"We've got this sack of bread from the Banther lodge." Ezran cheerfully told Rayla after they barely managed to escape Amaya.

"I thought this was a bag of clubs." Rayla said as she took one of the baguettes and swung it around.

Even when the binding ribbon tightening itself and made her drop it, the 'food' proofed itself quite durrable, breaking a literal rock in half.

At the moment Rayla felt resturbed by how the boys tried to play it off, but she had to admit, it could be useful so while she could survive on berries, nuts and a couple of mushrooms, she accepted the one piece Ezran insisted she'd take.

She had a feeling the bread might come in handy one day.

Rayla ran as fast as she could towards Viren, the psychotic dark mage being in the middle to trying to consume Zym as the baby dragon did his best to fly away.

It was no use, she realised in frustration.

She'd never reach them fast enough, even if she were to literally dive and throw herself at Viren.

But then she realised something else could reach him in time if she threw it.

"Bread, don't fail me now!" she yelled as she reached into her clothes and threw the peace of bread that she kept for weeks with all her might.

The world seemed to pass in slow-motion as the bread flew through the air, Viren noticing it and turning his head to look just in time to get smack right in the face.

"Owww!" he cried as he stumbled backwards.

Right off the edge of the Storm Spire.

Both Rayla and Zym didn't respond at first, only standing still and struggling to catch their breath as they stared at where the man had fallen.

Then it hit them.

Rayla gave an excited shout of victory, throwing her arms up before Zym launched himself into them, slobbering all over the elf's face with many many zappy kisses.

"You- You killed Viren with a piece of bread?!" Gren blurted, though it was unclear if he was speaking for himself of translating for Amaya's as her hands signed.

It was probably both since they and literally everyone else had the same look on their faces and were probably all thinking the same thing.

"Yup!" Rayla chirped, hands on her hips and lifting her chin proudly.

"Let's just say you were more right than we all could have thought when you said the food at the Banther Lodge was weapons-grade." Callum shrugged sheepishly.

"Wow..."

"Hey, hang on!" Soren suddenly shouted, alarming everyone.

The crown guard shoved his way through the crowd and grabbed Rayla by the shoulders, "Rayla!"

"Uhm... Yeah? What's up?" Rayla asked nervously.

"Please tell me you shouted 'eat this!' when you threw the bread!"

There were a couple of intense seconds of silence.

Then Rayla groaned and slapped her forehead.

"No! I didn't but that would have been so cool!" she groaned and Soren as well as multiple others around them whine in disappointment.

Callum just sighed and shook his head.
