"Callum, these are beautiful!" Rayla exclaimed after her boyfriend allowed her to look through his sketchbook.
The dragon queen and allowed them and the human forces to camp near the storm spire for a few days before returning home and the two of them were taking the oppertunity to relax a little and spend time togerther.
"Ah, most of them aren't anything special." Callum blushed and sheepishly looked away, earning a giggle from his girlfriend.
Then she gasped.
"A-Are those...?" she trailed off and and looking down Callum found she had found a drawing he had made a while ago.
A gorgeous drawing of her guardians, Runaan and Ethari embracing each other with loving smiles.
"I-I kinda wanted to give that to Ethari." Callum awkwardly rubbed the back of his head, hoping he hadn't upset Rayla as she stared at the drawing with wide eyes.
"H-He-" she stopped and swallowed thickly, "He'd love it. You even somehow perfectly matched the way they look at each other." she smiled tenderly, fingers lightly caressing the drawing.
"I'm glad you think so." he sighed in relief, grinning when Rayla pecked him on the cheek.
"Hey, guys!" they turned around and found Ezran and Soren running their way.
"Hey, guys!" they greeted back in unison.
"Oh, are we looking at Callum's new drawings?" Ezran cheered excitedly as he plopped himself on Rayla's other side to look at the book in her lap.
"Well, look that that! Does this mean you swing both ways, Callum? Drawing hot guys like that, I mean?" Soren teased.
"What?!" both Callum and Rayla cried.
"It's not like that!" Callum cried, face bright red.
"Hey, it's nothing to be emberrassed about, man! I mean, I kinda swing both way myself!" Soren laughed cheerfully.
"Those are my dads!" Rayla groaned, multiple emotions flicking across her face.
"Dads?" Ezran asked, "But isn't that one of the assassins you were with? I though both your parents were in the dragon guard."
"Yeah, you're right. I mean, my actual parents were in the dragon guard but Runaan and Ethari were their best friends and raised me for years while my parents were away." she explained.
"Kinda like a pair of foster-dads." Callum added.
"Oh, alright then." Ezran nodded and looked down at the drawing again.
"I guess they are pretty." he said.
"Say, what do you actual parents look like?" he then asked Rayla.
"Oh, I drew them too. They're right over... here!" Callum took the book and turned a few pages before finding the drawing of Tiadrin and Lain.
"Whoa... You're mom is really beautiful and your dad is handsome like your other dads, Rayla." Ezran remarked sweetly.
"Thanks, Ez." Rayla smiled gratefully.
"Yeah, they're hot too." Soren nodded, earning a disgusted groan from Rayla.
"Ugh! Can please you stop calling all of my parents hot?!" she whined.
"What? It's a compliment. Ask someone else if you don't believe me. In fact, let me just get some extra opinions!" with that the crown guard snatched the sketchbook and ran off with Rayla giving chase and telling him to knock it off.
That left the two princes alone.
"Callum?" Ezran then askek his brother.
"Yeah?" Callum replied.
They could see Soren talking to a group consisting of Amaya, Janai, Gren and Corvus and all of them nodding in what seemed like agreement as Rayla stood with her face in her hands.
"Do you really think all of Rayla's parents are hot?"
"Uhm... Kinda?"
"Kinda?"
"O-Okay, so maybe I do think they're all pretty hot when I actually look at them but don't tell Rayla!"
Ezran laughed at his brothers bright red panicked face.
"Don't worry, I wont! For your sake and Rayla's!" he assured, laughing more at the sight of several soldiers actively swooning at the book with Soren grinning smugly at Rayla who looked like she was close to murdering him.
