You're probably wondering to yourself "Didn't I already read this final chapter?" Yes you did, but I took down the original final chapter since it looked horribly written.
For those who read the original final chapter, I wanna apologize for how lazily written it looked, and I wanna make up for it with this long final chapter! Plus I didn't like how it looked either so, again, I apologize for it.
But nonetheless, here's a re-written finale! Enjoy!
As the years would go by, Arnold and Rhonda held true to themselves as they stuck with each other through their highest of highs, and lowest of lows. Whenever one of them needed the other, they were always there for one another.
Now, one says that your high school years are the best years of your life. Well, in Arnold and Rhonda's case here, it may be more or less in the middle…
Freshman year started great for the couple, but it wasn't until the second week that Rhonda would start getting harassed by many of the boys there. Fortunately enough, they try their luck on her since Arnold was having none of it. He'd only let them off with a warning, if they tried their luck once more, Arnold wouldn't hold back.
Of course, many of them laughed at his threats, but they weren't laughing for long. On the same day, one of the jerks tried their luck. While Rhonda was at her locker, one of the jerks crept up on her and touched her around her waist. She didn't tolerate it in the slightest, she had pushed off the jerk and slapped him across the face while leaving a little cut across as well with her nails.
Rhonda soon told Arnold, and he didn't tolerate it one bit. The two soon got into a fight, but with Arnold's past fighting skills, he won. It resulted in the jerk's head getting slammed into a locker, which also resulted in a concussion.
Unfortunately, Arnold got suspended, and since Rhonda found it unfair, she demanded to be suspended with him.
Fortunately for the two, after their suspensions, freshman year went well for them. And after the incident, every boy in the school got the memo to not mess with Arnold, especially with his girlfriend Rhonda.
Now, what can one say about their friends? Well, while they remained close to their old friends from P.S.118, they had their adventures.
Unfortunately for Sid, it was tough for him when it came to finding a girlfriend. Despite the help of Arnold and Rhonda, he still messed it up for himself. Eventually in Sophomore year, he developed a crush on this one girl, she was a rather one, but the type for Sid. Her name was Leslie, she had also had an eye on Sid for some time now. The two started hanging out with each other, while Sid sought some advice from Arnold, and Leslie got some tips from Rhonda, Sid and Leslie got together soon enough.
Most of their friends were single throughout Freshman year, and during Sophomore year, things started to change for some of them. Eventually, Gerald and Nadine finally got together after years of spending time with one another.
While for Harold, things weren't exactly easy for him. Most girls found him unattractive, even while he played football as an offensive lineman, and it was rather difficult for him. Now, as for Stinky… it was rather easy for him despite his name sounding funny. And surprisingly enough, he reunited with a girl he had met during his childhood years. Her name was Gloria. The same blonde and pink-wearing girl from their childhood.
As for Helga Pataki, well… things weren't exactly smooth for her. Rather rough instead. While she remained the same tomboy she was, she suffered through minor depression ever since she had been told off by Arnold and especially when he admitted he never even liked her. During their Sophomore year, she eventually moved away mainly because her parents had decided it was time for a new and fresh start for their family. Miriam had finally let go of her alcohol addiction, and Big Bob had reformed into a more generous man. The Pataki's had moved away in hopes of a fresh new start for their family and in hopes that their daughter would also forget her past life. While she may have been robbed of childhood love, when her parents changed, they promised their daughter that they will give her all the love and respect she deserved since childhood. And words that stuck with Helga for the rest of her life "It's not too late… we can fix this. Together." really made her break down in her parents' arms.
While she may have moved away from her friends, she had high hopes to finally get her life back together and prayed one day she would come back to Hillwood and revisit her friends.
Back over in Hillwood, nobody knew where Helga had gone until Phoebe told them. All they could do was wish her the best of luck.
What can one say for Eugene? Well, things were rather rough for him. He still had his 'curse' in high school which made it extremely difficult for him to ever even be able to talk to girls. Most of them found him unattractive… all except one. Sheena.
