AN: Welcome back yall, no real action this chapter just wrapping up the prolouge arc, if it could even be called that at this point. Ain't really got much to say at the start here maybe I will at the end.

Take that back I have two things to say. One I am still looking for a beta reader, someone that I can bounce ideas off of an help keep me on track with this monster.

Secondly I need some help trying to figure out a name for Naruto and Naruko's Dōjutsu, I mean I cant just call it The Sense, or Golden eye for the rest of the dam story can I? So post a review with some ideas and we can go from there.

Spark681: Read on and you will learn what happened. Nuff said.

Everyone had gathered on the deck to see the infamous island for themselves, as well as to watch for the whirlpools that protected it. It was just like Deisui said, a wall of whirlpools for nearly five miles. If he wasn't hanging from the ropes Naruto doubted he could see them all with how low the schooner sat to the water. Him and Itachi were both in the ropes that led down to the deck.

"WHIRLPOOL TWO O'CLOCK!" he heard Itachi yell Naruto tightened his grip on the riggings as he felt the ship turn.

"DAMN POOLS HAVE SHIFTED SINCE I WAS HERE LAST!" Deisui yelled as straightened up on the wheel. Carefully watching as the whirlpool passed him by on the right. "KEEP EM COMIN LADS!"

"WHIRLPOOL ONE O'CLOCK!" Itachi yelled again.

"WHIRLPOOL AT ELEVEN AND NINE!" Naruto yelled back as he watched the whirlpools. They were as big as a small pond, easily fifty yards across and multiple yards deep. Each one had enough force to drag the small ship down and with it everyone of the people on it.

"GONNA HAVE TO THREAD THE LINE HERE!" Naruto and Itachi watched as the ship went between two of the massive whirlpools the air around them shifted as the water was sucked into the depths.

For hours they called out whirlpool after whirlpool, each one getting them a little closer to the shore and to solid land. It made Naruto wonder how any military force was able to even make landfall, much less enough to lay siege to the island.

"HOMESTRETCH LADS BEFORE WE HIT OPEN SEA TO UZU!" Deisui yelled making the people aboard cheer. He looked out at the last set of whirlpools before they hit the calm, these were not natural like the rest of the whirlpools they were made using Uzumaki sealing.

'Ashina warned me about these back when I married into the island…' Deisui thought watching the whirlpools slowly pick up speed as they neared. "NARUTO, ITACHI, KARIN, TAYUYA, TOSS EM BEFORE THEY COME CLOSE!"

The four didn't need to be told twice. Itachi used his charka to hold himself in place before reaching into his pouch an pulling out a can with a fuse sticking out the top. Holding it up to his mouth he clicked his teeth and using the flint an steel in his mouth lit the fuse. He watched as the whirlpool that was closing in on them fizzled out for a brief few seconds.

Naruto held his up to the lit lantern hanging beside him before tossing the makeshift bomb into the water. 'Remind me to thank Karin for these, without the shells I have no idea how to make the bombs.'

Last night Deisui pulled all of them into one of the cabins, well he pulled himself Itachi and Karin in to one of them. They were less then a few hours from the shores of Uzu no Kuni and Deisui said they wouldn't attempt the crossing till morning. Now he understood why he needed Karin in the meeting.

(The Night Before)

"Karin, ya said yer were good with improvising correct?" Deisui said in a surprisingly sober voice while looking down at the map on the table between them. He had just marked a rough outline of the natural whirlpools that surrounded the island.

"I have some experience, why?" she asked.

"We need something that goes boom, it ain't gotta be as big as yer tags, but unlike the tags we need it to last underwater long enough to explode." the three of them knew there was more to the reason he was asking.

"What ain't you telling us Uncle…" Itachi asked looking at Deisui. "Tags work underwater, an even when wet. Otherwise we wouldn't use them, so what are you not telling us?"

Deisui raised his head an looked at his nephew "There was a last line of defense, no not defense, last weapon designed to be used in the case of the fall of Uzushiro, to ensure that the Uzumaki and their secrets never left the island. It was a series of seals that ensured mutual destruction."

"So what was so dangerous about these seals?" Naruto asked. It reminded him somewhat of the weapon that the Isu had back at Oni Lake, if it wasn't for Karin they would have both been caught in the blast.

"On the surface there is nothing different about the last set of whirlpools, but unlike the rest they are artificially made and pinned in place by techniques unknown to me. But everyone on the island knew that if activated it would actively track whatever vessel came near it before dragging it down into the depths." all of them grimaced at the thought, "An the cheery on top of that shit is that the seals have the added function of being charka suppressors, so anything that enters the water near em is guaranteed to be killed."

Karin thought for a minute, she had ideas of course, none of useful with what they had on board. Most of the ideas she had were pulled from the Isu archives and required chemicals and tools that were either not available or doesn't exist at their current level of tech. 'What we need is an explosive that can be used underwater, but without impact fuses or…'

She darted over to the shelves built into the cabin and started searching for something. "You good lass?" Deisui asked as she started tossing item after item off of the shelf. She held up a sealed can of hard tac.

"How many cans of this stuff do we have?" she asked. "I need as many of these as I can get an all of the wax candles and paper we can get."

"Karin are you making an improvised grenade?" Naruto asked as he started thinking about the bombs that the assassins used.

"Something like that…" she replied as the gears in her head turned.

(Flashback End)

Naruto watched as a spray of water lifted itself into the air from the explosion. Each time they threw one that gave them a few seconds to get further through the field of whirlpools before it was able to reform. 'I hope we have enough of these things…' each of the four people throwing only had six and that was with Karin using the bare minimum needed materials.

"Well kit if you don't have enough you can learn to breath underwater, heard fishes learned to do that a while ago." Naruto couldn't even bring himself to laugh at the dry humor the Kyūbi had.

He turned an watched as another geyser shot up from behind the ship as Tayuya tossed her first bomb, hearing something remotely close to 'Fuck you' when she did.

Karin watched as the whirlpool started to reform, she had been counting down from the second the explosion went off to the time it reformed. "SEVENTEEN SECONDS!" she yelled before lighting another an throwing it. 'From what I was able to figure out we move at between nine and ten knots, so running the numbers in my head… its going to be very close…'

"THROW EM OVER NOW LASS!" Deisui yelled to Tayuya. Karin had one pitched one last plan the night before, it was possibly one of the most simple ways to trick something with no eyes. Use something else that floats.

"ROGER!" Tayuya yelled back picking up one of the many wooden buckets and throwing it over the rail behind them.

Karin watched with baited breath as the whirlpool started to creep towards the rear of the ship before slowly changing direction towards the now floating bucket. 'IT WORKED!' she excitedly thought. 'I really managed to pull one over on my ancestors! HELL YEAH!'

