This is the fith and final chapter of this story, that was originally supposed to be a one-shot with around 5 to 6 thousands words But now ended up with almost 18 thousand words.

"Scanned you?" Timmy was confused about that. "I thought she taught you about your family-history and about your home… ehm… the planet your father comes from…"

"Aww… come on! Say it: My home planet!" Jonathan moaned and threw his fork on the plate. He only had a few bites and already lost his appetite. "I mean… aww… Before today… Every time I thought about Krypton… I felt nothing. No connection. No relation. Absolutely nothing! It's just the place my father was born at… If someone would have asked me something about my ancestors or about Krypton in general, I would always had to say that I don't know anything. As I said: Krypton is only about having powers!"

Jonathan moaned and buried his face in his hands. He was upset…

"Turns out… I am from a family full of highly regarded scientist. My Kryptonian grandma was one of Krypton's renowned geneticist. And my Kryptonian grandfather was one of the smartest scientists, too. Our family, the House of El, is one of the most respected family's and very well known for their high moral values. My great-grandfather even… oh… I tell you that later."

"Yeah… but what did you mean?"

"What I meant to say: My grandmother said I have a lot of potential. After the last two years, where everyone in my family only sees in me the human-one, drug-taking, damsel-in-distress that is all on his own… she wanted to prove me that I am allowed to wear or family-crest and call myself Kryptonian. And I admit after her encouragement, I feel much more comfortable about the whole 'being partly kryptonian' thing. Even if my dad tried to convince me that I have nothing to do with Krypton. After all… with my X-K abuse I brought so much shame about a family I had no clue about how awesome they once were…"

"I was talking about the 'scanning-thing'!" Timmy responded still confused.

"Oh… well… that was a reminder of my own weirdness." Jonathan said and became pale. "I… aww… I…"

"You don't need to talk about it, if you don't want!"

"No! No, better an end with horror, then endless horror… aww… I told you how… My dad used to take Jordan to our grandfather to get him scanned. To check… how his powers develop and how much Kryptonian he is… My grandmother, wanted to know how much Kryptonian I am…"

"Okay? And?"

Jonathan closed his eyes and took a deep breath again.

"…She could had warned me before…" he murmured. He was trembling. "…well… I am definitely… Superman's-son! I am… a Human-Kryptonian-Hybrid. My guess that I got switched at birth was … ehm… I am… just like my brother… with the only difference…"

Jonathan stopped talking. His face turned deeply red. Trying to find an easy way to explain it.

"Ehm… that he has powers and you not?" Timmy asked.

"No!"

"So, you have powers, too?"

Jonathan only shrugged. "I was not prepared for this!"

"Wow… That's so awesome! What powers? How strong are you? How …"

"Timmy, stop!" Jonathan wailed. "I… I… My grandmother said… I am developing like my brother. The only difference was that his… ehm… I don't know how to explain it… ehm… He… Let's say Jordan's abilities only began to develop earlier and were a bit… let's say rocky… while I… I… just develop on a slower pace and will have less trouble dealing with those powers, because my body is actually more suited for them… and… Nobody knows when they will come… a couple of days, a few weeks, or a few months… but they will come! And I and Jordan… we will become both like our dad, sooner or later. Powers, strength… the ability to fly…"

"This is sooo cooooool!" Timmy cheered. Finally, his true excitement began to show up. Out of respect for his friend, he remained calm so far. But now he figured out that Jonathan was on the way to become 'Superboy', too.

"For you maybe! But for me it was just one more proof that my father only cares for powers." Jonathan cried. Another tear running down his face…

"What? Now I am confused!"

"Aww… I ehm… told you that Jordan urgently wants me to have powers, too. So… he was totally happy! And my dad began to talk immediately about training… about spending time together… I… I want him to spend time with me, because he wants it and not because he must. I… I want that he loves me for who I am and not for being able to shoot lasers out of my eyes…" Jonathan burst out in tears.

Timmy finally understood it: His father let Jonathan feel that he will only care for him when he gets powers. And Jonathan felt like he was forced into something.

