei huh!? So that must make you think you're better than me, I'll have fun tearing you a new one!" He grinned bitterly.

"Nice to see you again Bakugo…" Ciana kinda amusingly greeted with a sly smile, not really approving of his behavior but she slowly started to soften up just a little around him.

Katsuki glowered, but said nothing about them, only a steely glare as the rest of the class present turned to the two. With all eyes on them, Izuku quickly put up his hand slightly to wave. "Uuh, h-hi!"

"Good morning! I'm Tenya Iida-" Iida announced again.

"W-we heard," Izuku offered a nervous but polite smile. "I'm Izuku Midoriya, it's... super nice to meet you,"

Her gaze now on the one known as Iida, Ciana recognized the guy who humiliated her friend at the test hall, narrowing her eyes at him a little. "Oh yes, I very much remember you… you're the one who called out on my friend in the middle of the test announcement… nice to meet you but just know I'll be watching you…" Ciana boldly says exaggeratingly, but perked her smile back up. "I'm Ciana Finley." Ciana introduces herself to at least not be completely rude.

"Midoriya, you realized there was more to the Practical Exam, didn't you?" Iida's question made him and Ciana share a look. "Your friend is right, my attitude with you was misplaced, and I misjudged your perceptive skills. I must admit, as a student, you are far superior to me," He motioned as if it were a hard pill to swallow.

"Um... I really didn't," He also found it hard to believe he was smarter than Iida. "I just moved without thinking, honestly,"

"I see, well, your actions were noble regardless, for that, you have my respect, and again I apologize for my tone with you," Iida replied regardless.

"Hey there, Finley!" Ciana perked up as her head turned to a hand raised in the air. It was the redhead she met in her exam, Kirishima. "Looks like we're classmates now, pretty cool, right?"

Ciana smiled thankfully toward Iida for being mature enough to apologize. "He seems really nice, I'm already starting to see why he becomes friends with Izuku." Ciana says to herself with a smile.

Hearing her last name being called, her gaze turned towards another boy she recognized from the battle area. Ciana perked up more when she noticed he was here too. "Oh Kirishima!" Ciana says his name cheerfully.

"Wow I can't believe you're in the same class as us, that's pretty awesome. It's so nice to see you again." Ciana expresses happily and cheerfully, already she could tell things are looking up better for them.

"Same here, you got in the top ten like me, same for your friends behind you!" Kirishima grinned. But his announcement then drew Ciana's head around to wonder who else other than Izuku was - oh.

"Oh, hey, I recognized that messed up hair, falling boy!" Standing behind them at the doorway was none other than the brunette Uraraka. "I'm so surprised you passed the exam, but of course you would, that punch was amazing!" She threw her arm wildly to mimic what Izuku had done.

Izuku himself smiled, but much to Ciana's surprise he didn't look to curl up on himself again. "I-it's you, uh, Uraraka, right?" He asked.

"Hm, yep, that's me, Ochaco Uraraka, but... how'd you know that?" She cocked her head.

"Ah, well, I heard what you tried to do for me since I basically had zero points, so... thank you for considering to do that, even if it would've jeopardized your position," He bowed his head a little.

She quickly waved her hands, laughing. "Ah, it's alright! It's what anyone would've done in my place, so don't feel the need to owe me or anything!"

Ciana was surprised to see the girl was here too, she wasn't disappointed with that but imagining how close she might get with Izuku bothered her a little… but it wasn't her place to say or do anything and is very grateful to the girl for saving her friend.

Ciana smiled as she approached the girl as well. "Uraraka it's so great to see you again, thank you so much for saving Izuku out there. I heard you were pretty amazing yourself by the number of points you got!" She cheerfully expresses with a wider smile.

"It really means a lot you stepped in to have him still be included here, being here meant a lot to him and I couldn't thank you enough for that." She expresses more warmly, she at least knew this girl had a big heart to do something bold like that.

Uraraka slapped her cheeks, chuckling bashfully, "You guys... it's really no big deal, honest!" But she looked happy regardless.

"If you're just here to make friends, you can pack up your stuff now," A monotone, tired voice replied... from the floor? Izuku was the first to notice, jumping slightly at what he saw. It was a man in a bright yellow sleeping bag. He was pale-skinned with messy, shoulder-length black hair, that partially hangs in front of his face and half-opened black eyes, he looked fatigued. His facial hair was a stubbly, unkempt state. "Welcome to the UA Hero Course," Then, from his sleeping bag, he procured a juice box to sip.

