A/N: Another chapter! As for your question, Spectacular Webhead 11, I'd say probably not. Moreso because he's not important enough to this story enough where he'd need to be back. That doesn't mean he's never coming back though. ;)

Turtles' Lair

Mikey, Leo and Raph all walked into the main area of the lair. Donnie was in his room, awake before the others.

"Guess Don's the early bird this time." Leo said, noticing that the genius brother was nowhere to be found. Once the others ate breakfast, Leo was the first one to check on Donnie.

He knocked on the wall.

"Come on in Leo." Donnie said.

"Just wanted to make sure you were alright." He said.

"Yeah I'm fine." He said, continuing to look at his computer screen, but wasn't doing any typing.

"So…. what exactly are you working on?" Leo asked, curious.

"I've been thinking about what you said last night. About Karai. It was bugging me all night." Donnie said.

Leo looked at him with concern. Was he not getting sleep again, like what happened when Splinter got trapped in the digital world by Viral?

"Don't worry, I got some sleep. I just got up earlier than you guys to get started on this." Donnie said, seeing the look of concern on his brother's face. He knew exactly why Leo was concerned for him.

"As for what 'this' is it's a link to the surveillance device I planted outside the tower. Or squirrel to be specific." He explained as the percentage was increasing.

"Why squirrels this time? Instead of… well, turtles?" Leo asked.

"Because, the one animal people wouldn't expect to be any trouble during the day outside, are squirrels. And birds." Donnie said.

Flashback to 9:00 AM

"I went a good bit of distance outside the Foot Tower to plant it." Donnie explained. "Even though we're friends with Karai, I still don't think the Foot would take us putting some device down in one of their headquarters so lightly without questions. And for this to work, I didn't want anyone from the Foot to know about this. Not even Karai."

He sets down a squirrel. It begins moving towards the Foot Tower as instructed by Donnie.

Several minutes passed before the squirrel approached the entrance of the Foot Tower. It went unacknowledged by any of the ninjas standing guard. It wasn't unusual for animals like squirrels to occasionally wander around the entrance of the tower.

"Now I'm just waiting for it to scan the entirety of the Tower so I can retrieve the floor plans." Donnie said. The progress bar said 87%.

"When I really thought about it, what you said about Karai last night made sense. You weren't looking into it too much at all. It may just be sheer coincidence that Karai doesn't act like her normal self as you said, and her communications were interrupted during that same time period. But I need to be absolutely certain." Donnie said.

Once the bar hit 100%, he received a complete schematic of the floor plans for the Foot Tower. The surveillance cameras within its eyes were also fully calibrated. He got the plans and could see what the squirrel saw.

"Uh, what's it doing?" Leo asked, wondering why the screen was shaking a little.

"What any typical squirrel would do! Eat acorns!" Donnie said.

"But, if it's a robot, how exactly is it able to eat it?" Leo asked.

"Whatever it consumes, it temporarily stores in the same storage area its stomach would be. Once the storage is full, it… well, I'm sure you can figure out the rest." Donnie said.

Leo was able to figure out where Donnie was going, and he didn't want to talk about it anymore. He wasn't sure how his brother was able to come up with these things, but he couldn't deny they got the job done. And it was better than anything he could ever come up with. "Right. So, now that you have the plans, what exactly are you going to do with them?"

"I'm glad you asked. Right now, the current quality of the plans would be good enough if we were trying to infiltrate the Tower. Like when we tried to enter the TCRI building. But that's not what we're doing. So now, I'm going to need to go deeper. As in, inside. Once there, I should be able to produce plans with a quality high enough for me to work with. Once I get those, I can check for anything abnormal in the Foot Tower. " Donnie said.

"And just how are you going to be able to get inside? It's one thing to be outside, they won't really take a second look. But inside? What if they get suspicious? I don't want to have trust issues with Karai all over again when we stole the Heart of Tengu. Even if the reason for taking it was for the right cause." Leo said. As much as he hated doing something like that, looking back, being one of the reasons why the Tengu Shredder was unleashed, he'd do it all over again if it meant saving his brother Donatello.

