Totally Spies: A Totally New Beginning!
Chapter 7
Disclaimer: The characters of Totally Spies belong to their creators. The original characters are of my own creation.
Sam, Clover, Alex, Jake, Nate, and Lee regained consciousness to find themselves chained by their wrists and hanging from the ceiling inside what looked like a medieval dungeon.
"Where are we?" Sam asked.
"We seem to be in some sort of medieval-like dungeon," Jake speculated. "And hanging by our wrists."
Just then, a man, who looked identical to the clones the spies captured days ago, only with the letter A on the front shirt and a belt with a lit belt-buckle, entered the dungeon, followed by two lookalikes, only with different letters and without glowing belt buckles.
"Hello, spies," The man with the letter A on his shirt spoke.
"You must be Doctor Albert Phal," Nate speculated.
"Or should we say, Alpha?" Lee added.
"We know your agents are clones you've created," Sam spoke up.
"Do you now?" Alpha said. He then asked. "And do you know why I made them and targeted you for capture?"
"It was in retaliation for the military, WOOHP, along with various other organizations rejecting your proposal of the development and use of clones to do the same work birth-born humans do," Sam replied.
"Wrong!" Alpha said. "It was for my cousin who you made into a cybernetic hybrid and foiled his plot to turn WOOHP against you. I have to admit, he's one heck of a safecracker."
Sam, Clover, and Alex soon realized who Alpha was talking about.
"Macker is your cousin?" Sam asked in disbelief.
"Yes," Alpha replied. "And I was the one who provided him with the cloning technology for his plan to turn WOOHP against you."
"Why have your clones communicating in Morse Code?" Lee asked.
"To create confusion among those who like to listen in on open channels," Alpha said to Lee. "Nobody uses morse code anymore."
"Too bad you didn't know I could read Morse Code," Lee taunted.
Sam soon spoke up to Alpha, "Why did you try and kill Jake, Nate, and Lee? Wasn't it me, Clover, and Alex you were after?"
"I tried to keep your spy boyfriends from helping you when my agents snatch you and your friends," Alpha replied to Sam's question. "After learning your spy boyfriends were in your house when a few of my other agents destroyed their house, I was in great disbelief. But I soon came up with the idea of capturing them too and rather than have you, Clover, and Alex eliminated I would watch you three suffer a life of grief by taking your spy boyfriends away from you."
"But Nate is my soulmate!" Clover cried.
"Soulmate?" Alpha asked. "Nate must mean so much to you. Seems like I'll be getting more than what I bargained for!"
Alpha then pulled out a walkie-talkie with a telegraph key and pressed the telegraph key a few times.
"Men, be ready to execute Jake, Nate, and Lee," Lee translated.
"Nice job for translating," Alpha commented. "We'll be back to watch the execution." He then spoke to the two clones with him. "Agent Foxtrot. Agent Igloo. Let's go."
After that was said, Alpha, Foxtrot, and Igloo walked out of the dungeon, closed the door, and locked it behind them.
Clover sadly turned to Nate, "Nate, I don't wanna lose you!"
"You two really like each other, don't you?" Sam asked.
"Yes," Clover and Nate said as they turned to Sam.
"We are gonna find a way out of this," Lee assured.
"But how are we gonna do that?" Nate asked.
"I don't know," Lee replied. "But we must think of something."
Nate slumped, "This whole fiasco really bites!"
Sam, upon hearing the last word Nate spoke, quickly realized something, "That's it!"
"What's it?" Nate asked.
"The Metal-Biting Snap-On Teeth," Sam replied.
She then pulled herself up and bit the shackle holding her right wrist and ripped it apart, freeing her hand before quickly grabbing hold of the chain with the shackle holding her left wrist with her free hand.
Next, she spat the part of the shackle she bit into out of her mouth before biting into the left shackle, ripping it apart and freeing herself completely.
Lastly, Sam spit out the part of the left shackle she bit into before letting go of the chain that held her left wrist and touch down onto the floor.
