A/N: Finally getting to use their real names in this chapter! No more Scout this, Sniper that, blah blah blah. Writing this made me so embarrassed and I'm still sure how much I like this chapter XD
Scunt fanfiction, I wish I had a remedy for those darn plot fairies! Always adding tiny plot holes :C
Scout blinked awake to the sound of light snoring. Wait, snoring? Scout opened his eyes wider and instantly went red, realizing he wasn't in his makeshift bed on the floor. He actually was tucked inside the Australian's arms. He panicked internally, breath stopping in his lungs. Scout was faced with two choices, staying still or trying to escape and risk waking the marksman. Scout decided that, though dangerous, moving would be better than having Sniper wake up, get wrong idea and kick him out, or worse. He slowly picked the warm arms off himself and slid off the bed, so quiet that even Spy would be proud. He stood up and released his breath and look of pure terror. He had succeeded, or so he had thought. What he didn't know was that Sniper was quite a light sleeper. Sniper pretended to be asleep, like he had done earlier when Scout sleepwalked into his bed. He waited five minutes before he "woke up" and turned to look at Scout, who was doing a piss-poor impression of being asleep in a pile of blankets on the floor. Sniper couldn't blame him for joining Him in bed, the set-up looked awfully cold. From personal experience being unconscious on the hard wood floors wasn't very pleasant. He felt the scar on his back from the night that gave him that insight and stepped over Scout. He made his way to the kitchen. He gravitated towards the cupboards looking for some non-expired food. Scout strolled into the kitchen and sat at the table behind him. "What's for breakfast?" "Beans and toast, unless ya got any better ideas." "Sure." Sniper brought the meager food over and sat down across from Scout. "Hey Snipes?" he asked through bites. "Yeah" "Since we're gonna be roommates, would ya mind telling me your name?" Sniper paused for a moment. It wasn't a question he had expected. "Sure, only if ya tell me yours first." Sniper said, eyeing Scout. "Jeremy, yours?" Scout offered at Sniper's gaze. "Mundy." He responded between bites. "Mundy huh, I was expecting something more edgy and... Australian?" Jeremy said, quelling away his embarrassment from only a few minutes prior. "Oi, you can't talk, you're the one with the biblical name!" Mundy quipped back at his teasing. "No comment." Jeremy murmured back through bites.
