Chapter 11

Not even a day passed for Yua having Sukuna pledge himself to her. Still, the notion of it all gave her the creeps. She shuttered every time he peered over at her, that devious smirk that followed really made her uneasy with the whole situation. "Why the hell did I let Suiryu talk me into this…" she thought to herself. It was a stress she didn't need, since after all, she's pregnant for the first time and from what she remembered from her mother, for a Tooru, having children is far from easy.

"I don't quite know how to explain it, I thought it was just a family trait however that trait somehow transfers to the spouses of anyone who marries in the family" her mother explained.

She didn't get it either. Yet, Yua knew this could be a difficult birth for her.

As the day passed, she found it strange that every so often, Sukuna would appear out of nowhere. She didn't see him coming and kept jumping every time he did such a thing. "Need anything… mAsTEr?" he would asked in a sarcastic tone.

"QUIT SCARING ME LIKE THAT YOU ASSHOLE!" she scolded him.

But that smirk on his face only grew. "Oh come now, I have to be of use to you, don't I?" he asked in a snide tone. "I'll be sure to check up on you every so often…"

"HEEL!"

Yua jumped as he face planted into the ground in a very submissive pose. "You brat! What the hell was that for!" Sukuna shouted from the ground.

Suiryu had just appeared once more, he went over and glared down at Sukuna, not before deciding to step on his head and balance himself on top of it. "Yua, I am terribly sorry for his lack of manners and consideration for you… he should NOT be scaring you like this nor in your condition…"

STOMP!

She jumped again as Suiryu smashed Sukuna's head deeper into the earth. "As such, I am going to be sure he is properly trained… Right…" he growled the last part as he peered down at the King of Curses under his feet.

Sukuna couldn't respond, his mouth was full of dirt.

He then stepped off to the side before he turned back to Yua. "Again, I apologize for his lack of manners. Yuuji and I will be sure to fix that…" he paused as Sukuna pulled himself out of the ditch, their eyes locked on each other.

"You insignificant speck! You dare treat me like this? YOU CAME FROM ME YOU KNOCK OFF BRAT!"

Suiryu didn't flinch the least bit, instead, he leaned down and smirked. "I did… before. But now… I don't. You see, that little insignificant speck as you called it… is no longer part of me either… I gave that back to you. I have my own soul and I am no longer an extension of you… I am more along the lines of being more like Yuuji than you. So, shut the fuck up." he said and bore a rather smartass grin. "Go to your room."

He wanted to resist that order, so badly, Yua could see it in his eyes. Yet, Sukuna was forcefully turned around and began to go back to his residence. Yua sighed with relief as she was finally at ease. "I'll make sure he is of use to you, Yua, he has to make up for everything he's done."

She could only nod her head to him. "Thanks Suiryu…"

"You go get some rest, you look tried… if you need anything…" Suiryu said.

She nodded and took his advice. Perhaps some rest is needed.

Taking Suiryu's advice. Yua went back to her and Satoru's residence. From there she took to the bed and tried to rest her eyes. She hasn't really dreamed since her return to the land of the living. And yet, this one… this one confused her greatly.

The moment Yua shut her eyes. She began to see people. They were all strangers to her and yet, the more she peered at them, the more she felt as if she knew them. "Oh it's her! Look, the last living Tooru!"

They began to gather around her with great excitement, and it only grew when one pointed out that she was expecting.

"This is remarkable! She's expecting!"

"There is still time to revive the clan!"

"Not only that, but she is…"

"THAT'S ENOUGH!" A voice boomed. Even Yua was startled by the tone, but it silenced everyone in this odd place.

There was a rather short and slightly stout woman who made her way through. No doubt that's where the voice came from as many appeared to lower their heads respectfully to her, yet, Yua could swear she felt her energy. It was remarkable!

"I'm sorry, but… who are you? Who are you people?" she asked gently.

The woman smiled to her. "Your ancestors." She explained. "Child, we have waited for this day. I'm so sorry you are alone in this…" she gently took hold of her hands and held them tightly. "But fret not! We are going to keep a close eye on you, Toorus always watch out for family." She vowed.

"Oh… thank you?" she asked nervously. "But, I've never dreamed of you before… why are you here?" she asked.

"Because, we can finally help you. Before we were limited, since you contained Ryujin and were dying. But now, since you are healthy and alive, we can help you," The woman said and smiled. "We have a favor to ask of you, child. And this is a lot considering what has happened, what you have gone through. But please, will you listen to my request?" she asked gently.

Yua nodded. "Of course I will," she said with great sincerity.

The woman's smile grew yet the words spoken took Yua aback. "Take care of Ryomen," she said.

She paused oddly. "Ryomen? The only Ryomen I know is…"

Yua froze as everyone nodded their head to her. The meant for her to take care of Ryomen Sukuna!

"You mean…" Yua asked as she made a motion of cutting his head off. Yet judging by the startled looks on the family's face, that wasn't it.

"No, no… we mean… watch out over him. I can understand your confusion child, but I can assure you, this will pay off in the end."

Pay off?

"Do we owe a debt to him or something? I mean, why do you want me to take care of Sukuna? Right now, he has pledged his services to me… not to mention trapped as a pet to two young sorcerers I know…"

"We are more than aware of the Itadori twins, and that's fine, but we need you to help him with something more. Something not even he is fully aware of yet."

"May I explain, mother?"

There came a parting in the masses of people once more. Yua paused as a young man confronted her, he smiled oddly enough, and that was a familiar grin, as if she has seen it before. "You are…"

His head lowered to her. "Greetings, Yua Tooru. I'm an ancestor of yours as well. The woman who you speak with is my mother… hi mom…" he said and smiled to her. "It's been a long time…"

His mother wept and nodded. "How come you haven't seen her in ages? I mean, everyone here has passed right?"

He nodded to her. "Yes, but I've been reincarnating myself for the past thousand years. I have unfinished business with Ryomen Sukuna." He explained.

This took her aback. "You do? And you've been…"

"That's right, it's been hard to find him. Only until he had obtained his vessel was he more easily found… but also that worked out to my benefit too…" there came an odd smirk on his face. She didn't quite know what to make of it. "But, as my mother has asked of you and so shall I… will you take care of Ryomen for us?"

"I need clarification on this. You do know that asshole deserves to die more than a million deaths right?"

The family fell silent. "We know he has done terrible things, child. But understand this, that's not who he is." The woman explained. "We cannot express or explain much farther than this, but if you want proof …" the woman leaned over and suddenly whispered into Yua's ear.

She could remember every word, and yet to speak of it, she couldn't. "I also gave you my technique, I can assure you it will make things a little more clearer, as well… it will greatly help you with what has yet to come…"

Yua suddenly woke.

She snapped out of bed, and wondered what the hell just happened, what kind of dream did she just have?!