All four of them looked completely weirded out by the sight. "What is that thing!?"

'It' stood up tall, unzipping the bag to reveal a lanky, slender man. He wore a baggy black outfit that consists of a long-sleeved shirt and matching pants that tucked into his boots. He also wears a utility belt and a wrap scarf. "It took you all eight seconds to shut up, that's not gonna work, time is precious, rational students would understand that,"

"This guy must be a Pro, but... he looks so worn out, what's his deal?" Izuku swore he's seen this man before, but where?

Ciana was very creeped out about the man already and might have hid behind Izuku a little in fright, still a habit of hers to do whenever she comes across strange looking people… her head peeked over his shoulder as she processed this guy's behavior. "If we ever slept in class like that my teachers would have scolded us… weird to see a teacher sleeping during his job, is he even allowed to do that?" Ciana asked herself.

"Hello, I'm Shota Aizawa, your teacher," He greeted plainly. But the revelation sent a silent shock through the whole class. But as they processed this, he fished around in his sleeping bag, procuring the school gym clothes. "Right, there's a pair in your lockers, get changed and head outside,"

She whispered to Izuku while Ciana was still hiding behind his back. "This guy kinda looks familiar… didn't you once show me something in your notes about the pros you been studying Izuku?" She asked her friend in wonder.

After which, everyone got up to grab their gym clothes and head for the changing rooms, that's when Izuku spoke up. "Yeah... I think I remember... ah!" He perked up, turning to her with wide eyes as he watched the man, Aizawa, stand back for some time to filter out as he yawned. "I... I think that's the Eraser Hero, Eraserhead, that... wasn't what I was expecting,"

"Hey-" Aizawa spoke up, watching the pair. "-get moving, don't be late onto the course or else,"

"R-right sir!" The pair quickly scrambled to grab their gym gear too. Not wanting to test the underground hero's patience.

Ciana definitely didn't expect they come across one of the hero's Izuku was talking about before, he was a very strange man for a hero… but she met a lot of strange people in this world so it was almost normal now, Ciana parted ways from Izuku for now to be in the girls locker room. She… didn't know she be changing with other girls in public even in the girls locker room.

"Uh…" Ciana looked around to see the others were getting ready, she felt uncomfortable by this even if they weren't boys… "This must be common in Japan but… this is too much for me! N-not like we ever changed in public in my school… we had stalls for privacy!" Ciana was very shy and flustered by this public thing with the girls, but… she knows she can't stand out too much even if she's American… gulping her nerves down Ciana just went to her locker to find a pair of blue, white and red striped clothing. Not expecting to wear this kind of gym wear as she looks it over.

"Huh… the colors on this look a lot like the hero All Might wears, I guess we're representing him." She comments to herself, Ciana doesn't even look at the girls behind her or next to her as she begins to change like the rest of them… shaking up uncomfortably around them as she does. "T-this is going to take some getting used to…" She mumbles while also tying her hair into a ponytail.

Unlike the rest of the new students, Class 1-A found themselves outside in an open pitch in gym clothes as their 'teacher' gave them an answer. "A Quirk Assessment Test!?" Almost all of them blurted out.

"But orientation, we're gonna miss it," Uraraka pointed out, and yet Mr. Aizawa had no regard for the event

"If you really want to make the big leagues, you can't waste time on pointless ceremonies." He answered, turning to them with a device in his hand. "Here at UA, we're not tethered to traditions, that means I get to run my class however I see fit. You've been taking standardized tests most of your lives, but you never got to use your Quirks in physical exams before." He displayed someone's numbers for everyone as an example, they were average, really good too but not anything special

"The country still likes to pretend that we're all created equal by not letting those with the most power excel. It's not rational, one day the Ministry of Education will learn." With that being said, he eyed Katsuki. "Bakugo, you managed to get the most points on the entrance exam, what was your farthest throw with a softball in junior high?"

The blonde gave it some thought, "67 meters, I think."

"Right, try doing it with your quirk," Tossing him a ball, Katsuki took his place on a standard grid for a pitcher. Once instructed, he was left to analyse what to do for a moment.

He did a stretch, then, with a devilish grin, he swung his arm. "DIE!" He hollered, blasting the softball high into the air with several rings and a blast of fire. Sending the ball soaring into the distance.

"Oh, wow..." Izuku gulped.