"I'll be damned the little lass's idea worked…" Deisui mumbled before hearing another bomb go off. He could see calm water just beyond the bow of the ship. He didn't know the range of the whirlpools but he knew that it couldn't be that far.

"LAST ONE!" Itachi yelled before throwing his finial bomb. The ship was a third of the way into open sea. He hoped that the last bomb was enough to grant them a hundred feet.

"I'M OUT AS WELL! ONE MORE COMING IN AT SEVEN" Naruto yelled trying to find something he could throw into the water to confuse the second one that had just reformed. They were half way to freedom now.

"ON MY WAY!" Karin yelled before grabbing one of the buckets and dashing to the side of the ship. Throwing it with all her might she watched as the one Naruto just blew up started to reform.

Only the rear of the ship was in the danger zone now as Deisui banked hard right to put some space between the ship and the reforming whirlpool. "HOLD FAST!"

Tossing the last of the buckets over board Tayuya watched as the two trialing whirlpools converged on it. She watched as the bucket went around an around before finally dropping out of sight below the water.

Beside her Karin watched as ship passed the invisible line of safety in which the only whirlpools were now behind them. "WE'RE CLEAR DEISUI!"

"FULL SAIL BRING EM TO BARE!" he yelled out as most of the temporary crew started to frantically pull the ropes raising the second sail. Everyone felt the ship start to jerk as the sail caught wind and the distance between them an the sentient whirlpools greatened.

After a few seconds of baited breath Karin watched as the whirlpools broke off from the pursuit and stopped moving. "We did it…" she couldn't believe it "WE DID IT!" at this point everyone on the ship broke into cheer, even the Uchihas on board broke out into a smile.

Picking up a bottle Deisui bit the cork and pulled it out before savoring the taste of the sake. "NARUTO GET YER ASS DOWN HERE AN TAKE US IN! I GOTTA GET GOOD AN DRUNK BEFORE WE LAND!"

Climbing down the rope ladder Naruto jumped on the deck, everyone on board was cheering at their survival, thankful that this trip wasn't just a one way ticket to the drink. Climbing the stairs to the helm he locked eyes with Karin. "If it wasn't for you we wouldn't have made it…" he walked up an hugged her "Thank you for being here with me."

Unseen to him his actions an words made Karin blush and her mind unable to form words. He stepped back and looked away before pulling up his hood to hide his own blush. "Don't get too drunk old man I'll still need help when we enter the river." Naruto said trying to keep his mind off of the hug.

"I've been sober for near a day now let en old man drink his fill, besides you know how to call out for sails by now don't ya?" Deisui asked taking another swig of sake. "Just come get me when ya finally near the old port."

"Damn drunk old man…" Naruto said under his breath before taking the wheel.

"I heard that brat…"

Naruto felt the wind in his face as he steered the ship towards the shores of Uzu no Kuni. He glanced beside him as Karin walked up and leaned on the rails overlooking the deck. "Well capt, what do I get as as reward for figuring out a way through." she asked Naruto with a sly smirk on her face.

"I'll think of something. Might not be today, or even tomorrow but I'll think of something." he said trying to still keep her from seeing the blush on his face. 'I don't even know what I could give you that would equal to everything I owe you Karin…'

"Stupid kits an their mating rituals…"

'OI Shut up ya furball!' Naruto mentally yelled at the Kyūbi his response was nothing but a deep laugh.

The Creed Reborn

A small brown toad hopped from rock to rock outside of the Namikaze house. It was no bigger then a small rubber ball as it neared the front door. Landing on a rock it watched as a red haired green aproned woman closed the door and locked it before humming and walking away.

Silently the toad watched the woman walk away before jumping off the rock towards the house. Landing beside the wall it placed its feet on the side of the house and like a tree frog it slowly climbed the side of the house. Nearing the window it peered in for a second before climbing up the side to the second floor. Once more it peered into the window this time instead of moving on it let out a small croak.

A poof of smoke replaced the toad an in its spot was a white haired man dressed in a long red coat with wooden sandals. He once more looked into the window before pulling out a thin sheet of metal and inserting it between the two window panes.

Hearing a soft click after jimmying the metal sheet around he lifted the window and with a quick glance around slipped inside of the house. The room he had landed in was light blue in color and covered in a ever so thin layer of dust.

'If I didn't know any better I would say this was just a guest room.' the man thought to himself looking around. 'I thought my brokers were kidding when they said he was missing…' walking over to the door he felt around it to make sure there were no traps before opening it and poking his head into the hall way.

Across the hall was a sign that said 'Naruko' on it. He gently closed the door making sure to not stir up any of the dust and walked over to the door before feeling around for any other traps. Unlike the last door this one had one such trap, something so small that if he wasn't looking for traps he wouldn't have even found it. A single piece of paper wedged at the bottom of the door.

'An what might you be hiding…' he thought picking up the paper and opening the door. Once inside he looked around the room, unlike the other room this one was well lived in and even showed the type of person who lived in it. One that was paranoid in her own home.

The room had been set up in just the way to allow a quick escape, the desk had been moved in the past few weeks to just beside the window, there was a shinobi pouch under the pillow on the bed, and upon closer inspection there was a seal on the back of the bed frame that was clearly designed to turn the room into an inferno burning everything inside.

'Somethings off…' looking around in more detail he saw ants on the desk trying to eat whatever was left on it, following the ants he saw they entered under a board of the window. The board had been moved it was ever so slightly raised when compared to the rest of the boards surrounding the window.

Taking his fingers he slowly pulled out on it showing an empty space behind it. Once more he found a seal, but unlike the other behind the bed this one was a simple storage seal. 'What do we have here?' swiping his hand across the seal he watched as one book notebook and three sealing scrolls came out.

Placing the sealing scrolls on the desk he opened the note book to the first page and read its contents, each entry had little bits of info spread about into it, not enough to give him a full picture, but enough to make his blood boil. The last excerpt was three days ago, the day before he heard about Naruko was comatose.

'September 26th, Day 19, Book of Sanity

I did it, I finished the seal I was working on. If everything goes according to plan then for twenty odd hours a day I will have no memory of everything that has happened, and the few hours I do have memory I will use to keep a log like I had been doing.

Something else I need to look into as well. For the past two days I have been seeing double, no that's not right, I've been seeing multiples, maybe, its odd because if I can see someone I can tell what they are going to do before they do it, but if I don't see them then I can't.

It started off an on the day after I had that dream about my brother...an his death, I cant be certain he is dead, but that dream was just too real. Back to what I was talking about I started noticing the day after that dream, and each time I brushed it off as an odd occurrence. But now its happening nearly every hour, even at home here I can tell what my mom is going to do nearly four or five seconds before she does it.

