"The dirt over here is magic too!" Callum cheered after scooping up a his one-thousand-and-something-th hand of dirt, cooing at how the mark of the earth glowed on his cube-thingy.

"Yes, Callum. That pile of dirt has magic too and so will all the other dirt you find." Rayla sighed at her friend.

At first it was endearing to see him get excited and glow with wonder at how literally everything was connected to an arcanum and wanting to check every animal and plant, but the constant checking of the literal earth they walked on got old after twelve times.

"Don't go getting all snappy on me! I never thought of magic dirt being possible!" Callum gestured to all around them, Zym excitedly running laps around them.

"I kinda wonder what it could do." he mussed.

"Could do...?" Rayla trailed off, lifting a skeptic eyebrow.

"I'm not talking about using it for dark magic! Geez! I meant, would it be possible to use for other things than dirt in Katolis?" he asked.

"Maybe. What uses does dirt have in Katolis?" Rayla decided to humor him.

"Well, not much really. Actually, when dad wanted to send me and Ezran to the Bather Lodge, he suggested we'd build a dirt-man." Callum shrugged before perking up.

"Hey! If I made a dirt-man from Xadian dirt, do you think the magic would make something happen to it?" he asked.

Seeing her chance to mess with him Rayla smirked to herself before putting on a grim face.

"Dirt-man, you say?! Listen to me, Callum! You must never, ever create dirt-men out of xadian earth!" she cried out, catching the bot off guard.

"W-what? Why?" he asked nervously.

"Many years ago, an group of naive elf children decided to create elf-like forms out of the the earth of different areas in Xadia. They were just playing around but mixing magic from different types of earth, even from the same arcanum was not something to take lightly. The elves of dirt came to life and they were not friendly. Mercilessly, they slaughtered everything in their way. They also learned how they came to be and how, they could be make dirt-elves themselves and bring them to live by just adding one small grain of their own magical bodies. The new dirt-elves themselves made other dirt-elves and kept spreading their magic and so multiplying. It took the combined fources of all six types of elves and the dragons to finally put a stop to their terror, though many lives were lost. In the end, the evil dirt-elves spread out through the wind, spreading their special dort all over. Now, nobody must ever make dirt-elves for there is a chance that dirt-elf will will contain even one of the special parts and start a new war of the dirt-elves." Rayla darkly told.

When she was done, Callum stood, gaping at her in shock before finally pulling himself together.

"I- Rayla- I didn't mean to! That all sounds horrible and I swear I didn't mean to start a-" he stuttered, only stopping when Rayla was unable to keep her composure anymore and burst out laughing.

"Oh! Oh... I'm just messing with you, Callum! There were never evil dirt-monsters terrorising Xadia!" she admitted, hugging her stomach.

She laughed more at seeing his scared face going to surprised and then outraged.

"You- Rayla! I seriously just thought I was about to release the dirt-pocalyps on Xadia!" he yelled.

"I'm sorry, Callum. It was just too good of an oppotunity to pass up." Rayla giggled, whiping away a tear.

Callum looked like he wanted to argua more but in the end just grinned and shook his head with a shaky chuckle.

"While it's a little to dark for my taste, I guess it was a pretty good prank." he admitted.

"Good enough to finally make you stop wanting to examine every patch of dirt you find?" she asked.

"Maybe..."

"Callum..."

"Alright, I get it. No more stops for dirt."

"Good, now let's go."