"Just watch me." Donnie said. He controlled the Squirrel, which then seemed to be invisible.

"Invisibility. Clever." Leo said.

"Not invisibility. Camouflage." Donnie corrected him. "An energy efficient way to disguise itself without being discovered." He said as he navigated the squirrel around.

"I'm guessing you also figured out a way to silence any noise it makes." Leo said.

"And you would be right." Donnie said. He was all in on trying to navigate the squirrel so he wasn't really in the mood to explain how he was able to do this.

He also had the squirrel scan several items within the tower as it went through, avoiding anyone that was passing by.

He was at 35%. The squirrel kept moving. It found nothing unusual so far. 50%.

"Did you find anything?" Leo asked.

"Nothing so far." Donnie said, continuing to control the squirrel. As he did, Dr. Chapman passed by. Donnie never bothered to give him another look but one of the squirrel's eyes detected something.

"Looks like I found something." Donnie said. He turned the squirrel to face what it found. And it was Chapman.

"It's Dr. Chapman." Donnie said. He zoomed in to get an X-ray of him.

"There's nothing unusual with his vitals. They all look fine." Donnie said.

"Maybe you made a mistake?" Leo asked.

"Possibly. But I won't know for sure until I finish my scan." Donnie said. 60%. He continued moving. He wasn't a person that couldn't admit he made a mistake, but he had a feeling that something was there. And he was going to find out what.

"What is the progress of the exosuit?" He overheard Karai ask Chapman. Donnie decided to take a risk and eavesdrop on their conversation.

"It's going slower than we hoped." Chapman responded before adjusting his glasses, a clipboard in his right hand.

"Explain." Karai asked. While she was unhappy, she was willing to give Chapman a chance to explain himself.

"Things aren't going too well. The regenerative process. Its defenses. None of it is working as it should. It's just too much power. When we put emphasis on one function, the others don't function correctly, if at all. We don't have a good enough foundation. A better power source would be a place to start." Chapman said.

"A bigger power source." Stockman said before rubbing his chin, thinking.

"Perhaps an old ally Electro could be of some use to us." Otto offered.

"No." Stockman said before looking at Otto, coming to a realization. "What we're hoping to create, nothing and no one from Earth would do."

Otto raised an eyebrow in curiosity. The only expression he showed on his normally non-expressive face during their plan.

"Send a signal to contact Professor Honeycutt. We'll need his help." Karai said after Stockman gave her the orders.

"Will do Mistress." Chapman said. With Karai taking over leadership of the Foot after Shredder's defeat, they allied themselves with the Utroms. They and Professor Honeycutt were able to contact each other at any point in time should one need anything from the other.

"What could Karai want with Professor Honeycutt?" Donatello wondered out loud.

"I'm wondering the same thing. And an exosuit? This doesn't seem like something Karai would use for herself." Leo said. "I'm going to the Foot Tower to ask Karai about this. I hope you've gotten what you need from there, because you're good to need to bring it back now." He said.

"I do. But why?" Donnie asked.

"Because, I'm already questioning her. If she thinks another one of us is eavesdropping, she'll lose trust." Leo reasoned, trying to avoid any conflict between them and the Foot.

Donnie nods. "I understand."

Leo gives a friendly tap on his shoulder twice. "Thanks." He goes to grab his swords before heading out the sewer.

Throne Room, Foot Tower

Karai was seen standing, looking out of a window.

A voice was heard behind her. "Mistress Karai. One of the turtles are here to see you." A Foot ninja said.

"Allow him in." Karai said, not turning around.

Leonardo enters the room, with Foot Elite guards beside him. He nods to them as he enters. They bow to Karai before leaving, along with the Foot Ninja.

"Karai." Leonardo said.

"Good morning Leonardo. I would assume you are here to follow up on your previous questions as to who infiltrated the Tower. It was another mole. I can assure you that he has been dealt with." Karai said, still not turning to face him.

"Good morning. But that's not all I'm here for." Leo started. He wanted to question her in a way that didn't give away that they were spying on them.

