Somewhere warm in the Isles, where living palm trees grow…

Hunter stretched after he collected the materials his uncle wanted to study with him, and relaxed in his bed which was a master suite in an inn.

He heard his cousin had entered the Isles not too long ago and didn't get the chance to send a hello with Private School and his duties as a Golden Guard (not fully since he must be 18 to be fully endoceratid). He was thrilled to get his older brother's job after he moved in with the mayor and started his own family and wanted to live up to his legacy. Atticus is the best and Hunter was going to make sure he would be just as awesome as his older brother. But he could at least check up on his baby cousin since she's learning from an eccentric witch teacher.

He dialed up from the mirror as he knew Luz would have one too, then waited as the mirror rang like a phone.

"Hello?" Luz wondered, appearing in the magic mirror her father gave her.

"¿Qué está pasando, hermana lavanda?" Hunter greeted in a jovial manner and chuckled at his cousin's reaction.

"Hunter, hey! How's it going? Haven't heard from you for a while." Luz greeted her older cousin with a big grin on her face.

"Pretty good. Sorry I didn't check up on you sooner. I've been investigating as the Golden Guard and checking out antique and forgotten automatons and automata. I wanted to learn more about the inventions before the empire." Hunter explained, "So far, I found a couple of stuff."

"Sweet!"

"So, learn any new spells?"

"Yeah, look, look, I'll show you!"

Hunter watched Luz draw a Glyph with a piece of paper then tapped it, causing a ball of light to appear.

"Ta-da! I found my first spell on my own." Luz proclaimed as Hunter's jaw dropped.

"No. Way. You learned Glyph Magic on your own?" Hunter marveled at the light as he tried to get a better look at it.

"Glyph?"

"Yeah, Glyph, one of the oldest forms of magic! Look, look!"

Hunter scurried around as he showed the books on the magic of Glyphs.

"Glyph Magic is a magic that is powered by the magic around it, in nature itself. Very few knows of this, one of them being Uncle."

"Daddy knows this?"

"Of course, he does, he's a scholar at heart. He's dedicated himself besides taking care of us and the isles to the study of the topics of the unknown and forgotten. Years of research and discovery revolutionize the islands in ways we didn't think possible. Collects data, and studies, then categorize them. We are pretty curious by nature, it's in our family's blood." Hunter proudly proclaimed, "From what I read, it seems the best way to search for Glyphs is to find them in their natural environment. They are hidden in ways you wouldn't think of. That is pretty much what I have but I could send you some more on the topic if you're interested, for a price."

"You mean this?"

Luz then presented another novel in the Cosmic Frontier series.

"Sweet! Have that sent to my room and I'll send over the books."

"Sound good, have fun on your mission. Love you, Cous."

"Yo también te amo. Hermana Lavender. Good luck in your studies."

Then he turns off the mirror as he was looking forward to getting home with his new book waiting.
