Ch.54 - Leaving the Mansion

"Well... at least it seems those two are getting along well enough." Ororo noted as we looked at Logan being taught about the parts of his past we had managed to piece together with grim determination.

It was a far cry from the bloodbath Ororo and I had mildly expected, but that was a good thing.

I was still going to use his beat down against him if he annoyed me, but that was for later.

"From what you've told me, a big reason behind his stay here was to have Charles unearth memories hidden within his mind, so it isn't a big surprise." I shrugged, looking away from the currently tamed Canadian.

'I'm just wondering if we could somehow condition the man to be this tame whenever Yuriko is around. Could be funny.' I thought as images of her nagging the man like a bad puppy as he knelt flashed through my mind.

"True, but I've been meaning to ask even if it slipped my mind earlier... where did that yukata come from?" The white haired beauty asked as she was only wearing a light bathrobe and I was fully dressed.

A reasonable question which I wasn't sure she'd ask considering I had instantly stripped earlier before tea.

"That would be Insight." I answered, causing my girl to pop out her near featureless head and a little tendril to wave happily due to being introduced, earning a mix of curiosity, awe and bafflement. "She is a symbiotic being I formed a while back as a means of protection and to help young power holders learn to control, train and develop their powers."

"Fascinating. And... she... can take form of any clothing? As well as conceal herself?" She asked, gently reaching out to touch Insight, sharing a little handshake as my yukata kept changing colors and designs.

"Yes. And when not in use, she retreats inside the host body." I confirmed easily.

"But what does she gain out of this if it is truly a symbiotic relationship?" Her nature aware part questioned.

"The psionic energy any sentient being projects. Insight nurtures the person's brain to generate more energy by improving their psionic abilities and mental capacity, forming a beneficial loop as both parties benefit. The stronger the psionic energy, the better she can perform." I lightly explained as my second partner lovingly rubbed her head against my cheek before retreating back in.

"What a wondrous being." Ororo complimented with an approving nod. "Is there a possibility of more existing?"

"Hmm, technically it's up to her. She will reproduce asexually when she's ready." Was my answer, not mentioning the fact that Insight had formed a few offsprings currently in stasis until I have enough to give to all the girls.

"Fascinating. Although I can tell you would prioritize your own pupils in this case." She deduced with a sly smile as she seemed to have gained enough of an understanding about my thoughts somehow.

'Maybe I should cut back a bit on the bragging about my students and school.' I pondered for a few moments before shrugging at her words, confirming her belief. "Insight's potential, and her offsprings', is far too great to hand out randomly. Hence why I would only trust those close to me or that have proven themselves in my eyes with them."

"Oh?" She intoned with a quirked eyebrow before leaning towards me with seductive, but still regal eyes and body language. "And how... close... would one need to be?"

Well this was an interesting turn and a very visually pleasing one as she purposefully allowed for glimpses of her naked body under her robe and put on a expression of interest and confidence.

And if I was a grown woman as beautiful as her, who had her first sexual experience quite young, was used to the more... natural ways of life, then found myself in a mansion with mostly teenagers and only two adult males, one being a crippled telepath and the other a gruff short guy with too much body hair and who smelled like bear and cigars, I wouldn't really restrain myself too much in showing my interest in others when I found someone intriguing.

I might be a teenager myself, even if a legal one, but my achievements and temperament certainly put me above the term in any way that matters.

"Time." I simply answered while looking deeply into her dazzling eyes with my own powerful emerald orbs, causing her to shudder from the intensity and directness of my answer. "I would need to spend time with you."

"*Shiver* At least I know." The woman before me nodded in understanding before turning to walk away. "The students are returning and as much as I would love to continue our discussion, I must ready myself to assist in their schoolwork."

"Not something which will be productive in this particular outfit I take it?" I jokingly remarked.

"No, not at all." She softly laughed at the thought. "Poor Evan would be mortified as well. I remember the first time he saw my naked body, the boy squeaked like a mouse and ran."