"These Shadaloo assassins. Do you think there's a chance that one or more of them could infiltrate the ranks of the Foot?" Leo asked.

"Although that is a possibility I will keep in mind with the increased security, the ranks of the Foot is ironclad. And loyalty is a large reason as to why. Though my father has done many things I disagree with, what he has done to keep the organization strong and loyal to him is something I cannot question. Nor will I stray too far from under my rule. Although, as seen before, this loyalty can be to a fault." Karai said.

For Leonardo, that was enough of an answer for him.

"Karai." Leo started. "You're not alone. It's not just you and the Foot anymore. April, my brothers and I, Splinter. Casey too. We're all here to help. The same way you helped us find a new home. You can trust us. The same way we trusted you." Leo said. He figured this would be the best way to get her to be transparent with them about anything they didn't know about before. He didn't want to question her about trusting them directly or if there was anything she wasn't telling them about. He wasn't here to start conflict or create distrust. He understood that the Foot Clan wouldn't tell them everything, due to how secretive they were even with allies like the Purple Dragons. But he still felt that there may be a bit of distrust between Karai and the turtles on Karai's part due to the turtles helping the Utroms imprison her father against her wishes. And when they infiltrated the Tower to steal the Heart of Tengu.

After a few seconds, Karai turned and faced Leo.

"Leonardo, I appreciate the words of care. As an ally, and, as a friend, I welcome the help. Thank you." Karai said, in a seemingly genuine manner and extends her hand.

Leonardo walks over and takes it, shaking on it to seal their unspoken agreement. Karai already knew what he meant when he told her this. He had hoped for her to open up to them more. And with this handshake, they agreed on it.

Leo agreed to keep providing updates to Karai about the Shadaloo situation before leaving.

Stockman growled. "If he finds out what's going on, we'll be outed. He'll ruin everything!"

"Even so, it's best that we keep him alive for now. He may be of use to us." Otto said. "With my suggestion, you may be able to thank at least one of them after all for their part in the destruction of the Foot and our enemies. Personally." He added.

Andrew's NYC Diner

Guile, Chun-Li and Cammy were all at a table. Guile had coffee, steak, eggs, and French Toast. Cammy had pancakes, house-baked muffins and eggs with coffee. Chun-Li had the lightest meal out of all of them, electing to have 2 fried eggs, an English muffin, and a fruit cup with orange juice. Ironically, Guile chose the heaviest meal but was the one that was the slowest when it came to eating. He was more concerned with when they were going to take down Bison than sitting around having a casual breakfast. Chun-Li had told them about what she learned during her visit to the Foot Tower.

"So the Foot Clan are willing to help us in our fight against Shadaloo? I say that's good news." Cammy said. She was wearing a blue tracksuit, choosing this in order to stay comfortable, but ready in the case of a sudden fight. Underneath was usual Delta Red attire.

"I would agree. But this is an organization linked with criminal activity before. Anyone that involves themselves with a man like Bison is not to be completely trusted, no matter what you see on the news." Guile said. Although he wasn't completely familiar with the organization, he has seen them in the newspapers a few times. Mainly articles about what Oroku Saki, who he along with much of the masses, other than his enemies, the turtles, didn't know was secretly an Utrom, had done for the community, and when Karai took over after the "passing" of her father.

"If it's between the three of us, I wasn't a hundred percent sold on her either. But, from what I've heard, and from seeing Mistress Karai in person, I believe she's genuine when she said she wants to take the organization in a different direction to what her father had done." Chun-Li said.

"And what about the others? Have you seen them?" Guile asked, referring to the allies that Karai spoke of.

"No. But if they're as serious as Karai is about bringing Shadaloo down, I look forward to meeting them in person." Chun-Li said.

Midtown High

"You cannot be serious." Peter said, holding the Daily Bugle newspaper in his hand. They were waiting for the bell to sound before class began, so they had free time to do whatever they wish. "I didn't…" He started before he had to correct himself. "Believe for a second that Spider-Man would have let that guy get away."

