The twins are now seven weeks old, and things have been tense in the house since he and Hermione revealed their relationship. Since everything is out in the open they've both been to look at a property for their time outside of Hogwarts and to raise their little family in. After he contacted an old school friend who he knew did wizarding house marketing, asked him to send him some asap giving him a description of what he and his fiancée both liked and didn't like.
Today they are going to view a little cottage, in the south of the UK, Hermione fell in love with the pictures and so did he. He hoped that not many people had viewed this little gem they'd found. He thought as he held his fiancée's hair back as she puked into the toilet.
They'd also received Hogwarts letters today for what they needed to buy and Hermione's came with a prefect badge, though she's thinking of not returning as a student but as his partner due to the babies, and not feeling like she is who she used to be. She's still the same person, just life has given her a new path. Plus she would still have access to Hogwarts Library, which he's pretty sure Dumbledore will allow, so she can study independently.
"Are you sure your up for today, love?" He asked her. She nodded as she rose and he held her, and flushed the loo for her, closing the lid, as he then carried her to their bed.
"Yes, I didn't realise how much I missed the outside world until we viewed those other properties the other day, the fresh air helped calm my nerves. I'm fed up with the glares and hateful looks from Ronald and Harry. They have no say or right to control my life, just because they basically relied on me for the last four to five years. I have two little ones, and a soon-to-be husband to think about now." She told him moving her arms up, he'd sat on the bed with her, his hand resting on their babies. He leaned down knowing exactly what she wanted and kissed her lips softly, as her arms went around his neck.
"Are you ready to come down love? They won't be happy we are leaving again, and I don't think any of the order is free to come this time, it'll just be us." She smiled.
"That'll be nice, just some time alone from everyone and everything. If only Voldemort would drop dead." She sighed, closing her eyes.
"In my letter, it did say professors are allowed in a week early so I'm pretty sure that Dumbledore won't mind if you come with me, that way you can give him back the time-turner too, and tell him what you decided you want to do," he said to her, he knew his mother was starting to drive her up the wall as well, with the constant wedding planning talk. She'd even dumped a bunch of samples for invitations in front of Hermione last night, and his father actually pulled his mother aside.
"When can we go?" She asked him, "as much as I love your family and everyone, it's too much sometimes." He nodded in understanding and got up, this time waving his wand and packing everything magically into their two suitcases. Which he then shrunk to pocket-sized.
"I think we will have breakfast out this morning, Mums got to learn to let go at some point, this was never permanent for me being back under her roof, and it's not fair on you or the babies to go through this. I almost wish we hadn't told them all and just got married and then revealed everything." He confessed to her, she nodded in understanding and then her eyes lit up.
"We could still do that..." she whispered, and he leaned down to kiss her lips and then helped her up.
"We'll think about it, whilst we have some time to ourselves love." She nodded, and he took hold of her hand, as they left the room for the last time. Today Hermione wore black leggings. He noticed that seemed to be a favourite, these ones had fleece inside, and a baby blue knitted bodysuit. Bill wore black jeans and a dark blue knitted jumper, his hair tied back into a low ponytail. He had put their suitcases in Hermione's beaded bag, which she'd cleverly enhanced for never-ending space inside the tiny bag.
When they reached the kitchen it was quiet and only a few voices talking. When they entered his mother looked up, and then noticed Hermione's bag.
"Please don't start mum," he told her holding his hand up, as she opened her mouth. It seemed to be just his younger siblings, Harry, Sirius and Remus today. He wondered where the twins are.
"I've decided to go to Hogwarts early, to set things up and bringing Hermione with me. I won't leave her or my twins again. We are viewing a property this morning, then we will go straight to Hogwarts after."
"Nothing I say will change your mind will it?" He shook his head. "At least stay for breakfast," she asked them. Hermione squeezed his hand, and he nodded accepting this. They sat next to Remus with Hermione in between them. Ginny had come up to speak with Hermione yesterday, and the two of them are fine and always have been. His youngest sibling actually apologised for her younger brother's behaviour.
His mother did try and make them stay longer until Ron let out a few nasty comments again, and they both left through the front door without looking back and leaving a shouting match behind them! Hermione breathed in the fresh air, and the cool breeze felt good on his skin, having a window open when Molly wasn't looking, just wasn't the same feeling as this.
"Ready love?" She placed her hand on their twins.
"Ready." He leaned in to kiss her lips and they walked to a discreet location to apparate to the location the magical realtor gave him! The person would be there all day waiting for people to view the property.
Hermione fell in love with the place as soon as they arrived. It's built of stone and thatch roof, that they can charm to never catch fire, there's no houses around them for miles, the cottage has a direct front facing view of the ocean, and is one level, it even has a white picket fence, and blue shutters that look a bit worn and run down.
This place has six bedrooms, a large open-plan kitchen/living space and three and a half bathrooms. He's thankful that Hermione's parents gave her a lot of money when she told them what she wanted to do, otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to afford this place on his own. They are very lucky they can afford to buy it outright. He's pretty sure they'll be able to bring the already lowered price down some more based on the work that needed to be done, and how long it's been on the market for and the place needing updating. He guessed people didn't like how isolated it is, but to them it's peaceful and a dream location. He missed the sea, and Hermione has always dreamed of living by the sea.
It definitely has plenty of potential for a growing family. And he would be lying if he said he didn't miss his old place in Egypt with a sea view. Hermione practically dragged him inside, from her excitement and he loved seeing her so bright and happy. Towards the end of the viewing, the realtor gave them some space and they now stood in the living room, his arms wrapped tight around her. What would be their bedroom is the only one with a sea view, otherwise the sea view facing/front of the house is all kitchen and living space, with a large fireplace.
"Bill?" Hermione whispered.
"I know love... shall we go tell him?" She nodded excitedly and turned around to kiss him, he could not keep the smile off of his face! His life savings will be well spent on this place and can picture his family growing here, with the extra rooms, an added bonus.
Shell cottage became there's after the relator apparated back to the office, and made contact with the owners or owner of Shell cottage who accepted their offer. They were there longer than he realised, as they stood in their living room watching the sunset. Hermione is in shock of how quickly the Wizarding market moved compared to the muggle housing market.
They walked around the outside of the property placing wards up, including a few nasty ones for those who hopefully won't try to break through their safety net. Hermione placed the fire-resistant charm on the roof and around the stones, inside the house too, and used it as part of their ward as well. Shell Cottage must be one of the most protected properties on this earth.
"It's a bit too late to go to Hogwarts isn't it?" She asked him, and he nodded watching as she takes out a small square from her bag, and placing it in the middle of their living room floor and tapped it with her wand, he watched it fold out into a tent and she asked him to move it around so it faced their sea view.
Taking hold of his hand, she led him inside, surprised to find it is larger than it appears to be. Placing her bag on the little kitchenette unit, he turned her around and kissed her pouring everything he felt into it. He's said it before but he's one lucky wizard.
It didn't take long for their clothing to disappear and body's to move against one another's, as he made love to his witch in their new home, on the tent's sofa, he transfigured the sofa into a bed with his wand, too lazy and comfortable to move, as he held the most precious person to him, as she slept. Both of them felt completely relaxed after a stressful week and he loved having her completely to himself without interruptions.
To answer someone's question: Bill is qualified he just got the curse-breaker job first :)