Sheena has always had a crush on Eugene but was afraid of what Eugene would say or how he even felt about her. And fortunately for Sheena, Eugene liked her back. Sheena couldn't believe it as she couldn't contain her excitement when Eugene decided to ask her out.
Now, how did Arnold and Gerald do sports-wise? Always underdogs. The two had impressed the basketball coach and team, the two were the best guards on the team. They were also named Varsity starters which surprised the two.
Of course, Rhonda and Nadine always went out to support their boyfriends. But the two couldn't help but make bets between each other about who would score more points, or who would get more assists. The bets were fifty-fifty between the two. Arnold would make Rhonda win half the bets, and Gerald would make Nadine win half the bets as well.
One thing Rhonda found cuter than Nadine, was the post-game kisses she'd receive from Arnold. Whether win or loss, Arnold always went up to her to give Rhonda a quick kiss. She couldn't help but always kiss his nose every time after their kiss.
Eventually, Senior year came around and it was time to say goodbye to high school. For Arnold and Rhonda, it was some of the best years of their life for sure. The school held the annual prom even for Seniors, most of the gang all had their dates, except for Harold as he didn't care anymore.
Arnold had decided to do something special for Rhonda for prom night. Not only did he get her a bouquet of her favorite flowers, roses, but he also got her a special diamond necklace that had both their first names engraved on it. Rhonda was extremely surprised and grateful for what Arnold did for her, Arnold also admired how beautiful her sparkly crimson red dress was. Rhonda couldn't help but think how charming and adorable Arnold looked in his tuxedo.
The two had the time of their lives as they had enjoyed their prom night together. After prom, the two had decided to go to Arnold's boarding house and look at the stars from the roof. The both of them thought it was such a beautiful night it, made it all the more romantic for them. The two shared a passionate kiss under the stars before Arnold walked Rhonda home.
Around two-three years went by, and Arnold and Rhonda had decided to get their first place together and live with each other. They had also brought their pet parrots as they loved having their parrots by them. The two decided to sleep in the same bedroom as it seemed like a logical choice for the two anyhow. One thing the two always loved doing before going to sleep, was having cuddle sessions with each other before heading to sleep.
One particular night, Arnold had decided to ask out Rhonda on a date, she was hesitant at first since they had a date night just a few days ago. But she couldn't help it as she could never turn down a date with Arnold.
Rhonda put a hand on Arnold's cheek. "Oh sweetie, I could never turn down a date from you. Tell you what, after our date, we got a little walk in the park, like old times. Whaddaya say?"
"I'm more than happy to." Arnold smiled. Rhonda smiled as she kissed him. "Perfect! I'll see you in a bit…" Rhonda slowly kissed Arnold. "Handsome." Arnold blushed as he had a goofy smile.
About thirty minutes later
Arnold was downstairs watching tv as he had nothing better to do at the moment, he had Harper, Aero, and Moses alongside him.
"Yeesh, I know she takes a long time but I didn't think she'd take that long." Arnold snickered a little.
"Oh, Arnold." Rhonda said in a flirty tone. Arnold looked over as he looked rather mesmerized. "Well honey, whaddya think? Like it? Oh, but what am I saying, how wouldn't you?" Rhonda soon came downstairs as Arnold came up to her and wrapped his arms around her waist.
"Beautiful as always, darling." Arnold slowly kissed her forehead. Rhonda then giggled. "Well, don't you have to get dressed for our date?"
Arnold only chuckled as he kissed her forehead once more before he went to get changed.
Fifteen Minutes Later
Arnold came downstairs in his tuxedo, he kept his hair the same way since Rhonda loved how it looked.
Rhonda wrapped her arms around Arnold's neck as she admired his outfit. "Arnold, you always find a way to impress me."
Arnold only chuckled as the two started to kiss.
Later, the two were at Chez Paris for their date. "Y'know Arnold, I love the fact that this place has become our favorite restaurant to have our dates at." Rhonda started as the two entered with their arms linked. "One of the best places I'd say." Arnold replied.
