Chapter 6
'What strength… where… how did they get so powerful?'
It was the same question he asked again, over and over. His eyes refused to open, his body ached like it had never been in battle before, and he couldn't bring himself to recover. Sukuna knew he could heal himself instantly, and yet, at the moment, his jujutsu refused to work.
He began to hear voices at a distant, then, they grew stronger, louder until finally, he was able to open his eyes.
Peering about, he was bounded to a simple chair, yet… why were there no talismans around him? Wouldn't it be a wise course of action to seal him in a room to prevent himself from breaking free?
Why haven't they killed him yet? No one would dare try and bind him like this without having a proper plan in place!
He tried to rip the ropes off his wrists, yet cringed, the binding was cutting into his flesh the more he struggled. "What talisman is this?" he muttered.
"Nothing special, just our hair,"
He froze, peering up, he looked into the faces of the two brats. Their long hair gone as they bore their usual plain look. "YOU BASTARDS! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!" he roared in anger.
They merely smiled before turning back to each other. "So, is that fair?" Suiryu asked.
"I think it's fair,"
"Good,"
The two shook on an agreement before that Itadori boy smiled at him with a big, friendly grin. "I get to play with you first!" he said.
Sukuna was confused. "Play? What the hell do you mean play? What are you getting at brat!" he demanded.
"I don't think he's aware yet…" Suiryu muttered.
"Nope, doesn't look like it."
'What the hell is going on? They don't fear me the least bit! They do realize their power comes from ME don't they?' he thought. What shocked him next was that his former vessel came from behind him and severed the rope. His arms were now free as he smiled wickedly.
In a quick motion, he made his mantra for his domain expansion. This time, neither one of them tried to jinx him on the notion. Yet, the moment he tried to summon it, nothing happened.
In fact, he didn't feel his curse energy course through him and out to make said domain. "What… where is the talisman that is blocking my jujutsu!?" he demanded.
"Yeah… about that… there is no talisman." Suiryu said as his smile grew. "Well, I suppose you could say… WE'RE the talisman!"
"What…"
"We sealed away most of your jujutsu" Yuuji chimed in. "Also, Suiryu restarted your heart, so… you're rendered as… well… I guess since he hasn't really been one, is human the proper term?"
"Meh, close enough,"
"Right, so you have been rendered as human as you can be right now. You still look creepy but it's the best we could do without overstepping our bounds."
He froze.
Sukuna couldn't bring himself to move, let alone understand what they were saying. "You… you can't do that… I'M the KING OF CURSES!" he protested.
"You were, but not right now." Suiryu replied. "Besides, I wouldn't be too concerned about that at the moment. I would be more worried about what we are going to do. We're not going to kill you, at least, not just yet anyways."
"What? Then what ARE you going to do with me? I will slaughter everyone here the moment you look away, even if you leave for just a few seconds I'll slaughter all who dwell in this land! I will devour every scrap of their flesh and bone so nothing remains of them…"
"Oh really?" Yuuji asked, but then turned to Suiryu. "We nip that right away."
"Big time"
"You are making no sense!"
"Okay then, try and attack me." Suiryu said in a challenging tone.
Sukuna smirked as he slowly stood up from the chair, he smiled wickedly to the challenge. "Oh… I cannot wait to strike that smirk off your face! You're an ingrate! You came FROM ME!"
"I did… in my last lifetime… but not this time… also… what I did take from you, what made me a part of you and in a sense, and me… me at the time. I simply returned it."
He didn't care for the riddles anymore. He charged at Suiryu his fists balled up and ready to strike until Suiryu simply said. "Sit"
He was suddenly stopped and sat on the ground!
Sukuna froze to his own actions, unable to believe he just blindly obeyed a simple command like that!
"What!"
"Heel" came out of Yuuji.
He fell face first into the floor, his forehead on the ground, prostrating before them! "Good boy!" snickered Suiryu.
"You're… treating me like a dog!" he demanded.
Suiryu leaned down snickering the whole way before he came to his ear. "We asked mom if we could keep you and she said yes… we've always wanted a pet. But we are working our way up towards a puppy… I WANT a puppy."
He felt a chill go down his spine. When he was able to move on his own again, Sukuna felt something around his neck. His dominate left hand reached up… and felt a collar. Worst still his fingers and claws couldn't find an edge to the collar!
"So I get him tonight, you get him tomorrow night. We alternate but at the same time, training. We got to get him trained up" Yuuji said.
"And I think I know just the person to help us too!" Suiryu said with great excitement.
"This can't be happening, this cannot be happening to me… JUST KILL ME ALREADY!" he demanded.
They paused for a moment. "If we do that, them mom will never let us have a pet again!" Yuuji protested. "We have to show we are responsible. We maybe babies to her still, but we can handle a pet."
'Babies? What are they talking about…' he thought.
"Now, I think we need to start a strict regiment for him…" Suiryu stated.
Sukuna turned them out as they spoke; he peered down once more and even saw a tag on the collar with his name printed on it. They were going to keep him as a pet! He shook his head to it all, refusing to believe this was real. How could it be?
That boy was nothing more than a pawn to him, a disposable container until he gained his true form and body. He has made him suffer relentlessly, reminding him of all those who died because Itadori couldn't keep him under control.
This sniveling child… has more power than him?
And that abomination, the one created by the dragon Ryujin after he was defeated during the trial of body and soul. How did a part of him, turn out like that? Why did he resist becoming him? Did he not understand the power he would have gained?
"Sukuna!"
He snapped out of his trance, he sneered at the two but didn't answer them. "He's going to be a little shy for a while, it's to be expected." Suiryu said.
"I know, it's best we get him walking around and knowing the surroundings… oh wait, he does, this place was his," Itadori snickered.
"I'm going to kill you all…" Sukuna vowed.
"You've said that before, so I look forward to see you try" Suiryu said with a proud grin. "Now get going… I want to show everyone our new pet!"