"Do you think he would shoot spikes out of reflex if it happened again?" I asked with deep chuckle.

"Now that, makes me tempted to do so again, but then my sister would be rather cross with me. She doesn't approve or understand me very well due to our time apart, but I would prefer not to cause undue tension as we try and reconnect." She softly admitted with flashes of the difficulties she's been having doing so crossing her mind.

They spent a long time apart after the crash which killed their parents, and while her older sister had begun her adult life after a normal American upbringing, Ororo had to struggle to survive in the most hostile and impoverished continents on the planet until her powers emerged. So after coming back to the US as an adult who had actually been worshiped as a goddess and eked out a living on the streets of Egypt, trying to reconnect with someone so different from herself has been an emotional trial, no matter how each desired to form the sisterly bond they had missed out on.

"Then I shall allow my divine companion to retire and dress herself." I exaggeratedly flourished a bow in good humor to uplift hers. "And as someone who values learning, I would be remiss to not assist you in your duties."

"Fufu~ To be graced with your royal personage in this one's efforts, I am truly blessed." She replied in equal measures before walking away with a sway which would hypnotize most men.

'What a woman.' I simply thought with a wry smile at her getting the last say in our exchange of vocal and physical speech.

Heading out myself, I went to welcome back the teens who were taking amongst themselves with my girls mostly bemoaning the torture which was high school, as well as them talking a lot about how things were done at the Academy.

Not that I would be against the latter part as gaining mutants with great potential was always a plus.

I greeted them with knowing smiles which earned me little glares as they understood that I knew just how boring and stifling a normal school would be to them, but they also told me about their run ins with the Brotherhood kids.

"That St.John guy was a total psycho." Anne-Marie stated with disgust. "He bragged about burnin' people an' startin' bush fires in Australia."

"He lost himself in the fire and lives only to consume." Meggan agreed with a unusually serious face. "The earth-shaker causes only crumbling within himself too."

She knew I understood who she was talking about, and so did the girls. I had given them a telepathic briefing on everyone we risked meeting during our visit after all.

"Lance wasn't too bad, meeting the ones called Toad and Blob did leave much to be desired, even if the ladder has a good deal of potential as a 'tank'." Wanda diplomatically said as the Greek teen was the best of the lot in terms of brains and leadership abilities, but then revealed a predatory smile. "Terrifying Pietro was very satisfying however."

"He reminds me of hares. They brag and run a lot." Meggan airily commented.

"Well, I'm glad you feel happy about it my dear." I told Wanda with a supportive look. "Just make sure you're ready for what comes next.

Magneto might just personally look into matters and cause issues here because you were 'with' the X-Men."

"I'll be ready." She simply stated with confidence:

"And have others by your side, never forget that." I reminded her.

"How could I when they're the best things in my life?" The young witch tenderly replied, causing Meggan to tackle hug her and making them giggle a bit.

"That's sweet Wands." Anne-Marie commented with a soft smile.

She liked the way everyone was so close to each other and kind of wished she could have that too.

Pat*

"Don't worry, it'll come as you spend time together." I reassured the teen who looked at the two with some envy.

They had been together the longest as my students and essentially adopted family, on top of being fellow mystics, Meggan and Wanda had quite the sisterly bond. Anne-Marie wanting something like that, or very close friends, was natural.

Me noticing did cause her to blush a bit however.

"Ah know." She murmured quietly in embarrassment.

"Alright, after dinner we'll be heading back home after that quick stop in London, so enjoy the rest of the evening, say your goodbyes and share contact information as needed." I announced to the girls, causing them to nod before going back to the other teens.

Kwannon gave me a telepathic report of the day as she shadowed the girls and observed the town.

Like myself, she found quite a few things and people keeping an eye on Scott and Madelyne, all of which were made unaware of Wanda, Meggan and Anne-Marie's existences. I wanted nothing of this to leak out, Kwannon being a master in such matters was more than adequate in ensuring that was the case.