An the headache an eye pain is starting to get worse from it, I would tell mom, but she's so unstable right now I can't trust her with anything. As for Minato…

Let me make sure I put these away before this seal takes effect, I can feel it charging now. I cant let anyone find these.'

He closed the book, and pocketed it before doing the same with the scrolls. Taking a calming breath he put the board back and walked out of the room. There was nothing else he could find here, unless he was able to get into Minato's home office.

He might have taught the man sealing, but now he was outclassed in nearly every way when it came to the shinobi arts, but one, espionage. For he was Jiraiya, the last of the loyal Sannin, the only sage of the Toad clans.

The Creed Reborn

Naruto and Karin looked around them at all of the wreckage left from the siege of Uzushrio. Tattered flags flew from some of them denoting them as Kiri, Kumo and Iwa, the three main nations that laid waste to the once proud clan.

"How many you think were on them…" Karin mumbled as she looked at the hundreds of ships that littered the beaches.

"I don't even want to think about how many it was." Naruto said looking away from the wreckage. He could almost hear the screams of the dead the longer he looked at the ships.

"I was told that it took the combined fleets of both Kiri and Iwa to even make landfall, and by the end of the seige only the supply ships that stayed out of the main invasion returned." Itachi said as a seagull took off from the wreckage. "If my memory is correct Kiri use to have about four hundred ships in its fleet and Iwa had just over half that."

"So we're talking nearly six hundred ships of people, just to take out a single island." Karin said turning a little green at the staggering number of lives it took to scatter the Uzumaki clan.

"Aye, lass a little over twenty-two thousand were sent, to wipe out a clan of less then thousand. Most of those sent weren't even shinobi either they were just samurai an sailors. Uzu last time I was here had just over fifteen hundred active shinobi with around eight hundred of those being Uzumaki." Deisui said looking at a skeleton that was pinned to the hull of beached ship. Itachi had woken him up a few minutes ago from a drunken dream. "An of those twenty-two thousand less then two thousand returned, all of them supply ships."

"So not a single ship made it out once they landed?" Naruto asked as he turned the wheel into the deep river that separated the north and south of Uzu.

"I wouldn't be surprised if the ships ya see here were the only ones to make it ashore. Knowing the Uzumakis the rest were sent to the bottom before they even came close to shore." Deisui said. "Wish I was here with em, would have been one helluva party."

"So you could what die with them, sorry I'd chose escape so I could plot my revenge one day." Naruto said as he watched a light fog roll in. "Hey old man whats up with the fog its middle of day."

"Got me lad, its the first I've seen it in the hundreds of times I traversed the river." Deisui replied watching the fog start to cover the front of the ship. "Something doesn't feel right…"

"You feel it too uncle?" Itachi asked as he looked around every fiber of his being telling him something was wrong here.

"Aye, feels like eyes are upon us." Deisui took a deep breath before yelling "ALL NON ESSENTIAL PEOPLE GET BELOW DECK!"

"Oi I ain't listening to an old fucker, I'm standing right the fuck here and there ain't a god damn thing you can do to make me move!" an ever so colorful voice rang out below them as Tayuya stomped her way up the stairs.

"An if yer going stand right there, then why ya walkin up here?" Deisui asked her not taking his eyes off of their surroundings.

"I would feel a lot better if you were below Tayuya." Itachi said before his combat sense kicked in "Now!"

"An I said I ain't fu…" That was as far as she got before Itachi moved faster then she could see. In the blink of an eye for her he was beside her holding an arrow that would have struck her in the neck.

Tossing the arrow aside Itachi held his hand up to his mouth and motioned for her to be quiet. She nodded her head still trying to comprehend the fact that she had come within seconds of dying.

Cocking the hammer on her rifle Karin used the railing for cover as she peered into the white fog. A glint caught her eye but before she could turn an shoot another arrow struck the rail just below the open section she was using for cover.

Lifting the lid off of a barrel Deisui used it like a shield as he motioned for Tayuya to get into cover. Two arrows striking the heavy wooden lid as she ran.

Finally taking cover himself beside the wheel he pulled one of the arrows out of the makeshift shield. It was a fairly high quality arrow, heavy river bamboo was used for the shaft and the feathers were either chicken or grouse, but the arrow head was what drew his attention. 'Its steel, but there a notch in it...its filled stingray paste an wolfsbane.' his eyes widened in realization.

"Old man you okay?" Naruto asked as he watched Deisui stare down at the arrow. He was under the impression that the only people to survive the siege were sent on escape rafts like Karin's mother was, so unless they were getting shot at from ghosts there was still people living on this island.

A small chuckle escaped Deisui's lips before it turned into full blown laughter. "I'm a fool… a fuckin drunk old dam fool." He stood up and faced the fog "UZUMAKI ON BOARD! TWO OF THEM!" he yelled before standing up, but no arrows came.

Naruto, Karin, Itachi an Tayuya were speechless at the actions of the old fisher, on one hand he had more guts then the rest of them, but on the other hand he gave out information on two of the members of the crew before they even knew who it was that was shooting at them.

Standing up Naruto slowly returned to the wheel, the fog still hadn't lifted as he tried to guild the ship through the floating wreckage. Peering through the fog he saw a light flashing. "Hey Deisui, you see that ahead?"

Turning to look towards the front of the ship Deisui saw what Naruto was pointing towards. "Aye, that's near the old docks. I'd guess they want us to dock there…"

"Who is they?" Itachi asked never taking his eyes off the fog. His uncle seemed to know more then he did about the situation then did.

Holding up the arrow in his hand Deisui looked down at it "I don't know why I'm surprised, but there were survivors. The arrow here is an Uzu hunting arrow, wolfsbane is common enough as a poison, but what gave er away was the black paste here." he put his finger in the paste and held it up. "Its a black sting ray paste, native only to the islands of Uzu no Kuni."

"So people are alive here, an you think they are friends because of an arrow?" Karin asked who like Itachi never took her eyes off the fog as she held the rifle at the ready. "Kinda a long shot there old man…"

"Aye, but it worked." Deisui replied looking towards the front of the ship. "Besides yer bout to get yer answer, look at the dock."

All of them looked at the dock, there were close to a hundred people standing there. Each armed with a bow and saber. "Guessing either some of the sailors from the war survived, or they scavenged the wrecks for all those weapons…" Naruto said finally laying eyes on the group of people at the dock "Pull em in! Prepare to dock lines at the ready!" he yelled to the crew below, who thankfully was unharmed.

Watching as the ship pulled up beside the old dock, some of the people sat down their bows before catching the lines that were thrown to them. They watched as the ship was slowly pulled against the dock by the people.

Deisui walked over to the rail and looked down at the people below him. Most were in their early twenties but there was a few who were maybe thirty, meaning all of the people below him were second generation survivors. Even to him he could tell none of them were even remotely trained as a shinobi.

