"Aren't you better than me at everything? Haven't you achieved whatever the fuck you wanted? Why aren't you satisfied yet? Why are you trying to take away the one thing that I've and you don't! My best friend! Why are you trying snatch that one thing away from me?"

We're supposed to talk in a civil manner.

We're supposed to talk in a civil manner.

We're supposed to talk in a civil manner.

I repeated that in my mind and took a deep breath.

"She's not a thing that I could just snatch away as I please," I managed to say that without raising my voice, "And also, you've lost the right to call her your best friend."

"My point is, what was the need of this drama?" He asked calmly.

"Yes, that's exactly my question as well," I said.

"I'm not done yet," he said, "You could have said something to me when I said I was going to propose to her. You could have said that if you both were fucking there in San Francisco." He shouted.

"Masen, language and voice," Dad said.

"There was absolutely nothing between us, nothing!" I said, "If you had questions, you could have come to me or her, and try to talk to us without creating this ruckus!"

"I refused to believe that you weren't fucking each other," he said.

"Then that's your fucking problem," I said.

"Let's assume that you weren't fucking, but you definitely have some feelings deep down there... Why didn't you say anything about that when I said I was going to propose to her? Why did you try to make a fool out of me?"

"What was I supposed to talk about?" I said, "You said you had talked to Bella about that and you had her consent, which apparently there wasn't!"

"It was just a miscommunication..." He said.

"Actually you know what? I think I know the one line answer to all your insanity." I snapped, "You aren't able to handle her rejection! That's it!"
