Hey guys,
Sorry this chapter would be shorter than usual. I was planning to make it linger, but I'm getting tired, and I want to sleep, but not before uploading a chapter.
Enjoy!
…
The following morning, Jaune woke up and got to work.
Although he created the prototype and was working wonderfully, it was not the best he can do. He believes that he can make it better.
The Octavius Arms are great and all, but he wanted it to be something that can take on different forms.
Thinking for a long while, Jaune thought about going to the library and reading up on more books. This time he didn't have to use the Holy Pills of Qu Xing since he retains all the knowledge he gains while using it. His understanding of the subject he studied a few days ago has been enhanced as well.
After hours of research and Jaune only came up with the idea of using nano-machines. But the problem is that there isn't any book that talks about it on Earth, at least this version of Earth.
"Guess I'll have to make do with what I have right now," said Jaune. He sighed. Making nano-machine would be more difficult than the Octavius Arms, but it would be worth it for the protection of Saphron and Terra. "Months of hard work is nothing if it means making something to protect them".
…
Earlier, when Ruby woke up, she tried to get some cookies, but it was hidden on the top shelf which she was incapable of reaching ever with the ladder in the house.
Tai was true to his words. Ruby wasn't getting any cookies for a week.
Ruby was dejected but was cheered up by Saphron and Terra when they saw her mopping around the living room.
It was surprisingly simple to make Ruby happy. All they told her was that she could watch Jaune with them. She seemed to have become a fan when she learned that the arms were not a special effect.
Saphron, Terra, and Ruby watched Jaune's adventures. Hearing him talk about nano-machines has gotten their intrigue. More so, Ruby.
"Do you think he can make the nano-machines?" asked Saphron to Terra. "I mean, not even Atlas has the technology. Sure they have a way to shift a weapon to a more compact form, but nano-machines are on a different level".
"Hmm…I've read that they were experimenting on it years ago, but they had to stop because they were centuries away from such technology," said Terra. She read it in her scroll years ago from the Latest News of Atlas Tech. "It said that they have no viable power source to make it a plausible technology. Plus, they have no way of controlling millions of nano-machines all at once. Hence, they had to scrap the idea indefinitely".
"That's understandable," said Saphron. Controlling millions, if not, billions of tiny machines are no easy feat. Especially when you need it to work together. "I wonder if Jaune will be able to create something like that".
"Only time will tell, but I have faith that he would accomplish it," said Terra. She has seen Jaune do crazy things, nano-machine would be just one of his achievements to come.
…
Jaune was feeling restless.
Hence, he decided to enter his training room, courtesy of OTG, to train his AoE. His usage of it is amazing, but the speed of his conjuration is slow. Especially when he wants to create complex magic or constructs.
"No time like the present," said Jaune. "Too bad I can't create something that would permanently modify my body. Otherwise, I have so many great ideas to help me train. But I can still create something to help me train to increase my Mental Capacity".
It was one of the weaknesses of the AoE, and he knew it before he asked for it. Just getting something handed completely would make him lazy. Thus, he wanted something that he would train for.
…
Ruby was amazed. She saw Jaune flash, and then suddenly he was in another location used for training. Then, she saw Jaune make things out of thin air.
"That… That…That was so cool! His semblance is almost like magic!" said Ruby. She knows that it is nothing more than a show, but it would be cool to have that kind of semblance. "Oh! When I unlock my semblance, I hope it is something that cool! Imagine all the weapons that I can make with it!".
Saphron and Terra chuckled at Ruby. They know the truth that Jaune is using magic.
"What do you think would happen if she were to find out that Jaune is using magic?" asked Terra. "I bet she would geek out more than she already is".
"Oh, that is for sure," said Saphron. She nodded at Terra. "Even I still can't believe that Jaune knows a God".
"True," said Terra. They were introduced to Jaune's magic when he was using it destructively. "It still makes me shiver how powerful his magic is. But I think the most powerful thing Jaune has in his possession is Greed".
"That's for sure," said Saphron. She agreed to it. Greed was an insane weapon. "You know, if Jaune uses that weapon in this world, I don't think he even needs anything but its scythe form since I think it would negate Aura".
In another room, Yang woke up. She wanted to get some breakfast, she headed to the kitchen.
As Yang headed to the kitchen, she passed the living room. There, she saw Ruby with Saphron and Terra. That wasn't what interested her.
No! It was the damnable show that made her look crazy!
"I knew it!" said Yang. This caused the trio to look at her. "I knew I wasn't hallucinating!".
Saphron and Terra then covered her mouth. They still have no idea why she and Ruby could see Jaune on the Tv.
"Shh! Don't scream," said Saphron. "The others are still sleeping. We don't want to wake them up now, do we?".
Yang nodded. For someone that has never trained, Saphron was naturally strong.
"Can you at least tell me what you're watching?" asked Yang. She was curious. "Also, why couldn't I change the channel?".
"The thing is, we don't know why you can see it in the first place," said Saphron. She sighed. The only way to find out is by asking OTG, but they don't know how to contact him. "Only Terra and I were supposed to see what the Tv shows when we use this remote".
Saphron showed a futuristic-looking remote.
"We were so surprised when you sisters were able to see what we can," said Terra. "If you realise, your dad couldn't see what you wanted to show him".
"Oh! I see," said Yang. She believes it is some sort of new tech that isn't allowed to be known yet. "Alright, I'll keep silent. Still, what are you guys watching. The other day, that guy was studying, and now he is training. You know, he does look hot, and also looks kind of like you".
Yang pointed at Saphron.
"That's because he is my brother and boyfriend, and Terra's boyfriend," said Saphron. She didn't care if Yang found it weird or not.
"Oh! Maybe when I get to meet him in the future I would call him Lover Boy," said Yang. She heard the others talking last night. Please, as if she was going to bed when told.
"What do you mean by that?" asked Saphron. "Our family do not have the luxury of coming to Patch quite often".
"True, I heard you live outside the four kingdoms," said Yang. She nodded her head. "However, I overheard your parents and mine about them, the Arcs, finding a place to live here in Patch".
"That's news to me!" said Saphron. She was not liking what she heard. "This is going to suck! That would mean I would be separated from Terra!".
"And I would be separated from you and Jaune," said Terra. She didn't want to.
Two people. Their bonds with Jaune and each other were so powerful that their sadness about being separated caused the Grimm in Patch to become active.
