"No, I think I'm fine," I said to Alice, their younger sister.

"No, you need to come with me!" She insisted.

I was at home for the Thirtieth anniversary celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Cullen, and Alice was insisting on going to Salon to get our hair done.

I didn't even want to come here, but I was missing everyone! I began to feel homesick in the past few days. I didn't like it there anymore. It's as if I liked San Francisco only because I liked Edward's company. I couldn't understand since when exactly someone had such a power over me.

Edward and I didn't meet after the concert, and probably it was for the best. I didn't want to face him. He must be busy with Tanya anyway!

"You're looking so beautiful today," everyone gushed as they saw me at the party, but I didn't care about anybody's opinion. And the only person's opinion I cared about probably didn't care about how I looked!

"Attention everyone! I've an important announcement to make," Masen announced after some time.

He walked towards me and took my hand in his.

"Masen, what..."

"Isabella Swan..." Masen went down on his knees.

What?

What was he doing?

"Will you marry me?" He asked as he took the ring out from his pocket.

What was he doing?

I couldn't process it!

"I know we've had our differences," he said, "But I want to fight for it. I'll try to change everything about myself in a way you want. I'll do whatever you say."

"Masen, look..."

No, I had to stop it!

But how?

Why was he doing this?

A marriage proposal, really?

What was wrong with him?

"I've realized I can't live without you! Please give me a chance to prove it to you. Please marry me, Ms. Swan!"

"Say yes!"

"Say yes!"

"Say yes!"

I heard the loud cheers and claps around me.

I didn't understand what was going on.

How was I supposed to say 'No' in front of everyone without breaking his heart?

I looked around and everyone was way too excited!

My eyes stopped at one person, whose cheers and claps seemed louder than the rest.

Maybe this was it!

Maybe everyone was right and something was wrong with me!

Masen and I might indeed be made for each other!

I nodded my head unconsciously, and soon I could feel the ring sliding on my finger.