"All of you need to know your maximum capabilities," Aizawa spoke up, holding out his phone to show them Katsuki's score. "It's the most rational way of figuring out your potential as a pro hero," The text read 705.2 meters.

Ciana became incredibly nervous with what they are being told so far, she stood silently as she listened to their teacher. Ciana was very startled and wowed at Bakugo's fast throw, she didn't realize she would have to do the same. "This is kinda like an Olympic event but using superpowers instead of regular strength…" Ciana mumbles to herself as she eyes the results he did.

"I never practiced throwing… How will I even manage to pull this off? Doesn't help when everyone is going to be watching…" she gulped a bit nervously as her arms went behind her back, already she is doing her first assignment soon and is getting nervous she won't fit in well.

"Woah, 705 meters, are you kidding me?" The electric blonde Ciana met in her exam questioned with an anxious smile.

"Hey, this really looks like fun!" An all pink girl clapped excitedly.

"This is what I'm talking about, using our quirks as much as we want," Another guy said with strange protrusions around his elbows.

"So this looks fun... huh?" Mr. Aizawa made his move, it was clear that this wasn't simply out of the goodwill of a teacher, this was a hard lesson of life and they were all pieces of the game. "You have three years here to become a hero, you think it's all going to be games and playtime?" He finally smiled, but nothing comforting came from it. "Idiots. Today you will compete in eight tests to gauge your potential, the person in last has none and will be expelled immediately."

"WHAT!?" Everyone felt it, the weight now on their shoulders.

"Immediate expulsion? Eight tests? Oh, crap, not good!" Izuku felt like he was the sole target, out of everyone here, his power was completely useless after one go. Staring at his hand, it was beginning to tremble. "I can either go from nothing to one-hundred percent... my only hope is to rely solely on the breathing technique, that should bump me up higher than a few others... I hope,"

"Like I said I get to decide how this class runs," Mr. Aizawa lifted his hair, showing off his toothy grin and beady eyes. "Understand? If you got a problem you can head home right now."

Already Ciana shook up just as much hearing the possibility that she will get expelled if she fails. "Oh no… I-I didn't realize we were doing another kind of test to prove our worth here, was this part of my vision before? D-did I end up getting expelled and that's why I didn't see myself here…?"

Ciana started to hug herself in a very shaken manner, glancing at Izuku… Ciana was surprised to notice he was shaking up as well, her expression softening up in concern for her friend. Knowing this didn't help his confidence either. "Izuku…" Ciana whispered out in worry for him as she continued staring at him.

Ciana didn't want him to be shaken up knowing he's worked so hard to be here, she wasn't sure if it's much to help him… but when he looked her way, Cianas encouraging smile rose for him and gave him a thumbs up. Letting him know she believes in him.

While it wasn't much, he mirrored her gesture, thankful she had his back, even if only through encouragement.

"You can't send one of us home! We just got here, even if it wasn't the first day, that's not fair!" Uraraka argued, and yet not a single eye was batted from Aizawa.

"And you think natural disasters are? Are power-hungry villains, hmm? Are catastrophic accidents that wipe out whole cities? No, the world is filled with unfairness, it's a hero's job to combat that unfairness, if you want to be a hero you have to push yourself to the brink. For three years UA will throw one terrible hardship after another, so go beyond, plus ultra style." Izuku could understand his methods, this wasn't a simple case of a bad teacher, he knew the risks and was willing to push all of them, tooth and nail, to live through these expectations, to smash the unfair world.

With a taunt, he grinned. "Show it's no mistake you're here." And so it began. "Now, we're just wasting time here, let the games begin."

First up was the 50 Meter Dash. While Izuku was limited on his options, using Total Concentration he managed to come in close second to Katsuki's small blasts that launched him forward. It wasn't a great start but his score was much better with that initial burst of speed. "5.02 seconds!" The robotic camera called out.

Ciana was pretty amazed by the powers all the students had, though some of them looked really weird, the frog girl grossed her out as she secretly flinched by her gross long tongue. "She looks like a frog that mutated into a girl… Izuku sure wasn't kidding when he said their powers are mutated." Ciana thinks to herself, she knows she can use her aura power to quicken her speed during this round. "This part shouldn't be too hard at least…"

Ciana watched as Izuku and Katsuki raced, cheering for him on the sidelines. Even if he didn't come in first Ciana was quite impressed with him so far, quickly approaching him to praise him. "That was a great start, Izuku! Already you're doing well so don't give up!" Ciana tells him as her fists raised encouragingly.