"Who's in charge?" one of the people on the dock yelled up at the ship. He wore a simple woolen gray shirt and black pants, and like most of the people on the dock had leather moccasins on as shoes.

"Aye that be me." Deisui said holding his hand up "Take it the old fishin dock here is the only dock not stuck in ground zero." everyone on board could see the people below tense up.

"You been here before?" the 'leader' of the militia asked looking at the gray haired sailor.

"Yep I'm an old trader, use to run a shippin line from the island back to the mainlands, ya know before shit went tits up." the old captain replied as he walked down the stairs to main deck "I was in Hi no Kuni when I found out about the siege and by the time I had heard about it nearly a week had passed since it had started."

Mistrust had already started the second the two groups laid eyes on each other, but with every word spoken it seemed to grow more an more. The survivors shifted as many of them prepared for a fight.

'This isn't good…' was the collective thoughts of the whole ship as they picked up anything they could use for weapons.

"Rumor has it a trader was the one that sold us out. You wouldn't happen to know anything about that would you captain…." the man said looking up at the ship slowly reaching for his sword.

"No I wouldn't…" Deisui replied thumbing his own liberated sword before looking to his left and seeing Naruto and Karin both ready themselves. He glanced right and saw the Itachi, Tayuya, and the rest of the people on deck steel themselves for a fight, all of them willing to kill to keep their freedom.

Leveling the front blade of her sights on the man in front Karin pulled the set trigger and rested her finger on the firing trigger. The tense seconds felt like an eternity for both sides as they waited for the other to make the first move.

"ENOUGH!" a female voice yelled causing both sides to look up the hill at the owner. Beside her were many of the older generation, the people who actually survived the siege of Uzu. "I sent you to stop them from going into the village not to attack them you idiots!"

"But mother there was never a ship that was able to make it this far, and you said yourself that it had to have been a trader that sold us out!" the man yelled back at her "How do we know this man isn't that trading captain?"

"We, don't but I doubt a traitor to the Uzumaki would willingly transport one back to the island he so readily sold out." her eyes landed upon Karin who was looking up at the elderly woman.

"He said there was two of them on board." when her son said this her eyes scanned the ship's deck trying to locate the second before landing on the hooded figure standing on the deck above the old captain.

Even under the shade of the hood she could tell he was looking at her, but unlike the other Uzumaki he had never fully lost focus on the people standing before him, he was tense and ready to strike should something change.

Walking down the stairs to the pier she finally got a closer look at the crew of the ship. They weren't experienced sailors, they were sailors out of necessity, and the only one who had the air of a sailor about him was the man standing besides the stairs to the helm. "My name is Himeko oldest elder of the people of Uzu. You people are first people to reach our shores since the fall of our nation, and you will likely be the last."

"Hime…" Deisui mumbled before leveling his eyes with the elder. "Himeko!" he yelled before jumping over the rails of the ship and running towards the woman.

Everyone tensed once more when he jumped over the rail, everyone but one person. "Deisui…" Himeko said dropping her authoritative voice for one of shock. "Dei!"

The Creed Reborn

The smell of blood and sounds of machines beeping surrounded Jiraiya as he looked down at the unconscious form of Naruko. Behind him were two dead ANBU killed by a kunai that was held by Jiraiya. "I spent nearly twenty years trying to find the group you two belong to, and my godchildren were being raised by one…" he mumbled glancing back over his shoulder at the dead ANBU. "To think that those little red crosses where all I need to the looking for, I'm such a fool."

Walking around to the front of the bed he picked up the clipboard attached and started reading through the medical notes on Naruko. 'Brain hemorrhage, blind right eye, blood clots in front lobe, busted right ear drum. Kami what did they do to you…' he flipped the page that expanded on the notes and nearly broke the thin piece of wood at the notes. "Eye witness reports bleeding in right eye, ear, and nose, unknown ocular mutation in right eye as well. Subject has one known seal and two unknown seals, presumably placed by mother, on her body. One on crown of head, second on back. Should subject not show signs of improvement within seventy two hours, preparations for transfer of Kyūbi charka to be made and subject to be removed from support after one week. By order of Hokage… You BASTARD!"

Running through a series of hand seals Jiraiya then bit his thumb and slammed his hand down on the floor. "Summoning Jutsu!" a poof of smoke flooded the room before clearing leaving in its wake two short toads in light gray cloaks.

"Hmm, whats the matter my boy?" the male said looking around the room. He had green skin and white hair that was spiky on top of his head. His beard was short and he was stroking it as he looked around.

"Your not in a fight so why did you pull us away from dinner?" the female said also trying to figure out why they were summoned to a hospital room. She was cream colored with frizzy purple hair.

Jiraiya took a knee and bowed deeply to the pair of Toads, once more adding fuel to their fire of curiosity. "I am sorry Great Sage Fukasaku, Great Sage Shima, but I require your assistance outside of battle." their eyes landing on the two dead Konoha ANBU behind their summoner.

"My boy raise your head, you are our clans lead summoner anything you need will be granted, if we are able." Fukasaku said motioning for the man to stand up.

"My request is two part, the first is simple I require a reverse summons back to Mt. Myoboku…" Jiraiya said before holding out the clipboard for the pair to take. He allowed a second for them to read it before requesting his second request. "Secondly, as you saw behind me Konoha is no longer to be trusted, I request that Minato Namikaze be struck from the summoning scroll."

Finally finishing the written contents of the clip board the pair of Toad Sages had to restrain themselves from attacking the student of Jiraiya. Nodding to Shima she nodded back and disappeared into a cloud of smoke. "It will be done...Will the girl live?" Fukasaku said turning to look to the bed that Naruko was laying in.

"I don't know, but I can't leave her here." Jiraiya replied before walking up to the side of the bed and looking at the seal on her head. 'This isn't Kushina's work…this is the memory seal she made.'he flipped her over and looked at her back, the seal on her back was much more complex with fail safes and traps built into each layer of the seal. 'The basics are that of a tracking seal, but the added parts...Kushina how could you do this to your own daughter…'

"That my boy looks like a subjugation seal." the old toad said raising his walking stick to point at a smaller part of the seal. Moving his stick further down he held it over another small part, "A paralyzing seal…" he moved it once more. "And the worst of all-"

"I know an explosive seal…" Jiraiya grimaced as he looked at the seal trying to figure out a way to disable it. "Just like tags the more charka the seal holds the larger the explosion, and with the amount of charka Naruko has…" he didn't have to finish that thought for the toad to understand.

"How could such a bright family fall into darkness this black." Fukasaku said before closing his eyes in thought. "You know if you take her Mt. Myoboku will be the first place that Minato will look. What will you do when he figures out a way to get there?"