Essex was not taking any chances and it showed just how much Xavier lacked as someone who wanted to actually lead and protect mutants. He couldn't even secure his headquarters, much less his surroundings, so how could the man protect anyone properly?

His subconscious ego regarding his telepathy being enough is just foolish beyond belief.

I mean, look at me.

My psionic abilities are far beyond his but I still use the most advanced AI and Tech on the planet, Magic, hundreds of enhanced, superhuman, monstrous and bionic guards, and now Krakoa turning my lands into parts of herself to secure my people and territory. That not counting the other powerful beings such as Templar, Jean, Wanda, Emma, Meggan, soon enough Kevin, Ruth and the younger generation I had recruited to surround Sayako.

Mystique alone could sneak into Xavier's bedroom without anyone knowing for God's sake.

Not sure if she could do anything without some psionic camouflaging support tools or abilities because I'm seriously hoping the man has put some form of passive detection against negative intent, but the fact remains that she's done so.

For now, I joined up with Ororo as we helped the teens through their homework and projects. The girls even helped as well, being at least at undergraduate level in their studies already. It amused me to know that this still boggles the minds of the X-Men, but watching Meggan explain matters in her own unique way while Kurt dazedly looked at her was rather funny.

Their little succubus, Madelyne, seemed to be trying to use her body to attract my attention during this however, causing Scott to grind his teeth and almost openly show anger and jealousy towards me for it. I rebuffed the girl easily, already having multiple more beautiful women in my life, inside and out, but it was still concerning.

Reminds me a bit of Emma, but in the worst ways.

Whilst Emma used her clear sexuality and beauty to augment her charisma and presence, coming off as an unashamed and confident woman, Madelyne was coming off as a temptress and somewhat needy, being an teasing harlot more than anything in my mind.

'She was considered a Black Queen for a reason I guess.' I shrugged as my indifference towards her caused her to grind her teeth alongside Scott.

By the time we were finished, Yuri-kaasan had prepared dinner.

The woman had spent the day cleaning the mansion itself, using her own superhuman attributes passively brought own from years of training her own mutation and specialized equipment to rapidly clean to everything she could, and now she brings dinner.

Amazing as always.

I think she actually honed her enhanced senses to the height she currently has them just to become a better maid, but that's just me.

But soon enough, it was time for us to leave.

"It was enlightening to meet you your highness. I do hope we can continue to at least stay in contact." Charles said as we shook hands.

"Of course Professor. Exchanging ideas is always a wonderful way to stimulate the mind." I agreed with a passionate smile, earning a chuckle.

"Are you sure you can't stay?" Kitty pleaded with big eyes.

"Maybe leave the food goddess behind?" Bobby joined in comedically with a goofy pout, dragging Kurt in for good measure.

"Knock it off you scrubs." Logan barked as he dragged them back in place.

"Miss Yuri is kind of attached to Kai. She has been his personal maid since early childhood after all." Wanda replied with a shake of her head at their antics.

The reveal did earn some jealousy and admiration for the looks of a woman apparently in her thirties, at least from most women who didn't know how bullshit I could be when it came to biological matters.

"It was Very nice to speak with you Kai." Ororo emphasized with a hug before placing her lips next to my ear. "I do hope we can... enjoy each other's presences more the next time we meet."

"Now that would be an honor, goddess." I smoothly whispered with a subtle growl in my voice and a sneaky touch of a few spots on her back to cause her to shudder pleasantly.

Backing away, I see minute signs of excitement which scream to me with how many buttons I properly hit in those short moments.

'I win this time.' I cheekily thought with a teasing grin just to let her know.

"It was nice to meet y'all." Anne-Marie waved with her own grin.

"If Pietro gives you any issues, don't be afraid to call." Wanda told the group as she opened a portal to the London Embassy. "I'm only a moment away."

The slack jawed looks of most present was a good way to leave the mansion as we walked through waving goodbye.

"So... did you three have fun blowing their tiny noggins up?" I asked the girls after the portal closed, earning me three imp-like grins as I knew very well the kinds of opinions which grew from me giving them in-depth information on the X-Men before hand.