Raising his head, Izuku smiled, nodding to her as he stepped by, "Thanks, Ciana, Good luck yourself,"

Taking to the field, since she was the last in an odd-numbered class, Ciana sustained a golden shimmer over her body, then, taking a deep breath, combined her quirk with Total Concentration. Once the signal resounded, her feet kicked up dust behind her as she raced without even breaking a sweat like she normally would. In the end, coming across the line with a skid, she heard the robot exclaim. "4.25 seconds!"

"Just faster than Izuku then..." She murmured, while impressive, she'd need to keep both skills constant if she wanted to excel.

Next up was the grip test. Once more, Izuku's new visualization of not allowing the egg to explode in the microwave didn't really pan out as he only topped around ninety kilograms of pressure, it was still much higher than he anticipated, but again, without this almost unknown technique, his body wouldn't be able to pump out such power naturally. Unfortunately, others around him soared above his score.

Ciana was starting to feel a little more confident in herself again knowing her power has got her back, while noticing Izuku was a little behind Ciana didn't stop believing in him.

The students were really funny the way they were using their powers and the way they showed off, these actions just made Ciana chuckle a few times as they were helping her to have some fun during the tests.

Whenever it was her turn to go up and then finish, Ciana would glance at Izuku and smile, even cheering for herself with her fists pumping the air. Hoping this will even bring some more confidence to Izuku.

Though suddenly Ciana took notice somebody was peeking from a corner of the building. "Hm? Whose that…?" She held her hand up to try and get a better look of the guy… already she recognized him. "Is that All Might? What's he doing watching in secret…?" She asked herself in confusion as she stared at him a little longer to process his motives.

The tests all flew by with mixed results, by now, the point Izuku dreaded came to pass. He had to follow on Uraraka's softball throw, which by all accounts, breaks the laws of physics as she obtained an Infinity as her score. Izuku felt lead build in his chest as he stared at the sensor ball in his hand. "All that's left is this... even Ciana did pretty well combining breathing and her quirk... the distance run, sit-ups, and seated toe touch, that's it," So far, all his scores have been above average for a regular human. "This is my best chance to use One For All,"

"If Midoriya doesn't shape up soon he's the one going home," Iida stated firmly, watching the greenette contemplate his move.

"Huh? Of course he is, he's a quirkless loser!" Katsuki pointed out like it was obvious, drawing confused looks from Uraraka and Iida while Ciana glowered at him.

"He has a quirk, didn't you hear about what he did during the entrance exam?" Iida questioned but Katsuki rolled his eyes with a scoff, clearly he hadn't.

Meanwhile, Aizawa watched the boy with a disinterested stare. "Here it comes..."

Having her eyes off the hero that is spying, Ciana does her best to ignore Bakugo as she focuses on her friend. Ciana kept on her smile as she continued to cheer for Izuku.

"You can do it Izuku! Show them what you're made of!" She shouted, Doing her best to encourage him anyway possible.

Izuku heard Ciana's voice, but his mind was elsewhere. To the biggest smile he's seen on his Mom's face in years.

"Izuku, I'm so proud of you!"

All Might's words to a boy with a broken dream, that pulled his spirit back from his own doubts and pity.

"Young Man, you too can become a hero,"

Ciana's bashful smile filled with admiration and kindness. "-You're my hero!"

Filled with a swelling pride, his body reacted sharply as his arm bent forward into a wide arc. "I won't let them down!" Hot reddish-purple lines etched over his skin, drawing forth untamable strength. "Yah!" He swung, but failed to see the piercing red eyes locked to his form. The ball soared... only a few meters away.

"68 meters!" The camera chimed.

"What gives, I tried to use it just now?" He wondered, "Even with the breathing technique it wasn't very far..."

Binds of Aizawa's scarf floated through the air, eyes a bright red through his wavy locks. "I erased your Quirk, the judges for this exam were not rational enough." Eraser Head spoke in a deep, irritated voice. "Someone like you should never be allowed to enroll at this school."

"You... erased it, I knew it," Izuku gulped dryly. "You're Eraserhead!"

"You're not ready, you don't have control over your power - and that strange way you're breathing you've been doing isn't enough," Aizawa continued to berate Izuku. "Were you planning to break your bones again regardless? Rely on someone else to save your useless body?"