The other spies soon followed Sam's example and freed themselves.
Clover and Nate pulled each other in for a hug.
"I'll call, Jerry," Sam spoke. She then opened her Compowder and got static on the screen. "My Compowder is not working."
Jake pulled out his Smartphone and got static on the screen.
"My Smartphone isn't working either," Jake groaned. "I think this dungeon has been designed to block signals."
Clover and Nate broke the hug before the former spoke, "We're gonna have to get out of here in order to send out a signal."
"The question is: how?" Nate added.
Just then, the six spies heard the door beginning to unlock.
Sam, Clover, and Nate quickly got up against the wall on the left side of the door while Jake, Alex, and Lee quickly got up against the wall on the right side of the door.
The door opened just before Alpha, Igloo, Foxtrot along with clones with the letters J, K, and L walked in. What's more was that the latter three clones were wielding electric staffs.
"They've escaped!" Alpha screamed, noticing the chains with broken shackles.
Sam, Clover, and Alex quickly pulled out their Net Throwing Extendable Rod Mascara rods and fired nets at Alpha and the clones, trapping them.
The six spies quickly made their escape out the door and noticed a clone with the letter H on his shirt and holding a ring with a key on it.
Sam quickly took down the clone, seized the key, and used it to lock the door to the dungeon.
"That should hold them for a while," Sam said.
She and the other spies soon made their run down a hallway.
Back in the dungeon, Alpha and the other agents struggled to escape from the nets holding them.
Alpha pulled out a knife from his pocket and was able to cut the net, freeing himself and the others from the nets they were in.
Igloo kicked on the door and groaned, "The door's locked!"
"I'll send a distress signal," Foxtrot spoke up before reaching for his walkie-talkie with telegraph key.
"Good luck with that," Alpha said in an annoyed tone. "Signals can't get in or out of this dungeon. The only way to get a signal through is to open the door."
"What do we do?" Foxtrot asked.
"Simple," Alpha spoke. He then reached into his boot on his right foot, pulled out a key, walked up to the door and used the key to unlock and open the door. "Spare key. Now, Foxtrot!"
Foxtrot then sent out the distress signal to the other clones within the facility via his walkie-talkie with telegraph key.
Sam, Clover, Alex, Jake, Nate, and Lee were still running through the hallway and came across a T intersection when the alarm sounded.
"The other clones must know we've broken out now," Jake speculated.
The six spies soon heard the noise of footsteps and getting louder and louder.
Sam quickly noticed a janitor's closet and pointed it out to the other spies.
The six quickly took cover in it just before six Phonetic 26 agents ran by.
"I'll get Jerry on," Sam whispered. She then pulled out her Compowder and was about to contact Jerry when his hologram suddenly appeared.
"Spies," Jerry spoke.
"Jerry, Alpha is the cousin of Macker," Sam spoke before Jerry could say anything. "He made his clones as part of a plan to avenge his cousin."
"Oh my!" Jerry gasped. "Anyway, I contacted you to inform you that using a WOOHP satellite capable of deep surface scanning, I was able to not only get a good layout of the lair, but also detect the source of the signal controlling the clones' biochips."
"Well, where is the source of the signal?" Jake spoke up.
"It quickly changes location," Jerry said. "It's as if someone's wearing it."
Suddenly, the door opened and there was Alpha with all 25 of his clones.
"There's nowhere for you to run," Alpha said.
Jake soon thought of something and spoke to Alpha's clones, "Hey, why are you helping Alpha?"
"He's our leader," The clone with the letter G on his shirt spoke. "And we obey him."
"He knows whose friend or foe," A clone with the letter B on his shirt spoke. "You six are foe."
Jake huffed, "But are we the ones who planted biochips in all your heads, Bravo?"
"What do you mean?" Bravo asked. "And how do you know my name?"
"The chips were designed to ensure total obedience, and in the event, you get captured, automatically erases your memories," Jake replied. "And you, Alpha, and the other clones are named for letters of the Phonetic alphabet."