"I don't know Pa, I don't know. But I do know that I have the power to at least protect the light that was born from the darkness, an I will die to protect it." Jiraiya said before pulling out a inkwell and pen.

Even for a seal master such as himself Uzumaki style seals were hard to disable, and with Kushina being the last known practitioner of the style it made it harder. Unlike her family she had an outside the box view on the seal, meaning that what might be a fail safe could be a key, and what could be a key might be nothing more then a added piece of ink.

Touching the ink to her skin he watched as the seal started to light up, each inch he drew the seal responded to differently. He wanted to shake, the pressure that he was feeling from disarming this seal was more then he had ever felt before.

In a flash of light the seal faded into nothingness. He looked over his shoulder and nodded to Pa who like his wife disappeared before picking up the little red head. He knew people were coming his way, and there was one person he wanted nothing to do with.

"Oh Jiraiya…" a sweet female voice said when he heard to door open. Standing in the doorway was Kushina who to the untrained eye looked like she had just walked into the hospital, but he knew the second he touched the seal that she would be coming. "You aren't planning on doing anything…indecent to my sweet baby are you?"

Turning to fully look at the monster before him he couldn't help but think of the better times. A chuckle left his lips as a team of ANBU entered beside her "Nah shes a little on young side, you know being ten an all kinda kills the mood. Now that Uchiha behind you… Ten out of Ten." Kae who was following the ANBU team finialy stepped out behind Kushina and glared at the man with her only visible eye.

"Sorry toadie, the only person I would sleep with is dead, and you ain't even close enough to be a replacement." Kae said pulling out a kunai and spinning it by the ring. "Killed by the man that murdered my clan."

"Ah, you mean Itachi right. Sorry try again, but it was Minato an company that offed your clan." Jiraiya said as he felt the pull for the reverse summons. "Your more then welcome to ask him, oh wait based off your vest you already know. Here's something I bet you didn't know…" everyone waited for whatever he was going to say. "I like panties."

Kushina, Kae and the members of the ANBU team all charged him. Jiraiya laughed as he let the summons take him far far away leaving behind the echos of his laugh. "DAMN IT!" Kushina yelled before stabbing the ground where the hermit was standing. "DAMN HIM, DAMN HIM, DAMN HIM! THATS MY DAUGHTER AND IF I CANT HAVE HER…." she closed her eyes an smiled like a demon "Then no one can."

Kae couldn't move fast enough to grab the hands of the mentally unstable woman before she made a hand seal. She watched in horror as it completed, but nothing happened. Thinking quick she grabbed the redhead and threw her against the wall.

A flash lit the room as a blond haired man looked around. Before him was an empty bed, his wife in a manic state pinned to the wall by an Uchiha who was equally as crazed at the moment, and dead Templars. "Will someone explain what the fuck happened…"

The Creed Reborn

Naruto, Karin and Deisui were all sitting at a table in a run down village about a mile from the ship. On the other side of the table was Himeko, and her son Ichirou, the leader of village and its lead hunter respectively.

"...and that's how I survived." Himeko had just finished telling her husband how she had survived in a coastal cave along with many others, hopping that the escape ships would return for them.

"I'm sorry love, had I known I would have sailed here as soon as I could. Uzumaki killer whirlpools be damned…" he knew it wouldn't have mattered back then, he wouldn't have been able to even make it through and even with the help of Karin it was close.

"Its fine Dei we can spend the rest of our lives together like we swore we would years ago." the elderly couple spend a few seconds staring at each other before a cough broke them out of the trance.

"As nice as it is to finally meet you the person mom claims to be my father, I highly doubt this old drunk is my father." Ichirou said glaring at the man before him. "Nor do I believe that the hooded boy over there is an Uzumaki. The girl maybe, but him there's no way."

"Ichirou Uchiha Shiba… I don't care if Dei was never here when you were a child you will not talk to him like that. He spent the last three decades thinking his family was dead, what would you do if you thought your wife an three kids were dead?" Himeko asked in a tone that left no room for arguments.

"If this is a bad time we…" Naruto tried to say before a fist slammed down on the table and Ichirou stormed out the door. Everyone winced at the sound of the door being slammed when he left the old house.

"That boy, I swear he's as hot headed as you back in the day…" Himeko said looking at the door her son had just left through. "We're going to go talk to him later, for now we need to talk about the two Uzumaki kids you have here an the shipload of people."

"Aye, right mess we have here don't we?" he asked getting a nod from the woman. Sighing he motioned towards the pair beside him. "This is Naruto and Karin Uzumaki, not really sure which branches they are a part of, if they even know what that is in the first place."

"I know I'm from the sensor and medical branch of the family, since I have both traits." Karin said looking towards Himeko. She elbowed Naruto getting him to speak up.

Flipping the hood down for the first time since the ambush earlier that day Himeko finally got a good look at the blond one eyed Uzumaki. "Take it life hasn't treated you well has it Naruto?" She asked trying to pry into the past of the kid.

"It could have been worse. I have people by my side that trust me an I trust them, so its getting better." Naruto said glancing over at Karin, the meaning not lost on the married couple in the room.

'They love each other and wont admit it yet…' the pair thought at the same time.

"My mother was Kushina Uzumaki. If it wasn't for Karin telling me about our family I wouldn't have even known what branch I was from. She said I was from the main branch because Kushina could use charka chains." two things stuck out to the pair, the first was the way he referred to his mom and the second was the fact they had both knew his mom.

"Kushina Uzumaki Namikaze, now there's a name I ain't heard in a long time." Deisui said getting a glare from Naruto. "She was Old Man Ashina's granddaughter if I remember correctly."

"Hard to believe that little brat got married and had a kid, I remember her running around saying all men had cooties." Himeko said adding on to Deisui's explanation "Take it she's dead then, as well as your father young Namikaze."

The temperature in the room felt like it fell a few degrees when she finished. Karin feeling the shift grabbed Naruto's hand and gave it a gentle squeeze, making him realize that all eyes were on him. Himeko's eyes were slightly scared, Deisui had a fire that promised pain should he do anything, and Karin, her eyes pained him the most, that showed worry.

"Physically my family is alive, but they might as well be dead to me." Naruto said with a tone that said he wasn't going to explain further "If you'll excuse me…" he stood up an walked away heading for the door.

Karin quickly bowed and walked out trying to comfort the blond, or at least be there for him. Leaving Himeko and Deisui at the table, with nothing but silence in the air. "His father is the current Hokage in Konoha."

"Then why did he act like that, if he's the Hokage then shouldn't his son be proud of the fact that his father is a good man." the snort that followed made her realize something must have been wrong. It wasn't hard to be wrong since they had been out of the loop for decades.

"Try walking monster and brainwashed whore, that's his parents from what my nephew told me." Deisui said pulling out his flask "He ordered an entire clan killed using some new gas just so he could test it, and Kushina from what Itachi said was brainwashed to the point she can't even function as a sane member of the world." he took a swig of sake and sat it on the table.