"No, that's not what I was trying to do-!" His binds reached out, ensnaring Izuku and dragging him forward out of earshot of the others as his voice got lower.

"No matter what your intentions are, you would be nothing more than a liability in battle, you have the same reckless passion of another overzealous hero I know, one who saved a thousand people by himself and became a legend," Aizawa berated both Izuku and All Might.

Aizawa continued to glare down at Izuku, binds locking him in place. "Even with that drive, you're worthless if you can only throw a single punch before breaking down. I'm sorry Midoriya, but with your power, there is no way you can become a hero."

Yeah. He knew that all too well. He didn't need a Pro to tell him that, or anyone for that matter. His power was useless in his hands, one punch and that's an arm down. Izuku lowered his head, ashamed and embarrassed at the harsh truth. How could he ever be someone's hero if he was still useless?

Ciana could not believe what she is hearing from their teacher, Cianas eyes went wide with shock the way he looks down on him, this probably was not a great approach but… she couldn't let him look down on Izuku like this… clenching her fists, Ciana stepped in as she shouted, not caring if the others might judge her.

"Your wrong!" Ciana shouted, glaring at the eraser guy with no fear in her eyes. "Izuku has the heart of a hero more than any hero I know here! You have no idea what you're saying! Even hero's act reckless at times but he's much stronger than you think!" Ciana stands her ground.

Aizawa didn't pay her any mind, his eyes returned to normal and he released Izuku from his bindings. "I've returned your impractical Quirk, take your final throw... hurry up and get it over with." With that he walked away, leaving Izuku with his head down in defeat.

"Thanks... you didn't need to say all that to him," Izuku didn't smile, raising his head again. "I'll... do my best... or whatever I can do..." What else was there? Either all out or nothing, he would fail if he didn't do something.

Ciana frowned sadly at Izuku when she approached him more, she hated whenever anyone would talk down on people like that. "Izuku don't let this guy get under your skin, he doesn't know what he's talking about. There's always going to be someone who will judge you but that shouldn't encourage you to believe what they say."

She tells him softly but doesn't stop talking yet. "You just have to keep proving them wrong, I know he will think differently if you just keep trying. Don't give up no matter what anyone might say to you because I know you have what it takes to be a real hero." She smiled more compassionately toward him, wanting to cheer him up the best she could do for him.

Izuku, while grateful for Ciana's words of encouragement, he still felt a pit in his stomach. What could he do? "I've only got one shot at nailing this so what am I going to do?" He whispered to himself, alone with his thoughts. "Do I just let the egg explode, it might be my last shot to stay at UA,"

Ciana still believed in him, that was enough, that was more than enough! Izuku bore his teeth, eyes the size of pins with a firm grip on the ball. "I have to try something! No matter the consequences!" He craned his arm back, energy flowing into his arm and into his hand. "Mr Aizawa was right about what he said! I am useless if I'm a glass cannon! If I can't control my quirk then I can't become a hero!"

"I have to work harder than anyone else here if I want to succeed! I may not have an answer yet, but I'll focus on what I can do for now!"

He craned his arm back, energy flowing into his arm and into his hand. Ciana stepped forward slightly, mouth ajar at what she saw. Same for those paying close attention. His energy was dissipating, but not completely, the ball was leaving his hand and yet a small, radiant source of One for All resonated in his index finger. At the last possible point of contact, Izuku fired off his Quirk, "SMASH!"

The shockwave blazed through the air in several rings of air pressure, the ball soaring through the sky and back onto the other end of the pitch. Despite the obvious blowback, he turned, clenching his fist with only a single, broken finger. "Mr Aizawa... you see, I'm still standing." It was unbearable but Izuku bit his tongue and rolled with the punches as usual

It surprised Aizawa so much that he grinned, "This kid...!"

Despite the amazing display Izuku just showed… Ciana gasped when she took notice of his injured finger, her expression now looking very worried as her hands went to her mouth in shock. "Izuku…" she mumbled out in much concern as she watched him from the sidelines.

"His finger, he… I never guessed his superpower would cause quick damage to his body like this… is this how he easily broke his bones before…?" Ciana continued to stare at his finger as this left many fearful thoughts about what his new power is doing to him.

"If… I-if he keeps pushing himself like that to cause his bones to break…" Ciana already felt shaken up imagining this is a way he could easily die from, she was beyond speechless right now.

The others had the polar opposite reaction to the stunt. "He threw it over 700 meters!?" The electric blonde gawked.