One Hour and Thirty Minutes Later
Arnold and Rhonda soon exited the restaurant after another great dinner. "Arnold, now I'm glad you asked me out for a date tonight. I was really craving some seafood today." She then kissed his cheek. "I'm glad to hear that. So, how about our little walk now?" Arnold slightly smirked. "Lead the way, sweetie."
The two decided that they'd come back for Arnold's pick-up truck after their walk.
As they walked along in the park, they shared laughs and cracked jokes, even talking about their past dating anniversaries. The two then were standing on a bridge that overlooked the river under them, as they looked up into the stars, for Rhonda, she felt like there was nothing better than this. But Arnold would make her night complete.
"Say uh, Rhonda, you have a minute?" Arnold soon asked. "Oh Arnold, you should already know I have all the time in the world for you! What's up, sweetie?"
"Rhonda, the past few years with you have been extremely special. I truly appreciate and cherish every moment we have together. And I truly love every day I always spend with you knowing we'll always love each other. And one thing that I can never thank you enough for is for buying me pet parrots, and I can never find words to thank you. But Rhonda, there's one last thing I wanna ask from you…"
"And what's that?" Rhonda asked."Please let it be a ring! Please let it be an engagement ring!" Rhonda thought excitedly.
Arnold got on one knee as he pulled out a little box that contained an engagement ring. "Rhonda Wellington Lloyd, will you make me the happiest man alive, and marry me?"
Rhonda had a hand on her face as she couldn't believe her eyes. "OH. MY. GAWD. . . . ARNOLD, WAS THIS ENTIRE DATE NIGHT… A SETUP FOR THIS?" Arnold happily nodded. Rhonda felt a tear in her eye as she embraced Arnold. "Arnold, you just made my night complete. So yes Arnold, I will marry you!"
Arnold happily smiled as the two then kissed under the bright stars that shined in the nighttime sky. After their kiss, Arnold slipped the engagement ring on Rhonda's finger. She smiled as she started kissing Arnold once more.
About an hour later, the two were back in their home, they had fed and bathed their parrots as they were soon getting ready for bed.
Rhonda was already in bed, she was waiting for Arnold for some cuddles along with an important question she had.
Arnold soon came in as he hopped in bed with her. "Ready for some cuddles, sweetheart?" Arnold had a slight smirk as he playfully had a finger on her cheek, making Rhonda giggle. "That can wait, sweetie." Arnold then had a raised eyebrow. "Arnold, I wanted to ask something."
"Well, ask away." Arnold smiled. "Arnold, how do we tell our parents we're engaged now? Do we have them meet us here? Or what do you think we should do?"
Arnold thought for a moment. He knew the perfect plan. "How does this sound, we have our parents meet us here, I'll come and greet them and have them in the living room. I'll soon call you down there, and we can go from there."
Rhonda shined a bright smile as she tugged on Arnold's shirt and gave him a big kiss. "Arnold, you always have the greatest ideas! Even as kids you always had a brilliant mind." Arnold then smirked. "Well, I got another idea in mind. How about some cuddles, sweetie?"
Rhonda only giggled as the two soon started to kiss and snuggle up with each other.
The Next Day
Rhonda had recently awakened as she found Arnold was already awake. "Early bird." She snickered.
Arnold came into the bedroom and sat next to her. "Good morning, precious." Arnold then kissed her cheek. "You're up early. What gives?"
"Oh Rhonda, don't tell me you forgot about last night!"
"No, how would I!" Rhonda admired her ring. "When are our parents coming?"
"About an hour or so. I left them itching with curiosity about the surprise we had for them." Rhonda smirked. "Oh, Arnold." She put a hand on his cheek. "That is so you." Rhonda then proceeded to give Arnold a slow kiss.
Harper then flew into their room squawking, making Rhonda flinch. "AH! Oh my goodness…"
Arnold tried not to laugh but he couldn't help it. "Oh very funny huh? I'll scare you see how much you like that." Arnold only smirked as he kissed her nose, making her blush yet smile at him.