The clones turned to Alpha and glared at him.
"Is this really true, Alpha?" Bravo demanded.
Alpha quicky pressed the light on his belt buckle, "You agents will obey me!"
The clones went into a zombie-like state before turning their attention back toward the spies.
"It's his belt buckle that's controlling the clones!" Nate spoke.
Clover quickly pulled out a laser lipstick and shot the belt buckle, destroying it and causing the clones to go into a state of disarray.
"No!" Alpha shouted. "My agents!"
"Glad I always keep a spare gadget on me," Clover said with a triumphant smirk.
The clones looked at the spies and continued to walk towards them with their hands out.
"We must carry out Alpha's orders!" Bravo announced.
Upon hearing this, Alpha cheered, "Yes!"
"Why take orders from Alpha?" Jake asked. "Like I said, he's the one who put biochips in all your heads when he created you. The chips are designed to make you extremely compliant. The chip also erases the clone's memory in the event of capture."
Lee soon added, "Jake had to repeat what he said since Alpha used the biochip control device on his belt to brainwash you into obeying him."
The clones gasped and all turned to Alpha with scowls on their faces.
Alpha developed a pale look on his face as he raised his arms, backed away, and said, "There must be some big misunderstanding."
"Oh, don't act so innocent," Jake snarled.
"Echo? Hotel?" Bravo spoke up. "Get Alpha!"
Alpha then ran like his life depended on it as Echo and Hotel gave chase.
The rest of the clones present turned to the spies just as the spies walked out of the closet.
"Thanks for freeing us," Bravo said in appreciation.
"Nice work spies!" Came a voice familiar to the WOOHP spies.
The spies and clones present looked to see Jerry, a few WOOHP agents, and the four clones that were previously captured.
"Delta, Romeo, X-ray, and Zulu!" Bravo said in excitement.
"Hey," Delta waved.
"I thought the chips erased your memories when you were captured," Bravo said.
"They did erase their memories," Jerry answered. "But thanks to the spies copying everything Delta, Romeo, and X-ray knew, WOOHP was able to download the information back into their brains. But not before removing their biochips."
"What about Zulu?" Igloo asked.
Jerry sighed, "I'm afraid it's too late to restore his memories. So, he has to be reeducated."
"I learned that two plus two equals four," Zulu spoke up.
Bravo soon thought of something and asked, "Wait, if the chips automatically erase a clone's memory if captured, how come we still have our memories since we are now captured by WOOHP?"
"When the transmitter controlling the chips was destroyed, it deactivated the chips, rendering them incapable of doing anything," Jerry spoke. "But just to be on the safe side, I'll have you and the other clones taken to WOOHP HQ to have your chips removed. We'll also help create human identities for you as well so you can live life like a birth-born human would. And if you ever wanna join WOOHP, feel free to do so; I learned from studying your brothers that you all possess the spy gene."
Jake the added, "Clones made from a single genetic template all have the same DNA in them."
"Thanks," Bravo said in appreciation.
Just then, Echo and Hotel came up holding Alpha by the arms.
"As for, Alpha," Jerry continued. "He will be taken to the WOOHP containment facility where he clearly belongs."
"What's gonna happen to us?" Echo asked.
Bravo gestured his head towards, Jerry, "This man…"
"Jerry," Jerry answered.
"Will enable us to live like birth-born humans and gave us the option to join WOOHP," Bravo replied. "He will also have the biochips Alpha put into our heads removed."
"I call them inhibitor chips," Alpha pointed out. He then taunted. "And I doubt you'll be able to live like birth-born humans, let alone become WOOHP agents."
"Echo? Hotel?" Bravo called out. "Help WOOHP take him away."
Echo and Hotel nodded before they joined up with the other WOOHP agents in escorting Alpha to the WOOHP containment facility.
To Be Concluded...
A/N: Once again, evil has been defeated.
Next up, the conclusion.