"Nice! He's finally showing us his true power!" Uraraka cheered.

"Hm, his finger appears to be broken now, just like in the exam," Iida rubbed his chin, glancing to Ciana's pale expression. "I can't imagine you were aware of this?"

She just shook her head slowly.

"It wasn't a very pretty throw," The one with the stomach lazer shrugged.

The worst reaction was that of Katsuki's, his whole face contorted in utter disbelief, unable to find the words for what he just witnessed. "What the hell was that!? If he had a quirk he would've gotten it when we were kids, this is impossible!" That confusion boiled down into a resentful rage. "He's up to something! That damn Blank knows something too!" His eyes narrowed as he glowered at Izuku clutching his hand after the recoil. "I'm getting to the bottom of this...!" He let off a few blasts out of habit.

"DEKU! You bastard! Tell me how you did that or else!?" Katsuki roared, the reaction and his murderous charge leaving the greenette to scream in terror at his murderer's approach.

Ciana's fearful thoughts were easily snapped back into reality when she saw Bakugo going on an angry rampage again, quickly she jumped in the way. Ciana knew Bakugo would go nuts seeing his superpower but she didn't want him to hurt Izuku over this, or give Bakugo another bad reputation in this school.

"Bakugo stop! This isn't the right time to confront him about this!" Ciana quickly says as her arms spread out to defend her friend from behind.

"Get the hell outta my way, Blank!" He snarled, moving to shove her aside and had those same fabric binds not immediately swung free to catch Katsuki dead in his tracks. "Wh-why the hell is your damn s-scarf so strong!?" He grunted, trying to fight its impressive grip on his body; it didn't help that now Aizawa had activated his Eraser quirk too.

"Because it's a capture weapon made out of carbon fiber and a special metal alloy," He replied. "Stand down, it's a bad idea to make me use my quirk so much, it gives me serious dry eye."

"Too bad, that power's amazing!" The student body praised.

After Katsuki calmed down, he released him, rubbing his eyes. "You're wasting time, whoever's next, step up," With a wave, Aizawa was back to his tired state.

Slowly, Izuku grabbed Ciana's shoulders as the two inched themselves away from the frozen blonde as Uraraka spoke up with worry. "Hey, is your finger okay?"

"Sure, just stings a bit," He reassured, looking to Ciana with a soft smile. "Sorry, it's not too bad, I mean it, see?" He outstretched his hand, his broken finger moved slightly but not by much. "Oh, and thanks for doing that there, getting in front of Kacchan," Izuku didn't know what to do if Aizawa and Ciana hadn't stepped in when they did.

Despite the harsh shove Bakugo did towards her, Ciana became worried what this will lead to both Izuku and Bakugo. Ciana stared at Bakugo in a bit of a worried manner before her attention was taken away by Izuku who took hold of her shoulders.

Even when Izuku said he was okay it wasn't enough to calm her fear as her gaze went back to his finger, clearly her expression became very concerned and fearful. Her gaze looked back up to Izuku's face as her hands went to heart to try and calm it. "Izuku… you… please don't push yourself too hard like that again next time." Is what she ended up telling him, her eyes showing much fear for his sudden pain.

"I..." But again, he had to remember Ciana wasn't accustomed to this as he was. Izuku had learned from the get-go his power would be dangerous, but she didn't. Instead, he smiled and nodded before squeezing her shoulder with his good hand. "Sorry, I promise unless absolutely necessary," It was the best he could do, at the end of the day, he had no choice, until he learned to control his quirk, he had to take risks but only if his life was in danger or another's.

Hearing that wasn't enough to calm her worries, Ciana stared at his face for a few moments in concern before looking back down to his injured hand as she carefully went to hold it to observe his finger, her power didn't activate as much as she wanted to use it to try and help him. But all Ciana could do was look over his injured finger as she could tell by how it looked… It was incredibly painful.

"Could Izuku be doing something this reckless behind my back he mentioned before about his power…?" Her eyes narrowed as she now wondered what kind of secret he was hiding, just seeing a little broken finger like this had her afraid a tragedy will lead to him like her mom… flinching at the memory… Ciana let go of his hand as she ended up facing away from him but mostly to not show any possible tears and fear appearing in her eyes.

Izuku went to say something but fought against the idea, he really couldn't just say he'd not use One For All, as Aizawa would say, it's not practical. Maybe later he'd talk to her about it, but for now, they had the last stretch of their tests to perform. So Izuku bit his cheek to the pain in his hand as he passed Uraraka a sad smile, shaking her head as she looked ready to ask something.