An Hour Later
Arnold had greeted both his parents and future in-laws as guided them to the living room.
"Any idea what this could be?" Brooke whispered to Stella. "No idea. "Those two better have not gotten pregnant."
"Arnold, now that you have us here, could you please tell us what you and my daughter called us here for?" Buckley soon asked. "Glad you asked Mr. Lloyd." Arnold then whistled for Rhonda. Instead, he accidentally whistled Moses over onto his shoulder. "Whoops." Arnold then had a nervous smile.
Shortly after, Rhonda came downstairs as she soon stood next to Arnold after a quick kiss.
"Rhonda sweetie, care to show our parents what's on your finger?" Arnold asked. Rhonda happily nodded. She stuck her hand out as she showed off her engagement ring.
"OH. MY. GAWD." Stella and Brooke both said. "You know what this means for us now?" Stella smirked at Brooke. She smirked back. "I think you should know by now sis."
"Congratulations you two! We can't tell you how excited we are for the two of you! And Arnold, I'm proud of you." Buckley smiled at them. Arnold smiled back.
"Son, I'm extremely proud of you." Miles hugged his son. "Thanks, Dad." Arnold hugged him back.
"So Arnold, Rhonda, have you two decided when you two wanna have the wedding?" Brooke soon asked. Rhonda froze for a second, but Arnold knew what to say. "How about some time before Christmas?"
"Well, that's around seven months from now… We can make it work!" Stella said as she high-fived Brooke.
Arnold and Rhonda smiled at each other knowing that they'll be married before the best time of the year.
As the months went by, the two notified their close friends and invited them to their wedding. Their friends were really surprised but they knew it eventually had to happen since they loved each other so much.
Countless nights, the two couldn't help but think about how their wedding was going to play out. All they knew was, it would be a special moment of their lives.
Soon enough, after all the waiting, it was finally time to unite this couple. The wedding.
After most of the wedding process had now gone by, Arnold and Rhonda had their rings on each others' fingers, it was finally time for the magic words.
"Arnold Philip Shortman, do you take, Rhonda Wellington Lloyd to be your lawfully wedded wife?" The Priest asked. Arnold had a shining smile. "I do." As he stared dreamily into Rhonda's shining eyes. She could only smile.
"Rhonda Wellington Lloyd, do you take, Arnold Philip Shortman to be your lawfully wedded husband?" The Priest asked Rhonda. "I do." With a shining smile that could light up a room.
"Without further ado, by the power vested within me, I now pronounce you, husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."
Without hesitation, Arnold wrapped his arms around her waist as Rhonda wrapped her arms around Arnold's neck as the two shared a passionate kiss. Their friends and family erupted in cheers and they clapped for the newly wedded couple.
That night, the two were filled with joy as they were finally married after a long seven months of waiting. After their cuddles, they kissed each other good night, only they called each other different nicknames now…
"Good night Rhonda my wife." Arnold kissed her.
"Good night Arnold, my charming husband." Rhonda kissed him back.
The next morning, Rhonda awoke as she put on her furry slippers and stepped outside on their balcony to admire the view outside. Soon after, Arnold ensnared her from behind as he kissed her.
"Morning my precious." Rhonda then giggled. "Morning bun-bun. First day of officially being married… I have to admit, this feels extremely special." Rhonda admired her ring. Arnold kissed her cheek. "And you know what that means, a brand new journey for the both of us… Together."
Rhonda turned around to face him as she put her arms around him. "I'll always be with you, Arnold."
"And I'll be beside you through everything, Rhonda."
The two stared lovingly at each other before they shared a long passionate kiss.
After a few long seconds, Arnold soon spoke. "Hey Rhonda, have I ever told you how much I love and adore you? And how beautiful you are?"
Rhonda then giggled. "Well, maybe a lot… but tell me more, sweetheart."
They kissed again as they knew they had a bright future to look forward to.