"He… always said he is happy that I got spared! Spared! While he always apologized to Jordan for every new power, he got… But Jordan got mentally stronger and more self-confident with every new power. No matter how much 'ashamed' my father was. They… They grew so much closer over the past two years while I desperately looked for a way to get my parent's attention for years. My whole life was a lie. And now he wants to spend time with me now that I am about to develop powers, too… Aww…"

"What if he really means it?"

"Timmy… If I had left today without getting knocked out by him, he wouldn't even know that because he never cared or wanted to know… I could… I don't know… I could accidentally blow up the whole street because I have no clue how to handle these powers. And instead of helping me he would have accuse me of taking X-K again." Jonathan cried. "I feel like… like… he really wanted to leave me alone with it. Unprepared… ehm…"

"Ins kalte Wasser geworfen?" Timmy offered. (Thrown into cold water?)

"What?"

"That's how it's said in German!" Timmy shrugged. "Getting overwhelmed by something… you got not prepared to."

"Yeah… that's it…" Jonathan took a deep breath again. "Everything I always reached in life suddenly seems so unlogic again… My… My humanity was the only thing I could rely on! I got told that I am the human one, just to learn that I was never fully human. And now even that is going to vanish, sooner or later…"

"You see this so negative!"

Jonathan just shrugged. "As I said… I have no clue what I am, who I am, and what I will be! I… I am an god-dammed alien. Jordan does not need to bother it?"

"And what do you mean with that now?"

"If Jordan goes to the doctor… And… gets examined… The doctor won't find anything. Jordan's hybrid-structure is so… human… that nobody would mention is true origins!" Jonathan explained upset. "If I go to the doctor… I… I won't be 'the-human-one' anymore. Because even without powers, my blood, and my cells and my… my whole body is more Kryptonian than Jordan. I can get Kryptonian sicknesses! Jordan got enough human antibodies to be immune. I am immune against Kryptonite… Jordan is not! My Kryptonian grandmother even start to talk about using my blood for a serum to protect Jordan and my dad from Kryptonite-poisoning…"

"So, you are not useless!"

"Timmy! Please… stop… Really… I love my Kryptonian grandmother. Really! She is awesome and I really look forward to see her again. She wants to show and teach me so many awesome things… But she also wanted to know why everyone calls me human and made her scan… but I wish she would had forewarned me… aww…"

Jonathan suddenly felt that urge to grab something and shatter it on the wall or the ground…

"…I… don't know why my father waited for so long… Once I was dreaming that he finally takes me to his fortress to introduce me to my grandfather. But instead he threw me into a volcano and yelled it's for Kryptonians only…"

Jonathan turned pale again.

"But… he didn't let you drop today, don't he?" Timmy said, hoping it will cheer Jon a bit up.

"I made a fool of myself today, all the time. I asked Jordan to fly with me and… I was… I was… was wearing my father's suit and jumping like a little kid that was playing, in my desperate attempt to fly…"

Timmy tried to imagine it and suppressed a laugh…

"STOP LAUGHING!" Jonathan yelled embarrassed.

"I am not laughing! I think you just did what everyone would do! We used to do that every day when we were little!" Timmy said with a bright smile and pretty amused.

"Aww… I was floating!" Jonathan confessed and blushed.

"What?"

"Yeah… I… It was very very briefly… but… I think for a second maybe… I was floating…"

"Cool! The coolest power of all! How does it feel?"

Jonathan lowered his head while his pale face turned red again. "Aww… It was absolutely incredible. Indescribably awesome… aww… I think it is time to stop denying! I mean… I should had seen the signs! I… I sleep less than three hours per night, and I am fine. I… I never got sunburn… I… I was always fitter than the others… I stopped sweating a while ago… I learned an alien language in a couple of hours… I… I… I am a fucking Kryptonian…"

Jonathan put his head on the table and wailed…

"Are you better now?" Timmy asked worried. "Just let it out!"

"Let it out? What about you? I told you all those things about Superman and you act like… like… How many painkillers did the paramedics give you?"

Timmy looked on the bandages on his arms. "I don't know anymore!"