"How is this man Hokage then? Wouldn't Sarutobi have figured out he was crazy before offering him the hat?" she asked.

"Sarutobi died october tenth nearly eleven years ago during the Kyūbi attack. From what I heard he was looking fer a replacement before he died, and when a leader dies it falls to the council to elect a hokage." he took another drink of sake "Now that I think bout it Naruto is about the same age as… ah hell far!"

"What's wrong love?" Himeko asked trying to figure out why the man she loved had a worried face.

"We just met Konoha's Jinchuriki…" Deisui said looking back towards the door where Naruto an Karin had just left. "Welp if I wasn't in the books before I sure am now!"

Himeko frowned at her husband she had married him knowing he was missing nin, most of the island back then knew he was, but they learned he was a good person who was just tired of fighting. An odd silence fell upon the room for a while as they just let their thoughts carry them away.

Downing the last of his sake Deisui screwed the top back on and placed it in his shirt pocket. "When were you going to tell me you were pregnant?" that had been the question on his mind ever since he met his son, but there were other matters to attend to.

"I didn't find out until a few days after you left…" Himeko said thinking back on the past. "Don't hold it against Ichirou…" a hand stopped her from finishing.

"I know I won't. It couldn't have been easy trying to rebuild and grow up without a father." Deisui replied looking back at the door "I cant undo the past, but I can help with the future."

The Creed Reborn

Itachi was the only one of the ringleaders who didn't go into the village. His great uncle might have known the leader, but that didn't buy them any goodwill from the people she led. Looking on the pier below him he saw many of the people were still on edge, and that feeling was mutual among those on the ship.

"Well ain't they a bunch of fuckin pricks, don't they know glaring at up at us ain't going to do anything but piss us off?" Itachi winced at the loudness she said that at before sighing. Leave it to Tayuya to draw the ire of everyone on the pier.

In the month they had been at sea she had taken to wearing a tan head wrap. Like most of the survivors she raided whatever clothes she could find below deck. She was sporting a pair of faded blue pants using a rope to keep them up and a maroon shirt.

"I don't think antagonizing them will make the situation any better." Itachi said walking up to the railing beside her. "Besides they have a right to be wary of us, I mean we are the first outsiders to come here since the siege."

"That's besides the fuckin point, I mean we just spent a month on the fuckin water, and before that kami knows how many days rolling around in our own piss an shit. So fuckin sorry if my moods a little fucked up right now when it comes to dealing with them." she said back still glaring at the men below. "Hell if it wasnt for that damn fog we would have seen them coming an fucked them up good."

He had to admit she wasn't wrong. In the open water of the river they had the advantage, but as soon as a well trained shinobi landed in the trees it was game over, that was assuming that they didn't have to protect the people of the ship like he did back in the tunnels.

The sound of murmurs could be heard below him as he looked around trying to figure out why. Looking up the ridge he saw Naruto with his hood down walking briskly towards him. A little bit behind him was Karin running to catch up to him.

"Well looks like the love birds are back…" Tayuya said looking up at the ridge before casting a sideways glance at the one armed Uchiha.

"I guess, and it looks like Naruto isn't in a good mood." sighing he rubbed the bridge of his nose trying to figure out what could have been said that would have made the blond mad. "There's only a handful of things that could have made him mad, and if I was a betting man I would say they brought up his family."

"The fuck? Why would he be pissed about his family its not like the Uzumaki were around when he was born." Tayuya said trying to figure out what Itachi could have been referring to.

"Its not really my place to tell you the story, but his father is a monster." Itachi said looking over at the girl. "All I ask is that you don't bring it up to him." he told her before walking down to the main deck to greet the pair.

Naruto stepped on the plank leading to the ship with Karin right behind him. Needless to say he wasn't in the best of mood, and both Karin and Kyūbi were trying to calm him down. He looked up and saw Itachi standing beside Tayuya at the top of the gangplank. "Don't tell me your here to try an calm me down too?"

"No, I'm just here to welcome you back." Itachi holding out his hand to help the blond the rest of the way. "Where is uncle?"

"He stayed back to talk to his wife, I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't come later tonight." Karin said behind Naruto. "At least that's where he still is now."

"I forgot you were a sensor." Itachi said holding out his hand once more. "How did the village look?"

"I'll tell you about it over some food, not really anything we can do right now till Deisui and Himeko figure out what we are going to anyways." Karin said taking the hand.

It was nightfall when Deisui and his wife returned back to the ship. The locals were at ease seeing their leader and the members of the ship were also at ease seeing the old captain. Walking up the gangplank hand and hand with his wife to the sight of people gathering around them.

"Welcome back uncle." Itachi said as he met them at the top of the plank "Have you figured out what we are going to do yet?"

"Yea we have, took us a while to figure that out. We will be telling you our decision in a few minutes." Deisui said helping his wife on to the ship. "Do me a favor and have Naruto an Karin come up here they are part of the decision."

Nodding Itachi walked away and opened the heavy wooden door leading below deck. The dimmly lit stairs just bright enough to see as he walked down into the hull. Rounding the corner he saw Naruto and Karin were already walking towards him from down the hall.

"Deisui is back, isn't he?" Naruto said looking towards Itachi. "Karin said they were nearing the ship a few minutes ago an woke me up."

"Yeah he wants you and Karin topside to hear what we are going to do from here on out. It looks like it was a joint effort between him and his wife." Itachi said before turning around and walking back up the stairs.

"Well lets get this over with already…" Naruto looking back to Karin. He already had a feeling that whatever choice they made he wouldn't like it.

"It wont be that bad Naru, I mean Himeko seemed like a good person and Deisui, while a drunk, isn't that bad." Karin said following the blond up the stairs to the top deck. When they arrived at the top she saw Deisui and Himeko standing on a crate beside the railing facing the pier.

"Let me start with saying that these people here are not our enemy, nor are they to be treated a such! With that out of the way as the elder of this village I have met and spoken to at great length to the Captain of this ship, and we have come with a decision that will eventually become favorable for both of our groups!" she turned and motioned for Naruto an Karin to join them on the impromptu stage.

Walking up and standing beside each other Naruto an Karin looked out at the gathered crowd of people. "Heh lot of distrust here eh kit?" he couldn't help but agree with the Kyūbi but didn't voice it. Both sides were distrustful of the other and nothing but time would cure that problem.

"Before ya are the reason we sailed here, the last of the Uzumaki. Before many of ya were born the Uzumaki ruled over the lands of Uzu no Kuni, some here remember the days that the clan ruled over these lands." Deisui said placing his hands on the shoulders of the two kids "The last leader of the Uzumaki was Ashina Uzumaki, was a close friend of mine given that I was the last captain that sailed to Bakemono with him." Deisui closed his eyes and allowed his wife to continue on.

