Chapter 13

The heroes had gathered faster than I had expected. I had to lead them to the exact place. Part of me wanted them caught… while another part of me wanted him to run. The heroes, the police, me. We all sat here laying in wait to ambush them. Aizawa said it would be foolish to assume that he didn't know we were coming. A sneak attack would not work on him. All for one was too smart for that they'd said. Aizawa held up the mic to his mouth pressing the button.

"We have you surrounded All for One. Come out now."

I wasn't actually expecting him to traipse out as he did. His hands sitting in his pockets. Nonchalant and not a care in the world.

"Yami, I see you've brought the riff-raff with you."

As if on cue, spinner, Tomura, and Dabi came out after him. Dabi's eyes were on the floor, but my eyes were on him the entire time.

"Surrender All for One!" Aizawa said.

He chuckled. "Give me the girl and I promise not to kill any of your people."

"We will not be handing Yami over to you," Aizawa said.

"Why not? After all, how could you keep a daughter from her father?!" All for one yelled.

What? Had I heard him right just now? I could feel everyone's eyes on me. Everything felt like it was moving in slow motion. I looked over at Dabi, his eyes were on me now. He was just as shocked as everyone else was. I took a step forward, Aizawa grabbed my hand, but I pulled away.

"You're lying," I said in disbelief.

"You look just like your mother." He'd said. "Is your old hag of a grandmother still alive? I know that Hitozatohanareta underwent some drastic changes after what I had done." He said with a smile.

My chest started heaving. "What did you do?!"

No one else had moved or said a word. It's as if we were all waiting for him to speak.

"You see your mother was naive and too kind, just as you are. She let me in, and it took nothing short of a month to make her fall for me. No matter how much her mother was against her being with me, she did not care. She was pregnant in no time. I was overjoyed when she had been able to carry you to term. The others never could. They always died along with the fetus, but you! My golden child. Came out successful and you are right in every way. My only regret was not coming to get you sooner. You ended up growing up under that old woman's influence and for that, I am sorry. However, I knew I was right in sending Dabi to that pitiful little village. Your curiosity and sense of adventure are some of the things you got from me, among other things. But falling for questionable men, that you got from your mother. The outside world was cut off to you and your village because of me, but I am here to take you home now. Come with me and be where you belong. Or I will take you by force." He said holding his hand out to me.

"You killed her…"

"Yes. In a sense. I knew she would die. It was a necessary evil." he said with a smile.

"A necessary evil," I repeated. "You used her for some experiment!"

"Please Yami, you were born out of love. Your mother's love for you and my love for creating the perfect offspring. You came out wonderful. I even name you. My only wish was that I was able to make more of you with her." He said, in this condescending tone.

I took another step forward.

"Yami don't do it! IT'S A TRAP!" Aizawa called after me, but I ignored him.

My blood was boiling. I erected the bright red wings from my back ignoring the pain/ I had copied it once more when I had held Hawk's hand. The sound of my blood dripping from the feathers. I focused on it instead of the pain. I healed my back, feeling my skiing grow around the openings. I flexed the wings.

"I spent my life alone because of you. Closed off from any and everything. Just so you could run some stupid little experiment." I bit out.

He removed his hands from his pockets. "Come now Yami, listen to daddy." he chuckled.

I touched my hand to the empty police car, floating. I threw it straight at All for One, giving him no chance to react. I flew straight toward them, as Dabi and Tomura jumped out of the way. I grabbed Tomura by the face. No matter how much his quirk made my skin crawl, I was going to use whatever I could to get my hands on All for One. I needed t make him pay. I then threw Tomura to the side, looking back at him and the discarded police car behind him. I didn't have to see his smug face to know he was smiling.

"You are my child indeed." He mused. "Come, and make me proud."

I touched my hand to the ground.

"YOU MONSTER!"

That's when it happened. This raw rush of power came from the palm of my hand. I had never felt something like this before. The roads, buildings, and cars were destroyed, tearing through them all. It was headed all headed straight for him; All for one. This unbridled rage I was feeling. It was dark… it was evil, and I didn't like it, I was afraid I couldn't stop it. That's when he did it. Holding an unconscious Dabi by the throat, in front of him. I took my hand from the ground, my heart almost stopping. The debris crashed into the ground.

"You see. You are still weak. Love. The one thing that plagues. The one thing you could not escape. It was your mother's downfall, and it will be yours as well. Do not worry. I will not let you do that to yourself."

Calm down, be smart Yami.

"I am going to kill him now. So, that you will have nothing holding you back." He'd said.

He tried to squeeze his throat, but he couldn't. He couldn't move at all. I was running on fumes at this point, but I couldn't give up yet.

"HA, so you did inherit one useful thing from your mother I see!"

With a flick of my wrist, the arm he held Dabi with, was snapped clean in half. Dropping Dabi to the ground, there was no cry of pain from him. He laughed.

"YES! SHOW THEM YAMI! SHOW THEM JUST HOW MUCH YOU ARE LIKE ME!"

I felt like I was about to pass out, but I couldn't. Not yet, just a little more. His other arm went next, then both of his legs, until he was face down flat on the ground. I was surging with power. It felt amazing. The helicopter's spotlight on me. Before I could finish what I had started the ground began to shake, knocking me off my feet. A giant rock-like monster came bursting through the building.

"COME GIGANTOMACHI!" All for one yelled.

He knocked me back, and Aizawa caught me. The monster grabbed All for one, Dabi, and Tomura, and raced off. The strange Black creatures came out of the woodwork. Standing between us and All for one. I tried to stand, but I collapsed back into Aizawa's arms. My vision was starting to get blurry. I could hear Aizawa yelling, but it sounded so far away.

Then, it all went black.