Jonathan moaned again. "I… What… What shall I do now? I am mad. Mad, tired and my headache is getting worse again… I … My grandma told me to not to forgive my parents that easy, too. She is really mad on my dad for withholding so many things from me! And… I don't know… what the hell I am supposed to do now!"

"You… you could… text your mom that you arrived well. You told her that you will do that!" Timmy suggested with a shrug.

With a loud moan, Jonathan took his smartphone and texted his mother 'I am at Timmy's place now!'.

"Did I tell you that she watched angry parents of my former teammates dogging me and didn't even ask me if I am okay after? She just watched it happen!" Jonathan moaned. "Extraordinary humans… pah…"

There was a quick respond from Lois.

'Call or text us if you need everything! We love you! If you need to talk to someone, I'll be there. Or if there is a problem, don't hesitate to call us.'

Jonathan took his phone and texted back: 'No need to call! Dad and Jordan can hear everything! Just ask them!'

Angrily Jonathan threw his phone on the table and looked on a picture on the wall. A picture of Timmy and his parents in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Jonathan saw the Eiffel-Tower today, too. While his father took him on a trip around the world. Definitely a unique way to see the famous monument. Jonathan became a bit happier while thinking about his flight with his father. A flight he and his father both enjoyed. So much that his father carelessly and without thinking flew so close to a jet airliner to get photographed…

Full of sorrow Jonathan took his phone again to add: 'Sorry, I didn't want to be mean!'

Timmy put the used dishes into the dishwasher in the meantime and put the leftovers away. Jonathan was too tired to talk anymore. But Timmy had thousands of questions burning on his tongue with the urge to let them all out at once.

"Questions?"

"It's okay!" Timmy wailed, hiding behind the open door of the refrigerator, and discreetly taking a big sip of Vodka from the bottle. Hoping the burning sensation of the Russian potato-drink on his tongue would distract him from his excitement.

"Timmy… come on! I know you! Ask it!"

Timmy put the bottle back and closed the door of the refrigerator to look on his friend. One question had to be asked…

"What was the trunks for?"

"The trunks?"

"The red trunks on his first suit!" Timmy blushed.

Jonathan moaned. "My grandma liked the circus!"

After that Jonathan lift to leave… He had enough…

Timmy led his friend upstairs to the guest room, which was located right between the bathroom and his bedroom. Jonathan put his suitcase into his new room and then went to the bathroom to take a shower and get that awful smell of seawater and fish away before going to bed… Timmy used the chance to go to his room and tremble in shock and excitement.

The first thing, everyone who came into Timmy's room saw, was the big 'life-size-Superman-poster' that embellished the room, and that Timmy always treated like a sanctuary. Nobody was ever allowed to even touch it. But now…

Timmy took the poster, folded it carefully and hid it in his old Superman-backpack, his grandparents kept and where he also hid his old Superman-action-figures.

"Oy oy oy… Mr. Kent, just in case you are listening in, like Jonathan described… there is a lot for you to do to make up for everything…" Timmy murmured while hiding the backpack under his clothes… out of Jonathan's eyes…

After a quick but relaxing shower, Jonathan went straight to bed to avoid answering any more questions…

Instead of just two and a half to three hours, like usual in the past year, Jonathan made it to sleep almost four that night… Feeling better than ever. After that, to not to disturb Timmy, he went downstairs to the living-room, grabbled a German language learning book, he spotted in the shelve and start to learn German like he learned Kryptonese. Just to check if his quick Kryptonese learning the day before was just a coincidence and had nothing to do with being Kryptonian…

He was not sure about it… by the time, Timmy's parents returned from their weekend-trip, he was able to talk fluent German with them…

What eighter Jonathan, nor Timmy knew was that their conversation was heard the whole time…

It began only a minute after Jonathan left the farm… when Jordan scolded his father for everything again. When they continued arguing! And when they suddenly saw the report about the infamous Instagram-post in TV… The whole family was shocked! Especially Clark, who realized how careless he was and didn't mention that the airliner was so close.