"It isn't uncommon knowledge among us that the Uzumaki were masters in the way of seals, and many of you resent them for using them to cut us off from the rest of the world. What is uncommon knowledge is that the Uzumaki were more then just seal masters, they were the only family that had archives dating back thousands of years that they were sworn to protect." Himeko said looking out at the crowd, "Only those with close family ties, or serving in the shinobi forces of Uzushiro knew that."

"That's why were purposing this. I Deisui Uchiha Shiba and yer leader Himeko Uchiha Shiba have agreed to the following. In exchange for allowing us to stay here meself and Itachi will train these two along with anyone who is willing to learn in the shinobi arts, so that in the future Naruto an Karin will be able to lift the lock down on the island."

"The trade off to that will be if anyone wishes to leave the island, Deisui will take you, but you cannot return." Himeko said getting quite a few angry shouts directed at her. "Only those of the shinobi forces or maritime privateer forces were ever allowed to freely come and go from the island. We will take the same model, not because it was the model that the Uzumaki used, but because there are still people out there who wish to destroy our home, your home."

Deisui motioned for Itachi to join him on the stage who stepped up on the crate and stood beside him. "In a week we will start training, I cannot emphasis this enough, no matter the age everyone you see here has a strength that makes them invaluable learn from them just as you would learn from your parents."

Once more voices of outrage were heard among he younger people on the island many of them were outraged that three kids were supposed to teach them anything. Kids that were barely older then many of their own kids.

"In time ya will understand." Deisui said looking to both Naruto and Karin before turning around to face the people on the ship. Most of them were not cut out for the sailors life, even more of them couldn't handle the mental and physical strain that the life would put on them. But there was one thing that shown in all of their eyes be it male or female. The willingness to follow the them to the ends of the earth. "We of the ship will use the old fishing wharf as our homes after we fix them up."

They heard no arugments from the people of the ships, just cheers at the fact that they would have a home. A home that they could call their own.

The Creed Reborn

Something was wiggling in her mouth as she started to regain consciousness. She could faintly hear voices in her head as she subconsciously chewed on the wiggling thing.

"I'm telling ya Pa she needs to eat something even if its force fed!" a older female's voice said. She didn't mind the taste of the food, it was cold and slimy like old ramen, but it wasn't hot fresh ramen.

"An I'm telling ya Ma she needs to rest, its not good on the body if you eat then sleep." she guessed the first voice was talking to the male voice she just heard. Finally opening her eyes slightly she looked around the bright room, her eyes finally landing on the pair of arguing toads. One of which was holding a bowl. A bowl of grubs…

Finally swallowing in shock her eyes met theirs and she couldn't take it anymore. The thought of eating an overgrown worm had gotten to her, shooting off the bed she ran for the open window and promptly puked her guts out.

"See told ya Pa she needed food, if I hadn't been feeding her daily she wouldn't have been able to run like that." she heard the female toad say.

"An I'm sayin you should have waited till she woke up an threw a feast for her to regain her strength. That way Jiraiya boy could be here, speakin of which where is he?" she knew that name, she couldn't place it in her current state.

Puking again she let herself hang in the window, finally having the strength to look around she realized she wasn't in the village anymore. The place before her was steep almost like she was on the side of a mountain. "Where…" she had to hold her hand up to her mouth to keep from puking "am I?"

"Mt. Myoboku, tadpole. Jiraiya left to find you some clothes since all you have right now is that hospital gown." the male toad said. It was at this point that Naruko realized she was indeed in a hospital gown with nothing else on.

Trying to squat down her body couldn't make up its mind weather she wanted to blush or puke. "Sorry…" she said pressing herself into a ball against the wall.

"What ever for dear?" the female toad said sitting the bowl down on a table "You were in a coma for a good while for you to run the way you did was impressive." she started walking towards Naruko with her walking stick. "I'm Shima, and that old coot there is Fukasaku."

"Jiraiya brought you here after some unfortunate...events, my question is what all do you remember?" the toad now known as Fukasaku said to her.

"I-I don't…." Naruko grabbed her head as she tried to remember what all had happened to her, flashes and jumbled voices filled her mind, nothing was making sense. "I don't know, I feel like I should know, but I can't remember."

"Okay then lets start simple then tadpole, what is your name?" he asked as he walked up beside Ma. The look in her face told him the answer before she even said it.

"I don't know…" she said once more holding her head, the look in her told the two sages that the mental trauma ran deeper then just a simple memory seal.

"Then how bout this then, do you know a man with blond hair?" Ma asked trying to gauge the reaction she had.

And Naruko didn't disappoint her head shot up an her golden right eye flaring to life. "Where is that bastard! I'M GONNA KILL HIM…" once more she grabbed her head "But why do I need to kill him? Who is he?"

For the first time since she had woken up had to pair been able to see the golden Dōjutsu she had. They hadn't been told about that little detail. "Do you know what Dōjutsu you have?" her eyes shown confusion.

"Dō-jutsu what is that?" she asked trying to figure out the words being used. She didn't know what a Dōjutsu even was.

"Its an ocular mutation, one that I'm sure neither of your parents have." a new voice sounded from the door way. "I'm sure that they went over that in the Academy."

"Jiraiya when did you get back here?" Shima asked looking at the white haired man cutting Naruko off before she could ask about her parents. "Can you come with me to prepare dinner please. Pa can you watch over her for a while." to most it would sound like a simple request made by the elderly toad, but to the three it was aimed at they all understood the subtle hint.

"Sure, we need to head outside and get some water first don't we?" Jiraiya asked before turning to walk back out of the house. Shima not far behind him.

"That was Jiraiya huh, he doesn't seem like a bad man." Naruko said as she watched the pair leave the room. "What is he like? And why did he bring me here?"

"Tadpole, that's something me an Ma are still trying to wrap our heads around. As for what he's like why don't I tell ya bout em while we wait." he watched with a sad smile as the girl nodded her head. 'What did you Minato…'

(Outside)

The pair were walking in silence down the path to the waterfall, the only sounds heard were that of Shima's staff. "This should be far enough…" she stopped closed her eyes "You removed both of the seals correct?"

Nodding his head Jiraiya couldn't help but wonder what the Sage was getting at "I removed the tracking seal before I even left the Konoha, as for the memory seal you watched me take that off soon after we got here. Why do you ask?"

He got a sinking feeling in his gut when Shima closed her eyes. He knew that face it was the face of someone that didn't know how to break some news to the other person. "I had to ask…" she turned and started walking again Jiraiya right behind her. "Just from talking to her for the past little bit, I would say the damage to her brain was more extensive than we thought."