All she did was nod back.

The rest of the tests went on as normal, with Izuku feeling a little wiped out but that was to be expected as none of them truly required his quirk to work, the whole time, Ciana had said nothing to him. Eventually, the class gathered to hear the results. "Alright, here are your results, I ranked you all from best to worst, you should have a good understanding of your position already. I'll just bring up the whole list, it's not worth going over each individual score,"

"This is it, whoever is last is going to be expelled," Izuku's world felt dark and cold. "And the only test I did amazing in was the softball throw, can I make it by on that score alone? I botched the rest of the tests," He squeezed his eyes shut, praying he did enough.

Aizawa hit a button on his device, bringing up a holographic projection of the list he compiled. Izuku forced himself to look up. In order it was. Yaoyorozu, Todoroki, Bakugo, Iida, Tokoyami, Shoji, Ojiro, Ashido, Uraraka, Kota, Sato, Asui, Aoyama, Sero, Ciana, Kaminari, Midoriya, Jiro, Hagakure, Mineta.

"I... I did it...?" Izuku muttered in disbelief, beating not one, but three others.

"Man, that was too close," A girl with jacks attached to her earlobes exhaled slightly.

"T-tell me about it," Izuku gulped.

Ciana felt relieved not only did she pass but Izuku did too, even if she's afraid something bad will happen to him Ciana continued believing in him. Ciana was concerned for his well-being, she glanced at her friend as she perked up a little smile and a thumbs up toward him.

Though right now she wasn't sure what to say as her thoughts continued to wonder and looked down to the ground. "So… I didn't end up failing, but… I wonder where this is all leading? All Might looked like he was eying Izuku the whole time we were in the middle of the test… I know they are friends but the way he eyed him intimidatingly… was he expecting something out of his power?"

Ciana had her hand on her chin as she wondered about their connections now. "Why would he be so interested in watching Izuku?"

"Y-y-you've gotta be freakin' kidding meeee!" Mineta, the shortest in the class with purple balls growing out of his head sobbed at his failure with the invisible girl, Hagakure visibly slumping with tears of joy. "How'd I lose to some chick who just turns invisible-!?"

The scores vanished. "And I was lying no one's going home." Silent rang over them all, most with eyes frozen in place, mouths agape. Aizawa set them all up. With a cheeky grin, he answered their burning hatred. "That was just a rational deception to make sure you gave it your all in the tests."

"WHAT!?"

"I thought the rest of you figured that out, I'm sorry I guess I should have said something." A taller girl with a spiky ponytail apologized plainly.

"Yeah, you should have," Several glowered at her at their near-heart attacks.

"But let me be clear to you," Aizawa spoke up again. "Take these scores into consideration, your starting ground so to speak. Where you rank proves how efficient you are with your abilities, and while many of you have room to grow, those at the top should consider that there is much more to explore from your start line, understood?" Everyone nodded quickly. "Good, now, pick up a syllabus in your classroom, read it over by tomorrow, and once you're ready, meet me at your dorm and I'll run you through the groundwork. UA is your home for three years, and I expect all of you to treat it with respect,"

And like that, they survived their first day in High School by the skin of their teeth.

"Thank heaven..." Izuku couldn't have felt more alive then and there.

"Midoriya," He perked up as Aizawa handed him a notice. "Take this and go to the nurse's office, have the old lady patch you up," Then the underground hero rubbed his neck a bit. "Your quirk is highly destructive, we'll learn to control that as quickly as possible, no excuses, got it?"

Suddenly, Izuku felt that anxiety around his teacher diminished a little. "Ye-yes sir,"

Despite the shock to hear eraser head only said he expel them just to perk them up… it brought a lot of relief to Ciana but actually understood the man's intentions. Hearing that Izuku was going to the nurse, Ciana immediately came up as she still looked worried for her friend.

"I'll come too, I-I mean if that's okay sir…" Ciana nervously asked with her arms behind her back, right now she wasn't sure how their new teacher views her after telling him off before… knowing if she did that to her teachers at home in school, she would be in trouble.

"As long as you do what I instructed and aren't late," Aizawa replied.