Jordan knew how upset his brother will be and stormed upstairs to be alone. Not enduring his parents' presence anymore. Lois stormed into her home-office to start writing a big report about the injustice Jonathan had to endure and to destroy the people who tried to hurt him today. And Clark went to the barn to think about everything, too.

Jonathan was only a couple of minutes out of the house… but it already had negative effects on everyone…

Jordan was so worried how his brother would react… he just listened in to hear his brother vomit. The urge to get to him was so big, je really almost speeded there to hug his brother. But he wouldn't have only busted himself in front of Timmy. He would also have busted his eavesdropping. And Jonathan was mad enough on him. Clark didn't want to eavesdrop on Jon, too. But after hearing him vomit both were not able to turn away their hearing from him…

Jordan was in his room, the whole time. Clark in the barn. Clark could hear Lois crying every time Jon talked about her. She didn't need super-hearing to hear it. Motherly-instincts, Clark guessed…

Of course they were shocked. Of course they felt betrayed that Jon decided to tell the family-secret to Timmy without telling the family or asking for permission. But after hearing Jonathan's story it was forgotten.

Of course it was wrong to listen. And of course Jonathan would never ever talk to them if he figures out. But there was this urge to know what happened and what was bothering him so terribly. Years of bottled up feelings that he was too pride to let out and was too ashamed to confess to them. It has to be the pride of the El's, Clark guessed.

Unbeknownst to each other, Clark and Jordan listened to the whole conversation and finally linked out when Jonathan went under the shower.

Jordan fell in despair. Knowing how right Jon was and how unfair he was towards his brother and how much he had given up just to help him. It was one of those moments he wished to be fully human. Or that Jonathan's powers came the same day, so that they would be able to do all the great things together.

The rest of this restless night… Jordan spent brooding alone in his room… actually happy for Jon to get out of Smallville for at least a couple of days and for developing powers one day…

Clark meanwhile thought about Jonathan's words, too…

He knew he failed. When Martha suggested to move the family to Smallville, she meant well. To give Clark a chance to bond with both his sons. Instead the move drifted him and Jonathan further apart. Because he only bond with Jordan. He knew, his parents would be both totally disappointed in him. And when Lara suggested to create a new fortress, it was the same. But once again Clark failed.

He knew it was wrong to listen to his conversation with Timmy, but it was like the best possible intel he could get about Jonathan's mood.

Clark spent hours walking up and down the barn and the farm, analyzing every of Jonathan's words and realizing that it was true: He let Jonathan think that he will only spend time with him when he has powers.

He thought about Jon-El again. Jon-El was the final warning. And he didn't see. He thought about Jordan and how close they became. Wondering what would had happened if he didn't get powers. Would he had been able to bond with him without powers?

And he had to think about his parents. Jonathan Sr. had no clue about powers, Krypton or anything else regarding his 'unique' son and his alien powers. But he always let him feel cared, loved and safe. Always letting him feel that he belongs here. No matter that he was found in a spaceship that fell from the sky one morning. They didn't bond by power training. They bond with normal father-son-activities. Things Jon expected from the move, but never got…

Normal fathers go fishing with their kids. Or visit games in stadiums. Or play together. Or… Clark wasn't normal…

Clark had to accept that Jonathan's mood and their relationship won't improve, when he suddenly begins to develop powers, or when Clark begins to bring him to the fortress regularly, too. Or when he begins with the driving lessons, Jonathan is waiting too long for. Or when he starts to come up with tickets for football games or camping trips or other things…

There was a lo to do to make up for the past two… no… for the past sixteen years. But Clark was willing to fight for his son. At any cost…

THE END!

I hope you all liked it! I wanted to add some parts and let Jon give his feelings a chance to be told. The next part of this series will definetely be a one-shot.

I added some 'Easter-Eggs' in the final chapter: Jonathan's fear to get switched at birth, is a pun on my story 'Doubt!' I published here on this site shortly before Season 2 began to air. And his nightmare about being thrown into a volcano is based on a meme I once saw on Reddit!

I hope you all enjoyed this and that you will join me on the next part, as well! Thanks a lot to everyone and keep well!
