Authors Notes- Look! I finally decided to return to my WheelCee fics after like ALMOST a year? I apologize for that life has this tendency to get in the way sometimes. But enough rambling as you can gather by now I don't own Transformers THAT belongs to Hasbro. I merely borrow the characters for my own amusement. Now that we got that out of the way here is Chapter Two. I hope you enjoy!
Chapter Two: Frustrations
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Jack exclaimed, as Arcee tore out of the base, nearly knocking the teen off as she did so. Realizing this she muttered an apology as she slowed down.
"What's with you?" Jack asked, as he tightened his grip on the handle bars as the drove down the dusty Nevada road they always travelled on.
Arcee grunted, irritation tinting her voice further confusing poor Jack.
"Arcee?" Jack pried again.
Knowing that Jack would keep needling her until she opened up she sighed. " Sorry, I'm just...it's just..." A growl of frustration rose up from her throat. "Do we really need to talk about this?" she asked.
Jack was silent as he tried to figure out what had agitated his partner so much. He had been under the impression that their mission had gone well, aside from the few vehicons, and the presence of Knock Out things seemed to have gone smoothly. At least, that was what he thought, and what Ratchet had told him. But here he was sitting in Arcee's saddle, driving down the road with a very agitated Arcee.
"So," Jack continued, ignoring her previous question. "What happened?" he asked again.
Arcee heaved a sigh. "This mission went fine, it's him." She growled.
Jack had a pretty good idea of who she was referring to. Wheeljack. Jack had noticed that the white wrecker had shoved Arcee out of sight when Jack and the others had walked in.
"Did something happen during the mission?" He inquired.
He had to admit Wheeljack did have a tendency to rub people the wrong way, hell, he seemed to enjoy it sometimes. Especially when the person was Ultra Magnus. So, maybe it was the same with Arcee?
"Apparently he can't go one day without stirring up scrap." "Arcee growled out, as they reached the town, and stopping at the stop light.
"Did Wheeljack do something?" Jack asked, as they rounded the corner. "I saw him push you against the wall, but..." He trailed off, unsure of what he saw.
"You really want to know?" Arcee asked, sighing and sounding tired. Obviously the two-wheeler just wanted to let this go, but if Jack was one thing it was stubborn, something he got from his mom.
"I'm sure you might feel better if you get it off your chest, so what did he do?" Jack asked again.
"He kissed me." Arcee said.
Jack blinked, and was just a little surprised by this. Interesting. Jack thought, as he adjusted her grip on his handle bars. Though he wondered why Arcee would consider this a big deal, let alone be so bothered by it. Arcee never let things bother her, especially things like this, Jack mused.
"Sometimes tells me this has more to do than just a simple kiss?" Jack asked.
The boy cried out as he was nearly knocked off her once again. He didn't like to see Arcee like this. Arcee was silent as they continued to drive, not stopping until they reached Jack's house. Shaking his head he bid Arcee a goodnight as the teen left his guardian to mull over the question. Why did it bother her so much? Why did she react in such a way rather than just brush it off. Arcee stared off into the distance, she couldn't put her finger on it, but there was just something about Wheeljack that bothered her.
No, it wasn't his attitude, hell, she had dealt with worst. But, there was just something about Wheeljack that reminded her of- No! Arcee forcibly shoved that train of thought from her exhausted mind. She could not, or would not think about him she told herself. But as she shifted her tires, her thoughts returned to Wheeljack. Irritation settling in her chest once more, as images of the wrecker flashed through her mind.
Only for Arcee to roughly shove them from her head. As she looked around the sparse garage she currently resided in. As she did she told herself she wouldn't let what Wheeljack did get to her head. In fact, Arcee vowed as she drifted off to recharge. She wouldn't let Wheeljack or his antics get to her any further. Though, Arcee would soon find out that it was far harder than she had initially thought...
Authors Notes- And here is Chapter two. Sorry, it seems kind of boring. I got nothing else to say so yeah. I'll try and get the next chapter up soon and I assure you it will be far better. That being said this is The Exhausted Writer signing off, have a goodnight!