With a quick bow, she jogged up to move into pace with Izuku, the greenette happier now that they weren't being expelled. "That was too much for one test, UA really doesn't hold its punches," He laughed slightly. "Great job, by the way, your score was pretty good,"

Now walking by his side, Ciana eyes her friend with a proud smile and a nod. "Thanks, I'm proud of you too for giving it your all. But…" her expression became concerned again as she looked back down to his finger. "When you said you broke your bones before, I… didn't think it was your power that ended up hurting you…" she expresses worryingly, still seeing his pain like this bothered her.

He understood her worries, it honestly frightened him at first when he was left unable to even stand without Recovery Girl's quirk. "I know, it was a shock for me, but... like Mr Aizawa said, we'll figure it out, I just have... ten shots I guess if I used all my fingers," He grimaced. "Yeah, that really doesn't make me feel any better to be honest."

Making their way to Recovery Girl's office didn't take long, the room coming into view down the hall.

"I don't know how you'll be able to control your powers, Izuku but I hope you're doing it in a way that doesn't cause a lot of pain…" she scolds him, looking behind her and around them to make sure no one was looking. Before they entered Ciana quickly gave a quick kiss to Izuku's cheek, since their test was over this was probably a good time to help boost his stamina back…

A buzz travelled through Izuku's whole body as his face broke out in a small blush, ever since they kissed his heart's been on the fritz around Ciana more and more that it was almost overwhelming. "I-I uh, t-t-thank you," He managed to get out, feeling that onset of fatigue vanished once more, and the stinging in his finger lessened a bit. Ciana giggled at his reaction, enjoying how nervous he got.

"So you've broken another bone, you really are too reckless," The second they opened the door, the short old lady berated him upon entry. She waved her cane. "Now, come in and I'll have it patched up for you,"

"Y-you already knew when I opened the door?" Izuku stuttered, the heat in his face subsiding a little.

Recovery Girl frowned deeply. "Young man, when you do this job for as long as I have you learn many things about regular patients, now sit," She tapped the stool as Izuku waited. She then leaned forward as her lips extended slightly to kiss his palm, causing a pink aura to surround his broken finger and repair the bone, the discoloration fading back into its normal pigment in seconds. "Now, eat these gummies, and I'll sign the notice," Taking the slip Aizawa gave Izuku, he sat and chewed away, flexing his hand a few times.

Ciana stood by when she watched the nurse work her magic. It was a real surprise to her that the nurses own way of kissing was not only a little creepy… but very fascinating. Izuku was right when he and their mentor said her power was similar to her. "Whoa I wish I could do that too." Ciana couldn't help but comment as her hand went to her chin.

Ciana began to wonder if that method would be embarrassing for some patients, knowing Bakugo… he either be very flustered by that kind of healing or angry… probably both. Already Ciana chuckled just imagining that silly display, but right now Ciana was a bit more relieved now to see Izuku was all healed up again.

"I heard your quirk replenishes stamina unlike mine that drains a person to repair the damage," Recovery Girl spoke with her back to them as she worked at her desk. "Be sure to do so for this young man if he starts to get tired out quickly, can't have Aizawa breathing down his neck, can we?" She said it like it's not the first time it's happened.

"T-thank you, ma'am," Izuku bowed, then took his leave with Ciana, a little flustered as Ciana appeared somewhat weirded out by the method in which he was healed. "I-it really wasn't comfortable the first time she did that,"

Despite being a bit weirded out by her method of kissing at least it was useful… Ciana was secretly glad she could do it in a more normal way and not stretch her lips like that, now walking by Izuku's side as she ended up chuckling at what he said.

"I now know what you were talking about before, at least about her power, didn't think I wouldn't be the only one to give that much affection to you toward your health." Ciana teases with another giggle. "It would be embarrassing for me if I told anyone that method I can do to boost other people better."

"W-well, if the situation called for it..." Izuku murmured, looking away as they walked back to class to grab their things before getting changed. "...when you think about it, i-in a serious situation, it could h-help save someone's life, so yeah, i-it's pretty embarrassing but the end result would be worth it, r-right?"

"Yeah… you do have a point." She responds as she grabs her bag, now that he mentions it… if Izuku ended up being in a bad situation to get himself seriously hurt… what would happen to her if she revived him…? Ciana ended up finding out a few things about her powers, they did test the other method but they didn't when he was injured at the time. "I wonder… what would happen if I did that when he was injured?"

Ciana asked herself in a whisper, glancing back to her friend as she wondered more about that. "I guess it would be worth it if I got to protect the ones who are very important to me…" Ciana says as she swung her bag over her shoulder now.
