Lacrosse field

Third person's POV

A whistle blows. The lacrosse team's assistant coach gathers

The team on the field, stiles and Scott lagging behind. Stiles begins.

"But if you play, I'll have no one to talk to on the bench. you really gonna' do that to your best friend? "

"I can't sit out again. My whole life is sitting on the sidelines. This season, I make first line."

Heading for the field, he pauses to notice... Allison following Lydia to the bleachers.

"Mccall! You're in goal."

Scott turns to coach bobby finstock, a man with little comprehension of the difficulties of teenage life. He tosses Scott a bundle of goalie equipment.

"But I've never played goal."

"I know. Scoring some shots will give the boys a confidence boost. It's a first-day back thing. Get them energized, jazzed up."

"What about me?"

"Try not to take any in the face."

Stepping into the net, Scott glances to the bleachers where Allison watches with Lydia and Nate as he hears the talking.

"Who is that?" Allison asks pointing with her head at Scott while Lydia and Nate follow her gaze.

"Him? I'm not sure who he is. Why?" Lydia answers her and Nate frowns a little but hides it Scott looks at them like he can hear them so he is pretty much convinced that he is a supernatural creature.

Scott is shocked to hear Allison asking about him. But with his hearing momentarily turned up, he flinches at the whistle blow, the sound ringing through his skull. If he wasn't sure before this pretty much confirmed it and from the looks of it, he was recently turned Nate wonders how this escaped them when they were looking into the town.

One of the bigger players charges forward as the assistant coach passes the ball to him. Catching it, he whips his stick forward, hurling the ball toward the goal. Still reeling from the whistle, Scott looks up too late to see the ball soaring toward him. It bounces right off his helmet and into the net. The team laughs wickedly. Even the coach snickers.

"Hey, way to catch with your face, McCall!" Jackson calls out from the line.

Cheeks burning under his mask, Scott steals himself for the next player. When the whistle blows again, he's ready. The assistant coach passes the ball to the player who catches it and fires it right at the goal. Scott moves startlingly fast, almost an instantaneous reaction. Then he notices the player staring at him with a mixture of disappointment and surprise. Scott has the ball. He caught it. When the next player takes the shot, Scott catches the ball again. And then again. And again. Nothing can get past him.

This kid what the hell was he doing blatantly showing off his powers. From what Lydia said he wasn't this good did no one give him a crash course about the supernatural? Nate ponders.

"He seems like he's pretty good." Allison comments. "Very good" Lydia adds.

"He must have been practicing before school. From what you said about him it looks like a new development." Nate says.

Intrigued, Lydia keeps her gaze locked on Scott who now stands with a far more confident posture. Until he sees that Jackson is next in line. Glaring at Scott, he practically strangles the lacrosse stick with his gloves.

"Oh, God..."

The assistant coach tosses the ball up. Jackson launches forward, catching the ball and spinning around to fire it at the goal. But Scott moves with supernatural precision. The ball lands right in the pocket of the goalie's stick. Stiles lets out a holler, jumping up on the bench. In the bleachers, Lydia stands and gives a whoop as well causing Jackson to throw a look at her. She returns his glare with a sly smile, a warning to step up his game. Grinning, Scott gives the goalie stick a whirl, spinning it with a flick of his wrist and sending the ball soaring right into the pocket of the stunned assistant coach's stick.

"This kid..." Nate shakes his head at Scott who clearly enjoys shows of his supernatural powers.

Scene Change

The school ended and now we see Nate and Allison talking about the classes and the teachers and whether they were good or bad, interesting or boring. As they walk out the door, they see Chris Argent waiting for Allison in front of his car. Nate follows Allison to greet Chris again.

"Hello again Mr. Argent"

"Hello Nate, how was the school?" He greets back and asks.

"Nothing special but I think am on my way to making some friends so that's great I guess" Nate answers and looks at Allison indicating that she was one of the people he was talking about. Allison smiles at him.

"Same thing here. A girl declared me as her new best friend" Allison adds knowing that she would be asked the same question later.

"Anyway, I will be going for a tour around the town so if you like we could go together?" Nate looks at Allison and asks her. He thinks it would be a great way to get to know each other better while he waits for her answer.