"Makin' that clone bitch jealous felt great." Anne-Marie admitted because she really didn't like how the girl kept trying to manipulate her and used the face of someone who's been really good to her while doing so.

"I wonder how Kurt will react when he turns red tomorrow?" Meggan giggled impishly after having pranked the prankster.

"Ain't he supah religious?" Anne-Marie asked just to clarify.

"I know *giggle* that's why I chose red for my spell." The girl answered as her fae nature for mischief leaked out somewhat.

"Fufu~ It is a rather cleaver choice." The chuckling Wanda admitted. "But honestly, for a group which actively seeks out combat and dangerous situations, they've put little thought into their own developments beyond what their so-called leader or trainers would dictate.

They don't seem to be actually trying to go beyond or really improve themselves. It's like they simply view matters as if it was another part of their studies instead of life and death situations."

"It's something to be expected by a hypocrite who tries to hold the morale high ground at all times." I shrugged as Xavier preached mutant acceptance by sending children out to fight battles against individuals they are ill-equipped and trained to take on. "Even after serving in Vietnam, the man remains an academic at heart, and that simply will not be enough to get through the coming times."

"... are yah going to let them lose then?" Anne-Marie asked with a bit of hesitation.

"No. If they need aid or are about to fail, I will pick up the slack and save them." I answered easily, causing the teen to relax.

It might have been a day, but the X-Men were nice in general, and even if I didn't care for Scott Summers or Madelyne Pryor, leaving a bunch of teens who want to do good in the world with their powers to die just isn't me. I could understand why she would want to help them.

"I would go just to get a chance to teach Magneto a lesson." Wanda smirked at the thought.

"Speaking of which, I wonder if some of them will question the Professor regarding him? The revelation that Mystique wasn't the leader should at least cause some gears to turn." I pondered as this was just another little chip at Xavier to help convince the powerful young mutants that their futures may lie elsewhere.

How can you trust a leader who withholds such information from you after all?

The man knows Magneto better than anyone else but doesn't tell his students/soldiers about him, how he acts, his powers, skills and possible weaknesses. He could probably gain knowledge regarding most opponents his X-Men could face but holds himself back and constantly sends them in half-blind. You can't do that and not have it end in disaster at one point.

-Back at the Mansion

"Professor... who is the leader of the Bortherhood?" Warren questioned with a serious and grim look after having finished that day's training session, causing most to be surprised regarding the question before looking expectantly at their teacher. "Wanda said it was her and Pietro's father, not the shapeshifter, so do you know who he is?

You certainly knew her well enough."

That caused Xavier's eyes to widen at the revelation of his frenemy having two living children. He had been under the impression that he had lost his only child.

"So you do know him." Warren confirmed based on the man's reaction.

"Wait! You mean this whole time you knew who the big bad was and didn't tell us?" Exclaimed Evan with a deep frown.

"What about the other Brotherhood 'Chapters'? Did you know about those too?" Bobby asked this time, starting to feel somewhat uncomfortable with matters as they stood.

"Chapters? As in more than a single team?" Xavier questioned back in surprise and concern which seemed to oddly relax some present.

Hey! Lay off, all of you!" Scott intervened before matters became heated, standing between Warren and their mentor. "The Professor'll tell us when we're ready. And I for one, think we're pretty far from being ready if what the girls said was all true."

"But that doesn't mean we should go in blind!" Shouted Warren as he glared at Scott. "Wanda was right when she talked about us not thinking this through enough and I'm not going to just keep thinking about this like it was a game!"

Those words caused the three most playful amongst them, Kurt, Bobby and Kitty, to wince slightly because they truly have been rather lighthearted about things that could get them killed.

They do face weapons and evil mutants often enough to let them know the risks, but it's just that they haven't faced any serious injuries or have anyone die on either side of their conflicts, so they never really thought about things deeper than the superhero fantasy level. Talking to the girls about protective equipment, protecting your identity so people you know and/or care about aren't threatened, extra training or learning, pushing their powers and trying to think outside the box, it kind of made them feel like they really hadn't been taking matters seriously.