"It's rare that I agree with you Parker. I mean what else was he supposed to do? The guy had a gun and a hostage." Flash said, also reading a newspaper.

"Unless you're Superman, I don't think there's much anybody can do in that situation." One of the other students said. He had pale skin, black shaggy hair and was wearing a green hoodie.

"Still crazy that Eddie went from university to working in Atomic Burger." Glory said.

"I just hope he can get his life back together." Randy said.

"Yeah, you're not the only one." Peter said in a lower voice.

The bell rings.

"Alright class. I'm hearing lots of chatter about Spider-Man. Which is great! I love discussion and conversation. I just hope your conversation will be just as healthy in our discussion of The Crucible, a play which we'll be starting today." Some of the students wanted to groan but they withheld them, instead giving different reactions, such as putting their hands on under their chin, or others sighing and/or shaking their head.

"It's a play by Arthur Miller, published in 1953. Can anyone tell me what the plot of the play is?" Their teacher asked. His name was Nathan Collins. Of course, his students always called him Mr. Collins. He was a dark-skinned man with short black hair. He had on a white dress shirt with a New York Jets woven checkered tie. It was well-known throughout the entire school that he had several different ties, with it being a rarity that he would be seen with the same tie twice. He was also known to be a prominent New York Jets fan. With his team finally having a winning record this season, he decided to show his team spirit and wear the tie.

Peter raided his hand. "Yes Parker?"

"It's a play about the Salem Witch Trials right?" Peter answered.

"That is correct!" Mr. Collins said.

"The Salem Witch Trials began during the spring of 1692 and ended in the summer of 1693." Mr. Collins started to explain.

"They began when three girls, started to have fits. They claimed to be possessed by the devil, blaming three women for affecting them. These three women were brought to court. Sarah Tituba, the Parris' Carribean slave, Sarah Good, a homeless beggar and Sarah Osborne, an elderly impoverished woman. All but Tituba claimed innocence. Tituba claimed that the Devil came to her and bid her to serve him, describing several elaborate images, also claiming that there were several other witches looking to destroy the Puritans. So they were all sentenced to jail time." Mr. Collins said. He then goes to get books and begins to pass them out.

"Then, paranoia began to spread like a wildfire." He added as he continued to pass out books. "Anyone could be suspected to be a witch, even children." He sets books down on Sakura's desks, Peter's and Gwen's before moving on to Harry's and then going to grab more books to pass out to the rest.

"Some were placed in jail or worse. Death by stoning, death in jail, or by hanging. And the evidence used for some of these claims being dreams and visions. You would think that in any other case, this isn't tangible evidence right? During this time, it was. And it wasn't until Governor Phipps prohibited further arrests did the Witch Trials ever truly end. All who were imprisoned were pardoned by May 1693. But this was a moment in history that wasn't going to go away anytime soon. Not just for decades, but for centuries, as we discuss and read about it today." Mr. Collins said. By the time he finished, he passed out books to everyone and returned to the front of the class.

"Of course, in the case of this play by Arthur Miller, he published it to highlight an issue during the time it was published. Does anyone know what that issue was?" Mr. Collins said.

After several seconds no one had an answer.

"Well, the play was written as an allegory for the Red Scare or McCarthyism, named after Senator Joe McCarthy of Wisconson." Mr. Collins said as he went on his computer to show them a picture of the senator in question on the projector behind him.

"For some of you that watch football, perhaps this is the first person you've seen with the last name McCarthy other than Mike McCarthy." Mr. Collins said, referring to the current coach of the Dallas Cowboys, or previously the coach of the Green Bay Packers.

"He's not wrong." Kenny whispered to Randy.

"He told the public that they should fear Communist influence in the country, believing they should alert for them lurking in positions that everyday people hold. Artists, journalists, even my own position as teacher." Mr. Collins said.

Mr. Collins discussing infiltration made him think of what was going on back at the Foot Clan. If these assassins were as skilled as Rose described, who's to say that one of them wasn't already inside?

12:30 PM

Turtles' Lair

Donatello was speaking to the Fugitoid.