"Meaning what…"

"That she has no memory or knowledge of the world other then what her mind has gathered in the past little bit. She has reactions to certain things that are embedded in her mind, that much was proven when we brought up her father, but otherwise she doesn't even remember her own name." Shima told him before turning back down the path. "She has amnesia to put it mildly."

Jiraiya couldn't contain himself anymore an he let out his anger on a tree. "Damn it!" he yelled pulling his hand away from the tree, blood dripping from his knuckles. He had hopped that there wouldn't be any long term irreversible damage done but that was just wishful thinking on his part. "I know your not a medic, but whats your outlook on her?"

"I couldn't tell you…" Shima said as they finally reached the waterfall.

(Back With Naruko)

"I'm telling you Gramps, you don't need to repeat things twice!" Naruko yelled face red from annoyance. They had been talking for the past few minutes and in those few minutes the old toad had said and done the same thing multiple times.

"An I'm saying I ain't done it twice!" Annoyance had seeped into Fukasaku voice at this point. He had tried to tell Naruko about Jiraiya and the toads, but each time he went to say something she told him he had just said it.

"You did it again. You cant lie to me damn it!" she yelled back

"W-" the old toad couldn't even start his sentence before she cut him off.

"Don't tell me to watch my mouth!" her head turned and she looked back towards the doorway that Jiraiya and Shima had went out of not that long ago "Jiraiya, Granny Shima tell him he's saying things twice!"

Fukasaku heard the door open not even a second after she said that, slowly an idea began to formulate in his head. "Naruko." he got no response from the redhead in front of him.

"Don't you dare wack me with that stick, and who's Naruko?" she said cutting him off once more.

He had indeed thought about lightly hitting her to get her attention but nearly as soon as the thought had crossed his mind she learned about it. He couldn't even move a muscle.

"That's you name kiddo." Jiraiya said finally walking around the corner. "Can yo-" Naruko closed her right eye. "That works too."

"Wait you didn't say it twice this time…" she opened her right eye and looked at the white haired man "No I am not wearing an eye patch!" she said before getting poked in the side of the head by Fukasuka. "Fine I'll close my eye." then she closed her eye again.

"How did you kno- you know what never mind I'll have to look into it later." Jiraiya said, but inside he was starting to understand what her Dōjutsu really done. 'Its like a sharingan, but the sharingan allows one to process information and guess at what could happen next if the person is well versed. This thing is actually allowing her to either predict or truly see the future.'

The idea that something could surpass the sharingan in an of itself was scary. He could already see hundreds of uses for an eye like that. "Naruko let me see your eye again, and this time just allow it to do its thing and just focus on me."

Nodding she opened her eye again focused solely on Jiraiya. The eye glistened as she focused in and watched the many outlines of the man, each doing something different. It was like watching a bunch of ghosts all attached to someone wiggle about.

Meanwhile Jiraiya was just standing still, but inside he was running through the hundreds of ways he could either reach or startle the girl, but he never moved. Then he stopped and let his minor training as a sage kick in and his mind went blank.

Suddenly all the ghosts stopped moving and there was only Jiraiya standing there. She was so focused on him that when the walking stick poked her in the side of the head it startled her. Turning her head to Fakusaku she started to see the same ghosts. Only this time they were all trying to reach out and block her eye.

It was at this point she felt a headache kick in, and some liquid rolling down her cheek. Closing her eye she rubbed the back of her hand on her cheek and when she lifted it away it was covered in blood.

Both Jiraiya and Fukasaku had witnessed the event. "Tadpole I was bout to close your eye for you…"

"I kn...know gramps, I saw it…" she said resting the palm of her hand in her eye socket. She couldn't make sense of what was going on around her anymore. Tears started to form in her eyes from pain and confusion. "What happened to me..."

Picking up a wash cloth from the table Jiraiya gently wrapped it around her head. The blood and tears soaking into its fibers. "Right now you need to keep it covered." she nodded meekly as he tied the cloth behind her head. "Later we can figure out what to do about it. Then we can go from there."

Something clicked inside of Naruko as she heard those words, a feeling of uneasiness. "How do I know I can trust you? Besides your names I really don't know any of you."

That was the question they had all expected in one form or another as soon as she had woken up. But the damage to her brain had thrown every idea he had to gain the girls trust into limbo, he had been counting on the fact that the return of her belongings would be enough to gain her trust. Sighing lightly he reached into his pouch an pulled out a scroll.

"What's this?" Naruko asked holding out her hands to accept the scroll.

"It's your belongings, the items I was at least able to get back from a certain someone and the items you had hidden in your room." he said before scratching his head "I had hopped that it would be enough to prove that I am a friend, but…"

"Because I don't remember right…" she had guessed what he was getting at and looking longingly down at the scroll. Unrolling it she looked at the contents within. "I drew whatever these are?" she was talking about the seals.

"No I made those, they are storage seals." Jiraiya said putting his finger on the first one and channeling a little charka in it. In a poof of smoke three more scrolls and a notebook fell out. "These were in your room, they must have been important enough for you to hide them. Sadly I cant open them to see why."

"And why cant you open them?" she unrolled one of the scrolls to her it looked like the same setup as before.

"Because its tuned to your charka, and if I went to tampering with it all of its contents would be destroyed." he said pointing to a small squiggle on the side of the seal "That there is its fail safe."

Confusion danced in her eyes as she tried to make heads or tails. "What is charka and how does this thing hold something?"

It was at this point the finial nail in the coffin had been struck and a lone tear fell from the toad hermits eye, he had failed her, he had failed her brother, he had failed them all. She really was a broken little girl, that for better or for worse didn't remember a thing.

A blank slate.

An: Welp that will do it folks. Nearly 12k words right there dam that's a lot. Going to be jumpin around a little for the next chapter since this is technically the end of the prologue arc and I'm trying to move it on to semi cannon times.

So for those who hasn't pieced it together yet Naruto's Dōjutsu is in his left eye and Naruko's is in her right. Naruto can tell friend from foe to some degree and see an altered sense of time i.e. the world around him feels like it moves at a slower pace then it really does. Naruko's can show the many paths someone will take, like speaking and moving. As you can guess since neither is a full blown Dōjutsu they have drawbacks. For Naruto and his altered sense of time, his drawback is the slowing of his heart. For Naruko and her ability to Truly see the future, it is increased stress on the brain, which because of her not knowing caused the state she is in now. If it wasn't for the charka of the Kyūbi(YES I KNOW HIS NAME FOR THAT ONE PERSON SENT ME A MILE LONG PM) she would be dead.

Just to put an end to this before it begins yes I know the difference between Trader( one who deals in goods) and Traitor (One that sells out another for personal gain).

Anyway leave me a review letting me know how I done this chapter and any ideas ya have about what to call their Dōjutsu.