In fact, after some thinking, they weren't even sure how they wanted to handle being X-Men.

Most of the team like Scott, Maddy, Kurt, Wolverine and the Professor didn't have this issue due to various reasons, but even Warren, who has a very strained relationship with his dad, has people he cares about and considers family who could be threatened by others motivated enough to try. It's not like they hid their identities much after all.

Just because the Professor says he wipes everyone's memories of them, doesn't mean that'll always work. Just look at Blob.

"We don't! The Professor does everything he can to help us train and do get us information without breaking our morals!" Scott countered with a growl. "As for treating this like a game? We train in a weaponized room literally called the 'Danger Room', who would we consider that a game?"

"Because beside some scratches and bruises, we've never gotten hurt! Sure sometimes some of us get knocked out by the Brotherhood, but beyond that? Nothing!" The winged mutant shouted. "We're all kids, not soldiers! We're supposed to be helping other mutants but all we do is fight other kids who go to our school without helping anyone that isn't nearby!

We have a jet! The Professor has Cerebro!

But we don't go anywhere outside the town or help mutants! And now we realize that we don't even know anything about the people we've been fighting for the last few months! We're fucking jokes!"

"You're right Warren." Xavier suddenly interrupted the two males. "I should have been preparing you for these matters and I have been delaying it in hope that he wouldn't have gone as far as he seems to be going.

Sigh*

The leader of the Bortherhood goes by the name... Magneto."

-With Wanda, after returning from their stop in London.

"Well that went better than I thought." She said with a satisfied smile as she floated before her scrying spell.

'A little push here, some subtle wording and hints there, and one can really accomplish a lot. Just like Kai said.' She thought with a satisfied nod at how Warren had acted as she had desired. 'This should be enough to plant the seeds Emma wants to harvest and make the rest doubt their places enough to subconsciously think about the Academy.

The bald fool isn't fit to lead.

Only Kai can lead us all to better futures.

Xavier and Magneto can squabble all they want while we help him actually make the world a better place for everyone and not just the few.'

With that, the powerful witch smirked as she went back to her studies.

She would do anything to help her savior, teacher and the person she loved the most in this world, especially if all it required were a few subtle spells to help him achieve his aims.

What she could contribute the most was magic. So she would become the best magic wielder for him. And if her skills and his goals aligned to cause her 'father's' ruin in every way as we expose him for the hypocrite he is, then that was just icing on the cake.

Author Notes:

Oh yes, Wanda is a bit of a Yandere.

I don't think that would be really out of character, even after extensive therapy with Kai, which would have just helped her not devolve into a full on one with the facts that he helped her out of an asylum, got her in control of her powers and then some, gave her a family and friends, a place to learn and feel safe and at home, a future, and just the love she's essentially always craved.

Psychologically, I think it was either going to be devotion and resentment at being 'stifled or caged' or something like that, but Wanda was never known to be too stable... so very mild case of the Yandere it is.

She's still very much in control of herself, loves the people she considers sisters in all but blood, and is sane, she just is very devoted to Kai and his cause. So her using some little of that Scarlet Witch trickery to cause so rifts and make others think a bit more in the X-Men, well that was just natural to her.

Beyond that, I am enjoying having Ororo and Kai flirt around one another playfully.

The fact that there aren't exactly that many eligible males in her current surroundings is a valid point as to why she would be very open to having some fun with Kai. Plus, he does have a lot of similarities to T'Challa, who Storm apparently have her virginity to at the age of 12 and later married for a while.

Outside of that, I think I did do well enough with the subtle ways Kai and his girls were helping him poach talents from the other teams. Now with Emma setting up her new power base in the States, she can slowly form her own school or teams there with Kai's support to properly gain a foothold there, possibly taking in most X-Men when the time is right.

Yes, this stuff is multiple steps in the making.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed the end of that little visit.