"Greetings Donatello! It's great to talk to you again my friend. My apologies for not answering before, I was busy helping Karai and the Foot with a little project of theirs." The Fugitoid said.

"Professor Honeycutt! I feel the same way. What project in particular were you helping them out with? Maybe I could pitch in a few suggestions." Donnie said. He hated lying to a friend like the Fugitoid. Especially since he had nothing to do with what was going on other than the Foot asking for his help. But he had to feign ignorance if he was going to get the information he, his brothers, and potentially Spider-Man could use.

"Oh! I appreciate the kind gesture, but I think I've steered them in the right direction. They've taken the wheel now. But as for what they were working on in particular, it was security tech. Can never be too secure!" The Fugitoid said.

"I see. Professor, while you were there, was anything off about Karai, Chaplin or the others?" Donnie asked.

"Hmm." The Fugitoid said, tapping his right index finger on the lower part of his head to think. He did this three times before shrugging and saying, "I am afraid not. Everyone seemed to be as they always were. Why do you ask? Is something the matter?"

Donnie shakes his head before saying, "Doesn't seem like it. One more thing, Professor. I'm sending the data of this vital scan over to you. Could you take a look at them and make sure there isn't anything abnormal about them?" He sends over the vital scan to the Professor.

After about 10 minutes, the Professor returns to talk to him again. "I have checked these vital scans as you asked. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong. Everything looks to be in tip-top shape!" He said enthusiastically before asking, "Are you sure there isn't anything wrong?"

"Everything's fine now. Guess I was just overanalyzing things. Thank you Professor. See you!" Donnie said.

"No problem, my friend. Another time!" Honeycutt said enthusiastically. Donnie could tell that he was smiling. Even though his face didn't show it. But when the transmission ended, there was more concern than reassurance on his face.

3:00 PM

"You're joking." Peter said, having a similar look that Donnie had on his face. Except his was out of concern. He was anticipating a bunch of other people to show up out of nowhere like he was on a prank reality show.

"Does it look like I'm laughing?" Flash said. "Look, I'd rather be doing anything else other than this right now. But Sha Shan wants to see my game tomorrow night. And she thought it'd be cool if you guys got seats too. Since I couldn't find them, you're the second best thing. Make sure all of them get their tickets. Harry, Gwen, MJ, and your girlfriend Sakura. Got it?" The Flash said, handing them the tickets.

"Got it. I-"

"Good. This is Sha Shan's first time watching me play. I want to make sure her first time is an awesome one. She might see more whenever she's free. So I'm gonna do my thing on the field." Flash said, flexing, then points a finger at him. "You make sure you do yours off it. If you mess this up, you might as well call in sick for the rest of the school year." Flash said before walking away.

"Message received." Peter said before realizing what Flash said. "And Sakura's not my girlfriend!" He called out to him.

"Whatever man! Just don't mess this up!" Flash said.

3:15 PM

"Why?" Eddie asked on the phone.

"You've done a great job here, Eddie. You've worked. Been on time. Never had any incidents. If it was up to me, you'd still be working. But it isn't. The higher-ups say this restaurant isn't bringing in enough money to warrant keeping it open. To tell you the truth, they wanted to shut this place down for a while but didn't. This robbery has given them the excuse to do so now, citing 'endangerment of patrons'. Your final paycheck will be determined and will be sent to you on the normal payday. I wish there was more I could do to help you. I'm sorry." The man on the other end said. It was his manager, Jason Adams.

"Don't be. It's not your fault." Eddie said.

"It was a pleasure working with you. I'll send a letter of recommendation to your email for whenever you get your next job." Adams said.

"Thanks." Was all Eddie could say.

"No problem. Have a good one." Adams said.

"You too."

After Eddie hangs up, he resists the urge to throw his phone across the room.

"It may not be his fault. But I do know who's fault this is." Eddie said before leaving his apartment.

A/N: Stockman has had no meeting with Honeycutt/the Fugitoid and didn't know who he was until the fake Karai revealed to him who he was through the real Karai's memories. It wasn't clearly mentioned in the story and I wanted to avoid any confusion about that.