Allison looked a little surprised at the sudden request and as she was already planning for going out herself, she thinks it a great idea to have company. She looks at her dad for permission to go with him and Chris catching her look nods.

"Really that would be great. I was already planning to go out to check out the town so it would be nice to have company."

"Cool, I'll come over at six is that alright?"

"Yeah, ok then six o clock I will be waiting"

"Ok then, see you later" Nate smiles at them and walks off.

Scene Change

Nate goes home. He eats the food Amanda prepared and decides to start some of the homework for school. After 2 hours Nate finished all the work. He looks at the clock and thinks it is time to start preparing to hang out with Allison. He takes a shower and wears some other clothes. When it is time Nate goes over next door to call Allison he rings the bell and waits.

The door was opened by Victoria Argent Chris Argent's wife and Allison's mother. an attractive middle-aged woman who looks around 35 years old with short, dark red hair, bright blue eyes, and very pale skin. She was rather tall for a woman, standing at around 5'9". Her clothing is neat, clean, and put-together, and her fingernails are painted a bold red color.

"Nice to meet you Mrs. Argent my name is Nathaniel Lockwood I live next door" Nate greets her politely and smiles.

"Yes, Chris and Allison told me about you. it's nice to meet you too. Wait a second I call her right now" Victoria says and goes back inside. She goes to the stairs and yells "Allison? Nathaniel come get down" and she hears a "yes mom". She goes back to Nate to talk to him.

"Now I expect her to be home by 9 is that understood" Victoria tells him with a stone-cold face. Nate pales a little and straightens up.

"Yes Madam" he says as fast as he could "but I don't think we going out for so long" he adds.

"Excellent now I have food in the oven why don't you come and wait inside it looks like she is taking her time"

"No, thank you Mrs. Argent I don't want to bother you and I think she won't take that much" Nate answers her.

"As you like" she states and goes inside to continue preparing the food.

In a couple of minutes, Allison is down you see her wearing casual clothing nothing really special about it but still makes her stand out.

"Hi, Nate I Am ready to let's go" she says.

"hi, okay let's go then, and you look nice" Nate tells her and you can see Allison blush a little and shyly put a lock of her hair behind her ear with a small smile. "Thanks, you too" replies back. After walking to the sideway Allison asks.

"Do you mind if we take my car? Mom is a little bit strange with new people." she asks.

"No, of course not, whatever your mom is ok with. Besides she scares me a little." he answers with a playful smile.

"Great, thank you. I know what you mean trust me, This way"

After getting into the car Allison drives away. After an hour of sightseeing and small talks about themselves and the places, they have visited they go to get smoothies. As they decide to call it a day suddenly rain starts pouring down with thunder following close by.

"Great, at least we were going back because otherwise, it would suck" Nate says annoyed as it didn't say that it would rain today. Allison agrees with him.

While going back outside is so dark that you can hardly see anything and the rain makes it harder. As Allison looks down for a little to change the music from her iPod a dog runs in front of the car. Nate yells to Allison to watch out but it is too late even with Allison hitting the brakes as hard as she could the car hits the dog. She starts panicking and crying too.

"Hey hey, it's not your fault, okay? The dog ran in front of the car you couldn't avoid it even if you saw it sooner" He comforts her while running a hand on her back in circles.

"I-I don't-we should che—check it out may—maybe it still alive" she says clearly shaken up by the accident.

"Okay, am going to take a look you wait in the car, okay?" he says and she nods at him

Nate gets out of the car and goes to check out the dog. He sees it there laying down drenched, there is no blood anywhere and it still breathing that's a good sign. He scoops it in his arms and goes back to the car.

"Allison, open the back door" He shouts so that she can hear him over the rain and thunder. Allison seeing the dog shows a relieved face and opens the door. Nate quickly puts the dog in the back and rushes inside.

"What do we do now Nate?" She asks still panicking but not as hard as a few minutes ago.

"Okay, Allison, I want you to calm down because you can't drive in this condition. Look it still breathing and there was no bleeding so it's not that bad now we take it to a vet to take a look in case it broke a bone or something okay? Now start the car and don't drive over 30" Nate says in a comforting way.

"I-yes okay." She says as she tries to calm down. She puts the GPS for the animal clinic and starts the car.
